Within the Circle [OSL Padawans]

Bethany smiled softly as she listened to each of them.

"Just as it is important to understand our own shortcomings, and where we stand to improve, so too is it important to recognize our strengths and what we have to offer the people around us."

Slowly, the small vines ceased their frenzied growth. They would continue on now at the more typical, sedate pace, only energized for a short time through Bethany's touch within the Force.

"Those of you here with the ability to do so, I want you to reach out to the Force. Especially here, in this place surrounded by life, it is there, simply waiting. Those of you who cannot, instead I want you to focus on the Forest. To what your other senses can tell you. Listen, breath in, and find that connection between yourself and that which is around you. Even if you cannot sense the Force itself, you are still part of it, connected to it and therefore, to every one of us as well."

"It isn't training in light saber techniques. It isn't throwing stones around with telekinesis or attempting to influence others. This is instead the very foundation upon which all of those things are built. A person's connection to the Force and how they experienced it is vital in understanding how they could influence it, and in turn, how it influences them. The conscious relationship each of us forms with the Force or the world around us is unique, seen through the lens of our own eyes and experiences. But the Force simply is- it doesn't change from person to person, only our interpretation of it does. What does it mean to you?"

OOC: This character is actually named Cavalcanti del Vigna-Toro, i just haven't reached the 50 post req yet to change it. He is human.

Cavalcanti was hidden in the darkness, listening to [member="Bethany Kismet"] give hear teachings. He'd come here to be taught as well, but was severely late to the lesson. The youngling's mind started to wonder the consequences of walking in on them.

I could be punished, or even expelled from the order without ever fully joining it. But I need to become a Jedi, this is my destiny.

Cavalcanti was a very unsettled one when it came to matters like these. Often acting on impulse, he caused chaos for many of those around him. He decided he should just come out and show himself. Throwing on his white robes, he crept out of the shadows. They didn't notice him at first, then he began to speak.

"My name is Cavalcanti, I think the Force is a representation of what could be if war didn't exist. Babies and children like us wouldn't suffer and have to grow up in a world of pain. Elders wouldn't be confined to there homes and have to live in fear of garrisons ransacking their homes. The force is a...."

Cavalcanti dropped his saber pike and dropped to his knees. A flood of tears cascaded down his face as he went into the fetal position. He was speaking about his own family, who he'd lost all throughout the war. Now he was left to his own devices, trying to find who he really was.
