One of the Trandoshans made a break for Sera's lightsabers
To keep the master's weapons safe from the Lizard men, Nefertari force grabbed them off the crate.
She quickly put one on her belt and ignited her own along with one of Master Shel'tah's.

A green blade sprung to life alongside Nefertari's pink. Her Jar'Kai was a tad rusty, but dealing with multiple enemies would be that much easier with two blades. Besides, what better practice than application right?

Nef defended against blaster fire from two assailants, blocking a few bolts before a thought occurred to her
Miyuki combined Jar'kai and Juyo, I wonder what would happen if...
Nine strikes lashed out from each blade, along with wild movements.
One strike slashed through the tarp covering the Twi'lek's cage, another busted open the crate of younglings.

That set Nef's anger off towards the slavers. Anyone who would kidnap children and pack them in a crate to sell like cattle deserved severe punishment.

Several of the total eighteen strikes struck the ground, other strikes took out weapons. and one lizard lost a hand. After opening the valuable crate and cutting through the tarp, Nefertari extinguished the armaments and returned them to her belt.
One reptile looked like the ringleader. Nef charged at him and grabbed him by his throat.
Her crystal glowing brightly; the Jedi Knight, experiencing an intense moment of combined anger and maternal instinct, spoke strongly
"If your group ever so much as touches the order's young ones again, I will see that you are tried and pay dearly for your crimes. Now get lost!"
With that statement, Nef threw the lizard to the floor and the glow from the crystal faded as she walked to see if the liberated younglings were alright.
The closest I've gone without lapsing to the Dark Side...too close if you ask me.

The children seemed a bit uneasy after witnessing Nefertari's conversation with the Trandoshan, but soon took a liking to her. Nef gave them a once over; a scrape or bruise here and there, but nothing too serious.

"Be safe, young ones. We shall be on our way to Ossus soon enough."
With renewed light vigor from seeing the little ones were safe, Nef rejoined the fight. This time, only her own lightsaber was drawn. A lizard succumbed to a sleeper hold, and Nef decided to only use disabling techniques here.

Well this was turning into something of a gathering. No sooner had Avreet received his saber than the pilot that quite literally saved Corvus’ life when her ship crashed turned up.

The ship crashed. Not Corvus crashed the ship. There is a fundamental difference…

Anyway, they’d agreed to meet again and the party on Zeltros seemed a good idea. Corvus was essentially immune to the pheremones, given she could block all emotions in and out, but hadn’t considered how it might affect others. But then, she never would.

And then another pilot, she presumed, arrived and he was a friend of Lugus’ obviously. She bowed to both and smiled. “Greetings. This is Avreet, and I am Corvus,” she indicated them in turn, given Taeli had introduced herself.

“Lugus here saved my life once. Gave me the kiss of life and then put my robes on. Well, I had to take mine off of course.” She gave a look as if to say this was entirely obvious. “And we promised each other we’d have a risotto, so here we are.”

She heard her sister’s words in her head. ‘It will keep her alive I suppose. And at least I now know why that brick was missing. One less mystery to solve I guess. I have to hand it to her for ingenuity. I’ve sat in that spot every day for fourteen years. And we’re having a meal, what’s wrong with that? You could come too?’

Another two joined the little meeting, which started to slowly but surely grow in numbers. That had to be expected with the Jedi Grandmaster being there. All Jedi ultimately sought her wisdom, much like Avreet looked up to Grima’s words dripping with both intelligence and experience. The newcomers clearly weren’t Jedi though, as only one quick glance of Avreet’s orange eyes over both men revealed – not only their apparel, but mainly the bigger one’s imperfect body immediately proved their allegiance lied elsewhere. The informality between him and the Jedi Grandmaster further proved the Sith Lord’s belief, almost forcing the amphibian to smile upon witnessing it. There was no fear, no sacred respect for the woman who essentially led the Jedi Order; this pilot, as he introduced himself, simply talked to Corvus as if meeting an old friend, an ordinary and equal person. Have the pheromones caused that? Impossible for Avreet to say, his race too different to be affected by the sweet scent. To the Mon Cal, it was mighty interesting to compare this situation with a similar one, replacing Corvus with a random Sith Lady, let’s say Darth Isolda. Would a non-Force user approach the woman like this? Definitely not. Even when Avreet placed his beloved Grima into the situation, he still could not imagine anyone greeting her like that. Except for himself. Such was the perk of being trained by a powerful and wise Sith Witch, surviving the training and making her proud.

“Greetings,” the Sith Lord said, his voice remaining smooth as honey and calm despite the fact he addressed an enemy, “I am Avreet Zatarus, an old friend of lady Raaf.” No bowing, no further explanation provided for the time being unless required. Just as his introduction said nothing except his name, Corvus’ explanation swiftly shed more light into the relationship between her and Porkins. His gaze that pierced the pilot showed a weird mixture of respect and surprise. One could not easily imagine a pilot to save the Jedi Grandmaster’s life, especially since Raaf’s words hinted towards the event happening not in the cold emptiness space, but on ground.

“Then allow me to personally thank you, Mr. Porkins. Lady Raaf is the best Jedi Grandmaster we’ve had in… forever.”

From the tone Avreet purposely provided, one could not safely say if the Sith Lord actually meant his words sincerely or sarcastically, although the ones who knew him usually also knew of his strange respect for the current Grandmaster, something he never tried to hide. One smile later, the ancient enemy of the Jedi Order turned his sight towards the woman with amethysts for eyes, his webbed hands clasped behind his back.

“Please, have an enjoyable evening. It is important to relax after all that hard work, this pointless war that leaves us all drained.” Another sentence that left Avreet’s large mouth, this time clearly projecting respect, sincerity and humbleness.

R46 Valiant-class Starfighter White Tiger Five, outskirts of the Zeltros System

"Looks like they don't want to have us onboard for some cocktails," said Luxi.

"Not even a reply saying no," mumbled Gir.

"Well, I think the laser fire from them says about that much."

"True," admitted Gir.

Gir was almost immediately thankful that he wasn't flying a faster ship.

The burning blue exhaust nacelles of the interceptors danced around sporadically, jumping across the black fabric of space as the ships dodged spurts of laser fire from the new vessel. He spared a glance at his HUD, noting that in less than a minute, he too would be in weapons range of the suspicious vessel. Blinking, he quickly pressed on a pedal with his foot, rapidly decelerating his craft even as Luxi's jumped ahead. He studied the craft in front of him, almost immediately recognizing the large shuttle-like ship as an 11-S Yacht from too many evenings as a junior officer watching the routine space traffic around Anaxes.

His eyes narrowed as they darted across the hull of the vessel.

That model shouldn't be carrying any weapons...but it's got a pair of quad laser cannons on either side now...but right there...

Luxi's voice flowed through the headset.

"What are you doing back there, Five?"

"Waiting for my opening..." said Gir, suddenly starting to accelerate his craft.

As Luxi's ship drew fire from one of the quad laser cannons, Gir bracketed its silhouette in his HUD and held the trigger down. Slow, single bolts began to errupt sequentially from his ship's wingtips. The first few were quickly soaked up by the yacht's weak shielding, but it soon gave way to the force of his weapons. The last few bolts hit the quad laser cannon itself, turning the barrels into useless molten slag. As his ship flashed by the converted yacht, he watched the Quicksilvers swoop in to strafe the yacht's rear. As he banked his craft around to come on another attack run, Flashfire Three's voice boomed out of his headset.

"That's it! Engines are down."

As his starfighter turned to point at the stranded yacht, he saw the prow of the Wavecrest gliding towards them. Gir quickly glanced at his sensor board. It should only take them a minute to get into boarding range, though the coupling process will probably take a few minutes more...He altered his course to take White Tiger 5 back to the IPV's hangar.

"Where are you going?" asked Luxi.

"I should be onboard the Wavecrest when they board the yacht, just in case something comes up."

"I'll be out here,"

"Uh...roger that," said Gir slowly.

Objective: Suppose I should help the---Oh...Nevermind.

Sera watched as the miniature brawl unfolded. First with Nef and Dair entering from the front, while Ciara and Morgana came from the back. Though Nef had another tag-along with her, one that was clearly not a Jedi, but seemingly an ordinary local. Odd. She thought to herself as the battle continued, her view no longer obstructed after Nef had taken ownership of her pair of lightsabers, using them to great effect as well as unveiling both the younglings being captive and herself within the cage under the tarp. It was quite a sight to watch them act in unison, like some type of commando squadron. Quite impressive indeed.

Sera smiled as the younglings were freed, and the Jedi lifted her hand, gesturing momentarily as the locks on the old, rusty cage gave way and fell to the ground, releasing her from her tiny makeshift prison cell. "Never once did I think you all would fail. Well done. Very resourceful, all of you. Though, the cascade of lightning and minor amputation does concern me a bit, Nef. But a conversation for another time. Let's get the young ones back on their way to Ossus. They're long overdue."

She turned to the children and smiled, kneeling down. "Don't worry, you are all safe now. Let's get you on your way to becoming the finest little Jedi we've seen, huh?" Their spirits raised a bit, seemingly in a bit of shock that someone came to help them, let alone a whole crew of people. They gathered themselves and stood, stretching their bodies before nodding their readiness to leave.

Well, this was awkward. Looks like Taci was late to the party.

Actually, she had completely passed it by and found herself in a particularly wrong place, facing down a huddle of rather drunk and unruly smugglers who had probably been hopping to get a nice night with a Zeltron babe--not particularly difficult, of course. But, still, the pink twi'lek had interrupted their little venture to get it on with some other pink people. That was never a good move.

The tyrian ranger had come here to help free the slaves. That was the intention, really. What actually happened involved her walking into the wrong place, thanks to Oogle Maps. They still got things wrong a lot, despite the guaranteed ninety-nine-point-nine percent accuracy claims. Tacitanya supposed that extra point-one percent was probably just so no one could legitimately claim they were being cheated without evidence that would take far too long to collect. Oh, well. She had to make do with that.

And now she needed to get out of here. "Snaff..."

Lightsaber deactivated and quickly clipped back to her belt, Taci tried to make peace. But the whole Zeltron biological thing could make the air just way too passion-filled. And that could sometimes translate to the desire to kill things. Or people.

"I'll just be moving along..." Hopefully they would put their guns away as she scooted backwards and dashed out of the building. "Sorryyyyy."

Morgana had hopped up onto a table when one lizard tried to swipe at her. It gave her plenty of room and aiming time to giving him a good kick right under the jaw. He went sprawling back before two more came at her. One with a blaster he fired while the other tried swinging a dagger at her. She backed up to the other end of the table where, once she could see the dagger wielding lizard, jumped and brought her wait down on the table end. The table smacked into his jaw, making him tumble in the air for a moment before falling back. Using the Force Morgana caught the table and pushed forward, smacking against the second trandoshian and putting him into the pile of others.
Morgana gave a little fist pump before seeing the younglings escape with Master Sera, calling "You kids be safe now. Don't do anything I wouldn't." At this point she figured the others had dealt with the last of the trandoshians, looking around and giving a prideful "We done good, guys. We done good!"

As her sister explained how she had met the pilot and the actual situation, Taeli really wanted to facepalm so hard. Of course her sister hadn't meant a romantic date, but instead a dinner date . . . oh Corvy, why oh why.

'You crashed again, didn't you?' she thought at her sister as she smiled at the pilot. 'Am I going to have to pay for you to go to pilot school, or are you going to tell me it wasn't your fault again like a good Corellian always does?'

She was teasing Corvus, but part of her was being serious. There were only so many times one could crash their ship before they realized maybe it was best to get some better flight skills.

"I guess I should doubly thank you for rescuing my sister's life," she said to Lugus, still smiling. "She always seems to get into these situations, no idea why. I always tell her to be careful too, you'd think she would listen to the older sibling."

The pheromones in the air were thick, but an advantage of having a Zeltron master was she had developed an immunity to them really fast. Nothing against Balaya, but Taeli preferred to have her head clear at all times. Zeltros was certainly not her chosen world to travel to, most definitely not.

"If you wouldn't mind, I would like to get to know the pilot that saved my sister's life a bit better," she said, noticing Avreet's words as something like a good-bye. "Might tag along on your dinner date, unless your friend Mr. Quiet here would like to accompany me to make this a double dinner date to get to know one another?"

'If you want to look at the talisman later, I have it on my ship currently. She gave it to me as a memento and I made sure that she could contact me whenever she needs me.'

Third building on the left, he said, Taci reminded herself as she rushed to the correct destination. Oh, boy. She knew she had found the right place when she was withing a half kilometer. The clamor was unmistakable. Drawing her Whistleflute from underneath her cloak, the twi'lek skidded into the doorway, ready to save the day. Or maybe make it worse. That probably was more like it.

Then the commotion stopped, right as she entered. "Aww, snaff." Just when she thought she might actually not be late to the party, she proved that she was indeed quite tardy.

The younglings were being lined up by the Republic's guardians and accounted for, slavers apparently all downed with... little finesse. There was the smell of flesh permeating the enclosed area, which really made it not that enticing for her to step in further. Her hand immediately tucked her gun back in its holster, though, as she noticed the kids looking at her a bit frightened. They had seen enough carnage already, so the sight of a speedy little gunslinger skating onto the crime scene was not so comforting. Everyone, just stay chill... She raised her gun hand in a friendly gesture after putting the firearm away.

Now, there was a familiar face. "Oh. Hey, Sera." Her bottom lip stuck out for a dramatically embarrassed expression.

As everyone was finishing up, CJ was still facing one last slaver who had decided that his blaster would be useless, switching it out for a vibrosword. He howled with rage charging toward her with the blade dancing back and forth out in front of him in uncontrolled fashion. CJ winked at the oncoming slaver. This was her preferred method of dealing with bad guys. Melee combat!

The slaver slashed his blade toward her right side and with a snap of her wrist parried the blow away with ease. What she was still learning in terms of her Force abilities was grossly made up in her knowledge of lightsaber combat. Also, the reptilian slaver was tall but she was taller. Standing at 6'2" she was shorter than the average Vahla female but she had learned to use her height to her advantage, hence why she had chosen the two-fold lightsaber form; Shien/ Djem So.

To her surprise the slaver was also well trained in his melee weapon. He quickly recovered her parry and struck again forcing her to take a step to her right, allowing her to use his own momentum against him. As he stumbled past, she counterattacked only to have her strike blocked. He was good. For the next five minutes they exchanged attacks, counterattacks, dodges, blocks, and parries. While he was trying to kill her, she was enjoying herself and observing his movements looking for a weakness. And she found one. He always led with his right foot.

When the slaver attacked again, she parried the attack and swung around his body on the left and brought her blade down behind her. However, she either miscalculated her strike or he had reacted differently than she expected and her yellow blade cut through his right wrist as he tried to bat away her blade. The slaver screamed in pain as he dropped to his knees, a few seconds after his weapon and severed hand hit the floor, and clutched the ruined stump.

"Sorry about the hand, mate." CJ looked down at the limb and cringed. It wasn't the sight that disturbed her but the fact that she had brought harm to him. She closed her eyes and sighed. She could have beaten the slaver at anytime but she had allowed her pride and excitement of the confrontation to take charge of her. Arrogance was dangerous.

She motioned for two Republic guards to tend to the reptile's injury. She leaned up against a wall, eyes shut, and meditated. Slowly she began to find peace as she spoke the Jedi Code.

During the combat, Dair kept his lightsaber tucked up his sleeve. Instead he used his size, strength and speed to keep the trandoshans he engaged off balance and subdued them. He quickly worked his way through the battle scene to stand near the younglings, using himself to shield them from harm.

Once the fight was over and the younglings were gathered and about to be sent out to waiting Republic ships to take them to Ossus, Dair spun, hearing the voice of Tacitanya. Dair had been dampening his empathic sense, and it seemed that his force sense had been dampened as well, for he hadn't sensed the woman approach. The scratch of a boot on floor from an area that previously held no person had Dair spin on his heels. He telekinetically called his saber to his hand and lit it, dropping into a defensive crouch instantly.

Tacitanya said:
Everyone, just stay chill...

Dair calmed quickly, a small blush coming to his cheeks as he stood from his crouch and returned his saber, not unlit, to his sleeve.

Tacitanya said:
"Oh. Hey, Sera." Her bottom lip stuck out for a dramatically embarrassed expression.
Dair momentarily looked between Master Sera and the newcomer. He nodded/shrugged and moved back to the younglings.

"Alright little ones, I am Dair. I'll be going with you all back to Ossus." He said, a strange deja vu hit him. Those were almost the exact same words that Knight Cotarin had said to him all those years ago when he had rescued Dair from a life of slavery. He had been under no delusions about his motives in coming on this mission. Slavery was a disgusting trade and Dair would likely help in almost any mission that took slaves from that life. Dair had been meaning to say more, but looking into their now slightly less innocent eyes sent a clog into his throat, disabling his ability to speak for the moment.

"Porkchop wait, you forgot something."

He didn't remember forgetting anything. That was an oxymoron. Lugus' fingers gripped the small cylinder holding it up to read it his mouth moving to form the words not realizing what it was until he finished reading. Dang it, Trix! It's not that kind of date! What was the word his sister fancied? Snog. Snogging. Cricket found the word adorable. Lugus found it uncomfortable. There would be none of that for Lugus! None that he would initiate at least.

"How about you just hold on to that for me?" He put the breath spray back in Trix's pocket. He then motioned his hand to present his friend. "This is my fellow pilot and best mate, Trix."

Lugus then gave a small nod to both of them as they introduced themselves. "Pheromones have my head swamped," he answered Taeli as she commented about how casual he was with Corvus. Not the real reason but still it was true at least. He wasn't immune to them. He felt somewhat high to tell the truth, very mellow. His eyes squinted as he noticed her violet eyes. How odd, Corvus has almost the exact same color.

Trix knew the story Corvus told although Lugus never mentioned wearing her robes or the rest of it just the kiss of life. A term that Lugus coined. Lugus looked at her waiting to hear more of an explanation but then she ended the story. No? She wasn't going to explain the statement that sounded a lot like 'and then I took my robes off'? He smiled lightly at how she didn't seem the least bit bothered. No one else did. Maybe it was just how he heard it. He shrugged. Lugus liked it better when he told the story. He was the chivalrous knight. Of course no one believed the story. Why would a jedi need to be saved by such a pilot? Lugus gave Trix a nudge with his elbow as a sort of I told you so.

Next the Mon Cal spoke. He had such a think accent. Something about him gave Lugus a bad feeling to say the least. With the pheromones, this translated into an odd eyebrow raise. He had very expressive eyebrows. They had a mind of their own. Raaf! That was her last name!

"It was the right thing to do," Lugus replied to Avreet's thank you giving a confidant smile. He then switched to Taeli smiling at her as well as she thanked him. He lit up as she mentioned being Corvus' sister. No wonder they had the same eye color. Maybe similar jaw lines and hair? Yeah, they didn't really look too much a like. His next thought went to inviting her to their dinner. Hopefully she wasn't allergic to seafood. Corvus did say she didn't spend too much time with her sister. Lugus would rather them spend more time together. He was even willing to take a rain check and send the risotto home with them.

In a twist of fate, she asked herself. Lugus grinned widely only to snicker at the mention of Trix. He wasn't completely sure what he was laughing at. The fact Ric was called quiet? The fact she didn't know Trix like Lugus did? Or maybe it was because Trix wasn't really the dating type?

Lugus made a quick glance at Corvus. He didn't imagine her to say no so he didn't wait for a sign of approval, "Of course, you both can join us if you want. I made plenty of Risotto."

11-S Space Yacht Grand Rambler, outskirts of the Zeltros System

Gir followed the pair of marines through the cofferdam airlock onto the upper hold of the ship. As soon as he had passed through the flexible tube, He instinctively wrinkled his face as a weird wash of smells assaulted his nostrils. What have they been doing here? His eyes peered around the ship's bridge, noting the half-charred corpse of a humanoid figure laying sprawled out across the deck. Blaster burn marks covered the metal floor.

"Sir."

Gir turned to face an armored marine standing in the yacht's turbolift, "What is it sergeant?"

"I've secured two of the ship's crew down below sir."

"That's it?"

"The third's right there sir," said the marine, gesturing at the corpse.

"Is there anyone else onboard?"

"I can't say sir," said the marine, "all of the cabins downstairs are locked with pretty heavy duty locks. They also appear to be resistant to our scanners. I tried tapping on several of their doors, but I didn't get a response. If there are any trafficked beings onboard, they're probably in restraints."

Gir nodded as the trooper spoke. Makes sense if you're smuggling contraband that you'd need smuggling compartments...or cabins. If there are people in there, they could be really packed, maybe even to the point of a medical emergency. We'll need to get those opened fast. The officer turned around to face a marine about to head back onto the Wavecrest.

"Grab a couple of astromech droids and a few mechanics to get those doors down there open," said Gir, "and get the medical team on standby. They may have some pretty sick patients coming onboard soon."

"Yes sir."

"Never once did I think you all would fail. Well done. Very resourceful, all of you. Though, the cascade of lightning and minor amputation does concern me a bit, Nef. But a conversation for another time. Let's get the young ones back on their way to Ossus. They're long overdue." said the Twi'lek master

"I most certainly agree, Master Shel'tah. The younglings should not be here another minute." said Nef, handing Sera's sabers back to her.

When one of the younglings looked like they were about to fall asleep on their feet, Nef let them up on her shoulders. The Jedi Knight didn't truly hate anybody here, not even the Trandoshans. However, she loved younglings very much and would gladly go to their aid. If she and Gherron ever had kids, anybody who would bring them harm had better watch out.

"I suppose we had better be on our way."
Nef recalled her own traumatic experience as a youngling, she felt for these little ones.

Corvus thought it impressive that everyone was getting along so well together but get the impression that Avreet was looking to leave and given the circumstances she quite understood.

“Avreet, as ever you are most chivalrous, so until the next time,” and she gave him a smile and a small bow.

Then turning to the rest of the group, “Yes, let’s all go together, it should be fun. I’m sure you have some exciting stories to tell.”

‘I didn’t crash the ship. The ship crashed and I was merely piloting it. The log clearly shows a system malfunction. If I wasn’t such a good pilot, I’d be dead by now. And yes, I’d love to see what she came to Ossus for.’ She knew the banter was good-natured, but you’d think she was the only Jedi to regularly write off star-ships!

“So you’re Lugus’ friend Trix? You’re very lucky to have such a good friend here. He’s one of a kind. And he makes risotto too. A rare talent.”

Turning back to Lugus, she asked, “Did you get the saber I sent?”

"It was a pleasure meeting you," He gave Avreet another slight nod. It was a pleasure he guessed even though he was still slightly leery. He was a friend to Corvus that was enough for Lugus to keep from playing 20 questions with the man.

Lugus blushed lightly as she called him one of a kind. If anyone called him out he was most definitely blaming those pesky pheromones again. He knew he was one of a kind. One doesn't have the name Lugus Jek Tono Porkins without being at least somewhat special. He probably wouldn't list what Corvus would as far as what made him one of a kind but he still knew.

"Yes! It's actually on my ship at the moment," he beamed remembering the beautiful blue training lightsaber Corvus sent him. It was a pleasant surprise when he received it and of course he spent several hours just staring at it. He raised his left index finger for Corvus to see showing her a recovering burn. Yes, out of curiosity he touched the blade and got a nasty burn. He had wished he chose a different patch of flesh. The burnt finger made it hard to do every day tasks. Burnt it bad enough to make a light blister. Yet another story added to his repertoire of stories no one believes so he just claimed to burn it on a pan. He was a cook burning himself on pans made sense. If he were to say he burnt his finger on a training lightsaber he received as a gift for saving the Grandmaster. Well they probably would have had a nice laugh.

"Did you receive the flight suit? I wasn't sure if you had one or not. Well now you have one Republic issued. I hope it fits well. I had to guess on the dimensions," He smiled. That's another story he would probably never tell. He actually went by the body types of his fellow female squad mates figuring out the one who had a similar height and figure to Corvus. From there he just ordered a suit for that pilot then picked it up without giving it to her or letting her know it was even ordered. He removed the name patch and rank patch as well before shipping of course. What was the pilot's name? Something Audit? Ajax? Well she did keep fairly to herself. Lugus made a mental note to at least learn her name later.

Champion-class Star Destroyer Obi-Wan Kenobi, in orbit via Zeltros

Gir and Luxi stared through the ceraglass viewing pane of the ship's medical bay, watching several dozen of the beings found on the Grand Rambler getting checked out by the ship's medical personnel. After opening the first sealed cabin for Gir to call the Med Evac shuttles; it clearly was going to be a MASCAL for the Wavecrest's four medical personnel and droids. Gir watched as one of the medical diagnostic droids raised the limb of a recently emancipated women to further inspect its range of motion. It appeared that most of the victims had been restrained for the better part of two weeks. They seemed to be suffering from a host of problems ranging from simple malnutritions and contusions to broken bones and organ failures. While Gir had a limited ability to see such things dispassionately, he was quickly finding that Luxi had none of it.

"But why Zeltros?"

Gir shrugged, "There's a thriving entertainment sector on Zeltros, isn't there? Some of the sketchier places need not only entertainers, but also need kitchen workers, janitors, and a host of other jobs that probably aren't that attractive to many free workers for their working conditions and low pay."

"That's what droids are for."

Gir blinked. That's a whole another moral quandary...

"I'd be willing to bet that these people are cheaper, at least on initial costs..."

Luxi shook her head and turned her gaze onto him, "Take me somewhere else."

Gir quickly obliged, taking her deeper into the corridors back towards the hangars. He felt guilty in a way. Luxi seemed like one to enjoy innocent fun, and he had taken her on an adventure that seemed to have possibly stripped that innocence (or was it ignorance?) from her. Yet the further away he took her as they talked about random things, the more she seemed to get better. At least superficially.

"So how long will you be here?"

"Me personally, or the Republic?"

"Yes."

"Only time will tell, but hopefully for at least a while..."

As all joyfully embraced the opportunity to try out the pilot’s risotto, making the Sith ponder about how many of them have been affected by the sweet-smelling sea of pheromones in the air, Avreet felt it was high time to depart if he didn’t want to raise too many uncomfortable questions that were an essential part of social meetings, the kind that would have posed a problem for him and both Raaf sisters. Especially the Jedi Grandmaster herself; to talk with a Sith without arresting him spelled trouble given they stood on a Republic planet. Avreet did not know for sure if Jedi had to arrest or remove all Sith for merely setting foot into the Republic’s sphere of influence, but he could easily imagine the headlines if somebody found out about his allegiance to the One Sith. With no intention to jeopardize Corvus’ position, as he actually meant his words of her being the best Jedi Grandmaster in years (not a hard feat to accomplish if one took her predecessors in consideration), the Mon Calamari offered a polite nod to the group before departing. Not a bow traditionally associated with Force users and their ways of greeting; a true Sith never bowed, it was a sign of submission that showed weakness.

“May you live happy and fulfilling lives then. Until our paths cross again,” the Sith Lord said with his tone almost serene, quickly betrayed by a hint of a smile that passed over his mouth. The unspoken message sent by his words remained, understood only by those who knew of the Mon Cal’s identity. The ongoing war had a sick sense of humour and it was entirely possible they would meet sooner rather than later, surrounded not by parties and dancing, but by corpses and death. If they happened to encounter each other there, not all of them would leave the battlefield alive. The Republic lusted after war as much as the One Sith, both sides passively watching the billions pulverized between the two superpowers, tossing more millions into the slaughter. Especially in the Republic’s case, Avreet’s been getting the feeling they played some sort of “the bigger the losses, the greater the sacrifice” game, the massive casualties after each lost battle being something to be proud of.

Swiftly turning on his heel, the amphibious Sith turned in the familiar way that was the same he walked when the One Sith butchered this very city. Maybe he wanted to see the repairs, maybe he desired to join a party where every stranger could join with no question asked, or maybe he wished to bring justice to the slavers. Whatever the case, he swiftly vanished in the tangle of streets and alleyways. The presence identifying him in the Force remained hidden, which came in handy upon passing a robed figure that clearly possessed the gift of the Force, as evidenced by their signature.

Bright lights coming from above illuminated his face in all sorts of colours, the noises not unfamiliar to explosions ringing in his ears. As the fireworks burned the sky, another party was starting within the city's bowels.

A small look of confusion danced its' way across Sera's face as Taci popped into the warehouse moments after the situation was resolved. "Woah. Hi Taci! Funny seeing you here. But it looks like you did miss the party. But you're welcome to the after party! I am sure once the younglings are on their way back to Ossus there will be plenty of time for celebration!" The Jedi turned back to Nef, Dair, Morgana, and Ciara. "And thank you all again for your part in helping the little ones escape. You are all fine Jedi. This could not have been done alone. I am truly impressed by each one of you."

Sera replaced her sabers on to her belt as Nef passed them back to her and looked about at the battered and injured Trandoshans. "We'll need to get them aide, and then place them under arrest. Whether that be under the protection of the Republic or the Zeltron government will have to be left up to the officials. But for now, let's get them to a hospital. I will call for medical droids to transport them." With that she radioed for some assistance as they escorted the younglings out of the building towards a waiting transport just around the corner.

"If any of you wish to accompany them with me on the way to Ossus you are most welcome, otherwise have yourselves a small vacation, and enjoy your time. I will see you all again."

Objective: Younglings Saved; Enjoy Zeltros

With the younglings finally saved and the finally congrats from [member="Seraphina Shel'tah"] Morgana looked around at her fellow padwans, and Knight [member="Nefertari Sovint"] , with a satisfied and almost prideful grin. They'd done it. They saved people's lives. Even more so, they saved the future of the Jedi today. It felt more than good. It felt like it was supposed to be. Holding her saberstaff over her shoulder like a bat Morgana nodded to Master Sera for her praise. Before saying anything else she looked back to everyone to give her answer.
"Don't know about you guys, but I'm going to try and enjoy this place. Think we earned it. Anyone want to come with?"
