There was an explossion further down the corridor and Weiss just hoped it was from one of theirs. On both sides of the corridor his soldiers ahd formed temporary barricades to fend from the seemingly endless trail of battle droids marching their way.

"Short bursts! Dont overheat!" he roared over the fire as he himself switched his rifle to burst fire.

Three plasma shoots found its way straight in the the chest of an attacker and it felt good. But to his left and right he saw how they were loosing ground.
Thoughts on retreat started to appear, but to where could they retreat? They were surrounded.

Squad Echo advanced further into the facility, carefully and slowly but it was only a matter of time before they ran into the droid security forces. Guarding a few cyro tubes were several droids. Squad Echo was still green and this was the first time they would face non organic opposition but the sergeant decided to take up the challenge. There was only so much the squad was able to improve without a bit of variety then and now.

On their sergeant’s orders, Squad Echo opened fire on the droids. However, most of the bolts deflected off the droids armour to the annoyance and stress of the squad and their sergeant. "Kark! The droids have anti-blaster plating. We need to engage in close quarters combat, prepare your swords." The man ordered the squad.

Close quarters combat was Sofia's greatest weakness. She had spent so much time polishing her gun related skills, she had neglected her combat skills in other areas and that was something she was going to pay for momentarily.

"Kark," Sofia muttered to herself under her breath as she drew her sword.

Location: Infiltrating the facility.
Allies: Krenis Skirata DS-772 CT-504 Sofia Annesley [member="Weiss"]
Assets: Saber Team and one squad of Republic Medical troopers.

There was absolutely no light in the corridor the squad of six men sat in, ahead of another six Republic medics that were preparing to set up for casualty collection. Yet, the six commandos could see it all. They knew the location of Colonel [member="Weiss"], his men, and the enemy. Being special forces comes with the perks of the best intelligence the Republic has to offer, and they used it well.

"Charges set.." A voice crackled through the comms system.

"Set breach." The Sergeant's own voice came through

"Yes Sir."

All Valkren could see was the outlines of his other five squadmates as the squeezed themselves against the wall near the door, he shifted his helmet-covered face over to Michaels, their demolitions expert and main engineer. "Go." As soon as Calderon muttered those words into his squad's comm system, a white and red mix of fire and shrapnel plumed up inbetween the set of six men, the door they were surrounding had been pushed in with several thermal detonators, fashioned just right so that they take the door from the frame, and not make the explosion spread too much. As the door fell forward into the corridor, Valkren's blood was already pumping as he turned the corner, attempting to lift his 'Valor' assault rifle up to meet any approaching hostiles. Instead of meeting approaching hostiles, expected from several corridors down, they jumped straight into a squad of good ole' battledroids. "Clankers!" O'Connor yelled out as they all flooded into the building, making for a nasty bit of hand to hand. The word 'clankers' made the Sergeant think much about the clones they were here to free. Saber team was one of the last Republic commando teams that actually did not consist of clones, and Valkren preferred it that way.

Valkren met his first opponent by simply lifting his right fist up and using his momentum to carry a heavy-hitting swing. The droid's head was knocked clean off. The body stood there for several moments, leveling it's blaster rifle randomly into the mess of CQB operations. Valkren turned back around, backing up as he leveled his own rifle, firing several three-round bursts of bolts into the group, taking his aim very carefully. O'Riley and O'Connor both came out swinging after Valkren, lifting their rifles and using them as clubs against a trio of battledroids. "Heads up!" O'Connor ducked as Young took a pot shot at an approaching droid with his side arm. The intelligence specialist had gone with a more closer approach, switching out his light weaponry for two sidearms and a scattergun that was hanging from his chest rig. Michaels was the smarter one in that situation, surprisingly for once, he had let his weapons dangle from their slings and had ripped the machete-sized vibroblade from his supply pack, hacking and stabbing at the closest droids he could, throwing the life-less corpses into groups of other droids as he went.

Valkren took a bounding few steps as he started to lead the advance down the corridor, even past their own fighting, he could hear his allies only a few corridors down. He could also see the mass of Republic and Droid bodies up ahead, it looked like a slaughter..They had to move fast. He took several more moving shots at an approaching two droids, luckily the clankers were just as dumb as a cleaning-droid. The two droids fell easily, letting him advance to the next piece of cover.

"Colonel [member="Weiss"], we're about two corridors from your location, moving to you now, how are you holding up?" Valkren was caught off guard as his eyes gazed over from behind his visor. From the path that they had to go down to approach the Colonel's men, approaching two rolling balls of fury. Droidikas, or 'Destroyer' Droids. "Saber team! Blitz!" Valkren yelled out as he took off on a full-on sprint, leaving his rifle behind so he had more movement. As the droids rolled closer, Valkren found O'Connor directly behind him, taking up his commands on a previously planned formation that they had made just for Destroyer droids. As the droids finally rolled to a halt, attempting to get their weaponry in place and put that damned shield up that they always do, Valkren simply threw the mass of his body into the droid on the right, this was a risky strategy, but luckily droidekas only operated in pairs usually. That way Saber team wouldn't have to risk that much man power to destroy the two hostiles. The large droid before his crumpled under the sheer mass and force from Valkren's leap. As they tumbled to the ground, the Republic soldier ripped his side arm from it's holster and unloaded into the main core of the unit. As he continuously fired into it until his weapon clip was dry, he looked to see that O'Connor had already finished off the other one. He smirked in the midst of his panting, he truly commanded the best of the best. He wouldn't have his team any other way but this.

Now it was time to finish the fight.

Blasterbolts flew forth and back as Weiss and his troppers fought a slow but loosing battle.

"For the Republic!" was sounded over the intercom. the droids showed no mercy and there seemed to be no point in raising the white flag.

Alebiet, at the most darkest of hours there came the voice of hope in the form of [member="Valkren Calderon"]

"Are we glad to hear a friendly down here!" Weiss answered.

"We are pinned down at the southern control room. No way out. Witht he temporary barricades I estimate that we can hold out for another hour, tops...." then the transmission was caught short by an explossion.

Weiss looked around. the soldiers were tired but still fighting.

"Give em hell! The cavalry is on its way!" he roared drawing on whatever fighting spirit there was left in the men and woman around him.

Transportation wasn't so easy. The one that Kay had arrived on was already gone. Typical. But what could one expect when there was fighting going on? It wasn't as though anyone not wanting to take part in the battle would stick around.

She headed over to one of the dockmasters. "Hey...Anymore transports arriving? I need to get to Commoner as soon as possible."

"No Miss. Check the next one five kilometres east. Better hurry though."

"Thanks, sir." Five kilometres? That would take her almost an hour to walk there. Maybe if she jogged it wouldn't take longer than a half hour. Kay huffed to herself and secured her satchel before starting her jog, eyeing the skies. The last thing that she needed was to miss all the transports and to try to find a fighter to hitch a ride in.

More ships were leaving the area. In the far distance, a battle could be heard. This just wasn't fair. And it was silly. And embarrassing. Kay stopped jogging and took a moment to catch her breath. An idea struck her. Maybe instead of hoping for a ride, she could send for one?

She brought out her datapad from her satchel and started it up, going through her contacts. Many of them weren't a good fit for such a task. But then she spotted someone that could work. Quickly she sent out a message to [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] .

-"Joshua...It's Kay. I'm in...a bit of a bind. A transport vessel dropped me off at the wrong location. Don't ask....Are you near Stenness to be able to come and pick me up? I have a few kilometres to get to the nearest port and I'm not sure if there'll be a ride for me or not."-

She tucked her datapad under her arm as she brought out her water bladder and took a drink. Hopefully she'll get a message soon.

Keeping her head low, she threw himself into the brawl. The gang members were literally fighting blind, their eyes screwed shut and streaming tears. This didn't stop them from firing their weapons, however. Blaster fire pinged and ricocheted around the room.

Corvus glided through the forest of arms and legs, allowing the Force to tell her when to raise her lightsaber to deflect fire. She sensed that the rival gang was moving steadily toward the Hutt, trying to get to her before she escaped.

The barrage of fire was constant, shrieking by her ears and filling the room with more sparks and heat. Electrojabbers waved in the air, and she saw one land by accident on another member of the gang who was firing his blaster rifle in the air. The gang member went down, his legs paralyzed for a good two hours or more. He managed to drag himself away from a Phlog who was stomping toward the blaster fire, swinging a vibroax. Screams and battle cries filled the air.

It was a demonstration of sloppy fighting, Corvus judged. The Hutt's gang might be large and fierce, but it certainly wasn't organized. The attacking soldiers were more efficient, moving slowly but surely toward the corner where the Hutt had been. Now the smoke was so thick it was impossible to tell where she had gone.

The Sergeant stiffed up for a brief moment as he slipped back into the cover of an already torn-apart corridor wall. He took a glance back at the chaos that was his own men fighting hand-to-metal with the droids. He simply watched as Watson had grabbed a pair of yellow tinted battledroids by their neckplating, and was preparing to send them airborne with his pure strength. His men were doing well, very well. Too well. The majority of the droid forces still had to be focused on [member="Weiss"]'s men, which gave his small team of commandos the advantage for the time being. Valkren slipped out of cover once more after retrieving his own blaster, shouldering it firmly against his plating as he continued to take several pot shots, switching between pieces of cover.

As he retracted once more into a demolished pillar, he yelled out into his communications system for his assault specialists. "O'Connor, O'Riley! Guns up!" Directly following this order, he'd pull himself back out of cover onto a knee, firing ahead to provide cover. Young, Watson, and Michaels all did the same, advancing a few pieces of cover ahead of the two assault specialists to provide them cover as they unloaded their Z-6 Rotary cannons. It was a quick and simple procedure, but they needed space to get it from each others supply packs and get the barrels spinning up, so the team had to take the agro away from them.

The fight had now shifted once more, the battledroids took into factor that there were new hostiles in the area, as the previous squad they had just jumped into was now cleaned out by the commando's proficient hand-to-hand combat. The commandos were now focusing ahead toward one choke point, attempting to get the attention of many of the droids, and it was working. As more and more of them began to turn away from [member="Weiss"]'s men on the side Saber team was approaching from, the two assault specialists stepped up. "Heads up!" O'Connor yelled as he lugged around the cannon, already spun up. The two assault specialists began to meet the droid's hail of fire with their own.

"Weiss, attempt to move your wounded now! We have a path! Give us your mission and we'll finish it sir! You know we can!" Valkren said as a bolt slammed across his shoulder plate. "Damn..Startin' this again?"

As cowardly as it seemed, Sofia tried to avoid combat while landing the occasional hit on the droids. With a gun in hand, her fears were few but while weilding a sword, Sofia was very afraid. She knew her own weakness too well and only struck the droids when she was sure of her own safety.

Squad Echo slashed away at the driods, gradually dwindling their numbers. Once the droids became nothing more than bits of metal scattered on the ground, members of the Squad begun to unfreeze some of the clone troopers.

As expected, many of the unfrozen clone troopers were stiff in their movement having not moved for many years. They would have to be escorted out of the facility. The Sergent spilt the squad in half, assigning one group to escorting the clones out and the other to continue into the facility. Sofia was assigned to those who were responsible for escorting the clones out much to her relief. She did not like to cryo facility one bit and was excited to be out of it, even if it was only for a brief period of time.

Weiss took a hit in the shoulder plate and spun around, tripping and tumbling to the floor. His armor had taken the most of the hit but he was starting to feel the fatigue. He was tired, so tired...

Then he heard his com spark to life.
[member="Valkren Calderon"] had arrived.

With an effort he pressed himself to a standing position again.

"Copy that!" he answered then turned to his second.

"I want two fire teams moving, wounded in between! Alpha first, then Delta!"

"We got a window and dont let it shut down." he flung his pistol from its holster and used his free arm to support a wounded comrade.

The battered marine set out, charging down the plasma filled corridor.
[member="Valkren Calderon"] stood by his word though and as they passed him Weiss offered a tired but very grateful nod.

They would make it.

"Good luck, the control room need to be secured in order to shut these droids down." he pointed from where they had come.

"Its imperative that they cant reach it or they will kill the clones in their wombs..."

he gave his colleague a second appreciative glance before medics grabbed him and his men for extraction.

The Sergeant simply nodded as [member="Weiss"] and the remains of his unit passed through the broken line of droids that Saber team has created, his face not visible due to the shimmering blue visor, and helmet that covered all of his features. He looked back ahead as his two assault specialists, O'Connor and O'Riley, slowly advanced forward toward the control room, their Z-6 rotary canons glowing red with heat due to the constant fire. He stood up, in plain view of the enemy, they were now creating their own hail of bolts to fend off the almost endless lines of droids. Now that they had added another threat to the security system, it was replying to the commando's with their own special units. Commando droids.

Droids that had been specially manufactured by the old Separatists to combat clones in the old clone wars, a very rare sight in this time and day. Good thing Saber team didn't consist of a single clone, they were much better, in the opinion of Valkren.

tumblr_n3zz4igRuw1qibhi9o2_500.gif

The commando droids were deployed in smaller groups or squads, they could possibly be the best match for Saber Team. They were much more self-aware, and seemed to be perfectly adapted to Saber team's style of fighting. The group of five droids rushed through the lines of the simply battledroids, cutting right through to the control room. The Sergeants' eyes widened as he realized that they were going for the clones. "Saber, blitz!" Calderon yelled the familiar order once more as he took off into the lead, shouldering a battledroid and flipping it over his shoulder as he picked up speed. This was the moments they were trained for..Last second decisions to make sure the mission objective is secure, no matter the pain inflicted or the casualties sustained. Young holstered both of his blasters, ripping two EMP detonators from his tactical belt, activating them and throwing them down towards the left corridor as the group ran. "Grenade out!" The two ball-like detonators went off after rolling past a squad of droids, spreading their blue wire-like electricity through the circuits of all droids near by. This took out a solid chunk, but there were still more battledroids being deployed. As they ran through the hail of blue and red bolts, all six men were taking small skims and hits on their plating. Luckily nothing pierced the plating or under-thermal itself. As they grew closer to the control room, with the main force of the droids behind them, the five specialized droids were already inside, with one at the door, operating it's controls. As the door began to close, O'Connor slid into a crouching position, pushing his rotary cannon inbetween the door and the frame.

As the door came to a close, it crushed the cannon, leaving it absolutely destroyed. However, this cause the door to open back up again, letting Saber team pile through another door once more. They rushed in, with Young blasting the door control on the way. Saber team spread out immediately as the door shut behind them, giving them abit of time away from the main unit of battledroids; yet, now they would have to deal with the commando droids.

"Keep 'em away from the consoles!" Valkren yelled as he found cover, turning back toward the droids and exchanging fire with them. It'd be one helluva' firefight in this small room.

Seconds ticked by and still there was no reply back from [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] sadly. No doubt he was busy with the other Jedi, saving lives and helping others. So that meant that Kay was on her own and had to help herself.

She took one more gulp of her water before placing it and her datapad back into her satchel. Once her bag was secured over her shoulders, she started jogging towards the next port. At least she was about halfway there, so there was a chance that she might be able to hitch a ride. But first thing's first. She needed to get there.

As it turned out, that wasn't the case at all. Actually, there had simply been a delay in his getting the call, and Lady Kay was one thing that a Jedi was not - impatient. Even better, he was on his ship currently as well, the defender-class light corvette, The Final Dragon. While late, he would still take the message. After hearing it, he would check his map, and smile as he would note he was nearby.

Before long, the communicator of [member="Lady Kay"] was going off, and when she would answer, he would respond.

"Hey sweetheart, I'm not too far, actually. I can come get you if you like. Can you find the nearest spaceport? If not, I'll go to whatever coordinates you send me" He would respond as he would call back to R4. "R4! Stenness Moon! Step on it! Well... If droids can step! You know what I mean!"

He looked back at Kay on the hologram and waited for instructions.

Was there a beeping coming from her satchel? In between her heavy breathing due to her jogging, as she wasn't in the top most physical form, Kay honed in on the sound. Yup. There it was. She stopped jogging and picked out her datapad from her satchel. There he was, her hero [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] . Better late than never.

She listened to the message and then replied with her own, "I think that I'm about two kilometres out, but I'll be there in about ten minutes. Keep in mind that there's a battle on the other side. Just trace this message and you'll find out where I'm headed. Thanks Joshua."

Kay waited for a reply and if there wasn't one, she'd just put her datapad away and continue jogging to the port.

Sareen guided the Lambda-Class Shuttle through the outer atmosphere of the moon. His sensors could pick up the battle below, irrelevant to his mission, but still an event to be mindful of. It seemed like he would pass through unnoticed, but just because of Hunter's caution, he turned on the camouflage capabilities of his personal shuttle. The ship soared through the skies as it descended to only half a kilometer above the moon's surface. As the shuttle flew, Sareen exited the cockpit into the cargo hold, where he kept his weaponry. His armor was already fixated on his body, but he equipped his D-18 blasters, and DC-19 carbine, his lightsaber already clipped to his belt. He attached the Carbon trap to his belt and two thermal detonators, and primed the shock whip hidden beneath his gauntlet. Sareen opened the cargo hold and launched all three of his seeker droids, tasked with finding [member="Lady Kay"].

Sareen hissed at the mere thought of her name, she had many times escaped Sareen, but now he had found her, thanks to the holonet stating her diplomatic mission. Foolish Republic, but no matter, she was his prey once again. He waited as the air flew violently threw the cargo hold as the Lambda continued it's journey, his stature as straight as a skyscraper. Only after a few minutes did one of the seekers find her, alone. Sareen laughed, "Now you are mine sssenator." Sareeen communicated some commands to the cockpit, telling it to fly to the coordinates transmitted by the seeker droid. He then recalled the seeker droids, so they might aid Sareen if there is some unforeseen defense by the politician. Sareen could not wait for the hunt, because it was now coming to a close, with himself on top.

Kay continued her jog until she needed a break again. She rested against a building as she brought out her water bladder and had a gulp of water. Two kilometres felt longer than she thought! More transports were leaving, but no matter. [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] was coming.

Just then a smaller movement caught her eye. Was that a seeker droid flying away? A cold chill ran down her spine. Surely hunters wouldn't be after her here? She was outside of Hutt Space! But that didn't stop some from attempting to capture her on Bakura....

She put her water away and looked inside of her satchel, digging through the contents of food rations, tea supplies, datapad, commlinks and spare clothes. Finally she found her small blaster and pulled it out. It was set to stun like always. Kay closed her eyes for a moment as she forced out a breath. Should she continue to run for the port and wait for Joshua there? Or wait and see if she was spied upon? She voted for the ladder. Turning around, she found a door to the restaurant nearby and headed towards it, slipping inside. It was near empty due to the hour which was good enough for her. She took up a seat at a small table in view of the window, keeping her eye on the street to watch and see if she was just being paranoid.

Sareen jumped down from the shuttle, cracking the pavement beneath his claws as he landed. These were the coordinates given by his seeker droid only a few minutes earlier. The three droids floated behind him, beginning a scan of the surrounding area. She could not have gone far, and Sareen began his own scan, he knew her scent well, and before the droids could locate her, he had the scent. He primed the carbontrap, and cocked the DC-19, and began to move towards the scent, canceling the droid's scan. The shuttle left Sareen's area, heading towards an unpopulated, unurbanized area of the moon.

He slowly stepped in his armor, making little sound. His snout followed the scent, breathing in every particle. Sareen had found her, he could see her heat signature with his infrared vision. Sareen wanted to meet her upfront, something nice and loud, Sareen liked nice and loud. Local authorities could kiss his saber if they wanted to mess with him, and her Republic allies were on the other side of the moon. He went around the front of the building, just so she could see him through the window. He holstered the DC-19 and whipped out his D-18s and firing laser bolts shattering the window, purposelly avoiding [member="Lady Kay"]. The fun was about to begin.

There he was. [member="Sareen Zar"] . It had been many, many months since she had seen him last. And on that last encounter she had many friends with her. But now she was on her own, with [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] close by. But was the Jedi close enough?

Then he drew his weapons and fired, the laser bolts shattering the glass, causing Kay to shield her face with her arms. Bits of glass cut through her clothing and skin, but it was tempered glass, so the edges weren't as sharp as they could be.

She lowered her arms and stared right into Sareen's eyes. So the hunt was on and he was toying with her, a display of his ferociousness followed by a pause. No doubt he was waiting to see what she would do. Kay brought up her blaster and opened fire, the stun bolts aimed for his head. She let out four quick bursts, knowing that they would probably have little effect before she got up from the chair and hurried into the kitchen at the back of the restaurant. She picked up a ladle and used it to jam the doorhandles shut. It probably wouldn't last long. She then took her datapad out of her satchel and quickly recorded a message for Joshua. "HELP!! Bounty hunter!!! Restaurant!!" Kay sent it off, sliding it into her satchel and then grabbed a big cast iron frying pan from the pot rack above. She turned to face the door, keeping a countertop in between herself and the door. Here's hoping that cast iron works as good as armour.

Sareen whiplashed his head back and snarled at the strike of one of the stun blasts, only angering him more. Sareen let her flee to the kitchen, cornering herself. This would be the easiest 500,000 credits he would have earned in his life. The Trandoshan holstered his side-arms, and strolled towards the kitchen door she had headed into. Sareen tried to push open the doors, realizing it had been blocked in some way, he in a split second move unhooked his lightsaber form it's place on his belt, ignited it and sliced through the handles. Sareen kicked open the door with his clawed foot, bursting into laughter as he whipped his right gauntlet, releasing and igniting the shock whip in his other hand.

Seeing [member="Lady Kay"], Sareen lashed the whip at her, in attempts to shock her into unconsciousness and wrap her in the glowing whip. He clipped the light saber back onto his waist, letting his whip do all the work. Sareen would not hold back until his prey submitted, and he enjoyed every second of it.

By the Force.... [member="Sareen Zar"] has a lightsaber! She tightened her grip on both the blaster and the cast iron pan as Sareen stormed in. Thankfully he put the saber away, but the shock whip was another contender all together. At least she had the counter in between them. Kay ducked down behind it as he cracked the whip in her direction. This was not looking good.

As he drew back the whip, Kay popped up and fired three quick bursts, aiming at his face again. "Couldn't we talk about this?!" A delaying tactic. She needed to find a way out of this. At least in the kitchen she wasn't without resources, but still, they might not be enough.
