Well You Haven't Killed Me Yet...

I felt her arms around me but I couldn't speak for quite a while. The memories were just too much. Though, eventually I gained enough composure to wag my tail in reassurance. "Don't be. Its amazing, I love it." I hugged her back and smiled despite the tears. Sure I was crying, but such didn't always mean I was sad. Sure there was a bit of pain, but most of me was just happy at the gesture, and the beauty of the picture.

Saryana smiled nervously and wiped the remaining tears away from his face. "I remember when I was being taught to be the perfect dancer... One of the people charged with watching me could draw... He was actually rather nice to me compared to everyone else... He did something similar for me. He asked me to describe my home and my family to him and drew me a picture of what I described. It made my training a little bit better." The young Togrutan explained as she continued to hold the Zorren. She might not have as sad of a story as him, but she thought maybe she understood a little bit of his reaction to her drawing. [member="William Seraven"]

I smiled a bit wider and held her a bit tighter, my mind settling faster as I nearly got over my little episode. "It does help. It was worth looking at and I'll do my best not to lose it." My tail started to wag faster, and after a moment, I lifted my head from her shoulder, my eyes now having been dried instead of filled with watery tears.

"It's saved on the datapad. You can look at it whenever you'd like... In fact you can look through all the drawings on there if you want." She replied, showing him how to scroll through the drawings. Most of them were landscapes of the city and some wilderness scenes. A few were drawings of a younger Saryana and there was even a few of what she remembered her parents looking like. She blushed a bit and flipped past one drawing to fast for Will to see. "Except that one, I'll find away to block that one... No one needs to see that," she explained hurriedly. She had been taught that the best way to learn how to draw proper proportions on people was to draw yourself in your underwear and she had of course tested this and found that it did, in fact, work. I watched the pictures fly by and a mass of orange as she quickly skipped by one. I had no idea what it was, but considering the lack of black, i doubted it was anything with me in it. I was almost tempted to ask what it was, but considering her embarrassment, I decided to cut her some slack. "Thanks. I'll have to check them out sometime."

Saryana discreetly moved the awkward drawing to a different location on the datapad so that Will wouldn't accidentally see it and smiled. "It's usually on the table when I'm not using it. You could try drawing something on it too if you'd like..." she explained with her usual cheerful grin. She got up off the couch and stretched. "I'm gonna go take a shower and change. I feel sweaty and gross." she told him before walking off to her room to grab a towel and some clothes. [member="William Seraven"]

I chuckled and shook my head. Holding up my hand, I showed her the slightly clawed fingers. "Fraid these hands were made for deft theft and wielding lock picks. "Not so much with a paint brush or stylus. Think I'll be leaving that to you." As she mentioned the shower, I grinned and puled my arms away from her to let her move. "Alright."

Saryana took a quick shower and returned to her spot on the couch about ten minutes later. She was wearing a dark blue knee length dress with short sleeves a bit of a low neck line, but not low enough to show any cleavage. She had a small silver belt around her waist and she was blushing faintly. "All my pants are dirty so I got stuck wearing this. I don't usually wear dresses," she explained as she sat back down next to him. She wasted no time curling up against him again. [member="William Seraven"]

I rested as she went off to shower, looking through the pictures on the datapad. To be honest, the hidden file did tempt me, after all, i knew how to hack into most passwords. Still, it was her wish not to look so I quickly dismissed the idea. As she returned, I smiled u at her and set the datapad aside. "It looks beautiful. If I didn't think it looked a bit uncomfortable, I don't think I'd mind seeing you in that sort of clothing more often." As she curled up to me, I naturally found my arm and tail wrapping around her as before.

"Really? To be honest it's not that bad... Pants are cheaper to buy though, which is why I wear them more," she explained, resting her head against his shoulder. She closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of being close to him for a few minutes before beginning to speaking again. "So have you done a lot of travelling?" she asked him, curiously. She had led a rather boring life so far, but Will seemed like quite the adventurer. She wondered what kind of stories he would be able to tell her of other parts of the galaxy. I grinned and nodded to her question. "Its all I've been doing. This is actually the longest I've ever spent on one planet." Though those were my words, there was one part that I didn't say but meant. I stayed because of you. Of course, I had no idea what she'd think i meant, hell I hardly even know. No, it would likely be better if that went unsaid.

"What brought you here then?" Saryana questioned, wondering what twist of fate had brought this wonderful individual here. She considered asking him what made him stay as well. A small part of her hoped that she was the reason he had chosen to remain here, but she had no idea why. She wanted Will to think of her as someone important and worth holding on to and being with. She cuddled a bit closer and waited for an answer. [member="William Seraven"]

"A ship." I grinned and continued to rest. "That's really all it was. I flew the ship and eventually, I stopped here." My tail wrapped around her a bit tighter. "Just saw this place and decided to set the ship down with the keys where they can be grabbed. So until I want to spend the time to steal another ship, I guess you're stuck with me."

"Well I like being stuck with you," the Togruta replied, squeezing him a little tighter to emphasize her point. "So keep being lazy because when you leave I'll be sad." Saryana giggled as she continued to cuddle against the Zorren. She was once again running her fingers through the fur on his tail as held her close. She found that she thoroughly enjoyed the feel of him holding her close while they talked. [member="William Seraven"]

I grinned and enjoyed her words. It was good to be wanted as more than a bar room fee. "Don't worry, I don't have any plans of leaving soon. I like it here." The bottom half of my tail wagged as she held the rest. I enjoyed this talk. If only she had more days off. Then perhaps we could do this more often.

"I like having you here," she replied, petting his tail and snuggling closer to the fox like boy. She hoped he didn't ever decide to leave. Having him around made life so much better for her. Suddenly having a friend, or maybe he was more than that now, had done great things for her outlook on life. She no longer dreaded waking up every day. Sure she still hated her job, and she was still rather poor, but Will made those problems much more bearable. Now she had someone to keep her safe on her walk to and from work every day, as well as something to look forward to when she got out of work each day. [member="William Seraven"]

And I enjoy being here. The street life, just without the sleeping in a dumpster. Sure I wanted better for her, but for me it was perfect. My tail continued to wag in her arms as I reclined on the couch, on the verge of dozing off. Maybe if I did leave some day, I would get lucky and convince her to come with me. After all, I wasn't done exploring quite yet.

"If you do leave... Could I join you?" Saryana mumbled sleepily. She was being to fall asleep as well, but she couldn't stop the question from bursting from her lips. "I don't have much longer left on this planet anyway. I'm to be shipped off to a hutt to serve as a private dancer in a few months. I don't want to go, but it I don't receive a better option soon I'll be forced to." The Togruta explained as she glanced up at Will.

I smiled and nodded, her question having been the perfect words for me to hear. "Of course, I'd like nothing left. I might have to step up my standards for sleeping places, but I would love to have you along with me." As she started to yawn, I couldn't hep but laugh a bit. "Am I that comfortable to where you always get sleepy?"

"Yes," She replied cuddling up to him. They were practically laying on the couch and Saryana had her head resting against his chest. She yawned again and nuzzled him sleepily, beginning to fall asleep again. It was his fault for being so warm and cuddly. He was like a puppy. [member="William Seraven"]
