What fate do the stars hold for the wandering soul?

There was little time for Lyra to do much more than make a teasing sound in response when Jace had spoken up in reply. It had started to become words, but then his lips were against hers, and all matter of witty comebacks were gone. The hands she had, had between them moved so that she could instead curl her arms around his shoulders and use the hold there to reel him closer to her still, if that was at all possible. In that moment she didn't care that they were closing in on her floor and that the elevator would soon come to a stop. Right in that particular moment, all Lyra cared about was the fiery kiss that had been given to her, and her own need to return it with just as much desire and vigor.

The intensity of the kiss seemed to grow with her returning the favor, his arms wrapping around and clasping behind her, keeping her there in his arms as they kissed with an all consuming heat that would make the most intense solar flare pale in comparison, and all it did was make him crave and desire her more. His mind raced with a million concepts of what would happen next, but just being in this embrace was almost paralyzing, keeping him in this position, kissing her deeper by the second, and if he wasn't so sure she was as close as physically possible, he'd have tried pulling her in closer.

It was probably good that the bell for the door sounded, because if it hadn't? The security team most likely would have gotten one heck of a show. But as it were, Lyra broke their heated kiss with a soft gasp, though she didn't lean far away from him and her arms didn't loosen from around him any. She kept her hold on him, kept herself pulled tightly against him, and she breathed heavily while she attempted to gather her bearings.

"Almost there..." she whispered the words at him, and her eyes finally came open so that she could find and meet his gaze again. The intensity between them was most definitely still present, and it made Lyra wonder just how much more intense it would get before it burned out - if it burned out.

Eyes slowly opened, looking into her gaze and he nodded a little breathlessly, figuring they should probably move before they started again, his grip loosening up slightly, but not really letting go till he allowed his hands to move from the small of her back, towards her back and then slowly off of her body, and it almost ached to remove them from her. He was unused to feelings like this, and tried to remain calm, cool and collected, but it was getting harder by the moment, she was something else, that was a fact, and he loved every moment of it.

It took a great deal of effort for Lyra to pull her hands away from Jace and let him step back. She didn't want to, and every bit of her scream to reach out and reel him right back in. But the doors came open, almost as if in some cosmic sign or gesture to tell the pair of them to get out. Probably for the best, considering how quickly things became heated between them. It took little more than looks and soft touches, and boom.

So Lyra took the first steps and forced herself away from the wall and out of the elevator. And she made sure not to touch Jace on her way out or all of the progress she had made to steady herself would come undone, and she knew it. And rather than tempt fate, the redhead kept walking, though she did shoot him quite the sultry look over her shoulder once before heading down the hall.

It was a few doors down, the apartments all seemed to be generously spaced apart, and that was always something Lyra was thankful for considering the hours she worked. She unlocked the door, but rather than stand aside and wait for him to go in like she did before at work, she stepped right into her home and left the door open for him to follow. Her shoes came off out of habit as soon as she was inside and they were set aside on the floor, out of the way of the walkway. Lights came on, illuminating her home, and finally she turned around to face Jace again.

"Well, this is it." she let out with a simple shrug of her shoulders.

As she walked away, and the look she gave him, he bit his own lip just slightly, his heart racing a mile a minute. He was quick to follow her though, but dared not tempt fate by reaching out, he read her body language and knew they had the same thought, the chemistry they shared flared up with the touches and looks, so it was best to wait a few moments.

He waited as she unlocked the door, and for her to step in first, then followed suit, also removing his foot wear and quietly closing the door behind them, trying to be respectful of the neighbors and the like, then slowly turned, taking in everything and nodding. "It's a nice little place you got here, reminds me of the place I used to stay in on Coruscant." he mused, it did have a lot in common with that place, but it seemed, larger than the one he had, and he smiled, then rolled his shoulders, once more looking to Lyra.

As he looked her over, he could feel that temptation rise again, but he resisted for the time being, as much as he wanted to take her into his embrace again, he felt perhaps letting her settle into her place first was a better idea.

The sweater Lyra had been wearing was peeled off and hung up, and then she stepped away from the entrance way and deeper into the apartment. "That's good to hear," she told him, and she sounded amused. "The woman who owns the building kept trying to sell me on the fact that it looked like something I would find on Coruscant or the like. Nice to know she isn't full of it."

She turned so that she was walking backwards towards the living room area, and that soft little smirk reappeared on her features again. "Well don't just stand there. Make yourself at home."

He laughed a bit at her response to his comment, and then grinned as he followed after her, his eyes never leaving her for a moment, whatever it was they had between him, he could tell it was only bound to get stronger, and he had to secretly admit to himself, that thought thrilled him. As he moved in closer to her, he debating scooping her up, or just following her into the living room like space, then he grinned that mischievous grin from earlier in the night.

Before Lyra had a chance to react, Jace moved in quick, wrapped both of his arms around her, placed his hands on her booty, and gave her a heft into the air to hold her up and closer, smirking at her with this playful, lustful, fun loving grin, "Oh yes? Make myself at home huh? I do happen to like that idea..." he blew a little kiss at her as he held her, adding a slight wink, all in an attempt to make her giggle or laugh.

While there was no time for Lyra to react, she saw him coming at her. She braced herself for it, and then couldn't stop the giggles that erupted from her when he scooped her up the way he did. Naturally she was very much so aware of those hands on her backside, but she kept her focus forward, on him and this rekindled closeness between them.

"You'll come to find that I do have the best of ideas." she told him in response, still giggling just a little through her words. Her fingers once again found their way into his hair, and she raked them through his locks slowly. That grin of his made her bite down on her lower lip, but it did nothing to hide the smile she was trying to suppress with the gesture.

He leaned in, kissing the nape of her neck lightly, purring against her skin from the feeling of her hands in his hair, he had seen her little smile and it made his heart race, he wanted this moment to last forever as he moved so that they could be on the couch, snuggled together and doing whatever it was they both wanted to do this night, so long as it meant they where together. Before his butt could hit the sweet, he smirked a little, giving Lyra's a gentle squeeze as well as a nip on the neck, just below her ear, then he sat, having her straddling him like earlier in the night, grinning ear to ear, "Well that's better, much more comfortable."

From this position, his hands slowly slid up her back, following the arch along either side of her spine, each moment slow, as if he was trying to remember exactly how every inch of her body felt.

She felt fire scorch through her veins when she felt his lips against the skin of her neck. Like most, Lyra had a sensitivity to the skin there, and she made a soft, pleased sound. She fit against him far too well, and now that she had the time she could really pay attention to the fact. The squeeze to her backside distracted her, but only until he had sat down fully and she was settled against him once again.

Then Lyra's attention was on the way she fit against him once again. The curve of her body fit seamlessly against his, and she made an appreciative sound as she gazed down between the two of them - still without taking her fingers out of his hair.

The seal between their bodies was broken temporarily as her back arched against his hands. It was probably the most intimate touch she had ever felt, and yet it was still (mostly) innocent.

The way Lyra moved under Jace's touch, and the sounds she made brought a smile to his face. He closed his eyes as he continued to run his hands up her back slow and steady, then with the same even and slow pace, started to move them back down, in his mind he was almost making a drawing of this, keeping the feel of her in his mind.

He slowly opened his eyes to see the look on her face, the softest of sounds made at the feel of her body pressed so close to his own, thoughts and ideas flickered through his mind on how this could be better, but he kept it to himself, he wanted things to progress naturally, but that didn't stop him from slipping his hands under the back of her shirt, once again slowly moving up, but this time with skin on skin contact.

At some point, Lyra's eyes had slid closed as well, and she exhaled a soft, slow breath from being touched this way. It wasn't rushed, it wasn't heated or desperate, and it wasn't drunk or sloppy either. It was comfortable, enticing, and it made her aware of every inch of skin that was touched above fabric. So when Jace slipped a hand beneath the fabric of her shirt to touch the skin beneath, Lyra's breath hitched.

She blinked her eyes open, but her focus didn't return to his face. Instead she was concentrated on the way his hands felt against her skin. It had been on thing against her thigh earlier in the club, but this was a much more intimate touch. The slight roughness of his hands in contrast to the soft skin of her back. Lyra shivered lightly, and her gaze finally found his, briefly, before she leaned in to kiss him.

He smiled at her as their gazes met, also leaning in to kiss when he realized what she was up to, his lips meeting with hers, gently at first, then started to press in tighter, it was as if with every second they touched he craved and needed her more, and so here he was pulling her into a tight and passionate kiss. Both hands had made their way under her shirt in this time lightly moving and tracing her back and sides, a soft purr or moan here and there at how good she felt under his touch, he was hooked now, that was for sure, and he didn't want to miss a single thing when it came to Lyra, he wanted it all.

Lyra had meant for the kiss to stay soft, to remain contained and easy. Something simple but warm, to match the pace of his touches against her skin. She should have known that it wouldn't stay that way. The moment Jace had leaned in, Lyra felt a fresh wave of heat race through her, and her fingers tightened in his hair in response. She leaned in, eagerly meeting the growing pace of the kiss, and not only inviting but returning the passion that was soaked into what had started as such a simple gesture.

It wasn't fair, this immediate way he affected her so very thoroughly. And yet here Lyra was, not complaining about it or wanting to change it a wit.

The tightening of her fingers, and the matched passion brought out a light playful growl from his throat. He hadn't really intended to get so far into this kiss, he just couldn't help himself when it came to her, it made him realize his earlier comment was wrong, he'd never felt anything like this before, now more than ever, he realized what it meant for the soul to burn with passion and desire, and how it took the right person to ignite that flame. Lyra was that person for Jace it seemed, and he found himself glad of that.

He shifted slightly against her, going for more comfort while trying to keep her close, he hated when ever any distance formed between them, which one part found concerning, and another found relaxing. Whatever the case may be of this in the long run, he knew he wanted her all to himself and desired her more than any being that had ever been in his life before.

Having Jace shift against her, even if it was slight, caused Lyra to gasp softly into their kiss. With the blood in her veins heated, it made her body admittedly sensitive, and having the man seated beneath her shift against her? It did all sorts of things to her in reaction. It also caused her to break the kiss, if only for a moment, so that she could rest her forehead against his and breathe.

The pair of them were most certainly on the same page, and while neither of them had said a word indicating as such, Lyra was definitely aware that Jace wanted more just as much as she did. Her hands freed themselves from his hair, but didn't go far, and she rest them against either side of his face instead. "This is crazy..." she breathed out at him, and her thumbs brushed against his his cheeks before she leaned in to merely brush her lips against his.
