A force sensitive who follows a code, whether it be a new or old variation, that seek a goal using the force as a means to an end. They needn't truly be evil, but they ought to not be too pragmatic in their approach - unafraid to kill average Joe if it means that it would bring them one step closer to that goal - and they shouldn't be needlessly violent/mindless to slaughter everything that might get them to that goal - unless that goal might be total annihilation or something, but then that'd not be a great goal.

Stop being one-dimensional. Yes, the goal is important, and yes, it is important to stay true to obtaining that goal - whatever means necessary and all that - but even Sith have personality traits that extend beyond hatred and anger. Most of the Sith tend to be written like evil robots - practically emotionless unless it is a specific trigger to their character.

Gonna be honest here. I find Sith like Bane and his ilk to be boring. Power for the sake of power isn't a goal, it's something you see in a PowerPoint presentation about how to be a bad guy at the Evil Overlord's convention. The best Sith all had goals they were working towards, things they would do terrible things to achieve. They weren't monolithic ubermensch."I am da most evilest" is not characterization, it's something a middle school kid doodles in their notebook while fantasizing about taking over the world.

Be Sith. No, seriously. Have a goal, have a plan, have something. Also, maybe lighten up a little, at least OOC. What could have been a fun storyline turned into a charlie foxtrot when the Coruscant coup thread got weighed down by personal egos. That could have been a kickass three way battle royale, only one of the attacking factions noped out and the loyalists just didn't post. Or when they did post, it wasn't in response to anything that was actually going on outside. The OOC got pretty nasty too. They'll likely win by default, because no one wants to deal with that crap and the thread has stalled.

Probably Jacen Solo, up until then end of book 6 of Legacy of the Force. From book 7 on he was more of a joke than anything, but before that, he was great. Powerful to be sure, willing to do whatever was necessary to accomplish his goals, and proof that you can be both competent as a Sith and conflicted about whether or not you're doing the right thing. And he wasn't just trying to be evil for the sake of evil, he really did think he was doing the right thing by bringing order to the galaxy.

Can't say there's anyone that's really caught my eye. There are some decent writers doing Sithy stuff, but it's more or less all variations of the same tropes and themes I've been reading for the last 8 and a half years of RP. All start to blend together after a while. That's also the reason why I haven't been following the Jedi much. Granted, I haven't been looking as hard as I could, so there's a good chance I've missed some stuff.

  • What is a Sith to you?
A deceiver, ruthless, cunning and long term planner. Someone with THE will. The will to act at any moment to get what needs to be done. Whether its the galaxy or some personal business.
  • What would you like to see Sith on SWRP do more?
Personally Id like to see less Sith on SWRP. The idea of One Sith in my view was always kinda stupid. I enjoy the Sith who were more hidden and planning like Bane & Plagueis
  • Who is your favorite Sith In Star Wars?
Darth Kryat & Darth Wyyrlok III (Not because he made One Sith but becasue how he got to that point.)

  • Who is/was your favorite Sith on Chaos?
Well poop... I think my favorite was when she was alive Darth Vitium AKA Braith

What is a Sith to you?
A wannabe god flaunting their evil by pumping a red glow stick about!

How can so many god babies with oversized egos function in one organized group? Especially when ultimate power is what they seek. They should be killing each other off in scores.

  • What is a Sith to you?
A Sith is a person who wields the dark side, and aligns themselves with the factions that designate themselves as 'Sith'.

[*]What would you like to see Sith on SWRP do more?
  • I'd like to see a variation of Sith on SWRP. Speaking from an unbiased viewpoint Sith don't have to fit a stereotypical mold of power hungry, absolutely evil beings who completely reject all other views. People fall to the dark side for many reasons, and they follow the Sith faction for many personal reasons.
  • If I can give you some constructive advice [member="Aellin Tedronai"] when your designing your character, don't design him or her as a "Sith", rather work on designing who they are as a person, what makes them tick internally, what forged them into who they are. Don't let "Sith" define your character, let your character define your character. Build the character first and then focus on how or why they follow the dark side and in turn the Sith, it'll be a much more enjoyable experience, and it's far easier to write with a character you understand.

[*]Who is your favorite Sith In Star Wars?
  • I've always liked Darth Bane a lot.

  • There are a few Sith on Chaos that I like. Darth Vornskr, Braith Achlys, Darth Adekos, are just a few..

Darth Prosciutto, I appreciate your attention to detail in creating a villain. We NEED more writers like you. Dune would probably dislike Prazutis but I look forward to someday writing with a skilled RP writer like you.

I've always looked for reasoning in a Sith. Too many times you fall upon Sith who are the way they are without really any proper reasoning for it. Origins can be just as important as the current storylines or plans for the future or schemes. Especially when you find truly diabolical characters that have developed from a meager history. Sure, we can all maim and brutalize our characters, but it's incredibly difficult to write a sinister villain with no stereotypical foundation. At least, I've always found that is the case. And I think at times that can be a bit unnerving for readers, which is good. Develop a character that doesn't entirely make sense, just seemed to snap somewhere along the way.

I guess I don't really care what the Sith does so much as it comes along as something that is unique and interesting. The same old tropes get old.

What is a Sith to you?
- Utter and complete desperation. In the sense that they will do absolutely anything they deem necessary in their frame of mind to complete their objective. This objective can be anything but it should be the most important thing in the universe, more important than anyone else prerogative. A Sith doesn't know the meaning of compromise.
What would you like to see Sith on SWRP do more?
- More impact of the darkside on characters. If you're going to embrace the darkside, do so with the knowledge that the flame that burns twice as hot burns twice as fast. This is star wars, not Hollywood, embrace the sinister and decrepit.
Who is your favorite Sith In Star Wars?
- Should be fairly obvious that Darth Sion was my all time favorite. There is just something uncomfortable about his portrayal, the sort of drive he had and the fact that the very thing he despised was what kept him alive. Sort of like gripping a burning rope hanging from a cliff, I just always found that idea very interesting, even if he wasn't always portrayed to the depth that the character should have seen.
Who is/was your favorite Sith on Chaos?
- Too many to pick from. If it's well written and intriguing, I think the character is worth being a favorite to someone.

I'll try and get these questions answered later... But.... There's been some good responses. Summarily? Think outsidethe karking box. You are more than an emo kid flipping his/her hair and listening to MCR.... You are the embodiment of personal obsession, intelligence, and true evil.. Act like it!!!
