Where better to meet a Padawan?

She was looking at her master and she understood it with a nod of her head. Getting the real idea of what they would have to do... she knew the need to practice what you were doing but you needed to be able to use and keep the skills going sharp. So guardians she knew might go out and battle creatures, that was allowed a lot more and if they were dangerous ones that harmed people in an area they got to practice without forcing or being seen as poaching. it also could provide food to the others where Krass was going with a grin on her face seeing her master as she slid her saber on her hip. "Agreed and practice will make it better, my blade can be alright for deflecting blaster shots back but it won't be as easy, cleaving into and handling some of the doorways though that will be a lot easier."

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel smiled. There was a simplicity about Krass that she liked very much. Simplicity linked to focus. She reminded the Jedi Master of herself in many ways. Too many Padawans wanted to be great at everything and this was not a likely outcome.

Sorel had learned that lesson early in her life and had adjusted her development accordingly. And although Krass sought different goals, she had a similar mind set. This meant that the role of Master in the learning relationship was a lot easier. Krass would not overextend herself and this would make her development in her chosen fields so much more in depth.

“So,” Sorel asked, “Is it time for lunch?”

Krass was thinking about it and a chance for them to be able to do it, to go around with a nod of her head. "Lunch would be good master." She had a grin on her face there while walking. Her hand went to her stomach when she rubbed sure of it. SHe needed a drink as well with her hand going to the bottle of the mead that was rich and smelled well. Krass led the way through the library here into the very large and very nice place. There was food set out in the mess hall that was buffet style for the jedi themselves that were here. She was getting a plate to look at it while the spork was there, some fo the meats, potato's and there was gravy with toasted garlic bread she could make a nice sandwich out of it.

“Lunch it is then,” Sorel said and they wandered to one of the dining areas. Given they travelled around the galaxy, meal-times were based upon the ship’s clock and not local time. The smells that greeted Sorel told her it was either lunch or dinner time – the two tended to blend into one in her experience.

She headed over to the buffet arrangement and grabbed a plate. She helped herself to a noodle dish which promised to be a little spicy. She added a small side salad and a bottle of water and headed to an empty table to wait for Krass. As she did she glanced around.

She was amazed how many people were here, eating at the same time. Typically, Sorel ate alone – either on her ship or in a training room. Communal eating was still something of a novelty to her.

And she smiled when Krass sat down. If she could have picked food for her Padawan, what she saw on her plate was precisely what she would have chosen.

Krass looked at her master to have a small look at it, the food on the spork that she was eating when she could see some of the other jedi here on the library. Unsure where they might be headed on the massive Library itself but a traveling temple had a lot of potential for going as far as you wanted to. To better improve upon a few temples or some of the places the jedi went to. "So where do you think we are headed master?" She was curious, they could be going anywhere and Sorel had her ship so really they could go off and explore any number of places in the galaxy to advance her training. Krass was curious as while her species were rude, crude and she was a drunken dwarf half the time there was something to be said about exploring the galaxy and seeing feats of engineering as well as all of the things people have made.

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel took a mouthful of the noodles and was pleasantly surprised at the heat of the dish. Enough to give a kick but not so much that her taste buds were assaulted.

As she did, she listened to Krass. “Do you mean where is this ship headed or where are we headed? As for the library, I haven’t checked its destination. I tend to arrive and leave for its facilities as opposed to its destination. So we could take pot-luck and see where we end up if we remain on board, or we can set off by ourselves. Did you have a preference?”

Hmm a preference for Krass would have to be going off to explore the galaxy finding someplace where she could sample the local spirits.... A smirk on her face when she spoke. "Hmm someplace loud. We have been in the sacred, we have been to the spiritual but.." Kras said it looking around. "Some place loud and where life is chaotic. We are jedi, we need to go to the people where problems will be and there just happens to be such a place. The jedi have a safehouse in Karatos on zeltros. We could go there and see about helping the people.... also one of the major wonders of the galaxy has to be a zeltros party." She said it with a grin on her face as they would have a place for jedi to be safe and not have to risk some of their hotels.

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel reflected on the request. Tatooine? Nar Shaddaa? Coruscant?

She was slightly surprised with the option that Krass chose. Zeltros? Sorel had met one inhabitant of the planet already and her recollections suggested it was not a place for Jedi.

Which, in an odd way, was all the more reason for them to go there. Sorel had always said that she saw the Master-Padawan relationship as one where she could learn and visiting the planet specified definitely covered that brief.

“OK, we’ll go. But a party? What would we do there?”

Well Krass knew what she would do, show those zeltrons they weren't so high and mighty in the drinking department and they would be under the table but she was guessing her master meant more jedi duties then personal ones as she spoke with a look. "Well zeltros is rife with different vices and temptations and that means there is going to be those who profit from it illegally. Crime is dangerous and in a place where people can be exploited." So they could go there and try to find some fo the dangerous gangs and other criminal elements that are trying to exploit the people. "If people are going to harm others then we should be there to try and help stop it. Keep them safe and seeing a wonder of the galaxy is also an important thing."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel nodded. Her slight prejudice against Zeltron could easily have clouded her judgement – and her Padawan was right. Where they was vice there was crime.

“We should investigate the planet as we travel, see what intelligence we have on the local crime families. But also understand the power structure. Sometimes taking down one criminal allows an even more powerful one in to take their place. Large interventions often take months of planning and high levels of resource. Our approach might just be to walk around and make a difference.”

Krass looked at her master with a nod of her head there where she could pull up a lot of it. With some thoughts though as well as some initial planning they might be able to understand it but Krass wasn't thinking a whole take down of the crime families or troubles across the planet. She should be able to get some information to just keep them handling a great deal. "That sounds the best way to work it out." She was uncertain about alll of the things that they would be able to find. Joza Perl might be one of the best but there were a few other zeltrons in the silver jedi who were helping them and providing information. She had a few ideas for them to get moving now until she walked in the library with a small grin. Bringing up the information on zeltros for them with a small look on her face to go over it. So she and her master could get onto Sorel's ship and head out.

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel did what she usually did – she uploaded the information on their destination – in this case Zeltros – and then headed for her ship. Analysis and homework was always done en route given she wanted to get back into action as soon as possible. She did not enjoy time in the library as she saw it as wasted. But time travelling was lost, so she always filled that with meditation and learning.

So they reached her ship and Sorel checked the information was available. As she headed to the cockpit, she allowed the datapad to play all pertinent information on the planet currently.

Opulent, hedonistic and famous for its art and architecture. But the former two were prominent.

Sorel wondered if her bracelet would act as a filter for the pheromones and resolved to find out before they landed.

Krass was moving towards the ship itself when they arrived and the information was downloding for her and her master. She could look over more of it and there was where they would be able to go and look when she stood in the ship. It was like a second home traveling with her master and she briefly wondered about the other padawans her master might be teaching. They would have them to contend with and get all fo the information from them but a small look was on her face as she continued onwards and forwards. Krass was getting her gear ready when she went towards the cockpit to join her master and take one of the seats so she could look while her master was sending them out and getting a chance to navigate from the hanger of the Library itself.

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel pointed at the controls. “Why don’t you take charge for this trip. Zeltros was your idea, so I think it only fair that you’re the one to get us there. It’s a basic layout in terms of controls but if there are any buttons you’re not sure of, just ask. I’ll be your co-pilot, so if you want or need me to do anything, fire away.”

“And once we’re in hyperspace, you can tell me what we should do when we get there.”

Krass getting to fly the ship should be something fun to try and do... She knew how to fly in theory but sitting there with her master at the co-pilot seat was something that they would be able to use. She was sitting there and looking at the controls of the ship while setting the course and working to get them on course for Zeltros. "Alright master." She said it with a small grin on her face though before she was heading and prepared to work with her master itself. She checked it while they were gong now towards zeltros and jumping to hyperspace. The autopilot itself was going to get them there while she turned to look at her master with a bow of her head. "I am not much of a pilot but we should be able to review and get it going well."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel sat back and observed. If Krass had any questions, or she saw her doing something that would endanger them, Sorel would speak up. But her style was to allow her Padawan space to operate and that’s precisely what she did.

“Excellent work,” she said once they were in hyperspace. “Now, Zeltros. Sooner rather than later you’re going to be a Knight. At that point you will be sent on missions of your own. So now is a good time to practise what is required. So consider the pertinent facts and propose our first steps when we land.”

“And remember, a Jedi plans to succeed first, then plans for failure. So always have a contingency plan.”

Hmm she was liking the idea of that, listening to what her master said and there was a little pride... you couldn't think or deny it there. She was thinking about it with a chance to better like the moment where they would be able to travel she was going through hyperspace when she listened to her master speaking more. About what the jedi needed to do, mindset wise they would have to make sure they prepare for success and they worry about failure later. A good mindset and she could trust her skills and the force itself. "I understand and thank you for having such faith in me." THe idea of being a jedi knight meant a lot, as far as she knew she was the first of her species to be roaming around the galaxy and one of the first who would be joining the ranks of the jedi order. She was looking at many of the things here ont he screens where they would run into danger. Krass pulled up the information while the autopilot was going. "Zeltros is mostly homes and resorts, a party and pleasure planet designed to attract the tourists of the galaxy. Compared to many places though the zeltrons themselves have not been invaded easily or often. With their pheromone rich atmosphere able to subdue many of the people."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel listened and remained quiet, nodding every now and then to show she was listening and agreed with what Krass was saying. There was an awful lot more to being a Jedi than simply waving a saber or using the Force.

Much of the time they were brokers of the peace or required to investigate strange occurrences – or simply bring down some criminals. And that required patience, planning and the application of the brain, not the Force.

Sorel would readily admit she was not an expert on planning, but she did OK with the other two. “A good summary of the planet and its people. Where do you think we should head first and why?”

"Well the safest place to go would be Karatos, it is the jedi safehouse that Matsu Ike established on the planet and looks like a harmless night club that employs freed slaves and those who want to get off of the planet but might not have the credits. It is designed to have a constant stream of new people appearing in and out of it which covers jedi coming and going." The club she had helped buidl so that the building itself was designed to look like it had no secret passages but it was made so that you could move through some of the areas they had set up. They could rest there and stay around in the back rooms where the jedi equipment was. It also served for watchmen to be around and look for some of the more force sensitive children that could be on the planet itself. "There isn't a lot there on the planet for the jedi but the building will have information and maps that we can use from the planet itself and local information about the criminals."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel was impressed with Krass’ knowledge and wondered, for a moment, if her Padawan had been to Zeltros before. But she dismissed the notion and focused on the here and now.

“An excellent cover,” Sorel agreed. “And the best place to start our search. Local knowledge is an investigator’s best friend. So, do we travel in plain clothes, or can we wear our robes?”

Sorel hoped it was the former, as she owned no civilian clothing – for she’d never had a need to wear it.
