Weekend Treasure Hunt 4: Cannibal Stormtrooper Death Star

Sasha Santhe

Sasha stared at the doorway and frowned. Something was wrong, very wrong. "It should be here." She reached out with her senses and felt the wiring and very being of the machine that was the station. Intuition had never failed her, and intuition had led her here, and yet there was no quarters. She didn't admit defeat and instead walked up the hallway exuding confidence as she always did. "Ah," she said finally reaching a cavernous room in the officers barracks. All the quarters of course were large but this was the largest. "I believe we are here." She walked in with confidence letting [member="Jared Ovmar"] follow her. The cabin wasn't a single room like those of the other officers. There was an office with a luxuriously appointed sleeping quarter next door and a small private kitchen. This officer enjoyed his comforts.

Sasha walked into the bedroom and saw the body on the bed, its bones gnawed. She imagined him as a plump man, which no doubt did little to dissuade those broken troopers. Sasha cringed. Mutiny most foul.

She retreated back to the main room and ushered Jared into the cabin as several troopers started their way up the hall. Sasha frowned as she sensed them and gently nudged the the door shut behind them. She reached out with the force and befuddled the controls to the door, there was no need to be interrupted by the insane troopers. "Maybe we can find a log, figure out what happened here."

And then Sasha began to search around the room. Datapads were strewn around the room. Most required code cylinders. She picks up those that didn't first and began reading. It was all personal. Valuable perhaps to the mans family if he had any, but not her. With the force she nudged at the code of the devices and looked at them with a frown. "My ships..." she said. They were schematics of the vessels she once created for the Sith Empire. She frowned, "Can't they keep anything under lock and key..." she stated again. And then another thought slipped into her mind, "I am going to sue someone!" In fact she was already suing someone. "This is insane!" She continued her rummaging about the room...

En route to Main Engineering

The Washburn had docked and as she stepped out Bellalika had a look on her face. MOre passive disgust while the sensors worked to identify the scents in the air. Her eyes flicking back and forth, low light vision activating and she started working to map her path in her head while taking off. She had ascended but still have to keep up appearences to being a jedi, she just explained she wore a taozin amulet to hide from the force and her own skills with mentalist concealment... Something she had been training in her former less evolved life. The saber on her hip clinked while the Archangel ran down the hall looking for engineering or fire control.

Enroute to Camp

Silence had once more descended upon the group, as they walked through the large passages. The Death Star was incredibly large, no one knew how long it would take to reach their destination. Their foot steps would be the only thing heard as they continued on their way, casting glances to the walls in order to follow the bloody arrows. The boy's brown robe would billow in his movement as he walked, his mind being rather active as well. What if this was a trap? The arrows could be leading to some sort of area where the storm troopers held the advantage. Shaking his head from side to side, Tugoro would clear his mind of the uneasiness that had clouded it.

The two soldiers that had remained stationed at the hangar would duck behind cover, watching as [member='Bellalika'] arrived in her own ship. The hangar was immensely huge, even though it was getting crowded many other crafts could surely fit. The Republic troopers would remain silent and hidden as the female Knight made her way out of the hangar. Activating the communications device within their helmets, the two would relay the Knight's arrival to Tugoro, who simply stated, "Copy that. Over and out." A lot of people were arriving, the young Padawan would have to be rather cautious as he ventured deeper into the space station.

Inside the cabinet

As Sasha locked down the door behind us, making sure nobody could get in without our express desire, I started looking around the room. Searching for anything of value, there were some datacards which I pocketed and a couple of lightsaber crystals which I took with me as well, no reason to let just sit here. Sometimes you gotta take what you can get, left the credit chips though. I wasn’t a hobo, credits was the last thing on my mind right about now.

My eyes scanned the outlayers of the room, and eventually settled down on a painting which… didn’t seem to fit with the rest of the thing. It was just angled at the wrong spot, revealing the corner of a.. something. I closed the distance and removed the painting in its entirety, revealing a hidden compartment. Wasn’t locked or anything, as I opened it… it seemed to be empty. Looters must have taken it all, I slammed the wall next to it with my palm, just a bit frustrated.

Which was a good thing, because for some reason that revealed another hidden compartment inside the hidden compartment. Compartmentception. Two lightsabers sat snugly against one another in there, and a wide grin flashed onto my face. I pocketed them too, which was followed by Sasha’s voice across the room.

Santhe Tech… here? That was annoying.

‘Delete the schematics that belong to Santhe, and if there are any other tech that seems useful… copy it. Found anything about what happened here? Seems awfully convenient, a large, derelict in the middle of nowhere, suddenly revealing itself here.’

Sasha shrugged a little as she started copying the non Santhe technologies data to her own datapad. "I don't know, the only records are personal logs. He had issue with his executive officer... but nothing on what this place actually was." Sasha turned over a datapad for her technology and sighed. Reaching into the device with the force she overloaded the power source and fried the data discarding the card and throwing it off onto the floor. "Inferior, but maybe...." Sasha could see potential here and there and copied the data to her own pad. "These people could never keep anything under lock and key," she grumbled. "You weren't hired yet, but they actually let people break into one of our facilities creating the Aleph fighter on Lianna. My own security had to do what the Sith failed to do."

And then Sasha caught the sight of the hidden vault out of the corner of her eye. She ran over to [member="Jared Ovmar"] and stared at the two lightsabers. One glossy black the other silver, both finished in electrum."They are so pretty...." Sasha's hand reached out and stroked the silver one gently. There was a datapad inside the little vault. Sasha accessed the data mentally and stared at the little screen. She showed Jared the data. "Jared, this is...." and then she stared for a moment.

Words halted in it’s track as my eyes scanned the message on the datapad, that couldn’t be. Just… couldn’t be, and yet… the sabres did hold some kind of energy to them. Darkness inherited, even after all these years. I held the black hilt with only a shimmer of reverence, say what you want about him, but he was someone else.

I finished her sentence. ‘Sidious’ lightsabers… I didn’t expect this.’ Again I looked around, my eyes resettling themselves onto the various datapads now burned to a crisp.

‘Think we got everything we needed here?’

Sawa moved around, her heart beat slowly returnign to normal while she was searching the room and focusing on what could be here of interesting. At least in terms of finding a way around the ship, she wasn't going to try and comlink and risk something learning where she was while the room yielded nothing beyond the body and datapad. She sneered a little as not even a ships map saying 'you are here' appeared while she reached for the venting and brought her hands up taking the sides. The slip for some metal that could be inserted confused her for a moment while she got the blade of the dauntless and inserted it prying the panel off as it fell away, small pins bending out of place. The way to open it more subtle but while she looked into the compartment pulling out the manuscript and not looking at it. Her bodysuit opening and it slid across her stomach before sliding the zipper up to her sternum. She raised herself up and into the venting letting her eyes flick back and forth before slowly moving forward. She could smell something now, oil and meats.

Cradling the silver cylinder Sasha smiled at Jared through her mask. "I would kiss you if I wasn't wearing a helmet," she said with a laugh embracing the dark lord. "Sidious, destroyer of the Jedi, galactic Emperor. He did more than nearly any Sith in history." And then Jared's words struck her. "I think I've gone through all of these datacards. Ours are destroyed," she pointed to the pile of dicarded and burnt cards, "And the rest copied to my own datapad."

She would have been beaming if she didn't sense life outside the door. "We've outstayed our welcome here I think." Turning she frowned as she heard the sound of something hitting the door. "They may be insane but I garentee they can find a way to break this door open if we don't do something quick." Sasha hopped onto her Segway, "When you are ready, call out and I'll unjam the door..."

Bellalika barreled through the stormtrooper that had appeared in front of her, the cracking sound and dent in her armor as the HRD charged through him and stepped in his mask with her weight getting a gurgle. That armor wasn't normal make well new normal it seemed older and there were more she could hear them now as ahead shadows moved against the dark corridors and she kept moving. The lack of needed to actually breath in place served her well enough when running through a death star sized ship, the internal mapping for it would serve her well as she came to a chasm and jumped seeing the bridges across in some area's retracted. A cannibal howling and snarling below as she smashed into a door and it dented under the impact giving her a grip. Her hand was gashed exposing the metal underneath while she pounded and beat at the blast door to bash it inwards and made a loud enough sound to attract the attention of several.

Location: Cannibal Storm Trooper Camp

As the person ran off before waiting for a response, Jeff and his droids continued to follow, but then shifted speeds. Their speed increased, because several of the EE Units tossed concussion grenades behind them, set to go off if anyone came near them. Finally with that out of the way, they were well on their way to the cabin of the Captain. Feeling it best if they changed course, and went elsewhere due to there already being two in that area Jeff immediately set a new course with his droids. This would lead him to the main camp of the Troopers. His plan was a rather simple one. Wipe every last one of the cannibal soldiers out with extreme prejudice. Upon arriving there, Jeff had a few of the EE droids who had kept concussion grenades hurl them into the fray. Two of the soldiers pulled out blasters and nailed an Annihilator Droid. Picking up his blaster rifle, Jeff opened fire and managed to take out 10 of them with well placed shots. When the blaster ran out of ammo he pulled out a DRX-12 Gun.

As one of them started to run for a light-saber, Jeff threw the DRX-12 into the air and used the Push Gun to knock the lightsaber the guy was running at out of his reach, allowing the EE droids to use their blasters to finish the guy off. Two of the Annihilators also charged in. Seven of the remaining fourteen attacked with shock staffs, immobilizing the cannibal storm troopers. Blaster fire from the EE-Droids, Jeff, and the remaining ones was enough to finish most of the ones remaining, and this convinced the others to keep their distance. Just in case, a set of concussion grenades were hurled in the vicinity of the remaining ones, and another hail of blaster fire was done.

With the soldiers dealt with, Jeff started to survey the camp. It certainly had an abundance of lightsabers. Several lightsabers (15) were picked up and stuffed into the backpack he carried. Various grenades that were in the camp were also stuffed into his backpack. Heavy munitions were stuffed into the backpacks of the droids, as was anything else he could find. Finally having everything they needed, Jeff ordered his droids back onto their speeders, got back on his and started making his way to where he had docked his ship. It was time to depart with what he had got. But before he did, he had some of the ones that still had empty bags collect all the adventuring gear they could. It would come in handy later.

Finally with that out of the way, they started to head back to the ship. There were only 7 droids remaining however, so some carried multiple bags as others had been too heavily damaged. Yes, it was a shame his droids had suffered. But he'd get more built.

HANGAR BAY!

Aedan Miles sat on the bridge of the small Facade-class pocket carrier. The only ship in its 'hangar' was a single fighter that he would use to weave his way through the upcoming asteroid field. Today he hoped to get something better to him then crystals or anything like that. Today he was out to see about getting new ships he watched as they neared the asteroid field and then he held up a hand to stop them. Turning he walked towards one of the hangar pods on the starboard side of the ship.Opening the complicated door system he walked into it and along a cat walk to the Devastator-class heavy fighter that rested there. Opening the storage compartment on the lower part of it he loaded in some items he may need for any work he had to do. Climbing into the fighter he sealed the canopy and his flight suit before begining the power up sequence.

Once it was finished he pressed a button that caused the hangar pod to open slowly splitting in two to reveal the cold blackness of space. Once it was completely open Aedan reached out and released the docking clamp with a button and using maneuvering thrusters moved his fighter away from the docking pod and the ship. Once at a safe distance he slowly gave the thrusters more power and his ship started to move through the asteroid field weaving through it on his way to the large sphere hidden within. As he moved he activated his sensors searching for a hangar to land in. As he neared it he slowed his progress and started to land within the hangar taking note of the Raptor droid fighters in it he grinned and put his fighter down near them. Climbing out of it he dropped to the ground with an audible thud as he pulled his helmet off tossing it behind him. Reaching over he opened the compartment and pulled out the bag of gear as he started to move towards the droid fighters. Turning he calmly called out to his R8 unit "Hey R8 warn me if anyone is approaching this will take some work."

Main Hangar

An S90 MAAT gunship, left over from the Sith Empire just like everything else on the remains of the warworld, landed in the hangar bay. Along with its pilot and co-pilot were two advisors, two dozen repair droids, and a small cache of spare parts. While it might've simply been easier to send Centauruses into the hangar to dock with the ships and haul them away, that was hardly fun. The option she had chosen was simple enough - repair and reprogram the ships, getting them back with her to her collection.

She herself would be going to the Imperial Suite. Perhaps there were some nice furnishings there she could use to redecorate her old Veratus shuttle. Grabbing a skimboard from the floor of the cockpit, she turned it on and headed towards the Imperial Suite of the worldcraft.

This was going to take a while.

Awkwardly I returned the hug just a tad bit, I wasn’t exactly used to getting hugs from the miss. Kinda digged it though, but only kinda, never would admit it to her or anyone else though. Just wasn’t how I did things, eventually she released me, outside noises were starting to appear.

Life signatures were converging onto our position, that didn’t bode too well. I simply nodded in reply, and started focusing remnants of my power, the moment she would rip open the doors I’d hit them with a kinetite ball. Best scenario? They would start flying around, giving us space to ride away.

A construct of pure energy whirled around in my hands and then I said with a calm voice.

‘Now.’

Moment the doors ripped open, the construct would fly away and devolve into three smaller balls. Hopefully it would be just enough to give us a pathway.

[member="Jeff Solaris"] would not be the only one present in the camp. A large blast door across from the entrance the cyborg had made his way through would open. Having taken a different route, Tugoro would spot the cyborg and his droids from across the room, as the storm troopers began to scramble for their weapons. The camp was large, hundreds of storm troopers were present. "Open fire." the young Padawan would command, watching as Viktor and four other soldiers rushed forward, standing in the doorway. Lifting their blaster rifles, the small group of five would begin to unleash waves of bolts upon the storm troopers, while the Jedi leaped into the fray. Blue bolts of energy that were fired by the Republic would coarse around him, the soldiers doing their best to avoid their ally.

The storm troopers however would attempt to kill Tugoro, while trying to deal with the troopers that were mowing them down. Landing swiftly amongst the white clad men, the Jedi would go to work, lowering his arm quickly towards his waist. The boy's hand would wrap firmly around his new lightsaber handle, pulling it from the belt's restraints. Sliding his thumb over the activation switch, he would watch as the red blade ignited into the air. Many of the storm troopers were taken aback for a moment, confused as to why a Jedi would wield such a color. Tugoro simply had no choice, seeing as he had once more taken it from a Knight named Maleus. With quick, powerful sweeps of his arm, the boy would begin to carve through the troopers that were in his immediate area, before leaping backwards. Landing near his soldiers, the Padawan would begin to defend them, his saber being close to his body. With tight, efficient movements, Tugoro would begin to swat away red bolts of energy, standing firm as he delved into Soresu. Lifting his free hand, the boy would utilize his telekinesis, pulling a couple of old lightsabers from the ground and onto his person. Wielding the shoto saber he had just found, the boy would ignite it's dark pink blade, smiling as he examined the color. Soon, the Imperials would be no more, leaving the two groups facing each other.

"Greetings." Tugoro would call to the cyborg, not sure as to how he would respond. Meanwhile, [member="Enigma"] arrived in her spacecraft, touching down in the main hangar where the Jedi's own transport had been situated. The two Republic soldiers that had been stationed to guard the ship would continue to hide, remaining silent as they attempted to take a few peaks out at the new arrivals. Waiting until they were out of sight, the troopers would report what they had seen, Rusher replying to the message. "Sith...Get back to the hangar!" The squad leader would shout, turning around and darting back towards their method of transportation. "I'll remain." The Jedi spoke, causing the lightly armored soldier to pause. "If you say so, sir. May the force be with you!" With that, the Republic squad would make their way through the corridors, hopefully reaching the main hangar safely.

Sasha opened the door on command and set the droids she had previously taken control of to begin firing on the stormtroopers. [member="Jared Ovmar"]'s balls flew out of the room and into the hall dispersing those outside. The minute this happened Sasha sent her segway into motion rushing past one with a quick slash of her new silver and gold saber, Palpatines saber. She wondered what the man would think of her. They had a common history, both from wealthy families, both working in the shadows. Palpatine had the advantage of being one of only two real sith in the galaxy though. Sasha wondered what it would be like if all the power of the darkside was focused into just two beings like in the old days. Perhaps then the Sith Empire wouldn't have fallen. Then again the Sith Empire had always been a troublesome lot filled with arguing functionaries and Emperors like [member="Darth Janus"] who didn't even invade people! Well okay maybe the constant invasions had widdled Sith strength, especially when it caused so many people to hate them.

The stormtrooper fell as her blade struck again into them. "Where to now Mr. Ovmar?" Sasha asked through her internal comunications device. She had the layout of the ship, she could find her way around, her gifts and acknowledging combining, attuning her to the very pulse of the station.

As someone said hello to him, Jeff paused. It startled him, but then he noticed a Jedi taking on the remaining cannibals with the aid of Republic Soldiers. Sure his droids had done some damage, but it was not enough to deal with the entire camp. "Hello young Jedi. Are you here to claim all of the treasures that are here presently? If so, I'm sorry. But I must take the bulk of the stuff here to my ship. " Jeff paused for a moment, before having one of the EE droids drag over a box they had found, and loaded full of lightsabers. There were 20 in the box. Soon he'd have everything he needed so that he could depart from the area, and make his way elsewhere. "You see, I happen to plan to make 5 special lightsabers soon, or obtain them. And so since this place has plenty of them, I plan on collecting as many as I can. My name is Jeff. I'm a human turned droid. Don't ask about my story, I won't tell it right now or at all for that matter. So would you mind helping me transport most of this stuff? I mean you've got a bigger ship likely than I do, and I could use all the help I could get presently. "

His droids continued, until 100 lightsabers had been collected from the area.

Jeff smiled, and then said. "Take them back to my ship. I'll be along shortly."

With that, his droids all started towards his ship on speeders, carrying the boxes and backpacks full of stuff they had collected.

Venting en route to Hanger

She could hear it now, louder sounds and she smelled death on the air. Someone was killing people and she continued crawling quickening her pace in case something came at them. She wans't sure who else was in the station, wasn't sure what else would be around but she was sure terrible things would come if it was killing all the the inhabitants. She moved into the vents deeper while pushing off at a faster crawl until she was in a groove and going towards the scent of old oil and lubricant in the hanger bays. She needed a ship to get out and meet up with her own.

Enroute to the Death Star

It was amazing that it would even have lasted this long. A bit late to the game, but Aeron along with a small division of Omega Pyre mercenaries and salvagers would be coming ready to get what they could for Omega Star Corp.

At least before the rest of the vultures came in and took it all.

They would be making their way precariously through the asteroids, and every once in a while, would come a wince as one got to close. The Zeison Sha was adept at telekinesis, but her speciality lay in the miniscule objects. She was no Siobhan Kerrigan, able to chuck asteroids left and right easily.

But at the very least she could try.

If anything were to get too close that their procedures would not allow them enough room, Aeron would take over, using the force to nudge as much as she could.

There were a few close calls, after all, she wasn't a large object telekinetic specialist, but she did what she could.

The boldness that most beings possessed nowadays really rubbed Tugoro the wrong way, however he did his best to ignore the cyborg's obvious greed. The armored man did not seem hostile, and the young Jedi would try his best to keep it that way. Turning to look behind him, Tugoro would watch as the blast door closed slowly, it hardly being powered. His squad had gotten away for now, though he did worry for their safety. Perhaps he should have gone with them, though what he had been assigned to do was more important. Deactivating his pink and red sabers, the boy would clip them onto his belt, turning back to look at [member="Jeff Solaris"].

The strange explanation Tugoro had been given was rather irrelevant to the Padawan, seeing as he was not worried about collecting lightsabers. He had gotten two from this journey, that would definitely be enough seeing as he wanted something else, that being information. Stepping closer to the cyborg and his squad of robots, the young Jedi would examine the box and other equipment that had been packaged, ready for transportation. "I will aid you, if you aid me." The boy would reply, turning his head to look at the many computer consoles that had long been powered off. "Did you find any datapads?" He would question, not sure if accessing the station's logs and gaining information was even possible now.

In Umbris Potestas Est
The droids, seeing that [member="Aedan Miles"] was working on the raptors, chose to focus their attention(and spare parts) on the ships that needed actual living pilots. Sooner or later, they would be roughly finished, and the power-up sequences for them were initiated. While the ship was of an ex-Imperial design, it was not Imperial - likely [member="Tugoro Taidarious"]'s compatriots would know that. More than likely, they were simply salvagers of some sort.

In the meantime, Circe still floated on her skimboard through the halls of the metal planetoid, to the Imperial Suite.
