Where better to meet a Padawan?

She looked at her. "Well I don't have any kids clothing to wear so I am all for wearing our robes. They are plain enough and designed to look normal. Hiding the lightsabers will be ore helpful and allow us to blend in with the others kind of. In some cases it might be harder. If we had party outfits and with some midriff bearing clothing." Krass was looking at it and wearing the silver robes with their silver and black look would offer them protection itself as well as the ability to modify them little so that they would be able to better handle it. "We can remove the capes from the robes and hide out sabers so it looks like we have a bodysuit instead of just being there for any of the activities."

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel nodded, “Robes it is then. And if we ensure our sabers are hidden, it just looks as though we are wearing fairly standard, after all. They don’t exactly have a Jedi logo emblazoned on the back and so we should be able to blend in.”

At the thought of baring her midriff, Sorel wrinkled her nose. “And although I wouldn’t describe my robes as a bodysuit, they are utilitarian enough not to stand out too much. Surely not everyone walks around half-naked or wearing spandex?”

Krass looked at her master with that last part of what she said and there was some ideas. "No not everyone but in many cases I would say clothing you wouldn't wear in many other places across the galaxy." she said it while she was going over at many of the other things they had here. She had a grin when the ship was coming out of hyperspace above the party planet itself. Krass turned in the seat and was giving the codes to the landing pads until the one attached to where they were going chimed back sending them the coordinates and where they would be moving forward to go and check everything out. Krass was looking at it and getting her saber into a hidden area she could use for it with a small look on her face. Bringing the ship down when the sensors were all around saying where they had pheromones in the air and other chemicals that were standard on the planet. Krass was looking at her master and she had all of her things here where they could look and go. With signs all around for them for different districts and clubs until she was going down the ladder itno the cargo hold to let them go out. "Lets go and have some fun or whatever we might be able to find."

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel was impressed with Krass’ piloting skills and told her so. Many Padawans were ace pilots but had limited knowledge elsewhere. Krass on the other hand had a good blend of skills and none of the abilities she demonstrated would be found wanting by even the toughest of critics.

As they descended, a chill ran over Sorel. It was one thing to say you’d visit this hedonistic planet but quite another to actually set foot on the surface. In truth, Sorel was not sure what to expect or how to react to the partygoers below. It was odd. If she were going into a Rancor’s den she would be more relaxed. She surmised it said a lot about who she was and where her own strengths and weaknesses lay.

Finally they landed and Sorel followed Krass from the cockpit. “Fun. Indeed,” was all she said, and her face suggested that enjoying herself was the furthest thing from her mind.

Krass looked at her mmaster as she felt a small change in her aura for a moment. Staying there she was not one to turn down a chance for a party going planet where she would be able to really help people and get to see what kind of spirits they might have with the whole alcohol front. Her meads and her equipment on her robes as she was walking. There were some jedi walking around and some ranger's who were working like look outs and security here on the landing pad. The massive and impressive club itself that they were able to use in the back dind't look as impressive but the front of it she could see the ligts and everythign there. Though the area and opening the bay doors to head out the sounds of music. The smell of everything from perfumes, spices, food and people were there. The pheromones gave a scent of roses around her when she looked off walking. "This isn't so bad so far."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel once again considered her bracelet and if its ability to filter toxins included pheromones. She suspected not, as she was as susceptible to moods and emotions as the next person – even if they were internally created.

She hoped that keeping her wits about her and avoiding any alcohol or drugs would be in her favour.

So as they walked, Sorel was on edge – but not so much that she failed to notice what was going on around them. She spotted the Jedi and Rangers and took in the club as they approached it.

“So far, I’d agree with you,” Sorel responded. “But I’ll take each minute as it comes.”

Krass looked at her master there for a moment until they thought about it with a grin on her face. Heading into Karatos for a moment as the sounds of the club came with the open door. Some fo the jedi were there as they were being led around the wall to move and get into the backrooms. There was a look on her face though when Krass saw some of the zeltrons and the Lirans who were going around here. Where they wanted to go around with some of it. She could see the dancers going forward and around, with a few of the other jedi who were there at the door before going in. She could feel the vibrations of the club practically and there was asmall room where children were playing and getting a chance to test their own skills. With the watchman there testing them before she could se other jedi investigators around it allowing them to show different areas of the planet with districts for the security forces.

If the ambient sound was loud currently, it paled into insignificance once the door was opened. The volume was enough to affect your concentration and the type of music was – well not to Sorel’s tastes. Not that she was an aficionado of contemporary culture, but she knew what she liked and this wasn’t it.

And then she realised that as well as the noise, the sound was causing the floor to vibrate and entering the building felt less and less something she wanted to do voluntarily. But she assured herself she’d faced worse and so she strode forward and noted that inside was less like a club and more like an Academy – albeit a very noisy one.

So she took a sharp intake of breath and said to Krass, “After you.”

Krass waited for a time as she got the doors closed and they were setting it up. The music became more muffled with a look on her face at her master when they could see it. The back was like the temples for sure compard ot the others and some of the dancers who were going around showed small recording devices in the hardlight outfits they were wearing. As the engineers switched things out and Krass spoke going into one of the rooms. "Watchwoman Andrews." The jedi was standing there and her features as a zeltron was there before Krass got to see all of them standing around. "It is good to see the two of you. We don't have many jedi come here that aren't investigators." She said it while walking around the room and bringing up the different displays. "We have been working to keep track of the various gangs here and a number of the dangerous beings on the planet." She had many more things to show them as screens with audio logs, images and charts for everything that they were keeping track of.

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel was relieved when they reached the less noisy part of the building. It wasn’t just like a Jedi temple, but it was a lot more like it than the areas she’d already seen. And she could sense a lot of light siders around them, and that felt reassuring at least.

She bowed to Watchwoman Andrews and introduced herself. “I am Sorel and thank you for your hospitality. And we may not be standard investigators, but that is the reason we are here. My Padawan here will be taking the lead for the time we are here, so I will let her take it from here.”

Sorel was looking at her master if they were getting seomthing that worked out well and she could see alot more of the other people here. The jedi were giving a lot of direction for them to check out and see with the watchwomen was there so that she would be able to better invest in a few of the improved places where they could start on it. "Well that is fine, we have been working on many of the things here, working with everyone so that we can chart, mark, see the command structure of where they would be able to find ways to bring them down and make everythig stick." Krass was uncertain about some of the things that they would be able to understand it. She could see the charts of command structure where they might be able to work on it with addresses and images of all the people they had to use. "It looks like they have been making a lot more progress." The woman was looking at them with a nod of her head. "Yes we have jedi dancers who are able to gather information and several undercover aganets across the planet in different positions. While we work with the authorities to keep up all looks on the surface. We have been coordinating with them ways to bring down entire gangs at once instead of trying to pick them and let them alert each other."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel had to supress a combined look of humour and horror at the thought of operating as an undercover Jedi dancer! Not once had she even considered saying no to an assignment, but the prospect of dancing, scantily clad, on a planet rampant with pheromones? This would possibly be a mission too far – even for her.

“Your work here is exemplary,” Sorel commented, keen to divert her brain away from its current train and towards their goal again. “And will be most useful in our efforts.”

She turned to Krass. “So, my Padawan, where should be interface first? Do we aim for the head of the beast,” she indicated the top of the criminal structure, “Or start lower down? Each has merits and drawbacks.”

Hmm Sorel brought up a point and there was alot of work here. If they were just going to pick and choose where they wanted to go. "Which investigations are the closet to being ready?" She was looking at it and there wasn't much reason why they should jump the gun to get the easiest when they could give that initiative and work to a final push on some of the gangs here. The watchwoman was looking at them and sifted then brought up another gang of Liren and Zeltron that had made a genetic lab. "We have been closing the prep work for taking down a more advanced level of criminal. Compared to regular drug, weapon and contraband smuggling These Liren engineers have been making more potent essence of zeltros that can be used to mask what they are really smuggling. the pheromones extract also plays havoc with sensors."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel listened to Krass’ line of questioning and was genuinely impressed. The regular nod of her head told anyone present that she approved. And she kept quiet, resisting any urge to jump in with an idea or prompt. This was to be Krass’ mission and Sorel was her to assist, not take over.

“So, what do you think? Is that a good place to start – and if so, what would be our first steps?”

Krass was looking at her master and she was thinking about it. Something like this shoulnd't be done lightly as they were coordinating and making something that was a big part of the galaxy. Interest checks and everything for them so that they would be able to do. "Hmm well we can't make it something obvious, we need to be able to take them down at once, without a chance for others to be alerted and need to make sure that everything information wise is contained. It needs to seem like it was discovered though other means then a large case and place that could alert other gangs and criminals." She had a small problem here, where they could unravel a lot if they were not careful but there was no doubt ways that they had been working on for it. Ways to preserve the integrity of it and what would be going before she spoke. We should set up for the main units to go after major locations and stash houses. Whatever they hve that is product and evidence then get the people in a sweep on the street or int he clubs."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel nodded at Krass’ logic and then posed a question. “It is a fine balance between a large coordinated action and making it appear as though it was not part of a large case. Did you have a suggestion for this?”

“But regardless, your thought process is impeccable and I concur, best to take them out in one go, rather than try to cut off one tentacle at a time. What we have to ensure is that the local Jedi are ready to deal with the vacuum it leaves. Rarely does a crime syndicate go down and a huge hole is left behind. Someone invariably looks to fill it. They either need to keep a close eye on such a move – or we need to make our action so severe that nobody wants to fill the void.”

The watchwomen looked at Sorel. "We've worked out with the governments and local business owners. A way to fill the void with something more legit and cheaper. It is not perfect but it will also work and give a chance to ease the void taking away different gangs will leave. Medical clinics providing care for spice addicts, we have droid shops to work on replacing slavers markets. Some things we won't be able to replace even with legit means and help from the government itself but we can make the progress. As a way where we will help the people who need it without some of the dangers that come from criminal elements." She was showing some of the things that would coordinate and Krass was getting a better idea of the scope they might be able to do. THis was something the jedi could do to fill the voids of cutting out gangs and syndicates in the short term while the government prepares something though given how eltros was she was curious if it would hold. "Alright then, we'll go after them and see how it goes, if it can work here then this might work on other worlds as a means to clean them up."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel nodded at the watchwoman’s ingenuity. Filling a criminal void with legitimate activity was a perfect way to stop any syndicate moving in. Not only did it satisfy the need the crooks would have left behind, but it gave hope to many and that was a great way of dissuading criminals to enter the market. They fed off hopelessness and fear – this approach offered them neither.

Sorel refocused on Krass as she spoke and nodded her agreement. “That’s an excellent point, if this plan is successful, it becomes a blueprint for other worlds and we haven’t just solved one problem, we have likely created a chain reaction that could help millions. Billions even. How many Padawans can say that?”

Looking at her master as their plan and the small grin she had on her face was there. This was so very much a perfect or near perfect... it looked perfect and like it could almost be flawless in many cases. So it would all work to better improve upon them. With a few more ideas Krass was getting to see where the watchwomen was sending and setting up some information. "We have one of the teams ready, about a mile from here, the eltron authorities are prepared for a blackout when it comes to holonet connections that will stop communications for the time it takes to raid everywhere and we have what we need." Krass understood and she was prepared for it and anything that they might be able to do now. With her equipment and with her master here they would be able to join the one party and it looked like shut down a different club that was being used to deal and sell off slaves.

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel listened to all of the information and asked the occasional question about the plans in place before nodding her final approval.

“It seems as though you have everything in hand and no detail has been overlooked. With your permission, I would like to accompany Krass in the raid on the club that is used to sell the slaves. I think we would do most good there.”

And then she turned to her Padawan. “What do you think? Do you have any final questions?”
