It was quiet now. Quiet and peaceful. Something he never got.
Eternity was a long time.

A long time to enjoy the things he never got to do.

He hadn't remembered the last time he simply relaxed before it all went black.

He laid in the sun, a chair beside him, gently strumming a guitar beside him. The tune was familiar to Romi, something that tugged at the fabric of her memory. Something perhaps from her childhood, or even a passing listen to the strumming of a guitar. It was hard to place, but the notes were pleasant, jovial and quiet. The kind that Setter would've liked.

She might've appeared, she might've stepped, she might've even woken up. But the fact was, that Romi Jade Romi Jade was facing Mr. Heartbeat himself, the grandfather of the Rangers, the man who would've done a lot more in his life, if not to give it up for Amon Vizsla. Even now, just at a glance- there wasn't a thing that Setter would've done differently. Everything lead him to let the kid get off the ship. Every choice, every action, everything he did and didn't do, put him there in that spot, at that time. And Amon was alive and well, and Setter-

Setter felt at peace.

So, when Romi came to the beach, he smiled, and gestured to the seat beside him. A blue drink awaited her, while he sipped from an orange one. The air was warm, but not too hot. The wind was gentle, but not harsh enough to blow sand up back at them. The structure in the distance gently swayed- and if Romi looked hard enough, it was a bastardization of Silver Rest, overgrown with fauna. Setter sat up in his chair, shirtless and wearing sunglasses that he pushed up to get a look at Romi.

In reality, Romi was still laying in her coma, the trauma to her body too much to bear consciously- but that left her mind to wander.

So there Romi was, on a beach, with Setter Ryburn.

Maybe it was really him.

Maybe this was really where Setter was after he vaporized himself to save the Rangers.

Maybe this was where he was going to spend the rest of time.

Maybe this wasn't real.

Maybe it was all in her head. The beach, the sun, the heat- everything.

Maybe, maybe not.

But either way- it felt real enough. And he spoke to Romi for the first time in a long time. Romi got to hear Setter's voice again.

"Nice to see you again, pretty lady."
