James moved through the forest. On foot and traveling as fast as his legs would let him. Up trees, through branches and swinging on limbs, the assassin moved like an ape on Caffeine. Wearing a disguise to hide his image and sporting his dark side signature, James was inbound for the City in the Trees. Aimed to taking it down.

As he ran, he suppressed his presence and signature, hoping to sneak up to the city while the main forces hit the front door.

Map for reference:
Northern and Southwest Highway Branches:

Yorik-trema's clawed to the trees and branches, within proximity to the stronghold, like parasites and fungi clinging to the trees and sucking life from bark and inner xylem and phloem. Upon the largest of the branches, extending from the southwest and the north, monstrous Grokata emerged from the vessels, deflating the presences from within. They lumbered, examining the narrow passageway that extended before them. It was a good thing that the thrall herders, now extending outward from additional drop ships, would guide them down this tight rope path. And they were hungry, soon to be commanded to a most devious plan. In front of them, Vong began their march across the branch. They aimed firing shots at the stronghold as they assumed their form, patented on Manaan, in which they dispersed to prevent collateral damage. In the back lines, rocket propelled blast bugs launched on arc, to descend upon defenses. But for now, these would fall short, as the distance needed to be crossed before efficacy improved. Soon enough, they would halt progression, for the vanguard to arrive, led by [member="Mordecai Zambrano"].

Northern and Northeast Trunks:

Along the ground, a couple of kilometers down, Vong shaped into wookies, through the bred Oogltih Noxokk to which an eerie semblance to the native population was born, moved about with trapping devices. These might prove difficult to deal with, in respect to the Jedi forces. YVH1 were the obvious choice, but the wrong one, as these armored vong suits had been developed on a different pathway than the Ooglith Masquer. While the Masquer was a generalist robe for cloaking in the image of a human, the Noxokk was modified to carry the specific traits of the species bred into it. Detection of these specific vong, would difficult at best, to disseminate between them and Wookiees. It didnt help that the droids being used were centuries old. Nevertheless, the Wookiee appearing Vong were busy capturing Katarn, shaking free from the trees. As a slow upward flow, the cloaked Vong made their way up the trunk speedily as they rode the rowdy lizards. Other, non specialized vong, were ordered to fire on the cloaked figures, giving the appearance of genuine allies to the Republic. They would miss, of course, but they would fire razor bugs nonetheless. These cloaked figures would scurry up the northern and eastern tree trunks.

Northwest and Southeast Trunks:
On the northwest and southeast trunks, the beetles escaped from the dropships upon the bark, and began scurrying up towards the stronghold. Mounted upon them where singular Vong in crab armor, equipped with all sorts of goodies (the typical weaponry including a chitin carbine, singularity mine, and a prevalence of ammo, along with amphistaffs), the monsters would move vertically at 100 km/hrs, in serpentine formations to avoid automated fire. Across their carapaces, the deflection of blasters would produce a profound and awe inspiring gasp from the defenders, as they looked upon their skittering and clacking doom incarnate

Entire Stronghold:
Sliviliths circled the stronghold in excitement, preparing to make moves upon the defenders. However, it seems people weren't thinking when they invited this big flying beasts into the fray. After all, flying through a forest is difficult for small bats, let alone giant tentacle things. Not exactly the most agile of creatures. If someone where to look towards the ground, they would notice two slivilith attacking Wookie appearing Vong, carrying three off into the distance. Apparently those armors really did work and Slivilith were difficult things to tame, especially in the heat of the fight. As such, an additional 10 Sliviliths chased the other two Slivilith, looking to pick up some scraps. A loud boom echoed through the forest, knocking leaves from the mighty trees, as two Slivilith smacked into one another and plummeted towards the ground.

OOC: I had no intent to use the Slivilith in this fight - merely here to cause issues with my own forces, cause dats funny.

A taxi cab service if ever there was one. From the door of the dropship, Gabriel fell out like a sack of potatoes, pushing the force beneath him to land upon a branch. It wasn't hard to pick one, after all, Wroshyr Tree's did not grow in open canopy. If one were to look upon the world of Kashyyyk, they would see branches extending across near the entire planet. Where one branch ends, a thousand begin. It would stand to reason that the Sith Lord was spoiled for choice as he stepped out onto the bark, laying eye upon the forces of the One Sith descending upon the stronghold. He would be proud...if it weren't for his cosmically absurd expectations of damage and pain. He was merely a hungry customer, watching the chef prepare the meal.

He would look over his shoulder, to see who would follow him as he began charging towards the stronghold. His maneuvers would resemble that of the native population, jumping from branch to branch, swinging across vines, to decrease distance from the defensive structure. Soon enough, assuming a lack of resistance, he would find himself in firing range.

There were images all around her, and this was her only task before she had to move out to the front lines. Reports were coming in all over and for the time things were....okay. Though there was a massive force approaching, and who else could it have been leading them? She looked down, the muscles in her face twitching and forming an expression of contemplation. Darth Praelior...and amongst the familiar presences she felt....hers stuck out the most. Hmm.

She cleared her throat and The demo team stationed at the Northwest bridge were ready, "Alright, blow it up." she said with a fierce determination. Then she turned back her attentions to the Southeast bridge. They were meeting heavy resistance and the squadron was struggling. The explosives were set, but it was evident that they weren't going to make it back from said task. She contemplated for a while...there were no words she could give, and over the comm they heard the screams and then what followed it was the explosion. There was nothing but silence and static much after.

And these were the cons of war, as Jedi you want to protect, but its just not possible, however, she could not focus all her attention on that matter, because tons of more lives were at risk.

The entrances were destroyed and they took a portion if the bridge with it. Now they were in a position to hold the approaching forces back. This was at least until the special forces became available to use their hit and run tactics on the flanks. It seemed a majority of the others were more to the North, so she decided to assist at the Southwest gate. Her task for now was complete, so she made her way there gathering her comrades.

Things appear like this now, with X's indicating where things have been destroyed: http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a614/TallSkinnyWhiteMan/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsjs2sppny.jpg

She took her position on the bridge, and the sound of war was there, echoing all around her. A good majority of it was being blocked out by the movements of the tanks. She brought what she thought was enough, units were already scare compared to the Sith. Ru had her soldiers set up crates at different positions. Her version of trench warfare, though a plausible weapon if the need arises.

"Let the horde of the dark lord come forth. This is where we make our stand, together, united. This is for the glory of the Republic, and for the future of the Galaxy. All of those who have lost their lives for the cause, shall see their ideal through, through us. May the Force be with you all."

She ignited her cerulean saber, and with speed and grace she leapt up into the air with gracious acrobatics and stood stall upon a crate, she slightly towered over the others. She moved her right wrist with precision and speed to block oncoming fire. It was as if she left blue lacerations in the air around it.

Rael followed his master through the stronghold. He steadied his breathing, and felt the Force start to flow through him. He used it to fuel his muscles, to heighten his senses, to calm his nerves. He brought his lightsabers into his hands as they walked, not even realizing it. The Kaleesh was a born warrior, but in the process of joining the Jedi, something else had emerged from him. It was something he never thought he would be. A protector of the light, defender of the innocent. He felt ready for anything the dark could throw at him. In his mind, he recited the Jedi Code.

There is no emotion, there is peace,
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge,
There is no passion, there is serenity,
There is no chaos, there is harmony,
There is no death, there is the Force.

The words encouraged him, and brought out the true Jedi inside of him. The Jedi he knew he could be. A fire began to burn in his yellow eyes, shining out underneath his bone mask. A flame of the light.

"Yes my Lord, your will shall be done." Dredge said as he kept his eyes pointed firmly at the ground.

As Kaine made his departure Dredge stood and looked at his men who were forming up still. The imperial Graug, heretic Yuuzhan Vong of the primeval, and the conquered Rat warriors of Kaalonia, he had brought them all here for one purpose. To fight and kill all those who opposed the will of the darkness, and it was going to be an intense fight. Dredge looked to the one hundred and fifty Kaalonians and began to bark out orders.

"KAALONIANS!! Captain Vilzam take your men and burrow beneath the trees! Carve a small path until you get to the base of the Republic Stronghold!" The burrowing rat creature bowed and replies the normal "Yes Lord Dredge" before taking his men and beginning the process of digging a hole into the earth.

The roots of the massive trees would be a problem but they were so massive Dredge was confident the little rat folk could weave a path around them. The plan was to get the rats to burrow until reaching the base of the pubs, once arriving they could provide a many great detail of things to assist the battle. You never played all your cards at once and you looked for different avenues of victory.

Dredge pointed to the rest of his men and it was time to climb. Running with blasters flying above head the Vong and Graug forces moved with utter haste until they came to the opposite ends of [member="Darth Vornskr"]'s forces.

"CLIMB!!" Dredge screamed at his men and soon the forces of evil began their ascent.

The remaining men along with Dredge moved up the trees using their thick claws and packs to hoist up their bodies and heavy gear. They would get into position soon and await the dark lords orders. This was the easy part, climbing trees while being shot at.

She was diminutive and petite but she spoke loudly and bravely. And being Hapan, Armand was used to the battle-cry of strong women like [member="Kira Liadain"]. In fact he was more apt to believe in anything heart-felt and rousing if it came from a female versus a male. Although he knew how deceptive the female species could be as well. He knew well the torment at the hands of three sisters growing up. But all of that was very far away now and worse torments threatened if the Republic and Ession Reformation could not defend Kachiro City.

He also felt a Force connection with the Jedi. In fact the Force was thick and flowing here in Kachiro like rivulets which fed the blue lagoon that surrounded the wroshyr trees of this planet. They were gathered in the largest of the trees called the Kachiro Tree Home at the bottom level preparing to meet the enemy Sith.

[member="Graxin Rade"] had assembled his legion of Graug, and there were native wookie soldiers and powerful Jedi here at the ready to spring into action.

And as Armand listened to Cyril talk of mercy, he thought how hard it would be to show mercy to such a destructive army as the Sith. This was his first test of being a true Jedi, learning how to fight with strength but be able to call upon forgiveness when necessary.

Coming out of one of the "aquatic" vehicles of the One Sith Qun couldn't help feel that perhaps his master was a bit . . . over the top. Not that there was necessarily anything wrong with that, provided it didn't get anybody killed, but Qun was afraid that perhaps the flamboyant nature of him would rub on him. As the besalisk walked forwards and sand began to mix into his shoes. There was a martini in his hands. Gorramit it, I am becoming more flamboyant. He too himself as he drank the martini and threw it onto the ground. Too much fruit for his liking. Taking one of his many flasks he popped the cap and began to chug some whiskey. That was much better. Drinks just weren't drinks if they didn't have a bit of burn in the throat.

"Shall I join your side or extend your hand Master?" Qun asked of [member="Darth Carach"], following him close at his left side. Though he did not expect to remain there for long. Far too many Jedi and Wookiees to think he's remain at the Master's side forever. And besides, what better way to prove oneself than without help?

Objective: 1, Capture/Destroy Kachiro City

At the outskirts of Kachiro the sounds of a wookiee screaming could be heard. Two more wookiee patrol members went to investigate, finding the remains of their companion Utrawwwrt laying on the ground. Blood lay spilling around him. His body was flatter than it should have been, with ivory bones just barely popping out here and there. His hair was normal, not burned, scorched, or cut, merely soaked in blood and other bodily fluids. It seemed that he had been beaten to death. Bludgeoned by . . . something.

Brrrvvvvvvv

The sound of a jump pack was heard and the wookiees turned to face what was already pouncing atop them. One was stark white, the other was stark white, save for the red fluid pouring all over his powerful 'paws'. The hum of repulsor-powered punches was gentle, quite the contrast to the force they generated. The two wookiee scouts? They had no chance. Mangled, beaten, and breathing no longer they sat there peacefully as the two A-2 droids activated their jump packs and headed to join the rest of the 'pack'. Heading towards the Kachiro tree. Their true target would soon be at hand.

I had me quite the assortment of weaponry up here, y'know. Lemme see, got a CZ-838, SRRG, an' my 836 AR, the Hyperion too in case the Anti-Mat SRRG didn't do enough damage. I was up in this tree, just watching. Actin' as sniper overwatch on the Stronghold I had a good view too.

Wearing what appeared to be regular stormtrooper armor with some forest camo instead of the regular pristine white, I didn't appear much to look at. Probably wasn't either. Just some goon in a tree with a big ol' sniper rifle. I peered through the scope of the SRRG to see what I could find.

But oh boy, were they going to be surprised in the Shadowlands with them Wookiee boys I helped Grrrod prep. Ain't nothin' like a wookiee insurgency.

Location: Attacking at one of the two 'large bridges' praelior's forces are converging at.
Controller: Grrrod (OOC: Dak Canton and [member=Rain] and anyone else who wants a shot) [member="Sochi Ru"] (Don't blow us up)
Forces: 200,000 Angry Wookiees
Objective: B, Republic Stronghold
Opponents: [member="Darth Praelior"]

Darth Praelior's vanguard marching toward the tree bridge, slaughtering hapless Wookiees with apparent ease, would soon find that this was, as it was in most cases, a trap.

Grrod had warned his stubborn brethren not to stay behind, but they would not give up their homes and villages. They didn't see the larger picture here, but Grrod knew. How easily did his people forget the atrocities that had been committed upon Wookiee-kind?

Chieftain Grrod turned to his staff and gave the signal, waving one of his ryyk blades. Dozens of tee branches began to fall from the canopy above, no more than mere twigs to a wroshyr, but many larger than a land speeder. They fell long and hit hard, slamming onto the Sith forces below.

From the canopy high above the tree bridge came the sound of over 30,000 Wookiee Guided Rocket Launchers, fired in staccato succession. One hit alone wouldn't cripple an AT walker or a tank, but three successive hits was a different story. They aimed for the heavy vehicles and beasts in the front ranks: the Rakamats, Grokata, Sentinels, AT walkers, and speeder bikes.

After the salvo from above, 170,000 furious Wookiees boiled up from below, they had come from the Shadowlands where the dark terrors crept. Now the inky blackness of the forest floor disgorged a host of wookiees that crept up and onto tree bridge, falling on One Sith from all sides. They wielded all manner of weaponry: Ryyk blades, long guns, heart lances, and bow casters.

Long guns and bow casters barked, green energy packeted slugs pouring into One Sith soldiers while those armed with Ryyk blades rushed forward into the fray.

Sera felt the darkness approaching. And was it ever terrifying and magnficent. Standing, Sera turned to [member="Layna Akhora"] as she spoke. "They are here. And they are here in full force. Come. We're going to the southwest branch. There is an overwhelming darkness there." As she sprinted from the main gates of the stronghold, she glanced back to be sure that Layna was following. She decided it best to send a mental note to [member="Kana Truden"] as she began to make her way there. "Master, I am headed to the southwest bridge. Please call for me if you are in need."

Just a few minutes passed as she approached the southwest branch. Spotting [member="Shule Windspeaker"] and [member="Aaralyn Rekali"], Sera ran towards the pair announcing herself to them as she got closer. Looking back to make sure that Layna was still behind her, she bowed to both masters, neither of which she was too familiar with, though there wasn't really a time to get to know one another terribly well at this point. She looked out over the branches at the massive force that was approaching. She gritted her teeth, memories of Manaan returning in full force as she stood upon the edge, gazing out through the treeline over the horizon. Massive intertwined branches connecting the planet together.

"It wont be long..." She muttered under her breath.

With a quick nod to the Archlord Krest would take his leave and go to rally his own troops. The two thousand Graug Honorguard he was given command over would take little time to rally behind him. They were fiercely loyal to Graxin after all. Without any sort of word or speech, the red man would walk to the shore with his army behind him.

Heh, it had been a while since he lead the Graug in such a fashion. Walking out to the beach front, his troops would already begin to spread out. The large metal gates would be manned, and thousands of guns would begin to line the fortified shore. Then Krest would step out, hands behind his back as he would look to the incoming Sith Hoard.

"We're going to need more people." A graug by the name of Valish stop beside the Zabrak, a rifle in his hand. It was his second in command in a way, but it was deeper then that. This one Graug happened to be one once loyal to Ferus. The irony was plain.
"We don't need more, just need to be smart. Keep the walls lined, but keep the rest below. Lets see what happens first before we begin, aye?"

How he got here didn’t matter. He was here now.

Barefeet on bare earth, on smoothed branch. Mother Kashyyyk whispered to him, danced with him. Down here in the darkness. Down here in the black.

It was here in the beginning. It will be here in the end. The cosmos. The womb. Entropy. Death.

It is the only setting there ever was, here beneath that canopy that blocked out the sun, that warded off the Fanged God. Down in the Shadowlands, where no light had ever been known or needed, but things have lived regardless. Where nature persists, beyond good and evil, and any stupid metaphor of binary thinkers.

So why do the Sith feel they had brought anything other than the obvious?

Rain “clicked” his tongue, curving his lips, masking it as a bird, as a wolf, as a kinrath. Echolocation. The soundwaves fed back, lighting up visual sensors, painting a world not unlike the one seen with eyes…if there had only been some luminescence.

Oh, but the colors. Imagine the colors, freed from the confines of the light’s visual spectrum, broadened to encompass pitch, scent, flavor.

All about him, the wookiees sniffed at the air, similarly as accustomed to the Shadowlands. They had long trained for this Rite of Passage, forged for it. Bathed in the sweat gland of the kinrath, they had come anointed. Before all this, they had evolved to be masters of their planet. Now, stronger, better, fearless they rose, scaling the tree to defend their homes, berserk from battles won and phobias conquered, converging upon Darth Praelor's forces with guerrilla tactics the Sith conventional forces could not have possibly been prepared for in this unusual terrain.

Make no mistake, Sithling -- You will die here

You will feed the tree.

Grabbing one of the throwing spears at his back, Rain hurled it at Darth Praelor from the cover of…everything.

The wookiees easily outmatched the Graug in strength, in finesse, and even in their battle frenzy, quickly dispatching their weaponry with the rykk blade mastery, then wrestling the fatties and hurling them over the side of the bridge where the Graug's bones might splinter upon the Shadowlands floor. Even should their blood survive the viper kinrath venom, they would never endure being pulled apart by their sheer number.

It was horrible. Ugly. But it was not wrong. There was no Darkside here. Only Nature.

And here, the Graug and their silly Sithy shadows were prey.

She was good I had to admit and for the first time in hours I saw some people smile. This was going to be a long day I could tell so I decided to go find my master. She was somewhere around here so I jetted off into a nearby corridor. I saw as wookies and soldiers alike were equipping themselves and shoring up different positions around the tree fort. I paused for a second to help the nearby wookies and troopers lift some crates full of ammo, explosives, and food. Anything we need to hold out in a prolong siege. This was going to get really bad, real quick.

Just as others, Elizie watched the Jedi Master climb on the branch to give an inspirational speech. The Padawan did not need it herself, she had the Light Side of the Force to wash away her worry, but the soldiers around certainly needed a word of encouragement. They faced a great enemy that wanted to slaughter them, turn them into beasts that would fight against their former friends; yet as the Jedi Master spoke, the men and women listening to her found courage in their hearts, and saw the power of unity. Together, they’d make their stand against forces of evil. The speech lit up a fire of hope in their hearts, the image of an unbeatable enemy changed to that of a vulnerable beast that would undoubtedly put up a fight, but could be defeated and killed. The Light Side grew stronger among the ranks, Elizie could feel it. Hope fuelled the Light Side, making the Jedi stronger as well, banishing the creeping shadow of fear that threatened to take over their mind and hearts.

The Arkanian Padawan remained indifferent. She was a Jedi, simply doing her job, her heart carrying no ill feelings towards the invaders. All emotions remained barred behind the wall made out of the Code and principles of a Jedi. She was on Kashyyk, determined to fight the Sith forces not because she wanted to, but because it was her duty as a Jedi. To protect democracy and freedom, to defend the citizens of the Republic and all innocents oppressed by tyranny. Fighting against the Sith was not a part of being a Jedi, no, it was a result of the actions of the Sith. If the One Sith stopped their expansion and stopped mistreating, enslaving and murdering innocents, then the Jedi Order would have no reason to try to stop them. But alas, the twisted ideology, that hate against everything and all made it impossible for Jedi to coexist with Sith peacefully.

Then came another speech. This one fuelling passion. Hate. Bloodlust. The young Arkanian frowned upon hearing the words as they boomed through the speakers. Heretics? No mercy? Extermination? She would have expected those words to come out of a Sith Lord’s mouth, not from one that claimed to be a Jedi. Then again, the man wasn’t a Jedi, as Jedi always followed the Code. One always had to fight with mercy in their heart. It was not the white-haired Padawan’s place to judge though. Nor she had the time to ponder about those ‘allies’ that seemed no better than Sith, the only difference being the aspect of the Force they worshipped.

Some of the guns started to bark, undoubtedly firing at the incoming One Sith forces. For the first time in her life, Elizie felt death through the Force, a stabbing pain as if someone pierced her heart. “There is no death, there is the Force,” she muttered for herself, gazing towards the sky with her white orbs. Peace and faith soothed the pain, making it go away and protecting her from more that would inevitably come.

As the dropship landed on one of the enormous tree branches twisted around the Stronghold, the solemn Chiss turned to his fellow Red Raven Keira. Now that his Force signature had returned, she was able to sense his emotions more strongly than in the months that Dredge had co-opted his head. He gave her a weak smile. Even though his heart was filled with darkness whether it be from Sith magick or criminal sociopathy, the Chiss still managed to be capable of caring about a select few, and Keira Ticon was one of those. Not only was she a good friend, but also one of the only people that the deeply paranoid Chiss trusted. His jaw tighted with an almost imperceptible muscle tic. "I'm fine. Just thinking about Makeb, and those chuff-sucking Rebels," he admitted. his lip curled in a sneer. Half truths. What the Chiss wouldn't tell her was that he was athirst to show his new Master that he would be a useful resource for the One Sith, as he was now wired to be eager to please [member="Darth Vornskr"] with the utmost obedience.

His team of Sith Lords, droids, and slicers looked like they were mobilizing for departure out onto one of the larger branches of one of the Wroshyr Trees that made up the Stronghold. The Chiss was briefed to stay close to Matsu Xiangu, the Sith sorceress with the cybernetic arm and to work together with fellow slicer Xenia Nastassia, a human he knew barely anything about. The slicer-turned-crime-lord nodded to Keira as they readied themselves to depart, his Droid soldiers clanking to attention as they moved with their Master. Turning his head from left to right and with a dark chuckle, Cryax's red eyes glinted with malice as he said to no one in particular:

"Anybody got a match?"

Darth Arcanix, recently having ascended to Ladyship as she preferred to call it, was standing amongst the dropships of the troops she would be leading into battle. A mixture of Vong and Sith troopers marched onto the transports, four giant rakamats being herded into another, all totaled she had another 25,000 men with her and the rakamats to punch a hole through Republic lines.

Walking onto a transport herself, she said, "Let us begin. Death to the Republic!"

A rousing chorus answered her, both in Basic and in the Yuuzhan Vong language. She was clad in black robes that she had affixed some armor plates to the sleeves and edge, her two lightsabers hung from her belt, a black hooded cape hung on her shoulder, with the hood down so her long black hair could cascade around her shoulders.

The transports began to take off, heading for the beachhead for the invasion of Kachirho.

They were there. He could feel their darkness as it spread throughout the forest. Destruction, mayhem, savagery. Callous care for anything other than their thirst for blood and destruction. Weakness. Their desire for power destroyed the very thing they desired power over. This was why the Sith had fallen in ages past. Their hunger for carnage and power ran so rampant they could no control themselves from destroying everything around them. They were weak. Reliance on beasts and technology made them lose their credibility. This wasn't power, this wasn't strength, this was a foolish abomination of what it meant to be Sith. The Executor Prime was disgusted by it.

He strode amongst the Wookies, paying them no mind. Many rushed to man defenses, others rushed for shelter. None seemed to be paying him any mind. His presence amongst them, within their city, was going largely unnoticed because he lacked the savagery, the desire to kill, that the Sith outside of the defenses fed on. He was not here to slay wookies and their allies, and it showed in his actions.

A hoard of Sith forces was approaching the walls. Many Jedi lined it. When he made himself apparent to them, how would they act? Would they turn on him simply because he was tainted with darkness and a thirst for the knowledge and power that he needed in order to save the galaxy? More than likely some of them would. It would be unwise for them to do so, but the narrow minded always saw only one thing when they saw a Sith: evil. Meric was far from evil. Meric was a red light. A light bent on saving the galaxy, but tainted red because he must sacrifice himself to do it. It was a chosen self-sacrifice. It was what must be.

In the blink of an eye, he disappeared, only to reappear standing on the wall amongst the Jedi. Here his hiding of his alignment washed away and he would become the beacon of darkness that he was, but he did not lash out at the Jedi. He merely stood there, drawing in energy from what was around him, absorbing it and preparing for the battle to come. He stood utterly still, mechanical eyes staring at the massing enemy forces. Hands held at his chest with thumbs and index fingers touching. He was preparing to do something extraordinary, but he could only do so if the Jedi didn't strike him down where he stood. He was counting on some of them being sensible. He could only hope.

Gherron continued down the path, aiming to get a hit at the Sith ally he'd seen. Unfortunately, he'd lost him among the skirmish that was now beginning to settle over Kashyyk. Everywhere he looked, he saw small pockets of Republic and Sith forces locked in combat. Time to fight. Nodding to his padawan, Gherron began his descent. Slicing down a few graug, he looked around to see where they were coming from. Geting his padawan's attention, he pointed straight down. "Rael! We've gotta take these guys out! Careful, the ugly ones are force proof, if i'm not mistaken. Let's go!" Before jumping over, he thought of something. They couldn't exactly take on that many enemies without a little help. Grabbing the attention of a nearby wookiee, he tried to get the message across that he'd need help. The furball seemed to understand, because he let loose a war cry, calling several wookiees nearby to his position. Nodding with a smile, he raised his lightsaber and faced the Sith forces. Going over the edge, he didn't exactly jump down, but he was a quick climber, using one hand to let himself down a few feet each time, slicing at as many enemies as he could.

This situation was bad, real bad. Somehow a small band had halted their advance turning this into a gunfight. Something had to be done or they would never reach their objective. Taking charge of this expedition, she yelled for her troops to lay down suppressing fire then looked at the Acolyte that had come with her. "[member="Khan Ra"], you're with me. We need to breach their defenses so we can push on." She looked back at the Sith Lord briefly. "[member="Lady Exedō"], I need both you and [member="Faye Terrik"] to assist in covering us." With a nod toward the Acolyte that was to accompany her, she lept from her spot, batting away two blaster bolts.

Leading the Acolyte, she danced through trees avoiding the rate of fire directed at them. With the gap now closed, she reached into her one of her compartments on her belt and produced three smoke grenades, which she sent flying over the fallen logs that were being used by the enemy. Smoke began to fill the area and once again, she reached into another compartment and produced three small low grade grenades, and they too went flying. At the first sound of an explosion, she took off in the direction of the enemy, and leaped over the logs. Four Wookies stood coughing and pawing at their eyes along with two Republic soldiers, the others had taken the blast of the grenades full force.

"Now we slaughter the rest!" Her crimson blade lit up and she cut down the first two Wookies and one Pub, leaving the others to the Acolyte.

Having long since become lost and having little to no idea where he was or where he was supposed to be, Darth Adekos had since decided he was wherever Cyrax Bane was. It was perhaps a risky decision, throwing his lot in with the Chiss, but other options seemed to be in short supply. Almost as short supply as people he could follow around and look to for guidance. True, he was a learned Master of the Force, but ultimately Adekos functioned best when he was following someone. Anyone. Today this Chiss would work just fine. He had the common decency to employ droid soldiers instead of Vong, so at least he had that going for him. Adekos did enjoy a good droid army.

He didn't answer the question about the matches. Who carried around such primitive implements when going to war? Must have been a Crimson Crow thing, or whatever that crime ring was calling itself. In any event, the Umbaran just followed. That was what he was best at, after all.
