We Meet Again

Ashe smirked and swiped his hand away from her throat. She bucked her hips, throwing him forward before grabbing onto his shirt. She pushed her leg up and dug her knee into his side, putting enough pressure on it to keep him off balance before throwing him to the side using her knee for leverage. She rolled with him so that she was on top, hooking her legs under his body so that he couldn't buck her off. She grabbed both sides of his collar with opposite hands and pulled slightly, putting pressure on the blood vessels in his neck, though it wasn't enough to cut off blood flow and knock him out. He grinned as she took him down, laying there and looking up at the woman. He really had no large amount of pride that needed to be saved, nor did he truly care who one this, so he simply went limp and waited for her to realize he was surrendering. If not, this could end very badly.

She smiled down at him. "An Echani giving up a chance to spar? Have you been away from home that long Yusan?" She teased as she continued to sit on him. She had no intention of moving just yet and besides... He did make a more comfortable seat than the bench she had been sitting on. "I know you didn't come here just to bother me and ask about my chosen path in life. What is it you want?" She questioned, shifting awkwardly on top of him. Her lack of social skills made her hope he wouldn't answer. She didn't know how to hold up a conversation. [member="Memorial"]

"Now now, if i told you what fun would it be, this conversation is one that may not continue like it should." He smiled a bit wider, his hand twitching for a moment, and soon after Ashe would feel as it she was just slammed in the chest by a linebacker. She may have been his equal in matters not concerning the force, but he was much much stronger in the force and with it.

Ashe yelped and fell backwards off of him. She lay on the ground gasping for breath after having the wind knocked out of her by the blast. She growled once she had caught her breath and glared at Yusan. "Hey that's not fair!" She pouted a bit. She hated being beaten and right now she had no training in the force, something she planned to change very soon. "Meanie! You could atleast try to be nice to me!" She was trying not to laugh. She didn't act childish very often, but for some reason she felt safe showing her childish side around Yusan. She smiled a little, unable to continue being mad at him. [member="Memorial"]

He stood slowly and brushed himself off, then all too slowly reached over with the cane that he scooped up and tapped her on the head. "So i have a question for you, if you do not want to be a weapon would being a shield be much better?" He had a better offer than just an metaphor, but the point would be made depending on her answer, and he was more than happy to do such.

"A shield? Explain." She replied as she got up off the ground and dusted herself off. She walked to the bench and retrieved her datapad, saving her drawing and putting the datapad in a bag slung over her shoulder. She turned to look at him with one eyebrow raised. She was curious. The idea of being a shield was an... interesting one. She wasn't stupid, she knew it meant being a guardian of sorts, what interested her was who she would be guarding. Surely he didn't mean himself? She bit her lip as she waited for a reply. [member="Memorial"]

"I am putting together a force that will be looking over the defense of the southern sectors of the republic, due to the danger that grips them and the need for their survival if the Republic is to survive itself." He started smiling all the bit wider with eyes as bright as a star. "You see Ashe, i am not asking you to be a warrior, but a protector against for those that need it."

"And... where will you be during all of this?" She asked curiously. Yusan was the closest thing to a friend she had ever had, which was kind of sad if you thought about it. She tilted her head to the side as she contemplated the possible answers. He was also someone who was from home, but wasn't set on dragging her sorry ass back to Eshan. She had run into a few other Echani who had recognized her since leaving her home, and most had been determined to convince or force her to return home. If she found a purpose outside of Eshan, they'd be less likely to try and make her return to her old life. She bit her lip, thinking it over and waiting for an answer. [member="Memorial"]

Yusan grinned and held his hands out to the side, fingers curling into closed hands now. "Well, you see miss Senari i will be fighting with the force that i mentioned, so that i can assure things are handled quite.... effectively." His grin grew wider as the obvious meaning behind that was that he would make sure the Sith could never harm the republic again.

"So you'll be with us then?" She thought about it for a few minutes before coming to a decision. "Fine. I'll do it on one condition... Teach me to use the Force." She replied, looking at him and trying to hide the hopeful look in her eyes. She could handle fighting for a little while longer if it meant protecting innocent people. Once this was over, she'd go find whatever it is she was looking for in her life. It would give her more time to decide what she wanted. [member="Memorial"]

"No." He answered simply and with a tone that suggested he would not argue about this. "I am sorry, but if i were the one to do such, you would be putting yourself in a great deal of danger. The use of the force that i drive from is not something that the Jedi take easily and it is quite possible the only reason i have not been placed in a cell is because i have used that power to only aid the Republic and have not tried to convert anyone to the dark side."

Ashe looked a little crestfallen at the answer. "Fine... I guess I'll do it anyway... You sure I can't change your mind?" She asked hopefully, though she had a feeling his answer would be no. She cast her gaze to the ground. She needed someone to train her, but she hadn't been able to find anyone. She didn't mind learning the dark side. She didn't really identify with either one, she saw herself as somewhere in the middle. She shrugged as she once again looked up. "But... You will be with me when I'm fighting right?" [member="Ashe Senari"]

"Come now, when have i ever been one to skip out on a fight in defense of my home. You know me better than that Ashe." He grinned and sighed a bit, the smile plastered on his face as he placed his saber at his side. "Now, how about we finish that little fight, why don't we, i promise not to use the force... that much." He grinned, knowing she would beat him without the force and really it was the only way he ever beat her.

"You're on queen!" She grinned at the taunt as she wasted no time tackling him. She ended up on top of him, fist flying towards his jaw. If she managed to hit him she would smile and knock his head to the side before rolling off of him and getting back on her feet. Once on her feet again she'd aimed a kick down at where ever her was located. Her movements were super fast giving little time for Yusan to react. Hopefully he moved atleast half as fast as she did, or else this would be a hard battle for him against the lightning fast Echani warrior he was facing. [member="Memorial"]

He smiled and didn't skimp on force use now, matching her speed effortlessly and stopping each strike before it had a chance to connect, until his own hand shot out twice as fast and right at her gut, a quick and strong jab taht was meant to topple her over and knock her down. If she still stopped him though he would fall back on his defensive stance and actions, letting her try and coup against someone who could bend the force to his will. If she won though he would not care, simply one more point for her in this long duel of points.

Ashe used the momentum of his strike to roll backwards. She growled as she charged at him again, aiming a feint punch to his left before swinging her foot around into his rib cage. If she hit him, Yusan would be knocked to the side. She shuffled backwards, to avoid any incoming strikes. She didn't much care who won this fight either. She had beaten Yusan almost every time they sparred in the past, it didn't matter to her if he got a few points. She would still be in the lead. She smirked as she waited for his next move. [member="Memorial"]

He smiled and instead of even carrying about the punch, he caught her leg with both hands and smiled wide before pulling her off her feet and going to pin her so that she had no chance of moving or flipping it so that he was on the bottom again. "Yield?" He didn't let his guard down for a second, more than ready to counter her attempts to flip him once more but if she did he would deliver a quick jab to her face, not enough to break anything, just enough to bruise and daze her.

Ashe smirked, deciding to fight dirty and without warning managed to get her leg between his and slam her knee straight into his crotch. "No but I think you'll be yielding now," she told him with a smirk as she pushed him off of her. She stood up and dusted herself off. She waited for Yusan to calm down, stepping backwards a bit to avoid any retaliation. She didn't want him striking out at her angrily and causing any severe damage. After all, that had been a dirty trick, but what ever it takes to win right? [member="Memorial"]

The pain was.... too much, far too much. His armor lessened it a bit, but not that greatly. For a few moments what happened didn't even rgister as he kind just laid there, but finally he did wake up from the pain and looked up as his legs weakly brought him up and he smiled. "M-maybe.... b-but no." He reached out with the force, and squeezed, trying to pull her arms to her body and pretty much immobilize her before lifting her and tossing her into a wall, using his pain to power it and there was definitely no shortage of that.
