Wake Up

He turned down the power of saber the instant she mentioned it.

There was a slight fear that he would end up slicing her in half, and that would be rather embarrassing, considering all the things he had done to fix her up. The thought though brought a smile to his face, the oddity of that situation was rather silly, and he couldn't help but grin thinking of something so odd.

Shaking his head, he turned to Kira.

“Aright my little imp.” He said with a wink. “Show me what to do.”

He spun the blade in his hand, twisting the weightless blade around for a few moments. He knew well enough how to a few things. Quietus had used a lightsaber after all and he had played with it, on low setting, as a child. Though the actual fighting was absolutely naught to him. He waited for Kira's instruction, expecting her to move first.

"Imp?!" came the feint cry of affront.

"Imp!" the blade went gesturing over at Soliael as an extension of Kira's wagging finger.

"Look here Young Soliael," for lack of a last name in respecting his privacy, Kira went with the non traditional first, interacting with him as if he were her rather rambunctious padawan. The attempt to appear stern was rather comical as this was Kira after all. Not to mention, short blonde women rarely if ever make a rather imposing appearance.

"That is no way to greet your instructor of the blade this eve," her chin would rise, and she copied the rather stuffy air some of the more die hard blademasters of the Order would do.

"This is a serious matter, that requires focus... concentration..." she would blink then say slyly, "And an ability to take a beating." came her mischievous grin, all manner of seriousness gone from her expression.

She would finally wave him over. "Alright... how about you tell me first what you do know -- that includes the basic techniques of traditional sword fighting styles." She would flick her saber up, bringing it to her palm. A quick tap was used as a test over her flesh. Yup, there was the sting, but thankfully, no burn.

"Then we can take it from there."

Soliael pondered for a moment, trying to remember the basics of lightsaber combat. He had perused a novel about them once or twice, seen others fight, and of course had fought lightsaber users. That was simple, he had beaten quite a few lightsaber masters through simple brute force. He pondered for a moment more, then turned to Kira with a slight shift of his stance, the lightsaber being gripped a bit tighter in his palm.

“I know very little.” He admitted. “Though the basic forms, the stances, the moves. Following through with it, actually doing it myself...Well that's all rather different isn't it?”

Shrugging Soliael moved forward slightly, closing the distance.

That was the beginning of lightsaber combat, getting close to your opponent. From there the rest was really just batting around the two weapons. He did the same thing that she did, only to his wrist. The slight sting hurt, though it wasn't noticeable after a few seconds.

He batted her blade with his, bouncing it off gently.

The weightlessness felt odd. “My mother showed me long ago how to use a blade, a normal sword, but it was never my thing. Much like beast taming.”

Or many other skills. He waited for her to begin physically instructing.

With that bit of information, Kira was able to fill in the gaps. She would go over the traditional seven forms of the Jedi, explaining that at the base foundation, lightsaber combat was much like traditional sword fighting styles. Defensive postures, overhand strikes, parries and counters. She would further emphasis that a lightsaber was not just a tool, but an extension of oneself -- to move on instinct as if one would react with their own body.

She went over the basics of combat with Shii-Cho, described the various body target zones. She further would elaborate on the three rings of defense, marks of contact, ready stances, and a few of the more common form specific maneuvers. As Kira was a Jedi who rarely would wield the saber unless she absolutely had to, she could only give a general instruction on the subsequent forms and a very glossed over education on what they entailed and how they would function.

Twenty minutes later amidst jokes, banter, and a poke or two with her saber to keep Sol focused - he kept trying to kiss her - they were ready for their first spar.

A wide grin would draw over the Lorrdian's lips, "Alright... let's see what you got buttercup." her wrist would rotate, and said imp would start. She gave swing of her saber in a basic sweep meant to slash at his shoulder.

"As you wish my lady." Soliael shifted slightly, moving so that the blade didn't strike him at all. That was his natural instinct, to dodge the blade entirely then grab it with his hand. That was simple instinct, born of years of fighting in a particular style. He forced himself however to stay in place, instead raising the lightsaber to meet her blade in a half flick of the wrist.

A spark, and a sudden crashing noise rummaged the room as the two lightsabers met.

He grinned slightly.

Soliael was childishly proud of himself for having backed away from his instinct, for having met her blade for blade instead of doing what he would normally do, what he had done to her on Metalorn. He grinned slightly, then flicked his wrist forward once again.

The blade slid down Kira's for only a moment, then it lifted and sliced towards her leg.

At the same time he pressed himself forward, sweeping his leg out forward towards her own legs to knock her off her feet. Perhaps not following any of the standard forms, but as long as it was bladework, Kira shouldn't complain.

Right?

Sparks would sizzle and fall as Kira would move into her traditional defenses. Woo for a parry-- whoa! Leg sweep coming at her. This is where she'd normally just go for headbutt or a reach out to stun, but well, this was to help him learn the basics. Well that's when she used her tiny body and did what she did best, sliding out of the way to his left.

"Oh, is that how we are playing?" she'd say, flashing a grin. The purple pink saber would rise to press the attack anew. This time attempting to swipe at his chest with an underhand slash from hip to shoulder. She wasn't one to normally act on the offensive; she had always been a support defense kinda girl. Simply taking her time. But if they were going to fight a little bit dirty...

As she proved on Metalorn, she can certainly rise -- or fall to the occasion.

He tried to flick his wrist to block her attack, but found himself fumbling slightly, the hilt of the blade not quite swinging in the direction he wanted it to.

Thus he found himself struck by the end of Kira's lightsaber, it was like a stinging slug biting him on the hip and continuing through his upper body. Soliael let out a little yelp, his grasp on the lightsaber tightening slightly as the blade passed through him. He shook slightly, trying to get goosebumps out of his skin.

“No.” He sounded very dejected. “We aren't.”

Soliael gave her puppy dog eyes, then broke out into a grin.

The False God slashed forward with his lightsaber, cutting towards Kira's legs to try and numb her leg.

The little brat -- Well, she should have known better than to fall for it. But she did. Distraction Kathpup look was super - effective!

Or maybe she can just blame the fact she has one less toe. Either way, Soliael managed to get Kira in her attempt to move and block at the same time. Maybe gravity did have a thing against her. She felt the sting line down her leg and well, down she went.

Ow....

But not before she sent an equal swipe to his own leg aimed for the back of his knees.

He tried to flick his wrist down to block her, though the blade struck to the left.

Kira's lightsaber cut through his leg, and suddenly all feeling was gone from beneath his knee. His eyes popped open in a sudden feeling of pain, and Soliael out of the suddenness of the numbness Soliael went tumbling forward. He flailed slightly, the lightsaber deactivating in his hand as he fell down and of course, landed on top of Kira.

“Shiiii-” Soliael said as he crashed into her.

This was inevitable.

This was how their interactions went.

Gravity took over.

"Whoa whoa!" She immediately pressed the button to deactivate her saber only a hairsbreath before the big lug of Soliael came tumbling onto her. Her body heavily protested to this fact, as did her hip for she was on a knee when he crashed into her. They both went sprawling onto the floor, a tangle of numbed arms and legs -- and laughter.

A lot of laughter. Namely from one Lorrdian blonde Jedi Master on her back with a False God using her belly as a cushion from the hard floor. A belly that was spazzing in her chuckles as she'd say, "The.. the look on your face!"

More laughter.

"Priceless!"

Soliael lay with his head on her stomach, he grinned, didn't laugh, but grinned. A wide toothy grin that ended with a look towards Kira who was still laughing. His leg was completely numb, something that wasn't aided by the wound that was still festering there. Still, even because of the numbness he couldn't stop grinning.

Perhaps that was Kira.

“My face?” He asked reaching up and grabbing her hips. He began to poke her sides, tickling her and prodding her skin lightly, hoping to tickle her more and more until she eventually peed herself.

But not really.

Hopefully.

There came a soft squeal as the probing fingers went darting over her blouse, running up and down her ribcage. The lightsaber hilt went clattering onto the floor, rolling away forgotten as Kira would push and bat at his hands.

"No! Stop!... hahhaha," she would try to get away, but one leg was still tingling and numb from his swipe. It ended up more like a half squirm wiggle across the floor for about a foot. Her laughter would echo around them, the normally silent walls resonating with that melodic sound.

Tears of mirth would start to smart her eyes, her hands attempting to make a grab for his wrists. "No! Bad Padawan!--" she'd say breathless, between gasps, laughing "I'll demerit you!!"

He grinned.

With a quick flip onto his stomach Soliael pulled himself on top of her. He pinned her to the ground, poking her sides and running fingers over her skin carefully to tickle her even further. He grinned a wide grin, that boyish playful smile that told of absolute mischief.

There wasn't much she could do here, oh she could use the force certainly, but until then he had her dead to rights. His fingers moved deftly over her, his hands prodding and pocking into her.

She kept laughing, squirming under him now. Really, it was a horrible position to be with. The more she laughed the more ticklish she'd get. But then the more Sol would tickle her... the more she would laugh.

It was a vicious cycle.

She still had no sensation on her leg, but her hands would try to bat his as much as she could. Finally, she'd react the only way she'd know how. Fighting dirty.

Both hands went grabbing for his wrists, the Force surging between them as she'd laugh. Her intention? The same thing she did on Metalorn.

Stun him.

She wanted to use the force eh? Well he perhaps couldn't use it it in a harmless way, not always, but he could counter what she did. He felt the tingling numbness of the force entering his wrists. Muscles began to tighten, tendons began to straighten, and his skin began to teem with a strange prickling sensation. His eyes popped wide open, and his grin grew as he focused on fighting off the effects of the stun.

“You Cheat!” He screamed out to her.

Then suddenly, he simply collapsed on top of her.

It was unclear of whether or not her force stun had actually worked on him, but rather randomly Soliael had simply decided to go entire limp on top of Kira. The bulk of his weight sat atop her, his face buried in her neck and his arms flopped to the side on top of hers. His legs lay stacked on her as well, and his entire body weight pinned Kira to the ground.

Effective.

"Omph!" he bore down on her with his full weight. Kira couldn't help but give another attempt at a squirm, what with him breathing down her neck now in the way he lay on top of her. This would not bode well.

It was a struggle to breathe, let alone laugh, but she couldn't help it. More so when she would pant out with notable smugness what he had told her hours prior.

"It's not cheating..." her arms would rise up to rest against his shoulders, fingers curling over the fabric of his shirt. " Simply taking advantage of opportunity." she'd say as she tossed his words back at him, stifling a laugh as she'd try to shove him off. If she got him good, he would be down for about a minute or two.

She had not.

Soliaels face split into a grin.

As soon as she lifted him slightly his mass somehow increased, as if he transferred more of his bodyweight to the upper half of his body. He came crashing down on top of her to land and pin her in place once more. He made sure to not hurt her, almost doing a slight push up as he landed on her again, then resettled himself down atop her to be a heavy counterweight.

“That only works when I say it.” Had she sight of his face, she would have seen the wink.

Instead she would suddenly feel the startlingly cold sensation of his lips touching the skin on the nape of her neck. He had never quite warmed up from his earlier trip in the ice caves, and his lips were still quite cool to the touch, especially onto something as warm as her neck.

"You little -- " Well he got her good, surprise flashing over her expression as she'd attempt to shove at him. However, it wasn't working. It also didn't help matters that his cool lips were making their way over her neck.

"By the Force! Your lips are cold!" her hands went straight to his face, one aimed to cover his mouth while the other tried to push his head away. Her body would shudder under his as she'd laugh, well attempt to. Pinned as she was, it was a bit more harder to breathe. Her hair was fanned out all round her, the cardigan and blouse she wore riding up to bare a slit of flesh at her sides.

"Don't make me do it again!" she'd threaten, but it wasn't much of a threat. Her eyes were bright, full of amusement and a mischievousness that would match those that would upon her. She was having fun.

"I'll do it!" a half breathless warm warning would flow by his ear.

He forced his way past her guardians hands. His head burying deeper into her shoulder as if he were digging for something with his nose.

His lips touched her neck again, then again, then again.

Cold touched hot over and over again. A grin split his face as he kissed her neck. He was still dead weight on top of her, still unmoving and pinning her to the ground. Soliael weighed quite a bit more than her, and even with considerable strength in the force it was rather difficult to move his bulk, at least without hurting him.

“Will you?” Soliael taunted. “You'll be stuck here for hours.”

Kira couldn't help it. As much as she tried he would press on. The rascal! The things he did to her! And he was enjoying himself too! Another soft squeal and laughter combo would ensue, until finally she simply cried out in exclamation.

"Parlay!"
