Wake Up

[member="Kira Talith"]

"Yes it is." He said quietly as he popped open the newest footlocker. Unsurprisingly there was more of the same as he'd found in the other crates contained in this one. An assortment of grenades seemed to ring inside of this box, three compartments separating a mass of orbs. Just from looking Soliael could tell that the middle compartment contained concussion grenades, the left most were cryoban, and the right most were thermal detonators.

All of them were properly housed and separated.

"Enough weapons to start my own Empire." He said flatly. "And some engine parts."

He was sure that there would be much more in the other storage rooms, especially given that the ship had been outfitted for expedition of another galaxy. He had no doubt in his mind that they would find gear for every kind of planet they could find, space walks, and probably setting up more than one colony or base.

Kuat Driveyards was always prepared.

"You could say that..." Kira replied, her nose scrunching up in distaste. Her reaction would be understandable; Kira wasn't the sort of woman who would escalate deadly force if she could help it.

Perhaps that was one of the reasons that Soliael had found himself intrigued so long ago. It had been that belief that had saved his life on Metalorn when they had first met. There, the tiny blonde Jedi Knight had protected the young Sith from the hail of Republic fire.

Kira would not willingly harm others, much the less kill anyone.

"I think that perhaps we'll have to salvage what we need from whatever we find," she added, plopping down on top of the stool. Both her bare feet came to rest on top of the rungs, and she took another bite from the bacon.

"Maybe look down in engineering?" another pause.

"Or we could cannibalize one of the protocol droids...."

Soliael shook his head. "We'll find what I need eventually."

He was confident of that.

"It's just a matter of searching through all of it." He frowned for a moment, running a hand through his beard in contemplation. "There's about seventy six rooms total on his ship, most of those were previously residential in nature, probably about forty of them. All of those have now been converted into storage rooms with each storage room housing different things. I'm confident we have everything we need, it's just that I can't find it right now."

Soliael let out a heavy sigh. "No need to start taking apart things we might need later."

If it meant that they had to spend some time searching then that was what they would have to do. Sooner or later it was better to catalog everything anyway. It was better to do it now then when they ran into an emergency and needed something desperately.

Another solid crunch!

“Wecoodjust --” Kira swallowed, licking her lips. Yum, salty! “We don’t have a manifest or something?” came her query, although the obvious answer is that her husband wouldn’t be going from locker to locker and cargo hold to cargo hold if they did.

The shake of his head said that was a big nope!

With a small ‘Huh’ of wonder, Kira took another sip of her latte and a forkful of eggs. Chewing quickly, she tossed back out. “I can start cataloging while you go through this. Might as well knock two womprats with one stone,” she suggested.

Their trip down to the planet may be delayed a little bit, but it wasn’t as if they didn’t have the free time to.

"I think we left it at home." Soliael commented quietly. "Maybe Kaile accidentally took it with her when she left."

It was best to blame one of the kids.

"Well, I've already searched three of the rooms. One contained engine parts, the other was filled with stuff for the hyperdrive, and this one seems to be entirely weapons and explosives." They were all useful in some way, even the weapons. Soliael and Kira didn't really need weapons of course, but maybe they would run across a settlement that could use them or sell them down the line. Of course Kira would object to the latter, but Soliael was a bit more...flexible.

"Get a notebook." He prodded her. "We can start writing stuff down."

It would be a long day...night?

He wasn't sure.

"What, you want me to be your secretary?" Kira teased her husband, scrunching her face up as she shone him an impish expression.

"That better come with side benefits," She said, wagging her brows under the straight fringe of her bangs. She gave a saucy wink and another bite of bacon. Munching on it, she hopped off the stool.

"You left yours back at the lounge didn't you?" she inquired, the blonde length of her messy ponytail swinging to and fro at her back. They had spent some time cuddling in the acceleration couch the day prior, and he had been reading on his datatablet. Better do it there so they had it handy.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"No." He insisted. "Kaili took it. The kids are always taking things from the house. Food, lightsabers, datapads, Micah took an entire bed once, remember? Never know what those kids will ransack from the house when they go rummaging through."

Soliael shrugged. "It's to be expected now."

The truth was....well he wasn't actually entirely sure what the truth was. Kaili may have taken his manifest, or he may have simply forgotten it. Either way it wasn't on board the Freya and that meant they would need to use something else. At this point it all couldn't really be helped, especially since Soliael himself would never admit to anything like that having happened in the first place. He turned to Kira and offered her a big smile, slapping the top of the footlocker back into place.

"Anyyyyyyyyway. Let me open up the rest of these boxes." He didn't expect to find anything but weapons, but it was important to see which weapons were where and what.

If they needed them, it was once again better to know then not know.

Kira laughed. She stood there and laughed upon the threshold of the storage room's hatch. An expression of disbelief turned into a narrowing of her eyes in wry amusement.

"Nohei took your datapad?!" She gave a snort, the sort that said she knew her husband - and children - better. " if it was cookies or food, okay... And well Draith said he needed that bed!" Ever a mother defending her children. Although Kira wasn't blind to their children's antics.

"You know I'd wonder if mayyybe," she began, turning with a flounce to leave, yet her singsong continued." You forgot it."

A pause and her voice gree distant we she went in search for her own datapad."or lost it!"

[member="Kira Talith"]

"Impossible." He said flatly. "I'm the god of Knowledge."

Soliael called upon his past, probably not the best move.

"I don't forget things, that would be absurd. That would be like saying I couldn't breath, it just doesn't make any sense. Maybe you lost it. Left it on the Kitchen counter after getting curious and reading a little bit. It's okay though because I forgive you." His words were quick, punctuated, and emphasized with a quick turn away from her as though he had other business to attend.

Though of course, there was no other business.

There was really only a massive collection of footlockers and other storage cases. He wondered briefly if this room was entirely filled with nothing but weapons. There was a chance he would also stumble upon some armor here, something which they may actually need and find useful down the line.

"I am a loving and forgiving husband." He said with his back turned.

Oh reaaaally?

Good thing Kira hadn't left yet, because the jaw fell and then closed fast. Narrowing her blue eyes at the "God of Knowledge," Kira knew what would come next.

Just a little bit of payback!

And that, ladies and gentlebeings, would be how Kira's husband found himself with a wife dazing as fast as she could back to him. Good thing she had set down the latte, it left her hands free. Free to do what had to be done with such sass he expressed not moments ago! Sass that would require payment!

In this case, a sharp crack of her hand right on his left buttcheek.

Were it to land, well, she'd immediately lunge to get out of the way! Complete with maniacal giggles and a smug expression to boot. If she didn't, well -- I'll figure it out then!

[member="Kira Talith"]

Unfortunately, being the God of Knowledge did not mean that you could tell the future. It was really the one flaw that there had been in the lore. Of course Gods were supposed to be omniscience, and in a way he was. Soliael knew almost everything, and everyone, who was important. There were loose strands of connection between almost everything, and those strands could be used to vaguely predict what was about to happen. He had done it before, most force users did.

However.

That did not help when your wife moved to smack your butt.

So the hand came down, and Soliael reacted in turn.

He spun around in a flash and in the middle of that spin reality began to break around him. It happened so fast, so quickly, and without warning that one might have thought Soliael had simply snapped from reality, but of course that wasn't the case. Instead the former false god ripped himself from reality itself, only to throw himself back into it just behind Kira. His arms quickly swept around her and picked her up, yanking her off the floor in one quick swoop.

Kira gave an immediate squeal!

"Cheat!" she cried, laughing and wiggling as she squirmed within her husbands grasp. "That was totally cheating!" she insisted, kicking her legs dramatically. The movement caused her bangs to cover her eyes, prompting another hot puff of air to blow them away from her face.

Staring at him over her shoulder she gave a mock glower, a flash of bright blue in her pale eyes, "You blinked!" in feint accusation, the curve of her wiggling in her attempt to squirm free.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"It's not cheating to use the tools you have." Soliael said simply as his arms tightened around her to prevent her from wriggling free. "I just happened to have mastered the mystical arts of the force."

He sounded smug.

"I can't help it that I'm so Knowledgeable." Smugness increased.

Of course, Kira was far more skilled than him in several areas of the force, but that hardly mattered right now. Reality slowly began to shift around him once more, tearing, biting, and then suddenly warping as Soliael once again moved through through space. Within an instant they were in the bedroom again, Soliael tossing Kira down onto the bed with an almost comical ease.

"See?" He said smugly again. "I'm amazing."

He twisted reality once more, and was suddenly on the opposite end of the bed.

"Mpffft!" Kira sputtered out as her dimunitive figure bounced on the sea of blankets on top of their bed. Arms and legs scrambled for purchace, and her blonde hair fell down from its ponytail. Ohhh this guy....

"That is totally cheating and you know it!" she cried out, trying to bound up from the bed. "Amazing. Hah!" She gave a small bark of laughter, although granted maybe he was a teeny bit right. But that was a minor technicality!

"Ohhh, you think you are soooo good." Kira exclaimed, drawing out the words. Her right hand went curling about her pillow. In an instant she shot it over to him, throwing it right at his face. It was an attempt to distract, as she scampered over to try and get out of the bed to nab him fast! Muscles still protested, but this was about coming out on top!

Well, so much for cataloging the spare equipment. Instead, Kira was now focused on stunning the bejeezus out of her husband.

It was a matter of honor! Pride! And bragging rights!

[member="Kira Talith"]

The trick was too easy. It took a lot out of him, true, but actually utilizing the power didn't actually take a lot of effort. Soliael could move himself within literally...a blink. He didn't need to concentrate, not at this range, and he certainly didn't need to cast some magic spell. All he had to do was think it, pull the force into himself, and then shift space itself. Once you learned how to do it the entire process was actually laughably easy. He was more then sure that if Micah ever learned it he would be angry at just how easy it was.

When Kira threw the pillow, Soliael simply shifted once again.

By the time she jumped the former False God was in the door of their bedroom, his shoulder leaning against the frame, his eyes set upon her, a long smirk set on his lips. "I'm sorry? I can't quite hear you from all the way over here my love."

He positively beamed.

She was right of course, it wasn't really fair, but then again a lot of things weren't. Like the fact that he had to go through every storage room on this ship.

Her frustrated growl came from her throat, but it was in no way serious.

"One of these days you're gonna regret that Devin!" she yelled out at him, one leg detangling from the bedsheet. She managed to stand, half tempted to toss another pillow at him. But the brat would only blink again, she was sure.

She gave a short, Hmph!" and turned on the balls of her feet, heading over towards the large walk-in closet they had. Another hot puff of air, and she tossed her bangs away from her eyes.

"I'm sure you still won't be able to hear me all the way down at the storage room too!" she said with her own sass, pert behind disappearing as she went into the closet.

He blinked one final time.

Soliael tore a tiny rent in reality, and suddenly he appeared behind his wife. His arms quickly wrapped around her, his lips pressed against her neck, and he pulled her into a tight, yet gentle embrace. "Don't be mad."

He whispered into her ear.

"Maybe..." He began to say as he kissed her neck over and over again. "If you're good on this trip..."

Soliael continued to kiss. "I'll teach you my trick."

The former False God had always vehemently denied teaching the trick to anyone, his wife included. Perhaps he was just tempting her now, or perhaps he was being entirely serious, it wasn't always easy to tell with him.

Kira sucked in a sharp breath through her teeth, turning it into a half groan of mock frustration. What he did to her wasn't fair. Already, tiny little puckers of goosebumps ran down the length of her neck along with the shivers down her spine. He knew exactly what to do to make her melt. The brat!

"Uhuh," she began, attempting to protest only to feel the hot trail of his lips kiss up close to the soft delicate spot behind her ear. Her body shivered and eyes shut tight. She was almost distracted by his obvious ploy to butter her up when he said it. Granted, this was after giving another little shiver that had nothing to do with the cold.

"Wait, what?" her aquamarine eyes snapped open and that perked her up. It was immediately followed by a narrowing of her eyes. Oh really? Was this a trick? Another way to extend their little wager - spoiler, Devin always wanted to see if he could extend their wagers - and get his way? It was hard to tell. Even through his ring, she wasn't able to discern if he was being serious or not.

Oh he thought he was sooo smart! We won't mention how technically, yes, he is.

"Oh really?" she sang out, suspicion in her eyes. Turning in his embrace, Kira tried to get a good read off of him. However,Soliael merely kept his wicked little mission path along the side of her neck, drifting over her collar. Toes began to curl.

"Ahh.... now you are just trying to distract me!" she cried. Although she very obviously did not move away.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"Is it working?" He asked quietly.

In truth he wasn't quite sure if he could teach Kira. The idea of it had popped into his mind once or twice, mostly for safety reasons. Out here they were...isolated. Soliael would barely be able to manage to jump back to the regular galaxy if he tried. It wouldn't take a lot of strength...but the sheer concentration and willpower, that was what would drain him. The idea of closing such a distance, warping and bending reality as such fathoming distance...it was nearly unthinkable.

Doing with with Kira too?

Impossible.

Like any good father Soliael was concerned about his children. He knew that all of them were all older, well trained, and could defend themselves...but there were certain threats still lingering that even they couldn't face. He was confident that he could handle most things...but he would feel more secure with Kira fighting by his side, at the very least he then wouldn't have to worry about her getting in trouble elsewhere at the same time.

Something he always did.

It was impossible not to smile at the way Soliael inquired about it. The deep thrum of his voice reverberated just alongside the shell of her ear, a nuzzle of the tip of his nose right by her lobe.

Sinking against his embrace, Kira gave an exaggerated sigh, trying her best to try and maintain a measure of an advantage here -- but it was difficult when he was so damn charming!

Not to mention that little thing he did with his lips that had me -- Kira gave a small shiver.

Ooo, he soo played dirty!

"Maybe..." the Lorrdian began, her voice trailing into a half giggle that faded into a light groan.

"Maybe you need a little work..." she slid her gaze to watch him from the edge of her peripheral. A smirk danced upon her lips.

"Teach me how to blink, eh?" up she tilted her face, "Hmmmm..... tempting... very tempting..."

He had always told her before that he wouldn't. Not even for the kids. Not twelve hours ago he had done the same. Would he actually do it? It was honestly hard to tell with Devin. Regardless, he would do what he thought best. Be it to teach her the trick or not. In the end, Kira never pushed him to do it.

"How do I know you won't say anything just to get into my good graces again?" she teased, scratching his jaw with her fingers with a curl of the digits.
