It isn't just mental. That's one aspect of it yes that won't affect you. The feelings of intense despair and all is a no.

But the part that is visible, palpable waves of literal darkness, accompanied by a loud roaring sound will affect you.

Waves of darkness manifested in the physical realm as well; individuals noticed that the atmosphere around them—whether within the confines of a building or outside in the skies above—became visibly immersed in absolute darkness. Thunder boomed and was accompanied by a roaring sound as the darkness spread.

Once all this drama has died down we will continue our walk on the beach of Coruscant. Maybe one without as much fighting. (I do duels, but I like to develop a bit of foundation before such fighting occurs so it can make sense).
