What fate do the stars hold for the wandering soul?

With the break of the kiss, Jace's eyes slowly opened, reflecting the very same look back to her before turning his head slightly and groaning, he understood perfectly and hated to end the night this way, but he wasn't going to push his luck either, and so he shifted, slowly sitting up, then offered his hands to Lyra to help her up. "Well... it's for sure been a pleasure." he would kiss the back of her hands softly, wishing not to break from her at all, but he knew he'd have too, his eyes moving over her flushed body once more, fighting the urge to kiss her again.

He cleared his throat before looking into her eyes again, "I can get you a cab if you like? The least I could do for you really..." he was trying to keep that good first impression going, but also trying to be the gentleman that he figure he should be, after all, what kind of man treats a woman so and leaves her to fend for herself?

It took a great deal of effort for Lyra to let this man sit up. Seeing him do so made her want to reach out and reel him right back down against her. Unfortunately she knew that if they stayed in this room too long after that buzzer had gone off, someone would come looking. So when Jace offered his hands to her, she reached up and accepted the offered help.

When he kissed her hands, she felt that flutter of heat course through her again, and she sighed softly because of it. The sound was desire, nothing more. But his question made her smile and she shook her head just slightly. "No, I don't need a cab." she assured him. She then sat quietly for a moment, obvious debate on her face as she studied him. "Wouldn't mind some company though..." she put out there, and then raked her teeth against her lower lip once the suggestion was made.

He nodded a little, almost disappointed when she shot down his offer, but then she mentioned liking company he perked up a bit, "I can most definitely give you company. Not like I have anywhere to be." he grinned playfully, giving her another light peck on the lips before standing and offering her a hand up off the seat, he imagined they'd need to get moving quickly before someone came looking for them. "So where should I meet you? Just on the bar floor or at the entrance?" he also realized he should probably do something like pay for this night, after all, he wanted to keep her happy, and not upset the establishment too much, he had already taken Lyra for what was left of her shift.

He straightened and smoothed his clothes some, knowing that he'd become a bit disheveled looking in their make out session, he almost felt like a stupid teenager again and how giddy that made him feel, his eyes on her again, her beauty captivating him once more.

"Good." Lyra smiled far too easily at him, and when he got up and once again offered to help her, she took the assistance. When she was on her feet again, she took the time to make sure her attire was still in all of the right places before she shift her gaze to his again. "We can meet at the entrance." she told him, and then she reached out with both of her hands so that she could rake them through his hair and help put it back into order. Lyra herself didn't have to worry too much about it, considering her job.

"Alright, I'm going to go clock out and change, and then I'll meet you outside at the entrance, alright?" she couldn't help but to smile at him, though she bit her bottom lip to try and contain it some - didn't help. Her fingers trailed against his arm as she stepped away from him, and then she went and opened the door, flipped the switch off, and once again stood aside so that he could leave the room first, just like he had entered it first.

He paid attention exactly to how she was behaving and smiled with a nod, "Entrance it is then." he said with a calm tone, but it was clear he was quite excited to be spending more time with her. He nodded again, to show that he understood and left the room after she held the door open for him, that part would be one he couldn't quite get used too, but he did as requested and moved towards the front.

He made his way to the bar and paid for the experience and drinks he had acquired for the evening, leaving a heavy and considerable tip for Lyra, making idle chat about the establishment with the person he dealt with for the payment before finally making his way for the entrance. Once at the front, he leaned against the wall and closed his eyes, breathing quiet and calm like as he registered every sound he heard, keeping his mind open to all things in the area, he'd have to be patient as he waited on his new friend and that was fine, she was worth the wait.

Once Jace had left the room, Lyra shut the door and followed along behind him until they had reached the end of the dim hallway, then if he were to look? She was gone. She hadn't just up and disappeared of course, there was a hidden entrance on this side of the club into the back where the dressing rooms and such were.

Just as she said she would, Lyra went and clocked out, and then she made her way to her little dressing room so that she could get herself changed. The attire she had been wearing was put into a basket that was meant for costumes and the like that had been worn and needed washing, and then she dug through a go-bag for her clothes. It didn't take her long to get cleaned up and changed, and her clothes were most definitely more mundane than her work clothes had been.

Lyra said goodnight to a few people as she passed and she had stopped to get her take of the night from the bar, but once she had been ready to go, she didn't linger like she usually did. She took her things with her to the door, said goodnight to the bouncers, and then stepped out into the late night air. It didn't take her long to find Jace, and she smiled at the sight of him, and the fact that it made her heart race to see him. "Well hey there, stranger." she called out to him playfully.

Sensing her presence near, and hearing her voice, Jace's eyes opened slowly as he turned his head to look over at Lyra with a grin, "Well hey there yourself good lookin', come here often?" he teased a little, as he moved away from the wall and his leaning there, starting to walk over to Lyra and offered her his arm for the walk, or ride, or whatever it was they where going to do to get to her place. "You know, I fully plan on taking up your whole night anytime I come in, yeah?" he smiled at her, trying to see what her reaction would be to such an idea, he know he'd like too, but he'd have to see how well she did before he'd do it.

With that he just waited before they started in whatever direction, she'd have to lead the way for the pair to go to her place, but that was fine, every moment with her was a moment well spent.

She laughed softly when he greeted her in return, and Lyra closed the distance between them once Jace had started walking towards her. It was entirely too easy for her to loop her arms around the one he offered to her, and she fit herself against his side. It was a natural fit, something the redhead had noticed when they had been much more intimately pressed together. And that thought riled all sorts of other thoughts that she had to quickly push away.

"Do you now?" she mused, turning her head to look at him now as they walked. Lyra didn't live too awful far from the club, though it was most definitely nice to have someone to walk with for a change. "Well, I think that I just may be alright with that." she informed him with that slight smirk. She was most definitely not opposed to the idea of spending her work nights in his company.

"Mmhm, I do." he nodded, smiling a bit as they walked arm in arm, her form up against him being a wonderful feeling. Lyra's continued response also made him grin, being happy that she'd like something like that, and so he started to plot out how often he believed he can pull it off, because he had intended to make this a regular thing, despite knowing that what they'd probably be doing would be a little against the rules.

As they walked, Jace started to suspect they wouldn't be going far, which what part of that he enjoyed, another part he was kind of sad about, because he loved just having this moment with her, but somehow he felt they'd be enjoying a lot of time together often, and he did say he'd come keep her company so it wasn't like he was leaving her at her door. Glancing at her, his smile grew a bit, this was the most natural feeling thing ever, and it was amazing on so many levels to him, "Have you ever felt like this before? Happy and giddy with another person?" he had been curious, so he figured there was no harm in asking.

Lyra was very much so aware of the way her arms fit around this on of Jace's, and her fingers idly brushed against his arm - fabric or not - as they walked. She was insanely comfortable with this man, and content in a way that she didn't even know existed. Odd, all things considered, but that seemed to be the theme tonight between the two of them. An instant connection, the way things had gone in the private room, now this on top of it all? It was all odd, and yet not in a way that made Lyra want to run for the hills.

"I can honestly say that no, I haven't." she answered him easily when he questioned her, and it was absolute truth. Sure, she had felt attraction before, and that ridiculous sensation that came along when something was new with someone. But she had never before felt anything like she felt when Jace was involved. "Have you? Or is this just as downright crazy to you as it is to me?" she questioned him in return, and yet she was smiling to indicate that she didn't mind this sort of crazy.

"Once upon a time, I would have said yes." he responded, a slight purr at the back of his throat from the feeling of Lyra's fingers on his arm, the sensation nearly distracting him from his thoughts, but he managed to press on "I was young, I guess we both had been, and had so many dreams, but what we wanted was very different and ended disastrously. I was in a pretty dark place following it, but a friend helped me realize that it was just another chapter in my life.". For just a moment or two as they walked, Jace found himself reminiscing about those days, then shook his head as he glanced to the red head on his arm, he learned a lesson from that past to appreciate what he had, and he fully planned on it this time, he wouldn't make the same mistakes and fight harder to make things work.

He leaned in a little to kiss her cheek, "But this does feel way more intense than anything else I've ever been in, so I guess it's a little bit new and a little bit old." he grinned at her, liking the way that sounded when he said it.

She took note of that purr in his tone, and Lyra's fingers tightened against his arm just briefly in reaction. She did her best to focus on what he was saying rather than what his arm felt like beneath her fingers as they had tightened. She was very much so aware of him, and hearing what he had to say as well? "I'm going to have to remember to say thanks to that friend of yours..." she stated, even though she knew that the likelihood of her meeting said friend was slim to none.

When he kissed her cheek, Lyra's head turned almost automatically so that her lips could brush against his rather than his against her cheek. Just that brief contact made her insides warm, and she made a soft noise at him. Knowing that he felt just the same way she did about the whole situation made her feel better about it all, but it also made her feel more...well...needy.

She was going to have to be careful with him, she could already tell. "It's most definitely the most intense thing I've ever felt." she stated, a little more softly than she had intended, but there was no taking it back now.

The brushing of their lips together almost made him melt, and he smiled pressing his lips to her a little tighter, before finally chuckling at her words, "I'm not sure you'd want to meet him, he's... complicated to say the least." he grinned a bit, rubbing the tip of his nose against hers, now he was really hoping they'd get to her place soon before he could do something silly, like pinning her to a wall and kissing her. "I feel it's probably an intensity we both needed, if we're both feeling it." he grinned still, lightly kissing her lips again, the slightest bit of a nip at her lower lip as they continued, he loved the feeling of her against him, and he was certain she could tell with his little kisses and nips.

It became frustratingly complicated to keep walking, especially when Jace not only reciprocated the attention, but had also delved into it further. The nip to her lip caused Lyra's own teeth to rake against her lower lip, and she had to force herself to keep walking. They were almost there, almost to her place. She just had to keep focused.

"I've dealt with my fair share of complicated people," she stated, trying to keep her mind focused forward, otherwise she'd end up stalling them and taking that much longer to reach their goal.

A fact that wasn't made any easier when he mentioned that the shared intensity between them was clearly something they had both needed. The redhead smiled and shift her focus back ahead of them so that she could continue to lead the way, as well as keep her focus. She managed it, and lead the way into a building that was clearly built for apartments. An elder man behind the front desk looked up and at first loft a brow, but then smiled and greeted the redhead warmly with a soft spoken "Miss Lyra."

"Good night, mister G." Lyra crooned to him in response, then lead Jace to the elevator bank. When one of them came open, she stepped inside, waited for him to step in with her, and then pushed the button for her floor without a word and nothing but a smile.

He chuckled a little, "Oh I'm sure you have, but how often have you dealt with Mandalorian's, or Sith? Or both..." Jace's brow furrowed a moment, it was mostly a playful gesture and look, but she'd be able to tell he was actually a little perplexed by having such a friend. When they approached the building and moved past the older gentleman, he just nodded to the man, then stepped into the elevator with Lyra, and leaned against the wall, one of his hands moving out to lightly tap the back of her hand with his fingers, grinning at her almost innocently, but also still playful at the same time.

He cocked his head to the side a little, just watching her face and expressions, he wasn't afraid to admit that she made him feel things he'd never knew possible, the same stupid little things from fairy tales and romance holonovels, but real life? pft. So unlikely, until now it seemed.

"Would it surprise you if I said that I have regulars of both kinds?" she both answered and questioned him in return, though really she didn't expect an answer. The Dive catered to all kinds of people after all, and all sorts filtered in to get their fill of the atmosphere.

When Jace touched the back of her hand, Lyra's head turned so that she could look at him. She studied him for a long moment, and as she did so her smile slowly broadened. She then reached out with one hand so that she could curl her fingers into the fabric of the front of his shirt, and then she tugged. The elevator ride may not be too awful long, but that didn't matter. The walk here had been taunting enough, and right now she wanted him close to her again.

"I guess not really? But he's both. Or was both..." he laughed a little, but then that hand came up and curled into his shirt, and he happily obliged, moving in close, making it so she was caught between him and the wall of the elevator as he brought his lips just precious centimeters away from her own, the odd breath allowing them to gently brush against one another. There was a small grin forming as his hands rested on her hips once again, "Is this what you wanted?" he just barely whispered loud enough for her to hear, staying in this close but almost torturous potion for them both, but he was having fun teasing her, knowing it would pay off for them both eventually.

It took a lot for him not to fully cave in and just forget the world, but he figured it'd be better to save that for when they actually made it to her apartment, but for now? The thought was fun, and the game was interesting.

To have him close to her again caused Lyra's cheeks to grow warm once again, and her other hand joined the first in curling into the fabric of his shirt with the first. She looked up at him through her lashes without lifting her head much. That half lipped smirk tugged at the corners of her mouth and she arched a brow at him. "Are you telling me this isn't what you wanted?" she questioned him right back, "Because if it's not..." her fingers uncurled and her palms pressed flat against him instead, and she pushed just slightly. Not enough to move him, but with the clear suggestion that she could, and would push him back, though that expression never left her face.

The grin grew a bit more, his hands pulling her directly against his body, "I want this, and everything to do with you." he cooed at her, pressing his lips to hers in a very fiery and passionate kiss, his hands holding her hips firmly, as their bodies were in full contact. At this point, he didn't want to let go, not now, not ever, but he'd do so if she asked, because they still had to make it to her place after all, but in this very hot moment, he didn't even want to think about that, he just wanted her and to keep holding her as long as possible.
