Objective: Facing against [member="Varas Kyrel"]
Friends: SJO [member="Kaiza Pawaro"]
Enemies: [member="Varas Kyrel"]

As the battle raged on Rapax picked a old ruin to use as a suitable battle zone to utilize he chose to divide and conquer as it where as the forces landed near the base he decided to try and lure a little bit away to him and his new friend and handle them himself with some help hopefully this ll lessen the attacking forces a little, He reached out with his mental ability to the weakest minded of the group and gave them a trail as it where to what he tried to make them believe was a place of importance for the invasion. He waited for the results his trail was laid and he was waiting for his prey to arrive so that he can begin hunting once more, He checked if all his gear was intact and working and ready he picked this place because it was open with multiple areas for him to leap around in and to strike from the height and mobility to keep who ever he draws in hopefully they wont be too much of a handful but wont be a bore either.

Terribly slow, fully experiencing each second as if hoping for the moment to last all eternity, the teenager’s green gaze wordlessly addressed each and every being around, hoping to encourage the men and women who bravely stood against tyranny. For that matter, her visor remained open, yellow skinned face free for all to see – Kaiza wanted others to know that despite the tales of great Jedi accomplishments, there was a person beneath the shining suit of armour, not a mythical heroine of tales and legends. Just a simple young woman who wished for more compassion and love in the galaxy. It wasn’t hard to imagine most of the soldiers were just like that. Ordinary people willing to fight against terror, untouched by the Force, yet in several respects braver than many Jedi. The Padawan admired each and every one of them. A metallic click and her mask fell into place, turning the teenage Jedi into a faceless combatant like so many others. And without offering them another glance, Kaiza was off.

The Force called to her, its voice a whisper of great urgency. Or perhaps the young Mirialan simply felt it was necessary to go and meet the enemy on the battlefield, unable to sit and wait for Imps to come in force. Whatever the case, metal boots thudded through the installation, carrying her away, outside of the base, far from the temple. First signs of battle did not hesitate about exposing her to the realities of war again. A motionless body here and there, silently sleeping the eternal sleep on grass and moss as her form neared the jungle. Shots and screams were exchanged between combatants, yet that must have been further away, as she failed to spot any. Any living soldier, anyway – and while some of those carelessly scattered around like ragdolls could have been merely wounded, the Mirialan was no healer, unable to effectively sense them out. This freshly discovered sense of duty and determination refused the notion of stopping the steady pace, driving Kaiza deeper into the jungle.

Looking at the dead for long would have devastated her anyway. Only battle-hardened veterans could gaze at death's harvest without feeling a thing.

Like heroes that rode off into the dying purple lights of a sunset, Kaiza slowly moved to face her destiny; lightsaber in hand, mask covering her face, she disappeared from sight upon entering the jungle’s premises, not far away from an old ruin that could have been a sparring area long ago. Even though Kaiza was by no means an expert on Sense abilities and their usage, the Force still let her presence feel living signatures there. Living, breathing – and if all went well and Fate smiled upon the Jedi today, most would remain that way.

Objective: Push back the First Order boarders

"<Stand fast! Don't let these monsters get anywhere!>" the commander of the Xi Charrians in the hangar bay shouted, in clicks that most First Orderers would not understand.

While the horde of angry Xi Charrians began firing, the First Order stormtroopers would find themselves facing heavy fire, using machineguns, and engaging a duel of suppressive fire, delivering as accurate a 3-second burst of nine 12.7x108 slugs firing at 3km/s could be. Some dead Xi Charrian bodies stood behind the choke points that they decided to occupy in an attempt to hold the First Order stormtroopers at bay, while others were hit like forks stuck in a microwave as they struggled to regain their footing, some of which may have even succumbed before they could have regained their footing. Also, as the enemy set up the shields and their own heavy weapons, the Xi Charrian missile crews had not yet fired their weapons. A dozen MiniMag PTL missile launchers loaded with ion torpedoes opened fire in a volley that was aimed at several locations, such as the shield generator being deployed, prior to the thermal detonators exploding. Boom! The set of explosions caused a few more deaths among the Xi Charrians in this area of the shield gate all right, but it also caused the deck to collapse underneath the First Order stormtroopers, given the stress damage dealt by the asteroids that were flinged at the shield gates and their screening fleet by Carlyle Rausgeber earlier. As a result, fireballs from the blast forced the remaining Xi Charrians to regroup a few dozen meters back. The fury of the Xi Charrians also definitely extended to the First Order, but only time would tell whether or not it was circumstantial.

"<Regroup, and keep firing!>"

Objective: Destroy the Silver Jedi Fleet

Carlyle watched as the Bahamut and the Ossus shield gates began and orbital bombardment. Rausgeber observed the brazen hypocrisy with an arched eyebrow. More Jedi hypocrisy. How dare they chastise him for using asteroids against military targets, with some collateral damage, but then proceed to bombard their own planet from orbit. What Admiral King failed to realise, perhaps through gross incompetence, impotence, or a mixture of both, was that ion fire could be deadly.

In small dosages, from a pistol, perhaps not. It could be deadly for certain species, droids and those who had weaker constitutions. But it was largely a stun mechanism. However, this fire was from a battlecruiser, and given it harnessed many more times the power of a pistol, it could more or less kill anything caught in the blast. In fact, it would probably be apt to say, that given the minute First Order presence on Ossus, Admiral King only helped exacerbate the troubled citizens of Ossus. Those who were now crawling of the ruins of their cities. Their homes. Would now probably be met with an agonising death, as their nerves were burned out by ion cannon fire. Fire directed by their apparent 'defenders'. It was the sort of death, which made most men crawl. And the sort Carlyle had previously had a close experience with, close hand. Though that was a story for another day.

"What sort of madman are we dealing with here?" Carlyle asked, his jaw clenched in a mixture of confusion and anger. Gone was the merriment and revelry which had been seen by the impotent whinging of King. Now genuine fury, "He's just Base Delta-Zeroed his own system...." He paused, shocked. What was this? Had King gone mad? Was this some attempt to frame the First Order? "Please, get a camera feed on this." He commanded, "Record this, and sent it out over the holonet, mix it with the Admiral's diatribe from earlier, I think we have some propaganda gold here." he coldly said. It would prove what the Galaxy had known for an age now. That the current Jedi orders, from Silver Jedi to the supposed "New" Jedi Order, were as bad, if not more so than the Sith they regularly fought. That they were ineffective. Useless.

"Admiral, what of the incoming picket line, she's coming up on our starboard." The Scanning Technician reported. Carlyle's brow furrowed in thought as he calculated his next point of tactical manoeuvring. His eyes glazed over the stricken Bahamut, and the large asteroid which now floated away from it.

"Power to engines, and tractor beam gentlemen." He commanded, "Our shields will hold us against the picket line." He sardonically mused, "But, we will show the good Admiral, what happens when children decide to involve themselves in the games of men." He growled, “Time to put this animal down.” In Carlyle’s mind, the Silver Jedi were guilty for the obliteration of Ossus. First they’d built their military defences over civilian settlements. And now, they proceeded to bombard those devastated areas, killing any and all survivors caught beneath the space battle, desperately searching for their kin.

The order to move was received, and almost instantaneously, the Menace began to push ahead, until it was level with the now crushed portion of the Bahamut. With its powerful engines, the Vanquisher-Class destroyer pressed head, and locked with the massive asteroid. The asteroid had taken a severe beating, but was still impressive enough in size to still be longer than the Silver Jedi command vessel.

An invisible, snaked around the asteroid, and pulled it towards the Bahamut, guided by the deft hands of the Menace’s crew. . Slowly, and steadily, until it was in prime position over the vessel, with all of it's might, the Vanquisher slammed the Bahamut with the five kilometre long asteroid. All the while, it's turbolaser batteries began to engage the oncoming vessels of the Roosevelt picket line. Their attacks were insignificant against the interdictor and the other vessels in Rausgeber's fleet. Advanced point-defence weaponry and threat detection saw a majority of the spam from the Jedi abated by the lasers. Some of course managed to snake through, but torpedos were not known for their tracing algorithms, and a steady stream of lasers managed to largely neutralise the threat. The smaller charger-class corvettes now darted around the vessel, slamming missiles into its larger, unwieldly batteries at close range, hoping to cripple it’s offensive, and more importantly, defensive, capabilities.

While the communications interception between the command vessel and its subordinates may have proven critical in the defeat of a navy. It was not the case in the First Order. A strict, yet flexible chain of command allowed for the officers of the First Order to assume autonomous command. And these were not rookies from the academy. The First Order had sent a special breed, the veteran commanders of the Galactic Alliance-First Order war. These elite commanders saw to it that the Silver Jedi vessels hit next to nothing of value. The gravity well which pulsed away projectiles saw the deflection of hypervelocity rounds and mass drivers fired by Roosevelt line to Med-Beq's own forces, or ironically enough, to Ossus, where King was currently causing more carnage to the already traumatised citizens of Ossus. The Silver Jedi's issue, was that it had designed its fleet around the countering of grand scale war fleets, stacked with capital ships and command vessels, that usually came with an occupying force. Except this was no occupation force. This was designed to inflict unadulterated destruction onto the Silver Jedi. The Vigilant powered up her engines, and began to edge closer to the Med-Beq's fleet, with it, becoming increasingly powerful, as it began to fling asteroids at a closer range now.

The FIV Mustafar's Glory was the first vessel to be sabotaged by underhanded Jedi trickery, with one of its warheads detonating within the launch bay. While Carlyle independently went to destroy the Bahamut, the commanders of the First Order fleet, formed a plan. Rather than have their payloads sabotaged, the officers offloaded them, carefully, letting them drift to space, before being caught in the Vigilant's pulse, where they were thrown towards Med-Beq's fleet. In particular the interdictor. Although most of the missiles detonated before they could effectively damage the Silver Jedi interdictor, a few managed to slip through, and were triggered by asteroids, at almost point blank range. The heavy warheads from Mustafar’s Glory were particularly devastating, thanks to their larger payload.

“Sensors jammed!” shouted one of the Ensigns monitoring the Polaris’s systems. Still maintaining control of the CM/CMM console, Morro executed the sequence to counter the SJO's electronic attack. As the small fleet swung around and into wolf pack formation, Captain Banning walked over to inspect what the Chiss officer was doing.

“I didn’t order you to do that, Morro,” he said in a softer voice, oddly using only her first name as though stripping her from her title with his words alone.

She wanted to counter him, to argue, but rose up from her seat to mirror his stance. At least if he were going to berate her, the officer would not be sitting down, cowering like some kind of submissive animal. No smile upon his face, but he did continue:

“I notice the SJO’s are doing the same thing now and using their ECMs although frantically and with less effectiveness. An old cliche comes to mind. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Carry on.”

The corner of her lips curled upward in a satisfied smirk. She didn’t need praise or an apology. Captain Banning’s orders to continue would be enough to keep the Chiss busy with counter jamming.

“Team Asteroid, you know what to to now,” said Banning through the comms systems to all of the corvettes who rushed back again at the Admiral Med-Beq’s fleet in loose formation, at least five of the corvettes (Vengeance, Poignard, Vulture, Satellite and Cobra) specifically soared towards the SSV Immobilizer. The enemy vessel was in danger, with shields visibly down. The Corvettes focused all turbolasers and torpedos to target the SSV Immobilizer gravity wells, the rest of Morro’s fleet indiscriminately firing on Med-Beq’s massive group of war vessels. By this time, the Chiss officer had countered enough of the cyberattack to unleash the full destructive capability of the nimble Corvettes.

The faster she moved the quicker she would arrive, the Disciple of Ren piloted her small 'commandeered' pod through the atmosphere of Ossus. Piloted was a light term, in truth there wasn't much she could do but try to realign herself with her destination. Mežsrožu Ren grinned as the planet came into view, as the topographical transformed into reality. She laughed at the thought of the Jedi scrambling to save themselves. There would be no salvation today and as the small pod careened through the air smacking into whatever lay in its path the Tygaran teenager was not bothered by it at all. Instead, she waited as she crossed to the door of the pod storm clouds of fire and steel have rained upon the planet surely, yes. Still, there would be more, and as the pod came to a violent stop along the ground, the brunette braced herself for impact.

Somewhere near Ossus City, beyond the outskirts a smoldering crater had been formed. Within it a craft marking Silver Jedi bearings but it was not a Silver Jedi who emerged. Instead, a dark disciple threw open the pod door and crawled out. Mežsrožu checked herself over and moved her joints, the crackling sound of bones as they popped brought her relief. Violent urges came to her surface as she took in a deep breath and as she exhaled slowly the faceless mask concealed the brutal smile as the lightsaber came to life she studied the color and then closed her eyes. "Bless me Holy Father, bless your child with your full grace and might that I might deliver sweet vengeance in your name. That these pitiful Jedi would defile our crusade with their light. Bless me now, as I move to make them bleed for you, O' Holy One."

Mishel pleaded with her violent half to not do such a thing, reminding Mežsrožu that their mother had worked with the Jedi. Mežsrožu then reminded Mishel that their mothers were dark women, both biological and adoptive. The light was weak and it was through the grace of the dark that they would be saved. They were righteous darksiders and as such they would cleanse this world. "And so it begins." She made her movements, her feet carried her toward the City of Jedi; Ossus City. "On this day, Mishel, we will bring hellfire upon them all. Let them burn, dear one. Let them burn and remember our father's holy name."

The weight of Caehl’s gaze did not go unnoticed, Ara meeting his eyes through her own visor in a sort challenge, daring him to vocally question the order she gave. On one hand, anger that he would attempt to counterman her orders crept in, the harsh emotion echoed in the dark aura surrounding the Knight. On the other, she hoped he would do just that, one corner of her lips pulling up in a smile as she waited, past conversations about the nature of their order brought to light in this moment. Ara had found herself pushing him time and again towards being more autonomous even within the Order, encouraging him to question without blind devotion, to become a person outside of “Caehl Ren”. This was an opportune moment for him to show the slight bit of spark she knew was buried in the recesses of his mind, a spark she had been privy to in those private moments they’d spent training or conversing.

And yet the moment passed, her directions carried out without opposition, anger and interest shifting to disappointment and resignation. Her gaze returned to their viewport and the glorious sight of the destruction of the asteroid heralding their arrival, the smaller chunks now raining down to the ground below without the massive damage it would have wrought on the unwary had they not intervened. The bloodlust within her boiled and snapped, ragging against the urge to destroy and maim, her simple act of generosity to the people of Ossus an affront to her own violent nature. Yet her lessons in the art of politics and leadership had taught her that sometimes mercy was to the greater benefit of her overall goals. It was a lesson hard taught and harder put into practice.

Gritting her teeth in a hidden snarl, she stood as the craft cruised to a stop, the jostling from the landing giving her a slight pause as she followed Caehl and the two Omega deeper into the heart of the shuttle.

The lush jungle of Ossus spread out around them, Delengtha having successfully settled their corvette in the foliage and cover of the wilderness encasing the temple that was to be their target. Her boots settled onto the soft ground, dirt and twigs snapping underfoot, eyes cast in a wide arc as she reached out with the Force, tendrils of power searching for disturbances in their vicinity. Closing her eyes behind the bright lights of the HUD display built in to her mask, instead, she turned to the map in her mind, painted by the bright lights and flashes of the Force echoed in the living organisms surrounding.

As expected, there was little to impede their passage, the forest exactly as one would hope to find, rife with life and fauna, devoid of flashes of stronger auras heralding the presence of their enemies. It was almost too easy. The darkness within tugged at her gut, pulling her towards the presence of the light it sought to snuff out, encompass, and eclipse, Ara’s stern expression relaxing with the thrill of a mission finally to be completed.

”The path is clear.”

It was almost a shame to break the silence, the mechanical vocalizer blending in with the rest of engines from their ship. Opening her eyes to meet Brennan’s gaze once again, she nodded off to the side, a dark stretch of jungle stretching out before them.

”Shall we?”

Moving to blend into the darkness of the shadows, gloved hands settled her hood to cover the dome of her helmet as she moved, the edges of her cloak wiping behind her in the winds stirred up by their corvette. Hands still clutching the fabric, she paused, turned back to glance at her friend and brother in arms, a smirk hidden behind the durasteel.

”And do try to avoid killing me this time.”

The echo of mechanically altered laughter followed her figure into the tree line.

Maintaining the offensive, Thurion followed through the successful shield bash with a relentless assault. Braxus Zambrano was an imposing figure, well within the same height and size as himself, and his skill at inflicting pain nothing short of masterful. Having fought both Kaine and his protégé on several occasions, he knew their skill-at-arms were matched; most likely the whole battle would be over before one of them beats the other at swordsmanship. Fortunately, Thurion would only need to hold him off until their forces could push back the First Order and forcing a retreat. Braxus would have to fall back alongside them or risk capture, or worse. It would come down to sheer endurance, of which the Valkyri have in nigh-infinite supply.

The sudden chanting in High Sith as Braxus distanced himself from him had all his senses on high alert, having noted his opponent's knowledge of dark magic during prior encounters. Thurion did not speak the Sith language, nor did he understand the meaning of the words. He'd never undergone any sort of academic studies, and he only learned how to read after being taken in by the Jedi. He still to this day had trouble reading, often asking that [member="Coci Heavenshield"] or someone close by read aloud for him instead. Safe to say, he had no idea just what sort of incantation the Sith Lord was summoning.

A ball of dark energy appeared out of thin air, which made Thurion pause in his assault and step back a bit. By the time the ball lashed out towards him, he'd managed to grab hold of a piece of debris from Prazutis’ shuttle with the use of the Force and summoned it to him right on time to become ensnared by the net instead of himself, falling to the ground immobilized.

It was not the only piece of sorcery the Sith Lord unleashed, however, for following the dark side web was a black void appearing between the two warriors from which several unholy tentacles came slithering forth, aimed at him. Rather than try and defend against them, Thurion took the foolhardy route of leaping across to the other side where his opponent awaited.

Readying himself, he called on the Force to send him charging through it all, shield at the ready in hopes that it would protect against the brunt of the tentacles reaching for him. While airborne his sword slashed underneath him at the source of the black void, slicing it in twain to cause most tentacles to wither and die. One of them survived, however, and managed to latch itself around his left leg.

Thurion groaned in pain as it wrapped itself tighter around his leg, only to be chopped off with another well-placed blow from Snowfall. The damage had been done, however, with each left step causing terrible pain even with the tentacle removed. Still, he challenged the Zambrano with sword held out towards him in spite of his limping.

“There is only one word in the Sith tongue that holds any sort of meaning to me, Braxus,” he spoke through gritted teeth while taking the moment to catch his breath. It was then that he, rather than attacking Prazutis a second time, shoved Snowfall deep into the roof of the structure they’d made into their arena, dropping to one knee as he did. Looking up at the Sith Lord, Thurion’s eyes burned blue with the light side of the Force.

Asha – Victory!” With a mighty roar, the Golden Lion twisted his sword where it sat embedded in the ground with such strength that the surrounding area began to tremble, then crumble, before starting to collapse in on itself. Thurion did nothing to seek shelter or find safer footing, instead completely expecting them both to fall. And it was a long way down.

Snap!

A branch was crushed under the sole of her boot, her eyes fluttered before her head snapped into position. She stopped dead in her tracks, motioning for what remained of their group to stop. A beat. A few seconds passed, intensity was etched upon the group just as Romi had tuned into the uneasiness now creeping up her spine. Her cerulean eyes shot up, looking pass the group as far as they would be able to go while she retreated into a state of analyzation.

"You hear that?" she mentioned, slowly raising her finger into the air. "There's nothing..." their surroundings had fallen still, and her senses had caught on to something, alerting the entirety of her body in full. Taking a couple of few steps closer, her stride was wide enough that she could maneuver between the group and find herself in front soon; there wasn't that many of them left.

Her eyes twitched, and just as she began to digest what her senses had been hinting to her, the hum of what seemed to be an engine was revealed to her. As she turned her head she felt the small patter of air currents colliding with her skin. Her nostrils would soon flare just as she stood back upright. She looked to the rangers standing behind her.

With a subtle glance they'd communicate; they came across what could possibly be the enemy. She nodded, as the group understood they would probably have the element of surprise.

(Kind of closing the gap here)

As she got closer, she could definitely feel a darker presence. She knew their opposition would include force-sensitives, and none that she would be able to underestimate. Crouching in the shadows, they'd be engulfed in the shroud the Jungle provided. Like predators they crept slowly until their positions would allow them to shift things in their favor.

As adversity was a constant in war, Romi held onto other possibilities that this could be deadly for either group.

Just then she held her breath, the ranger beside her held his hand out to halt the advancement of the group. From this position she could see glimpses of both First Order operatives more so on the female. She leaned in closer, peeking through the openings the brush could provide her.

Her thigh tensed she prepared to jump to her feet, and as the anxiousness grew she slide her hilt from her belt and held it comfortably in her hand.

"Now!"

And the 5 rangers rose to their feet to unleash a sporadic volley of blaster fire upon the couple, nothing that someone of their skill level wouldn't be able to phase out. Romi stood to her feet, awakening the scarlet blade and stepping into the fray.

Heartbeat thrumming in her ears, Varas walked down the ramp of the FO transport ship, following her father and the female Sith until they reached a rocky area that opened into a circular space. It could have been temple ruins or perhaps a picturesque place where the Silver Jedi just came to meditate, but the sandy ground felt imbued with years of battles which came before them.

Suddenly the Disciple peered around and could no longer see Kyrel or Jair. The air was still and quiet and she wondered if she’d suddenly gotten lost, having wandered too far off the path that lead them there. Aside from Kamino, Mustafar and Dossun, Varas had never been to any other planet in her short clone life. She felt strangely like a tourist and slightly giddy that she was alone and without her normal parental chaperone.

A tickle in her psyche caused her head to turn towards the horizon and up to the sun, where she shielded her eyes with an arm sheathed in armor. The other hand caressed the saber of her father which practically hummed to be used. Someone was around… or something.

Varas whistled a simple tune that Kamonians had taught her when she was just learning how to learn to use her limbs, mostly when she cried out that she felt strange and sick and all of those other uncomfortable and frightening sensations she felt right out of the cloning chamber.

“Come out, come out, where-ever you are,” the blonde force user trilled in a sing-song voice with words she'd heard in a holomovie while acclimating to the galaxy on Kamino.

It had only been a minute or two of smooth flying before the incoming fire from the ground once more sent the landing craft into a violent flight path, diving one way then sliding the next. The Colonel remained unfazed. Now was their moment - their final send of before their feet carried them onto the field of battle and into destiny's crosshairs. The pilots had gone uncharacteristically silent, their figures hunched at the controls as they brought the ship into a steep dive. Rolf would later admit that he had seen his life flash before his eyes in that moment, the steep tilt of the deck excessive even for the drop-ship veteran. They were in the thick of it now.

With a violent screech filling the cabin as a solid round careened off the exterior of the vessel, Rolf felt the dropship flare as they descended into the Mountain Pass after the Supreme Commander.

:: Brace for impact. I say again - brace for impact. ::

The warning didn't go unheeded. With little more than a chirp over the trooper's comms they moved in unison, each shifting their bodies and gripping the combat netting attached to the interior of the vessel. If they were to die today, they would do so outside of the shuttle, not because they'd forgotten their training. Each trooper waited the inevitable crash, nerves a cold as ice.

Only several seconds later came the impact. A collective sigh of relief was exhaled amongst the soldiers as the sound of engines spooling down filled the troop bay. The Colonel laughed, giddy with the scent of combat just beyond the troop bay door. He glanced backwards once more before the indicator light inside turned to a neon green color, an audible alarm sounding in each stormtrooper's helmet. Each soldier was where they were supposed to be, the two flanking him armed with FWMB-10 Repeating Blasters to clear the immediate landing zone. As he surged forward they would deploy their guns, strafing anything and everything within the deployment area - it was one hell of a way to make an entrance, and when casualties weren't a concern... It was a good day for the gods of war.

As the veteran trooper began to turn back towards the front, he heard the hydraulic clunk as the ramp began to descend - they would soon be on the ground. That's when what he'd just seen clicked. *That's not one of mine.*

Towards the rear of the shuttle, in the very rear in fact, Rolf had noticed an additional trooper. 20 had managed to cram into the shuttle with him but even one more had somehow managed to get aboard. An error? Intentionally? He would find out later, now there was a more pressing matter at hand.

The ramp had partially descended, a crack of light penetrating the shuttle's dimly lit bay - but there it had stopped. A mechanical grinding noise shook the entire hull of the vessel. *Fething hells.* thought the Colonel. Outside he could hear blaster fire bouncing off the vessel's limited deflector shields. They needed to get out, and quick. They were little more than sitting ducks, locked inside their durasteel coffins if they stayed put.

"Help me with this - NOW!"

How the pilots of the landing craft managed to keep their cool quite as well as they did he'd never know. They always sounded so cool on the comm, as if they were on some sunny beach on Halm, sipping mimosas instead of a combat zone taking enemy fire like a magnet. He envied them. With a grunt, he threw his body against the partially open ramp. Several of the troopers behind him moved, their own bodies joining his as they rallied against the stuck ramp - they all knew what the likely consequences would be should they fail. Another grunt as Rolf could feel his shoulder come into contact with the ramp once more.

*CRNNNNNGGG*

With a violent crunch, the ramp began moving again. Blaster bolts could be seen screaming past as the gap widened. In a final protest the mechanism groaned and shook once more before the ramp completed opening. While it had been sluggish in its execution of duty, the same could not be said about the troopers within. With the movement of one they pushed forth, none other than their commander, Rolf Amsel at the lead. It was a personal point of pride that he took, being the first one out of the landing craft - and the last one on any sort of evac. Leaders did just that, led from the front. The most senior of the troopers would exit first, their most junior being the last off the lander. Likewise their most junior would be the first to board in the event of an evacuation. Little did Rolf know that their most junior member was in fact not even a member of his troop.

As the two stormtroopers laid down covering fire the rest of his squad disembarked, rapidly diving for any cover they might find - thick trunks, rocks, even simple outcroppings jutting from the floor of the mountain pass. Rolf was no exception, though as he took refuge behind a large outcropping he noticed again the extra trooper who'd managed to wedge in the rear. Though his features were hidden by the helmet he wore his expression of bewilderment was easily discerned via his body language. Blaster bolts ripping about, the trooper was literally standing there in the open. A second later they were obviously trying to fire their weapon, aiming at spots where the incoming fire was coming from but no fire was returned to the enemy. *By the gods...*

Pushing himself up from where he'd shouldered up against the rock he reach out with a firm fist, grabbing the trooper by the arm and forcefully throwing them into cover where he had been only moments before.

"Get down - Are you trying to get yourself killed?!"

Nestling up beside the trooper in cover, Rolf grimaced inwardly. His serial had been FN-9210 and while his men might know his name was Rolf Amsel, the only identifying information on the wayward trooper's display would be his rank and designation.

"What legion are you with, and more importantly, how did you end up on my lander?"

Breaking the conversation just long enough to peek around the corner of the outcropping, Rolf fired several times towards an enemy position farther up the mountain, a cloud of dust and crumbling rock bursting from where his shots landed. Ducking back into cover, he turned to the nameless trooper and awaited a response.

Finally, solid earth was before them. The soil of which would later become black and decrepit with the First Order's victory over the Silver Jedi Order, forests burned and temples sundered, the image of their objective seen already within the sight of his mind, bodies lay strewn before them as evidence of the Supreme Leaders dominion over all sentient kind. Having stepped off of the loading ramp and taken his place beside [member="Ara Zambrano"], he looked ahead of them into the green mirth of Forest, energy coursing through out his augmented tissue, adrenaline taking home for the fury of battle that he wished to unleash, craving so at this point where the fleet before them had already entered into the fray and had their fun. Now was the time of the Knights of Ren to come into play and to bring down the hand of Sieger Ren, to be the example of his strength that others would learn to kneel before.
"Were it my intention to have you killed, I would have aimed higher" Caehl Ren responded coldly, his lust for bloodshed rising above that of the chain of hierarchy and treating his partner as an individual rather than a member of the secretive Order they claimed home to; "Your power has returned to you, you need not my hand to hold on to, my Queen" the black of his visor turned to look upon the woman beside him, a slight tilt of his head to suggest that there was a sense of amusement behind his skeptical response, perhaps even a smirk beneath his mask for all that she could presume.
Where the two of them were left with the moment to humor one another however, Omega Support would move out to secure their LZ (Landing Zone). Delengtha Ren the last to leave the Corvette once having ensured security protocols were put into effect should any other seek to impose upon their vessel in their absence. Arkaos and Nocturnus Ren reaching out in the Force to probe the area of life despite Ara's claim of the scene being free of rivalry. It was the Snap-Hiss of Arkaos lightsaber, that crimson flare of heat and energy that turned Caehl's attention towards the younger Disciple, taking a step infront of Ara regardless of his previous jest and bite at her pride suggesting the act unnecessary, his own lightsaber being pulled from his belt yet to be activated as he showered the tree line and the underbelly of the woodlands carefully.
Delengtha and Nocturnus had caught on, their lightsabers screaming out into the open as a hail of blaster fire soon paraded the area and forcing Caehl to raise his guard adopting the form of Soresu taught to him by the Jedi before the First Order. His parries were swift and calculated, each of the bolts that came in his and Ara's direction causing his blade to bounce against the weight of the impact of each volley, deflecting several shots skyward before stepping forward and turning his lightsaber down with a twist of both wrists and catching the last shot, turning it back on the direction of the shooters still covered by the tree's.
Taking to the offensive, the three Disciples moved to stand in ahead of the pair of Knights protecting their superiors and allowing Caehl a moment's ease, his left hand leaving the hilt of his lightsaber and reaching for one of his signature Incendiary Grenades that had been his rebirth upon Bespin within the Hilikan Facility. Pressing his thumb down upon the activation switch and pressing it forward, the small metallic orb wound up in a shrill chime soon to be released as Caehl tossed it ahead towards the tree's and bush line surrounding the clearly they stood within. This he hoped would force their attackers out in the open with the sudden charge and igniting of flames, a cloud of fire to erupt from the grenade and shower the area of impact in tongues of heat and liquid fire.

"Enemy formation, bearing three zero degrees starboard. Ten degrees above prow."
Commander Maxim's eyes narrowed, his attention drawn to the rapidly appearing signatures positioning themselves near the gate he'd broken off towards. A few rapid inputs brought up the initial scans, the vessels unknown to the Commander. They weren't standard Alliance or Silver Jedi Order vessels - that was certain. Inputting yet more commands into the console, Gerhard initiated additional scans as they closed the distance.

"Range?"
"Just outside of effective range sir."
A frown appeared across Maxim's features. The enemy was yet out of range. He needed to buy them time, time to get their weapons in range. Given the current situation, that wasn't going to be easy, no - this required the direct approach.

"Get me a channel and continue on our present course. Adjust pitch, ten degrees down bubble."
"Channel established sir, you're live."
It was in that moment that Gerhard knew exactly what his course of action would be. There was a time when he would have hesitated, pondered what the correct action here was but through experience and training, he'd broken himself of those tendencies. Now was the time for action, to tarry any longer would be to lose the advantage.

Following the blast from the flash-bang grenade, Emilia and the two other FOSB agents hurled themselves up the stairs, followed by [member="Nemesis Nemonus"]. The traitorous guard had opened the doors, so it was only a matter of sprinting up the two flights of stairs and taking control of the tower.

Emilia reached the top behind the other two agents, panting and short on breach. They wasted no time, bursting through the door into the room, where the bewildered controllers were still yelling and thrashing, robbed of their senses by the grenade. The two agents stepped forward, and Emilia turned away gritting her teeth. The shots rang out, short and sharp. The controllers were killed instantly, and mercilessly. Kulthis Spaceport was theirs.

As the agents moved the bodies, Emilia approached the control tower's centre console, and sat down. She put on the headset, and positioned the microphone a few centimetres from her lips and pulled out her usual notepad, opening to the page she'd written that morning. She cleared her throat, and began speaking in an authoritative tone.

"Attention all ships in orbit of Kulthis. Do not attempt to land. Your craft will be fired upon by First Order forces. Cooperate with First Order Spacecraft and no harm will come to you."

Emilia sat back in the chair. Hopefully, that message would cause the civilian ships to be more cooperative with their forces, and it would make any Silver Jedi Order ships think twice about attempting to assist Kulthis' weak security forces once the First Order's landing parties arrived.

Standing up and pulling out her own communicator, Emilia dialed a new frequency. This one had only one purpose. The signal rushed through the air, up to the top of the tower, where it was boosted. It then moved at the speed of light, back to Landing Pad 3, and into another communicator in the cargo bay of the Lady Luck, from which a mess of wires extended to a number of large crates, each stuffed to the brim with Detonite. The communicator buzzed, and the electrical energy flowed through each of the wires, into four separate detonators, each activating within a microsecond of the other.

The explosion rocked the Spaceport, the spacecraft parked in the bays only adding to the massive fireball. Emilia was shoved to her knees as Bays 2, 3 and 4 were obliterated, and 1, and 5 sustained heavy damage. In the central hub, sections of the roof caved in along with a number of load bearing walls. The power flickered for a moment, then went off. Great clouds of dust rolled from the site of the explosion, reducing the visibility to nearly zero.

Among the numerous landing shuttles heading towards the surface or to different orbital stations there was a fast moving gunship with one sole goal in mind. And you guessed it wrong. There's going to be no dog fighting in this story, no epic piloting skills that despite being absolutely impossible to possess are frankly boring. There's also no battle of wits between two opposing naval officers because it's even more boring.

:: Romeo, please confirm status. ::

Nor is this a story that explores Admiral Carlyle Rausgeber's sick fantasies.

:: Romeo, please confirm status. ::

This is a story about a guy who somehow's a special agent within one of the most capable intelligence bureus in the galaxy and a hot lady that's also a special agent. No surprise, right?

:: Romeo, please confirm status. ::

Like there's always a hot lady that's a super agent in these stories.

:: Romeo, please confirm status. ::

That nose piercing might be a bit too much but y'know, it's aight.

:: Romeo, please confirm your damn status, would ya? :: The supervisor of this operation's voice barked through his ear attached comlink and interrupted Jude from his observations on the aesthetics of his partner in crime today and what was going to be unfolded in the next couple of hours. Spare him the abuse, the blonde agent's not a fan of tiny boarding pads that are to be slingshot at a heavily guarded station in the middle of an intense space battle. He has to keep his mind away from that, somehow.

:: Romeo to Shakespeare, status is green. ::

:: Finally. Shakespeare to Juliet, confirm status. :: Supervisor's voice would come through Val's comlink set.

The gunship soared with envious haste through space as it closed on the spot when the boarding pod the two agents were in would be fired at a prior designated airlock of the shield gate.

As the last word rolled off her tongue the edge of her lips turned upward into a smirk. What was it with the male species anyway? Anything with a less than rectangular curve to it and they all turned into.. Well, nothing really. The fit was going to be comfortable to say in the least. The kids had truly only been designed for one occupant but given the mission's objective they were going to need all the help they could get. Either that OR someone in command really had it out for Val. Could have been either according to her best guess. It was pointless in protesting now.

As the ops pair prepared for launch, Val gave Jude a side eye. He wasn't so bad himself, maybe a bit on the scruffy side, but weren't just about all of them? She shook her head lightly. Men. Hmpf.

"Well, I guess we'd better get comfortable then. We're coming up on our stop."

Reaching down to her harness, she double checked the gear attached, including the blaster pistol at her hip. If everything went according to plan, she wouldn't even have to use it, but Agent Kordova knew all too well nothing ever went exactly according to plan. Stepping into the small pod, she motioned for Jude to follow.

"Better get in here - We don't have all day."

Something about the slack jawed expression he was giving her told her she was going to have to get his attention, he hadn't heard a word. With a sharp slap of her hip (For that seemed to be where his eyes had wandered) Val cleared her throat.

"Excuse me - Romeo, we've got places to be, and staring isn't going to get us anywhere." She paused before continuing. "And don't get any funny ideas." She narrowed her eyes playfully at her fellow agent.

Soon they would be on their way, just two peas in a pod.

Darren climbed into his AB-RT, swinging into the cockpit of the vehicles and beginning to bark orders to the two-man crew. "Right lads, start her up. We're going for that shutt-" he was interrupted by a cry for help on his comm.

"This is Broadsword One! The enemy have ambushed the Mountain Pass, they're coming from above, dozens of them!"

"Chit. New plan. Follow Masters Marek and Organa, listen to their orders. I'm going to help Broadsword one. Go, now."

Darren climbed out of the AB-RT, sighing as he did so. I was about to blow something up, Visna! Ugh... The Zabrak talked into his comm as he ran out into the open oncemore. He spoke into his comm-link "Copy that, Broadsword One. This is Lieutenant-Commander Torran. I'll gather two battalions and provide aid - hold them off until we can reach you. Oh and Visna - do NOT let Setzi die, or I'll have your ass. Torran out."

The man motioned for his men to gather. It pleased him how many men were actually there. The enemy would not win - he was sure of it. They had the numbers and the high ground. Surely the enemy wouldn't breach their defences? No, it was impossible - at least that was what Darren thought at the time.

300 soldiers were rallied - around about. "Alright. We are going out to aid Broadsword One - we can't let the enemy get past the Mountain pass. We need to move quickly - but we aren't taking vehicles. Now, everyone on me. Move out!"

A field of white moved out of Aegis, with the occasional splash of colour. It was common to see the rangers' armour painted. Each set was unique to that individual - it allowed the men to feel special. Occasionally - they would paint a certain symbol on their armour to signify their victories - and sometimes to honour those that they lost. It was an integral part in the rangers traditions. It made them different to every other army out there. Each man was their own - they weren't pawns - they all cared for each other. Each life mattered.

They walked for a while, before they came close enough to hear the conflict beyond the pass. Darren rallied his men once again, this time to discuss a plan. "Alright. We have two battalions here - Broadsword Two and Broadsword Three. Broadsword two, you will go an aid Broadsword One inside the pass. You will tell Visna our plan and help him hold his ground. You will be under his command until you rejoin with Broadsword Three."

"Broadsword Three, you're with me. We're going around -" He was interrupted by the large bolt of Ion energy that rained down on the enemy troops. "Chit... Broadsword Two move in now! I mean now! Broadsword One's weapons may be rendered useless - they'll need your help. Broadsword Three just follow me, I'll talk as we move - we need to take advantage of this ASAP."

The Zabrak departed from the rock on which he stood, motioning for his men to follow him. The group split in half. 150 men went into the pass, 150 went with the Lieutenant-Commander himself. Darren led his group up the mountain, here they would flank the enemy. But not just yet. It would all happen in due time...

The enemy did not seem to care for all the bravery his rangers would put into their art of war, nor about the ion attack, it seemed like taking the pass was important to them, so important they wouldn't back out... But why? Wouldn't taking out the ion canon, or finding a way to bring on the ground all forces take priority? Just what was the plan? Kal could not understand it, he felt there was something to it, he felt something escaped him but could not figure out what, splitting their forces was certainly not all there was to it. As he thoughtfully watched over the battle, a transmission came "Reporting from outside the Pass, sir, reinforcements are here!"

With a hint of surprise, the padawan grabbed the communicator, this must've been one of the rangers he ordered to lay in ambush outside the Pass, does this mean Darren made it? This was getting better and better. "Copy that, return to me at once."

"Are we not to ambush the enemy troops should they leave the Pass?"

"That was when we were alone against the tide, if we have reinforcements, they are not leaving the Pass."

It didn't take long for the soldiers outside to arrive adding to the barrage of fire the tanks and Kal's rangers have created, with renewed forces, the chaos of battle has intensified, as it was supposed to be, they would've never managed to hold for so long without the orbital strike, that was obvious, but even so, Kal was somehow proud of how things turned out.

One of the reinforcing rangers came up to him, before doing anything else "Lieutenant-Commander Torran put us under your command, he ordered we hold the pass until he and Broadsword Three flanks the enemy!" the man said talking fast, Kal nodded a few times before turning to face the enemy again, If Darren needed him to hold, he'd hold... But Setzi is not here. Darren told him to take care of her, she did not leave for the Pass with him and she did not arrive until now... With all that was going on, only now it comes to him, where was she?

"Come in, Lieutenant-Commander, this is Broadsword One, I never saw Setzi here before of after the enemy attacked, If she ever made it to the Pass she never made it to me." That might have sounded a bit bad, he felt something would be off regarding this situation, but it doesn't mean Setzi was dead or harmed, she just wasn't with him, there were good chances something unpredictable happened and she needed to help somewhere else, surely it's a possibility... Yet optimism was never Kal's strength.

He still had his concerns.

But the Thirriken recognized that this wasn't his operation and that at the end of the day Derith had end say on this. It was probably for the best, because Tai had no idea what the young Ren was planning. For all that the Sith Lord knew there was an excellent plan in motion here that would minimize the costs and maximize the amount of profit to be squeezed out of this venture. If it didn't? That was fine too, he was here as a representative of the Sith Empire.

To show that the Emperor was committed to this alliance.

The Ren leaped into a run, followed closely by the Major and the Thirriken breathed in softly, then let the air out. A spike in the Force and suddenly he pushed himself off.

Cursing himself at their incompetence he pushed forward, as he looked around continuing on his path looking around him and seeing the ruins of what were Jedi structures long ago, it made him sick and he swore he could hear the voice of his Mother speaking to him echoing in his mind as he stopped slowly in front of a few pillars. "Please.... Thomas turn away from this path... I beg you, my son, please." For a moment Kyrel stopped and looked around wondering where the voice was coming from before looking around, his tone filled with a slight hint of annoyance as well as anger. "All that is here is ghosts and ruins... This is all there is." He said in not only a way that reflected his surroundings but as to himself knowing that there was no going back for him. The man that was Thomas was gone and only Kyrel remained, and he had done far too much to earn redemption. This was all he had known and will be till his dying day.
His dark presence amplified the more that he had walked down the path towards the Enclave, his thoughts filled with rage as he desired to face an opponent worthy of his time and give him a fight that he had wanted, and the more he got closer the more he could sense that someone powerful was approaching the enclave, did they sense him? Did they know he was coming? He didn't have the slightest clue, but the thought made him grin underneath his mask. He moved with haste as he didn't have very much time, and not only that he could feel someone following him just waiting for the right moment to strike.
When he did finally reach the Enclave, he had traveled very carefully as he wished to reach his objective without encountering the Jedi, as much as he liked to encounter them, the mission was what had mattered to him, and so he would see it through, the dark halls quiet as if no one was around he became very wary but slowly brushed it off as he was not afraid of what lied ahead, but as he turned towards the tunnels the presence that he had sensed had slowly approached him from behind, the dark figure activated his saber, the crimson blade igniting with a snap-hiss as he spoke turning around slowly. "I wondered when you would find me If you think you can stop me fool you are more than welcome to try." He said as he looked to his opponent and waited.. Perhaps this mission was going to be even more difficult than he originally thought.
