Route: Generator (@Onyx)
With: [member="Allyson Locke"] so far

So she was coming with then. Kaili couldn’t really say it made her feel any more comfortable, but if they died at least they died together. It was a morbid mindset, but at least there was a small measure of truth and plausibility behind it, right? The air around them reeked and lingered with a greater sense of unease, and with Allyson already on her way off the ship in nothing more than a protective vest there was a genuine sense of fear in the blonde girl’s body. The two entered the facility same way as the others, saw the signs of life left by the others yet making sure to avoid any and all signs of traps. When the pools of whatever liquid came about, Kaili had made a protective bubble for herself and Allyson to tread through in close proximity to one another, and as they approached the two doors leading left or right Kaili would eventually turn around to look at Allyson as if asking what to do.

“Generator has more importance, get that started and we can go for the rest of the facility later.” She argued with herself, not really letting Allyson have much of a say before she began to go down the hallway leading towards what she supposed was the generator room.

It was a road most of the others seemed to have gone down as well. The chance of them having triggered traps in Kaili and Allyson’s stead was far greater there than the other road.

“We need to focus.” Kaili frowned as she turned her head over her shoulder again. “And remember, we might have to make compromises we wouldn’t be proud of here.”

“I don’t think everyone have come here with the Alliance in mind, or the Jedi…”

“I mean Sith, First Order… People we might need to work with to survive that we would have gladly told to go shove it had it been literally anything else.”

“So just… Keep it in mind.”

The Maintenance Hallway, Contingency Facility.

Objective: Investigate the Generator [member='Onyx']
Aryn sighed as he watched the group at the intersection. A few spoke up, insisting they should go one way or another, with the only thing that was clear overall being where each way led, the left to the main generator, and the right to the terminal system. Remaining where he was for some time, Aryn watched as the groups began to split off. The majority of individuals seemed intent on heading towards the right, though he could see a fair few individuals turning off towards the left, including a few who he recognized. Sighing, he shook his head, silently cursing himself for his agreement to come along at all, before he continued down to the left.

He held his silence for now as he started down the hallway towards the next room. He hadn't yet reached it by the time he heard the sounds of battle, not blasters, but gunfire from slugthrowers. Finally, he felt pleased at his lack of training with the lightsaber, knowing the weapons did little in response to the bullets as he reached down to grab his blaster, hurrying down towards the door as he brought it up, aiming at the turrets as he fired a few bursts towards them, taking advantage of the fact they were still distracted with the force users who were more closely engaged with them.

Part of Aryn had rather foolishly hoped that they would still take a while before running into any resistance from the Contingency, but of course, that was not to be the case. They were there to destroy them after all, undoubtedly, they would not be making it easy for the rather haphazard group of agents who had come.

How long was it, a few minutes until everyone started arguing, she knew from the get go that things would go down hill, but not this fast. Some wanted to go someways other wanted to go other ways, some people she recognized in addition to Wolfe, mainly the the [member="HK-36"] droid form the bar, not the most friendly sight.

She recognized [member="Kainan Wolfe"] as her employer and superior but understood that running headlong into the enemy in an attempt to catch them off guard was not a good idea, but what he did next kind of worked, going through a path that was not on the map, and adding hundred more option on where they could come from made the chances of a successful attack work.

Formorta ignored [member="Caelag Vass"] and her words, people would die either way, being careful just meant the machines would have more time to prepare and bring the fight to them, something that would make the fight much harder "right behind you M'lord". The vetren sniper followed her lord into the new tunnel, waiting for more people to join before asking, "Did you have a plan after that show M'lord".

Taken aback by [member="Ylva Solveig"] unexpect appearance, Aster stuttered her response. "I-I came her to investigate the origin of the message. And y-yes I was but that was a while ago," she said, attempting a smile. Although she was unused to being spoken to in such a crude manner, she did not hold it against the woman and, if she was to be honest, it was rather refreshing to hear the unfiltered words of another.

"[member="Caelag Vass"] is here?" Aster asked, pleased to hear that there was another familiar face here and scanned the room in search of the Miraluka sniper. Though the room was filled with people and droids of different alignments and from different organizations, her gaze lingered on a familiar looking droid (@HK-36) who she vaguely recognized before finally spotting Caleag. The Miraluka, who seemed to have noticed her as well and was gesturing at the group of Iron Imperials to follow.

Unsure of which path to take as they were just as mysterious as the other, Aster obliged. Following Caelag down the path to the right side, ignoring [member="Kor Vexen"]'s comment that she sensed might have been directed at her.

"Return," the Vice Commander ordered, recalling both of his men upon hearing that there was nothing of note to report from the pair. Should trouble arise, it was best that his men were all together to protect their charge. "Come," he said shooting both Aster and the wild woman a glance, and grabbed the teenager's arm to move her into the safety of the middle. Even if there was an unexpected attack from the front or back, the crown princess would hopefully be safe.

As he stood next to the levers he tried to figure out which, if any, he should begin to play with. Last time he did something similar he had liberated the poor souls of Far Harbor Station from capture by the enemy. But even as a finger tip tapped along the levers he heard others coming down the corridor to join him in the room. Sifting his stance slightly he began to turn to look at who would be his comrade in arms. That was when he heard the subtle sound of shifting plates from the ceiling.

Adrenaline began pumping as he reached out and pulled the Force to himself, both strengthening his body and speeding his reaction time. As glowing blue eyes watched the twin turrets begin descending from above he grimaced at the wonderful predicament he had placed himself in once again.

"Osik."

Then he went into motion. And none too soon. As he began to move the first rounds passed through where the man had just been a mere moment before. The speed of the slugs passing reinvigorated the Mad Knight he began to run in leaps and bounds trying to stay ahead of the tracking turret firing death at his heels.

From the corner of his vision he saw several enter to lend a hand in combating the mechanical fun emplacement. Turning so he would not complete a circuit of the room and bring the turret toward his 'seemingly' allies he kicked from the floor with his right leg, spinning in the air as he rose, and released a wave of fire towards the ceiling where the turrets were sending round after round in his direction.

While the jets of flame did converge onto the turrets, so too did the rounds connect with his beskar'gam. The tracking rounds hit the outer left side of Muad's left thigh which spun him with the force of the blow. The second hit his left hip at an angle in a graze that furrowed through the armor weave of his under armor where the Mandalorian iron plates did not cover. As his body continued to spin the third round was a direct hit to his right side.

While the beskar withstood the might of the blow the ribs beneath the armor was not as fortunate. The kinetic energy from the hypervelocity round cracked three ribs. Hitting the wall Muad bounced and rolled several meters, sliding behind the consoles and out of sight of the turret, a groan echoing from him.

"Osik."

After a couple of minutes of waiting, suddenly words appeared on the signs over the doors. She had this feeling that the droids were playing with them.

The door to the left led to the "Power Generator", which could be used to shut down this "Machine", but most probably the generator wasn't the only thing that was powering it. The door to the right led to the "Main Facility Terminals", which could be used to find out more about the Machine, or the Contingency in general. For the long run, the second option sounded more plausible.

"Let's go to the right. It would be good if we knew more about our enemy. Apparently they like to play games." Nima told [member="Tempest"]. She also saw HK and his group go the same way, which contained some Sith, but well, mutual enemy and all that, so perhaps they could provide some assistance.

The path was very similar to the path they have taken to enter the facility, tunnels, tunnels and more tunnels. But for some reason, they all led to the same place. It took a couple of minutes to reach the end, it seemed as the tunnel opened to a bigger area.

There were a lot of monitors, and buttons. It looked like a main terminal alright, so they weren't lost yet. Another thing that caught her attention was the big blast door in front of her, she sensed great danger beyond, but it was probably obvious since it was an underground facility that belonged to the Contingency. Also, HK and his group was already there as well. One more fact, there were too many Sith around.

Regardless, Nima moved towards the group, trying not to cause any more fights that they needed.

"What's the situation?" She asked, looking around. It seemed they have already started investigating the place.

The demons which served Pomsty were on high alert. Their whispers were interfering with her fun day with Vereshin. What was waiting inside the utility corridor the demons could not portray adequately. The sight of a pile of junk suddenly coming to life as a beastie, had Pomsty scratching her head. “We are not inside a utility corridor afterall; are we?” Pomsty pursed her lips and raised a brow, as she prepared to unleash magic. She silently cursed her minions for misleading her, and in front of [member="Vereshin"]! She felt absolutely mortified!

“Want!” she giggled excitedly as she hoisted upon her tip toes. Whispers told her she should possess it with the spirit of Rin Tin Tin, yet she has no idea whose spirit that even actually is! She would love to puppeteer it! She raised her hands to follow through with her instincts when sooner than she knew it, Vereshin had the beastie performing parlor tricks and playing games. She thought her new Magus friend truly amazing. A queer little smile formed across her face at her realization. Pomsty blushed, but she would not be found to verbally share her reason as to why.

[I think that was all?]

These were dangerous times for one like Darth Filiae. Beside her, behind her, before her were enemies of the Empire. Ahead was a greater danger to the galaxy at large. Too often did one overlook droids, yet here and now beings of flesh did tremble before the might of steel and electricity. One like her, who talked as much with machines as she did with gentlebeings, it was almost embarrassing.

She had been there; in the Chiloon Rift, investigating. Her eyes turned to a figure ahead: [member="Darth Lykos"] . Eyes narrowed in resentment of a slight against her. They, the merry band of mixed loyalties, climbed through the shaft when buzzing little droids came through. Netil almost caught one in her hand, wishing to inspect it when – SPLAT – Dark goop covered her face. She scowled deeply and wiped it from her face, muttering curses under her breath.

Filiae’s presence in the Force was subdued, and besides her disgruntled facial expression, there was nothing that immediately identified her as a Sith: No dark robes or spiky plates, just supple leather, fabric and mesh. Even her eyes were a deep dark red, as Chiss often had.

There was so much talk, and many bodies in the way of one who wished to make progress. Ugh. Fortunately, the obvious choice was made: Split up, take both paths. She moved with the group on the left: Too many Jedi there for her to be comfortable, but it was where she believed herself to me more useful. She formed up in the latter portion of the group, eyes sharp – Did she have goop in her ear? Ew.

She pulled back when a sabre was ignited and slashed through rails. But to what end? Of course a blue blade would do some- Oh look, guns. She took cover on the outside of the door they had initially passed through. Rather than focusing on the turrets, she focused on the edge of the doorway. Curling her fingers, she used the Force to curl the corners in, hopefully creating enough of a barrier to keep the door open.

She waited for the turrets to subside; either they were all dead or the weapons were dealt with. It did not matter much to her. Levers, dials, screens, and… What was that sound?

A whine? A tinny whine, mechanical.

"Don't get your programs terminated," Jorah fired back to @HK-36. That was how droids died, wasn't it?

A number of uniquely unpleasant sensations assailed the hunter as he stepped through the corridor on the far left. The first of which therein being the scent of burning ozone that permeated the air like a malignant cancer.
It made his nose curl in disgust, his lips purse in displeasure. Then came the sound of a turret spewing red hot death toward those Jorah tentatively called allies: the mad knight in particular.

Some of the Jedi were already doing their thing, as Jedi were wont to do. Those righteous members of the bathrobe brigade seemed to have the turrets themselves under control; good enough for Jorah. The hunter's attentions lingered upon [member="Muad Dib"], or more importantly the credit tally that had popped up in Jorah's HUD after seeing him.

There were more than a few zeroes in that tally. Jorah's fingers tightened about his rifle. A hand fell to make sure the various metal spheres and syringes were in their appropriate places at his belt. Satisfied, the hunter strolled casually into a semblance of cover, weapon raised to deal with any further issues that might present themselves.

And then the guy went floundering about the room after taking a round to the side. Jorah snorted.

The rifle rose and barked a steady stream of bolts at one of the emplacements. After which he moved as carefully as one could toward the injured fellow. "How'd that bullet feel?" The hunter chuckled as he settled behind one of the bulkier consoles.

The armor-clad man turned his attentions toward [member="Captain Ironbeard"] and [member="Audren Sykes"]. "I'm thinking the folks with the lightsabers should move at the front. I can't block bullets with my mind," he popped up just long enough to put a few more bolts into the emplacement - just because.

The Slave had kept quiet almost the entire time he had spent amongst the many groups who had meandered through the darkness in search of whatever treasure or goal they seemed to hunt. A few he would travel just close enough to smell, taking a faint joy in the fact they couldn’t notice the ghost that he was following step for step in their footfalls. There was a comfort in not being noticed after all, a stark contrast from his usual flamboyant nature.

Yet, when the doors came to life and offered a path to two worlds, he had only a singular choice he could make. Met with the vocal cues of his AI Companion over his heavily encrypted radio harness, it was easy for him to choose to go to Door 2. He hoped, in fact, that hooking his extremely powerful AI up to the system would allow at least some sort of reprogram to go on; effectively making him one of the most powerful members of the galaxy. With a proxy slice, a series of remote positions with their own dedicated protection services, and a number of other safeguards; he had confidence Cybele would be safe attempting her binary takeover.

At least, that was the hope.

With his figure still hidden in the contingent cloaking systems of his armor, and his otherwise intoxicating force aura shrouded in a thick fog of vagueness, he was completely invisible on his path to the computers. It was only a matter of time before he would attempt to put his plan into action.

The Princess' Wolfglaives beckoned to her call, would return and follow in her stead ensuring that she remained safe though against what manner of foe that might find let alone their numbers within such a place and with what Théodred had told her of being involved in the woman's rescue once already, it was decided that Ylva, upon self proclamation of silence and following, would ensure no hand touched her that wouldn't sooner find itself cut from the bone of the wrist whom owned it.

This [member="HK-36"] was a curious droid in and of itself, though it's advice was well met, the droid wasn't much different from the enemy as far as Ylva could tell, she of whom came from no real experience with these manner of things nor held much of a mind about her for the technological works, she offered the droid a poised glance, nodding apprehensively in acknowledgement before they all started to be on the move. Giving the droid a cold shoulder was nothing personal, she trusted few and had learned that relying upon others would more often see her put in harms way than find anything good coming of it. Still, her blades though made of Phrik, would find a hard time against the chassis and outer shells of these Iron Knights. Fortunate for her that they were not her only weapons.

Ylva Solveig's Quiver carried an assortment of arrow heads designed for a selection of foes though droids were not often her opposition. The nitrogen based arrow heads would however prove useful she hoped, in slowing down the enemy so that perhaps others might take the kill. With her Axe's returned to the ringlet holsters against her leather belt, she pulled the great Bow from over her head and shoulder, leaving no arrow pitched against it's wire for now but if necessary she could resort to using it in melee before loading and loosing a shot.

Silent and observant she would continue to follow those of her own, those she recognized of the Iron Empire's people.

Mishel listened for a moment as sister Ara spoke and thought about her words for a moment, but that as all. Even as the others began to talk her mind was elsewhere, all she knew to do was to follow her elders. Follow them and do little else for the moment, which bored her considerably. She could be at the Bastion learning, or at the University hanging out with her friend and roommate Lindsay. And then there was Kyrel, she wondered where he had been and then as she looked over her shoulder she got a look at Tmoxin. The teenager gave her a small wave and then sighed as she heard Ara speak again. "I suppose we'll just have to clean up after the others," she drawled and then looked down at the black goo. She paused for a moment and knelt down. The young brunette squatted down in her armor and poked at the goo from her gauntlet hand and rubbed it between her fingers and looked at the paths before them.

Left or Right.

She went left without any say, she sidestepped around her master and the others. Mishel walked with some haste, she knew not what was up ahead or who but she looked down and followed what little trail she could find. The facility was ... well, it was as unfamiliar as it could get and she wanted to get to the action as quickly as she could. So she reached for her lightsaber and used it as a light unsure of what or who she would find up ahead. When she looked behind her she didn't see any of her brothers or sisters, "Ara? Castor? Samka?" She said out of fear and knelt down and took her hand into the goo. She scooped it up again and let it flow through her gloves, not knowing that some of the goo bled through her armor making contact with her cybernetic hand.

Kurayami was taking his time to weigh his options. He could dive in and try to take out the turrets there, but it seemed as though a few people were already making attempts to do so. Then time seemed to start slowing around him, the Force was warning him about a forthcoming issue. Sidestep, right...and now. As soon as he sidesteped he heard the unmistakable sound of a round ricocheting. It passed right in front of him, grazing the front of his helmet, still leaving a good dent in it and whipping his head to the left. The sudden motion left him dazed for a moment. Just long enough that he didn't hear the second that was close behind. This one impacted his right shoulder, thank god for the beskar and duraplast plates, but still he knew the sound of a dislocation. That was going to have to be handled as soon as the turrets were offline.

He did what he could to pull the shoulder back to correct alignment through the Force, but with being slightly dazed still from the glancing hit to his helm and the pain of at the very least a dislocation and hairline fracture, it was difficult to keep focused enough to hold it for any length of time. He let his mind wander over old memories, anything to distract from the blinding pain right now. As long as those turrets were gone soon he would be alright, but this was not a good start to things for him. He made no move to get back into the hallway proper just yet, leaning instead against the wall for support until he could clear his mind of this haze.

Organics: [member="Pom Stych Tivé"] [member="Vereshin"]

Cocking his metallic head and sitting with a loud thump, the shard in the canine droid’s body watched as one of the organic beings absorbed the energy from the wires. Was he a shard too? Of course if he were a shard he would have a metallic body like Rainbone did. So likely he was not.

Electricity, Electricity! he woofed, but his words came out as a series of barks and growls.

However, when the male organic fashioned the red wire into a ball, Rainbone’s tail wagged so quickly his back legs nearly lifted off the ground. He stared at the ball in adoration and then back and forth at each organic. He suddenly nipped at the hem of Pom’s garments playfully, but since the droid was so immense and knew not his own strength, even nosing into her with his metal snout threatened to knock her over.

Will he throw it, or won’t he? Will he or won’t he? Will he or won’t he? Hopefully he won’t tease me and never throw the ball.

Rainbone did not like being teased.

His eyes flashed a darker orange color and a sinister rumble came from deep within his body. His teeth began to gnash until…

The ball sailed over him, and he barked once and bounded off to chase it, leading both organics through another long corridor. At the end of it was another door, although a strange mist filled the hallway, and both Vereshin and Pom would feel a sense of foreboding and dread.

Rainbone pawed once, then twice at the door, but never once did he drop the red wire ball from his mouth.

To make matters worse she thought they were having a birds and the bees talk, soooo she slowed her pace a bit more. She could almost swear she recognized one of the voices it was…nahh it couldn’t be. He wouldn’t be talking about the size of his slicer.

She shook her head oh wouldn’t that be a kicker if she died today one of the last conversations she would over hear was someone talking about size. The Gods wouldn’t be that cruel to her would they? They voice carried through a vent, she could hear them moving about.

The Woebringer would give her some comfort right now as she moved along. She knew she would have to get closer to get in on the action but something kept telling her stay back. Wait. They were all grouped together like shooting fish in the proverbial barrel.

Were there voices behind her too?

Then all hell seemed to break loose Rekha ran quickly forward and before her very eyes someone (Muad) was flying. “OH that’s gonna leave a mark”

Kyrel had spent weeks pondering the events of what happened at Alexandria. Many things plagued him such as a new threat of machines taking control and wanting to wipe out all life. He had fought against these new creatures and found those that he had faced most interesting, he had begun to wonder if the technology they wielded would or could be used for his own intentions and for that of being weaponized to be used by the First Order. He had spent those weeks relentlessly searching for more traces and not only did he find out there were more sightings, he had also heard that every nation in the Galaxy was attacked and every bit of information was all over the holo-net. Then finally after he had heard of where the so-called Contingency was through a message, he had set off for Rishi.
Of course, the Master of Ren was not coming alone, he was certain that many in the Galaxy including the Order of Ren were going as well. They had sent him coordinates to meet as soon as they found out about the location, he had set off but had contacted the one who served him, the scientist known as Tmoxin Temi who had brought him aboard her craft the Sovereign Stingray to transport them to Rishi. While they traveled there Tmoxin made her dislike with the mission known much to Kyrel's annoyance. Kyrel was sitting in the co pilot's seat and when they saw the facility in view after traveling for so long Kyrel finally spoke in the cold tone that emerged from the vocabulater. "Indeed there is. This place as you have known is key to what has been occurring throughout the Galaxy. These machines under the rule of a program known as The Contingency seeks to destroy all organic life throughout the Galaxy. I see something more, having fought them I know the potential the technology possesses It can be useful if we gain control of the Contingency. You are going to help me acquire it. Remember that you still serve me your blood has been useful but I always require more from you. Now look there is our coordinates and the other Ren, how joyous a nice little reunion."
He saw the facility as they moved to land where the other Ren was standing when the ship landed and Tmoxin emerged first, Kyrel slowly approached her, the dark figure slowly stepping out as he looked and saw Decitus Ren standing there with her hands on her hips expecting an explanation. Kyrel looked around and saw Mishel, Ara Zambrano the now Queen of the Panatha Reach, Castor Ren one of the most notable Knights of Ren and a known Stormtrooper known as Torian Pierce. Kyrel stared at Decitus for a moment and gave a nod of respect before speaking. "My apologies Decitus, This is Tmoxin Temi a powerful Force user and Scientist who is skilled in such an area like this one. She serves me as I believe that Contingency could be weaponized and useful to the First Order, she is here to assist in taking control of the technology and the Contingency program for our use. But it is good to see you Sister."
He looked at the rest of the group, his breathing the only sound that was made, as he looked to each one wondering how they would fair. No matter when they decided to move he moved with them, always being mindful of what would happen in these halls, as they moved he even felt others here Jedi, Sith they were all here but only farther up then the Ren, he wondered if they would be faced in combat. He relished the thought of facing them in combat. But on the other hand, he had wished to acquire the technology if by any means and putting an end to this menace.
Right or left there was two different paths that needed to be taken, but when Mishel ran off into the left direction, Kyrel quickly went after her silently cursing himself at how foolish she was to run off in the meantime secretions of black goo fell on his armor, at the end of it he finally caught up with her, the black goo all over, it left him silently worried. He was worried for his cybernetics and worried that the Contingency could take control of his machine parts. Something was nawing at the back of his mind. Who knows what would come from this.

Path Generator

One paw on her sword hilt and the other on the disrupter, Ailuros walked side by side with Anya. Her feline senses on high for whatever laid in wait for them. The light was dim, but with her eyes, she could see more clear than the humans. The only sound she could hear was that of their party, in front of them and to either side.

They came to a T in the path and had to choose which way to go. Anya was in charge of this expedition and when she made her choice, the cat followed barely a step behind.

"Do you want me to scout a head? I may be able to move faster than you and see with better clarity, Lady Malvern."

The statement was made with no hostility to Anya and was pure business. She had no clue on the Force, its uses or even what Anya could do with it. This type of territory the cat could blend in more than a mere human walking.
