Wake Up

[member="Kira Talith"]

The trouble with the tables being turned was that Soliael still outsized Kira by the same degree that a Bantha outsized a womp-rat. He was much larger, and that difference meant that when Kira wrapped an arm around him and attempted to drag him out of bed...he wouldn't budge.

A smile floated on his lips either way. "You can stay in bed."

The former False god leaned over his wife, whispering with a smirk.

"I'll just go explore the planet by myself." He went on with a smirk on his lips. "Find the treasure..."

Soliael wouldn't actually go without Kira of course, but that didn't meant he wouldn't say it. After twenty years of marriage Soliael knew exactly how to coax his wife, and this was one way. Perhaps someone else would have accused him of being nefarious, but really that was the only way you could win in marriage. A bit of mischief here and there.

"hrnnnnggg!" Kira's protest bubbled out of her mouth against the pillow, a muffled groan that said he was totally being unfair. Getting up was always a terrible thing for the Jedi Master, especially when her husband made everything so nice and warm.

One blue eye creaked open, peering up at him with a squint. There he was, the smirking buffoon! He had no right to look as good as he did then. Ugh, curse him and his good genes!

"You wouldn't." she uttered, blowing a hot puff of air up to push her bangs away from her face. They fanned up, only to fall back down upon her forehead. For added emphasis, she gave his thigh a nudge with her own.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"I Would." He lied. "And could."

Soliael said quite simply. In truth he didn't even really want to go down to the planets surface. Not because he wasn't interested in seeing what was down there, but because it would take time, a lot of time. They couldn't explore the entire planet of course, and really they would miss quite a bit even if they did go down there. He thought for a moment, then decided that it was really important that they get some kind of probe droids working out.

The probes could check out a planet before Kira and Soliael even got there, test the atmosphere, scan for life forms, really those were the most important things.

Plus, probe droids wouldn't be all that hard to make. Soliael was pretty sure that he could assemble one with a snap of his finger and some spare parts, and that wasn't some sort of exaggeration either. The toughest part would be the hyperdrive, but even that was childs play for someone like him. "In fact..."

He began as he slowly stood.

“Hey. Hey!” for someone still half asleep, Kira certainly moved fast. Then again, she’d always been rather nimble. Arms managed to swing round Soliael’s neck, and she clung like a small weight around him as he still annoyingly stood up.

Really, this being about two thirds of the height and a third of his weight was not conducive to keeping him pinned. Unless I went for unsavory means…

“No leaving without me!” she cried out, and for added emphasis, both legs went wrapping around his waist. If anyone saw them at that moment, the Lorrdian would appear to be more of a Kowaikian Monkey Lizard than his wife.

Granted, a naked one at that.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"Hm?" He said, half turning towards her.

It was incredibly obvious that he wouldn't actually go without her, mostly because it would mean a very big and huffy Kira...well, big was a relative term of course. She wouldn't actually grow in size of course, but she would try to intimidate him the best she could. That had been her favored tactic for the last two decades or so whenever they got into an argument, or rather, whenever Soliael displeased her in some fashion.

He looked down at her...or twisted around towards her.

"Well then get up." He said simply. "Get dressed."

Soliael poked her nose. "Lots to see."

Considering she was quite literally hanging off of him, having him say 'well then get up' was rather humorous. Then again, Sol could be rather silly like that. A wiggle of her nose at the poke and the Lorrdian gave a dramatic sigh.

"Finnnee..." she trailed out, sliding her legs down and off of the man. Bare toes touched the bed and then her knees. Her arms released the former false god and he was free to go. Meanwhile, Kira plopped down on her bottom and gave a loud, hearty yawn. Both arms came up, stretching high and wide. It was a little bit cold and it showed, but nothing that would be too uncomfortable.

Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she half mumbled out, "Are you gonna make breakfast?"

He was, after all the better cook.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"No no." He responded with a slight smile. Breakfast probably would have been good, but he didn't even really need it. Soliael was still quite good to go from the energy he had gained from Kira herself just a few days before. He still felt like he could run a marathon and a half without even blinking. Of course, that wasn't why he refused to make breakfast, his reason was a far more logical one, one that he was sure Kira would love.

He slowly turned to face her with a smile.

"We'll have to catch it." His face broke out in a wide grin. "On the planet of course."

Soliael was kidding, but he wanted to see Kira respond.

In all their years Soliael hadn't ever actually taken Kira hunting, in fact, he couldn't remember ever taking her camping either. Oh there had been tents in the backyard with the kids, but never actual camping with just the two of them. They'd never had the time...or maybe they'd just liked their comfy beds too much.

At that, Kira gave a slight cant of her head to the right much like a confused kath put.

Did he say, catch?

Not that Kira was new to the concept; Micah, their son, had a tendency to bring back wild game he'd caught for Soliael to grill for dinner. However, she had not been privy to the hunt nor the details of it all.

A slow scramble off the bed left Kira fighting with the blanket for her freedom.

"Wait.. what catch it?!" she asked, hopping on one foot to try and detangle the other. Plenty of bouncing involved but soon enough she was free.

"Like, fishing?" Fishing was catching things! A toss of her hand sent the blanket back upon the mattress. Bending down, she plucked the discarded shirt from earlier and slipped it over her head, her mused hair popping out a second later as she smoothed it down.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"I suppose." He mused out loud. "We could go fishing, though I was just gonna hand you a spear."

Soliael actually had no idea what kind of animals existed on the surface of the world below, but he imagined that a spear would probably be sufficient enough to kill whatever else they could find down there. A quick flash of his memory returned him to the cave beneath Exocron, the massive red tailed beast they'd found there and the damage that it had been done. He frowned for a moment, then considered Kira, looking her up and down as if assessing her hunting capabilities. "Maybe a force pike."

A wide grin broke on his face.

He was kidding of course.

Kira...well Kira wasn't a hunter. The idea of his wife killing anything, an animal included, was a laughable prospect at best. Perhaps if the creature was threatening her, Soliael, or the Kids, but otherwise? He found the idea very unlikely.

“You suppose?” she burst out with a gasp of mock shock. “You suppose?!’” there was a shimmy and then a half-crooked grin. By now, she was looking for pants. Couldn’t go down to the planet pantsless! Well, Devin might like that a bit too much, but they didn’t know the particularities of the environment yet.

Speaking of...

“Spearfishing??” Ah, hah! She found pants! Holding them up rather victoriously, the petite blonde shot a grin over her shoulder at her husband. A curious expression bathed her expression, “So you can fish there?”

Had he already looked it over?

“I know it’s a Type One, but I didn’t manage to get the specifics on it.” she admitted, doing the ol’ hop and jump in place to slide her pants up over her hips.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"I have no idea Honey." He fessed up. "For all I know the oceans only have giant manatees."

Soliael shrugged.

The planet was a complete mystery to him, they hadn't sent any probes below and he hadn't bothered to read the scans either...or rather, he'd been a bit preoccupied with sleep and...well yeah. He frowned for a moment and thought about just what they may actually find down there. "We should shoot down some probe droids."

He finally made the suggestion out loud.

That would be for the best. It would be rather awkward if they went down to the planets surface and then found a bunch of mythosaur sized creatures roaming around. It wasn't like they could handle the threat...but Soliael would rather know what he was walking into.

"Or maybe the Protocol droid..." He trailed off. "He could communicate."

"Didn't we leave the protocol droids on Rishi?" she reminded him, giving a half chuckle. Not that it would be their only protocol droids... well one hoped.

"I can go check on the probe droids we have." Kira offered, slipping on her sandals. This was not her going out and exploring clothing that was for sure. Her husband had it right. They couldn't just go in blind. For all they knew, this was also a low-tech world. If that were the case, they should keep anything high tech under the radar.

Hmm... Activate stealth mode on the probe droids then...

Grabbing a tie for her hair, she wandered on over to his side. "I'm gonna go make breakfast first." she said, sticking out her tongue to him as she tied her hair up into a messy ponytail. Her objective was the refresher, at least to clean her teeth first.

"Not everyone on this ship has a full belly you know!"

[member="Kira Talith"]

"We have more protocol droids." Probably.

Soliael still wasn't exactly sure what they had and didn't have on the ship, in fact...well...he frowned for a moment and tried to mentally catalog some of the equipment that he'd been made aware of so far on their journey. It didn't go too well, but he managed to get a small picture of at least some of the things they had on board. He frowned for a moment more, then shifted slightly and stood, looking out towards the door and half stepping forward before looking to his wife.

"I'm gonna poke around." He said finally. "You eat. I'm gonna see what we all have on the ship."

This was important.

They had enough food, water, and whatever else to survive no problem, but Soliael wanted to make sure they had everything they needed to do some of the other things they had planned on doing.

"Don't get into trouble there, buster." Kira said over her shoulder, padding into the refresher. Her chuckle would echo, the sound of the sonic toothbrush being activated following after.

Hmm, so they'll first need to see what probe droids they have. Then breakfast. Then deploying of said probes. Their sweep of the planet may take an hour or so; at least in the small location where they will start first. It could very well be a few hours before they even are ready to see if they could viably head dirtside.

A slight frown crept over the Lorrdian's face at this. Cleaning her teeth, she mulled over another thought; Devin had said they were going to catch their meal...

Fishing she could do. That couldn't be too hard.

It was the hunting of anything land based that seemed a bit out there. Draith and Devin were the two who were more apt to such things, with Kayrhi a close second.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"What could I possibly do?" Soliael asked as he began to wander away and head towards the storage bays.

Half of the ship had been converted into a storage place, probably more then that. The ship usually needed around two hundred people to actually properly run it, the automation process had cut that to two. That meant all of the regular storage areas that would normally be used for food, all of the recreational, and almost all of the barracks could be taken and converted into more storage areas. That meant The Freya was chock full of goodies and supplies.

Just as Soliael had wanted.

It also meant however that things were hard to find.

Soliael had already gotten his first taste of that when they had been back on Rishi, and now that they were floating around...well it would likely be even harder. Unfortunately for the two intrepid explorers the good people at KDY didn't leave them a map, catalog, or any sort of inventory of what was actually on board. Perhaps they had forgotten, or perhaps Soliael had left the list at home, but either way, as Soliael began to search through storage holds he couldn't help but curse.

Teeth all clean and with a freshly washed face, Kira was ready to tackle the day.

The messy blonde ponytail bobbed up and down with every one of her jaunty steps. She hummed a little song to herself, walking out of their cabin and down the corridor. The air was a little bit cooler here, and she couldn't help but rub her arms.

"Gonna have to talk him about that," she murmured to herself. Not that it was bad, just that Devin had a tendency to enjoy the temperature to be just a little bit on the cooler side. Which was great for cuddling under the covers, but not so much once you stepped out of the bed.

The Freya was a large ship, so getting to the galley took a few minutes. Once there, Kira got to work. They had some fresh produce that they'll have to go through first, which is what she made a beeline for.

Some fresh eggs. Maybe some toast. Easy peasy!

[member="Kira Talith"]

Soliael never really was good at taking inventory. Lists, organizations, all of that weren't really his greatest skills. Oh he could look at things and make massive lists as much as the next person...but sorting it all? That wasn't really in him.

In the past he'd had servants to do this, but his wife would have frowned upon that.

Then again...maybe he could trick her into doing it. A sly smile crossed his lips, his eyes wandering away from a moment towards the door, then slowly he began to shake his head. Kira would be too sore still for that to work, even with the influences of the ring he wore. A moment his eyes lingered on the door, and then he quickly returned to cataloging the storage room that he was in. This room contained mostly what seemed to be spare parts for the ship.

There was a hyperdrive, some coils, half a dozen different boxes of engine parts.

All useful, all needed, but not what he was looking for at the moment.

The scent of fresh eggs being fried and a few rashers of Nuna bacon were quick to waft through the galley and down the corridor. It would be too far for Soliael to smell it -- well, maybe he would, what with his curious garhan genes and all. For now, the Lorrdian Jedi Master was having a blast humming a song to herself while finishing up.

Her husband thought correctly, Kira was still a bit sore from their little excursions. It didn't stop her from giving a little booty shimmy shake as she sang to herself. This was where Micah got his dancing in place tendencies.

Sliding her eggs onto a plate, she nabbed a few slices of freshly toasted bread. A little bit of butter. Some jam! Then those rashers of crispy bacon! YUM!

Pleased with herself, Kira shut off the stove, cleaning up behind her the next few minutes. It wouldn't be long before Soliael would hear the slow footsteps of his wife heading over his direction, one plate of food for herself on one hand and a cup of latte in the other.

[member="Kira Talith"]

The next room was pretty much the same, and the room after that contained equipment for setting up camps on cold weather planets as well as any other gear they would need for such worlds. The planet below was mostly temperate, so that wouldn't be a problem, but Soliael made a mental note to return to this room if they ever needed anything like that.

He was sure they'd find an ice planet or two.

"Okay..." He said to himself. "What do you have?"

The room that Kira would find him in was one filled to the brim with lockers. A few of them were bolted up against the wall, others were simple footlockers stacked against the wall, and still others were bolted to the floor. A few of the lockers had already been pulled open by the former false god, shown to contain weapons of all different sorts. It had caused a bit of surprise from Soliael at first, but then he had remembered that the people who'd loaded the ship hadn't known who it was for, just that it was for a long expedition.

Either way, he was sure they'd find a use.

"Hey!" Kira said with cheer to her husband, flashing him a wide smile. Her bounding step made her ponytail swing over her back, the woman walking over towards Soliael as he rummaged through the lockers.

"Well..." she slowed her step, coming to a stop beside a small corner table. There she sat down her plate of food and her latte. He gave her a small smile and she mirrored it back. While he may not get hungry after the snack on the wife bit, didn't mean he didn't appreciate knowing that Kira was getting her nutrition and strength up.

"Huh, you've been busy," she commented, bending down to take a sip of her drink. She had a tendency to enjoy sweet drinks, and her latte was no different.

Her eyes grew a little bit wide as she inspected some of the open lockers. Nabbing a rasher of bacon, she took her first bite. The crunch turned into a munch as she wandered over to Soliael. Her mouth twisted in slight disapproval. She wasn't too keen on blasters or slugthrowers to be honest. Then again, this was Kira. Her method of neutralizing opponents revolved around stuns and roots.. and the occasional tackle.

"That's quite a bit of weapons there." she added, a slight frown marring her brow.

"Find anything interesting?"
