You Got Something I Need II (Coryth)

[member="Coryth Elaris"]

Here they were again. In the metropolis of awkwardness. Siobhan really did not want to do this, but in her heart of hearts she knew it had to be done. Hearing Mirien speak and feeling that Coryth's barriers had fallen, she took a very deep breath as she steeled herself. A sigh escaped her, then before the tiny redhead could suddenly change her mind because doubt was creeping it, Siobhan stretched and mentally walked through the open door that Coryth had left her.

Hoping that Mirien was right behind her, Siobhan took the plunge and dove into the vast, tempestuous ocean that was Coryth's mind. Goddess, hopefully this would go well. She steeled herself for the horrors that she knew would come, for the suffering Coryth had endured under Xerexes undoubredly awaited her.

A sensation of no longer being alone within her own head, came over her. And Coryth knew, Siobhan had crossed that border in her mind. For her part, she tried to keep her own mind in order and not overwhelm Sio with her memories and the horrors she endured. She just needed to delay a little bit and wait for Mirien, who she knew to be much more experienced in mentalism to enter before she let things flow without a check upon it.

Here they were again. Siobhan had crossed the border inside the short stack of fire's mind and dove headfirst into the massive ocean that it was. She braced herself for the flood that she knew was coming. Come, that was the simple telepathic message that she sent to Mirien. More she did not need to say and in any case in all honesty she would have been incapable of transmitting more. For simply staying afloat and keeping her own mind organised as she swam through the metaphorical ocean demanded her full concentration.

Everything else was blotted out as she focused upon herself, Coryth's mind and the Force, pulling at its tangled web as she filled herself with its power. Undoubtedly she would need all the energy that she was drawing upon in order to complete their task. The crystal that would become their personal holocron was lying on a table next to them.

Mirien reached over to the holocron while Siobhan entered Coryth's mind. It took her a moment or two to draw upon the infinite strands of power. Pulling it into herself, she drew a significant amount into her hand and connected with the holocron. She sighed softly before reaching out to Coryth. Gently she grabbed her hand and slowly started to step into the redhead's mind. Her first instinct to locate Siobhan within the redhead and ensure she was safe. With one more sigh, she searched for where they left off and soon started to pull memories and experiences from the woman's mind and into the holocron.

And so once more memories and experiences flowed out of Coryth and into the holocron. Siobhan was right, the horrors were soon to come. For the redhead's life had been far from sunshine and roses.

They would find themselves on Tatoonie, in a cafe. A cup of tea sat in front of the redhead, and then a slight warning flare before a sting against her neck. Movement was futile as the first step Coryth took ended with her on the ground, watching the twin suns in the sky before everything went black. She'd soon awaken in a special level of hell that the tiny woman in no way wanted to relive. Unfortunately for all of them, they would have to feel the experience for themselves. To know what Coryth really went through. Months would pass in captivity, tortured day in and day out all for the sheer joy it brought Xerexes. Slice by slice across her skin, and then the horrid, putrid poison spread across her body.

Her memories would drift on, to her rescue and the struggles she faced in the hospital as the Jedi did all they could to help heal her wound, but they would not seal. Not completely. It would take a good year before they would. To the moment she severed herself from the Force once more to spare herself some agony. Then the birth of her child out of that experience. That innocent life that Coryth couldn't help but be angry with, for all the wrong reasons. The girl was a painful reminder.

Memories drifting onward, to the adoption. Coryth in no way was capable to care for an infant in her state. And soon things started to grow dark for the redhead. Even she couldn't escape the anger and depression that followed such horrors, thinking she'd never be whole again.

They were growing closer now to the moment Cory dreaded letting either of them see. Her one moment of weakness that ended with far too many deaths.

Siobhan had always known it would be bad. She had faced Xerexes herself, seen the scars on Coryth's body and the journal where the sadistic Sith had gleefully described what he had put her through. But it was nothing like seeing it first-hand as he tormented Coryth and put her through hell. No, actually it was a good deal worst than simply seeing. See, as had been said a number of times, of the three Siobhan was the weakest in mentalism.

Her mental barriers had grown a lot stronger than in the past, but they were insufficient against the onslaught of emotions and suffering she faced. So as a consequence Siobhan did not simply watch Coryth being tortured and turned into the Sith's plaything, she experienced it. As if she herself had been kept in captivity, tortured and raped for Xerexes' sick pleasure. She felt his knives cut deeply into her flesh and painful agony surged through her as the horrid poison infected her body.

Sheer rage and anger overtook her as she felt a strong feeling of revulsion against 'her' child. She could not help be angry with it, for it was the spawn of Xerexes, and so she gave it up, being in no state to care about it. Of course, it was not 'her' child. Nor were these her memories, but they felt like it. In desperation Siobhan tried to fight against being swallowed wholesale as she sought to pull Coryth's memories into the holocron. The memories were indeed transferred, but in the process she was drowning in the ocean as darkness threatened to claim her. "Mirien...," all she could muster was a telepathic cry for help as everything threatened to go dark around her.

Mirien had expected it to be bad, but even she in all her knowledge of Coryth, of the dark arts had not prepared her for that moment. While she wasn't experiencing it to the degree that Siobhan was, it was more than enough to leave Mirien a little in awe of Coryth and absolutely sickened by the horrors that she saw.

It took Sio's telepathic cry to pull Mirien from the depths of the memories and experiences. Instantly she ceased to pull memories from Coryth and instantly reached for Siobhan within the redhead's mind. Unfortunately it took a moment or two to build a wall around the woman, to stand between her and the horrors Coryth had personally experienced. Somehow, they would need to find stability before they could continue with the holocron.

"Take a minute, try and recover. I know, that was .... brutal." She whispered telepathically. "You're safe here, I promise. I will always protect you. Rest, you're safe." She said softly, trying to be reassuring as she possibly could.

Coryth felt all too deeply what Siobhan was enduring. The rage, the pain, the disgust, all of it. Her empathy did her little good without her defences to keep such things out. She found herself panting as she did her best to keep her walls down, to not shove both Mirien and Siobhan out. It took everything she had to keep from doing exactly that. Unfortunately, she couldn't help her best friend. And that sensation of helplessness brought with it an anxiety that she hadn't felt in a long time. No more memories would be passed as Mirien had ceased to pull anymore from her. That for now stopped, as the brunette did what she could for Siobhan.

Mirien was there for her. Of course, she was. Just as she had been when Siobhan was on the brink of losing her mind. Her beautiful dark angel. And so Siobhan found herself being pulled out of the chaotic ocean that was Coryth's mind as Mirien built a mental wall around her. It made Siobhan feel safe...and loved. Something she really needed after the suffering she had seen and been forced to experience.

Of course, this paled in comparison for what Coryth must be feeling, there were no doubts there. Hearing the soft brush of telepathy against her mind had the effect of calmning Siobhan down a bit, though she was still shaking. "I know...thanks, love. You're always looking out for me. That was horrible." As Siobhan pulled out of Coryth's mind she took several deep breaths to try and control herself.

Feeling Siobhan pull free from Coryth's mind, Mirien spoke. This time, aloud for both to hear. "Coryth, put your defenses back up, we need a moment." She said firmly. Sio needed a break, something Mirien could sense so easily. They only would need a few moments. Just long enough to let them all recover, for that set of memories, that chunk of life experience was something that took so much from each of them. Granted, each one experienced it differently, but still.

Reaching out, she brushed against Siobhan's mind, "You're welcome, darling. And yes, I don't think I've ever seen something so sick, and depraved. It's a freaking miracle that Coryth had managed to be what she is, in spite of the hell she's been through. She's a much stronger woman than I could ever be."

Then Mirien leaned forward, and reached out to take Sio's hand in hers. "Just take a minute, and relax. We can wait, for both of you. Coryth, are you alright?" She asked, concerned for the redhead after that experience that both of them had experienced so brutally.

With both women withdrawing from her mind, the Firemane started to lift her barriers and defences again, mostly to protect the other two in the room. Siobhan, she knew needed a break after she felt so much distress radiate from her, into the force and so harshly and deeply into her mind.

Coryth nodded, "I'm okay ... I think." She said quietly. Truth be told reliving that experience had been more of a strain on her and her emotional state than she imagined. It was something she thought she had come to accept as just a part of her life, her past. But even now, it still cut deeply. Some wounds, just don't ever heal completely. This, no doubt one of those situations.

"Sio?" Asked as she reached over and took the woman's other hand and gave it a tight squeeze. In truth, she felt terrible for Siobhan to have had to experience the torture first hand. And not only that but to learn of her daughter and the anger, disgust and fears that came with. "You going to be alright?"

"Yes, she is stronger than she thinks. But both of you don't give yourself nearly enough credit. I love you." Siobhan responded to Mirien, still trembling a bit before she got it under control. Her dark angel leaning forward and taking her hand into hers seemed to have the beneficial effect of calmning her down a bit.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. Just need a moment. You're the one who actually went through it. Just makes me sad I didn't have the time to prolong torturing Xerexes a bit and giving the bastard a more painful end than getting his spine ripped out," Siobhan spoke. It came out more harshly than intended and she tried to get a grip on herself to keep the wave of anger that was threatening to overcome her under control. Breathe, focus, anger won't help anyone. Breathe, she thought to herself.

"I love you, too." She whispered telepathically in return. Gently Mirien squeezed Siobhan's hand as she ran her thumb slowly across the back of it, trying to be as soothing as possible.

"That bastard sure as feth deserved a hell of a lot more than he ever got in this live." Mirien said frigidly.

"You're okay, Siobhan. You're alright, and safe. Just try to relax. I'm right here for you." Still doing her best to soothe and calm Siobhan down as she brushed against her mind once more to speak privately.

Coryth gave a small shrug. "Yes, true. It's just, I've had years to come to terms with a lot of it. And while some wounds won't ever completely heal, I've gotten better at dealing with that pain."

She nodded as the other spoke of what Xerexes deserved. "Even I think, that he got off too easily after all he has done to me, to my daughter and others. He did deserve to suffer. Admittedly not a very Jedi like thought, but frankly I could not care less when it comes to this."

"Not a 'very Jedi thought', but you're human not a robot and he would've deserved to suffer long," Siobhan spoke, having finally managed to calm down. She leaned back against Mirien, enjoying the feeling of her hand against hers. Her dark angel was always there. Protecting her, soothing her.

She took a deep breath. No sense in getting wethennish now. "I'm ok. We can start again if you're up for it." The sooner they got this over with the better.

Coryth nodded before she slowly started to drop her layers of defense once more. It took her a moment to return back to where she was before, open and ready for both women to enter her mind once more. The redhead sighed heavily, hating to feel so vulnerable, so open and exposed. Naked, in truth was how she felt. Her every flaw, mistake and embarrassing moment on display for them both to see. There was no hiding things here.

"I'm ready." She said softly, nervously. A bit fearful of what was to come. For they had come through the torture. Her downfall was soon to come, an incident that still cut her deep to this day. "Whenever you are ready Sio, please come first." Siobhan, her safety net. The one person that made doing this okay. She needed her best friend first before she could accept anything else.

(Go ahead and skip Mirien here)

Time to face the music and take the plunge again. She did not need the Force to see how nervous and anxious Coryth was. Probably even more fearful than Siobhan herself was. But Mirien would be right behind her. Just like her dark angel would always be trying to protect her. She had the feeling that she would really need the help. "Ok. Here we go again," she said, taking a deep breath. She felt Coryth grant her entrance and once again took the plunge in the chaotic ocean that was the redhead's mind.

Truthfully, Mirien didn't want to take this journey either. Not this time. And there were hardly any words of encouragement that she could give. It was simply best that they just got on with it and tried to finish as best they could without further interruption. Though she was a bit concerned of what would come next, and Siobhan's reaction to it. That she really worried about.

Once Coryth's defensive layers were down again, Mirien was right behind Siobhan. Simply trying not to leave her love alone for too long in the sea of memories and experiences. Siobhan certainly didn't need that.

Now inside Coryth's mind, she went to Sio first to make sure she was alright. It was then that she lifted a hand to place over the holocron. Drawing more power from the Force, she soon started to transfer memories again to the holocron. Her hand started glowing slightly as she did so.

Coryth couldn't help but cringe slightly as the two women entered her mind. It never was a pleasant sensation, beyond the fact that she simply did not like others in her mind. That feeling of vulnerability came over her, and something she had to fight against pushing them both out instantly. For she knew what was coming next. The downfall that she'd told no one about. Something she wanted to keep secret so desperately.

She blew out a heavy sigh, as the memory drifted to the surface. Coryth was on a distant rim planet. Her wounds had mostly healed but beneath the surface a rage boiled, threatening to spill over onto those around her. Here she had been sent to help the small outpost during an outbreak of a lethal virus. It was her job, her duty to be there and while she could feel it. She'd been slipping away, further and further after those horrific events and the birth as well as adoption of her daughter. Each events that pushed her further and further down the path to the darkside without ever being truly aware of it. The rage still was there bubbling away. Perhaps it was too soon. Well the redhead knew it was too soon. Far too soon. At this point she was barely hanging on to what little good there was left in her. If only she knew this trip, would be the straw that broke the camel's back.

The trigger, a hand on her shoulder on her way to her room for the evening, on the far end of the village. A male who had those same eyes as Xerexes. It was the last thing she really expected and ever since those events on Tatoonie, she never had been able to stand being touched by men and reacted unfavorably. This time, with the rage just on the edge of boiling over, it was not the thing to do.

In an instant, every ounce of rage that had built over the last months finally broke through. In a flash her saber was ignited and the being sliced in half before she even realized what was happening. And for a split second she seemed to have some recognition of the death, of what she had done before the rage completely took over her mind. A hair's breath later another poor unfortunate soul fell to Coryth's blade. Before she could stop herself and pull back from the horrible darkness and rage that surrounded her, the entire outpost, and surrounding village lay dead. Hundreds of people. Maybe even a thousand she wasn't sure.

The redhead realized the mistake, the error and the breaking point ... far too late, and she could not pull herself from the rage, anger, and hatred. Only now did she do the only thing she could possibly think of to prevent further death and severed herself from the Force.

Looking around her, seeing so much death and pain at her own hands, Coryth fell to her knees, sobbing. It was all she could manage after that horror. Two days would pass before she managed to move from that place on the ground, feeling she deserved to die then and there. It would be a long while before she'd find her way back to the light and the Force again. And even then her path back to the Light, would not be easy. Nor would it come without serious errors including nearly killing Andreas and he, her.

There was blood, so much blood. Her hands were coated in it. The streets of the deserted town were soon littered with bodies. All fell to her rage. They were cut down in the blaze of her lightsabre, torn apart by the power of the Force or driven to madness when she conjured up their worst fears and trapped them inside a state of terror. The earth quaked as if struck by tremors, entire buildings were torn down and buried the innocent beneath them in the rubble. They had dared to defy her and now paid the price as she drowned their town in an ocean of blood.

Her Jedi robes were slick with the blood of the innocent, her eyes obsidian wells of blackness. An entire town bent to her might and thousands died...and she enjoyed it. The sheer state of rage was completely and utterly intoxicating. Regret and remorse were pushed back into the depths of her mind. You see, so consumed with rage was Siobhan that unlike the real Coryth in the memories she did not stop killing. Her own darkest fantasies and fears seemed to have surged to the forefront when she touched Coryth's dark side. She was drowning in an ocean of chaos, unable to control herself. In the very real room she was currently in, the walls and the ceiling began to shake as if someone had summoned a small earthquake.

Her body shook badly but she was trapped, bionic eyes flashing. She really needed Mirien right now...badly.
