Act III: Insurrection

REBELS- Attacking Jhaega

Nyos ran at the large scaled beast just as it spit fire, he had no choice but to take the hit. He felt the remnants of his human flesh sear and sizzle in the intense heat of the fire. His cybernetic replacements how ever, weren't phased by the energy, more like, they were charged by it. He came out of the fire glowing luminescent rainbow colors as the compound in his enhancements absorbed the energy. He ran ever faster at the beast, then when the number of corrupt became too great ahead, Nyos jumped to the wall and used his hand like a hook to keep him attached as he ran along the tunnel wall. Vibrosabre swinging at any who ventured into his path, the cyborg made his way along with a large Mandalorian flying with his jetpack. He was determined to exstinguish the fire of the foul beast before him.
He heard a name called out through the tunnel...Jhaega...that must be the dragon's name. So Nyos took a breath long and deep then spurted a battle cry that would ring out above the crowd, metallic and filled with hatred...DIE JHAEGA YOU DRAGON SCUM!!!

TUNNELS: KILL THE REBEL SCUM!

A great, rumbling laughter escaped the belly of the beast. All around the scent of singed flesh, both rebel and in some cases Kursed - for some had not gotten out of the way soon enough - radiated through the air. They were resilient, but in the end that would not matter. None of it would. Akala would reign supreme, and these pathetic beings would bend or snap like twigs underfoot. Explosions rang out, carnage ensuing as a host of his Kursed were blown into oblivion, pieces of their bodies - limbs specifically, flying in every direction. The scent of their blood only served to entice the great beast further.

But he had a plan.

Slowly the creature began to back away, watching as the humanoids attempted to fight their way through the ridiculously large host of Kursed. Some, those with a little more autonomy than the rest, followed Jhaega, flanking him in his mock-retreat. Whether they bought it or not would not matter - once you saw a terrifying dragon such as Jhaega it was deep rooted within you to follow, to fight, to kill.

And Jhaega knew that once outside the carnage he could deal would be immeasurable.

Back through the tunnels he moved, with more Kursed squeezing underfoot and past him constantly - they wanted to get at the Rebels who opposed Her. He was close to the opening, now, the gaping hole of the tunnels which led out to the planet above could be seen ahead.

But the question was, who would follow the beast into hell?

Rebel, hunting down toothless group

Oh, no, you are not running away from me like that you scumbag. He wasn't going to let this moment slip away from him at all. He was in love with the idea of killing the dragon, that he couldn't retreat or let the beast go. Even if it would cost him some limbs or what he was determined to behead the beast and make his place.

He saw where Jhaega was retreating to and Canal followed him through the horde. He was almost out of ammo for his shotgun and decided to use against the horde instead of the dragon. "Come back Jhaega, you coward. Fight me with courage come on!" Canal yelled at Jhaega as he was now out of ammo for shotgun and used it as a club against his enemies. Then he took out his pistol and used the remainer of its ammo against the horde and continued using the shotgun as a club. He could see the light of the hole that lead to the surface of the planet. "I'm coming for you, Jhaega!!"

Asar didn't expect the man to be so swift with that large blade of his and thus he was caught by surprise when Pale deflected his attack. However, he couldn't allow himself to ease his focus for just a second. He stepped back and freed his blade from the lock with the opponent, then raised his left hand and sent a wave of Force push towards the enemy.

His former padawan's resistance made his blood boil, whatever Akala used to control what had once been Sochi's master now forced upon him only hate for her, and jealousy. Why had she been named master so quickly? What had he done in order to be held back so long? Of course subconsciously he knew these answers one and all, but those memories had been shoved aside and long forgotten. Rage replaced them. He left it to Alen to take care of Farn, Sochi was his.

Surging forward at blinding speed, he reignited his saber and slashed horizontally across at Sochi's chest with his reverse gripped saber. Ducking low he followed up with another, this one at her legs before firing upwards and leaping over her, landing behind and stabbing backwards with his saber. It was time that he ended this little quarrel and put the student back in her place before the master.

Rebels- D&D in ze tunnels.

Standing one's own ground was becoming more of a difficult task as limbs and bodies piled in an overflow. Zius kept up his guard as he Force pushed several Kursed back to give some relief to the already tight quarters of the tunnel. The loudspeaker from Calico broke his concentration momentarily, leaving him open to a knife-wielding youngling with a look in his eye, something not fit for a child. It was unnatural; however, none of them could survive. Zius embraced the moment and took the knife into an already exposed wound, allowing the blade to enter all the way to the guard. What followed after would only be akin to the very definition of hard decisions and sorrow. Time seemed to slow as Zius dwelled in the moment, slowly shifting his hand to be on the back of the enraged child, holding him close as he deactivated his lightsaber.

No one gets to live...

The Dark Jedi held him firmly and close to his body until the boy couldn't breathe, causing him to flail and shake with tension and the desire to be let free.

No regret. Don't think, just do it.

The crimson of the former Sith's lightsaber burst through the boy's chest and out his back. Zius facial expression was blank, distant even as he cast the body aside. Another to the pile.

He then turned and looked at Calico.

"No. I won't leave you all here to fester with these corpses, if we get through this it will be as a unit. No exceptions."

Rebels-fighting dragons and stuff

Kallion stared as the dragon retreated "what are they running from?" his pulse cannon had been overheated for so all Kallion could do was stare as the kursed along with the dragon retreated. He then saw CC-117 running after the dragon 'whats he thinking?' Kallion quickly decided to help the clone, running towards him with his now under heat pulse cannon "what are you doing?!" he yelled as he rammed the butt of his weapon into the head of a kursed, then aimed at the dragon before firing, sending hot plasma at its scales.

Rebels- Being confused and shooting and the dragon thing

Did the clone have a clue in hell as to what was going one? No, no he didn't, but that changed absolutely nothing, he saw his brothers charging headlong after some beast straight out out of the north circle of hell. And if they were gonna follow it back to it's lair, so was he. He snapped up his carbine and let off a few blasts as the beast retreated before he moved towards Galaar and Calico, he figured his COs needed to know he was here, one more soldier for the cause and all that good stuff. "Sirs, CC-442 reporting, whats the situation?"

His carbine lowered as the beast vanished from view, and Canal went screaming after it, which caused him to let out an exasperated sigh. He wanted to smack himself in the head, but his helmet was in the way and he didn't feel like moving his hand off his weapon with things like that crawling around. Somehow he felt he might get ordered to keep up with their extremely gung-ho brother. That was putting it nicely.

HEADING OUT OF THE TUNNELS: LURING THE REBELS!

Perfect... He could smell the scent of fear from the rebels, and he knew that some were following. Up and up through the tunnel he ventured until the air smacked him in the face and beat against his hide. It was wonderful, the toxic city held such freedom to the creature. Jhaega felt the seering impact of an energy bolt against his scales, and while it burnt it did nothing to wreck his hide. Puny Mortals, You Are No Match For The Damned, For Their Children. His roar shook the entrance of the tunnel, almost threatening to collapse it. But he purposely made sure it wouldn't. He wanted them outside.

Rising into the air the creature beat his wings, while the Kursed in the caves began to encircle the Rebels, getting behind them to begin luring them up to the surface. They were frenzied yet they knew their orders well enough, pressing the assault from all angles, easing them toward the tunnel entrance. From above Jhaega watched, soaring above them all. AKALA WILL REIGN SUPREME he roared, his voice travelling through the tunnels toward the Rebels who had remained to fight his moving host. Soon they would have no choice but to come to the surface.

REBELS- DRAGON SLAYING
The Mandalorian used his jetpack to shoot out of the tunnel, intervals every few seconds to make sure he had enough time to make good pace. He came shooting out of the tunnel, ignoring the other rebels. He was mad, very mad. And the kind of mad that was the focused mad. He stared up at the dragon beast, and narrowed his eyes. Mythosaur, this beast was not. He was not Mandalorian. This was not his planet. This was his. This was his brothers. This belonged to the Mandalorians, and he would see this beast and this wench Akala hung for their treason against the Mandalorian people, and he would see the Mandalore The Insurgent beaten and quartered for failing to protect the planet.

"NOT ON MY PLANET, MONSTER!"

Preliat's hate filled voice said, his hefty http://starwarsrp.net/topic/17555-m45-assault-rifle/]M45 rifle to his shoulder, cranking the firing level up to the max, way past stun to the point that it was able to make a Mandalorian in Beskar sweat. The red bolts scorched from his rifle, up to the beast.

Rebel, dragon slayer group

Canal remembered something that drifted him away from the greed of killing Jhaega. His brothers and comrades. He was taught that the mission comes first but to Canal it was brothers first. He stopped where he was and waited for his unit to catch up with him. "Come on, guys hurry up! Don't mean to rush you but I want to see how dragon meat tastes like." He said through the comm link to Calico, Galaar and the others of their party.

Only one more cartridge for the pistol and then he had to use his rifle. He Zius getting wounded by a boy, "You all right?" Canal said to Zius cause to him it looked like a bad wound. Canal then took cover from a pile of corpses and precisely aimed with his pistol. Need to make every shot count. One kill, two kills, da da da da, five kills one that was headshot and the other four to the throat.

The pn Kallion asked him on what the hell he is doing. "Well I was going after the dragon so I can cut his head and mount it on my wall but right now I'm waiting for my brothers and company." He pulled Kallion under cover from the Kursed who were shooting at them. "We need to concentrate fire on the beast," he said to Kallion and fired the remaining ammunition from his pistol at Jhaega. "Eat blaster!!!!"

Andreas had his arm wrapped around Daemos's leg, keeping it firmly locked against his waist to prevent escape. He had planned to continue with the rest of the technique, but his opponent proved to be faster than expected, made evident by the fist connecting with the skeletal jaw of his helmet in a brutal uppercut. The blow forced him to let go of the leg in his leg, releasing it back to it's owner before a hook aimed at his cheekbone (quite accurate seeing as his helmet is shaped like a skull) came his way. Reacting to this, Andreas stepped into the swing, raising his arm to stop the man's bicep from traveling any further and canceling the punch while he took advantage of the close proximity and fired three shots into Daemos's gut with the blaster in his other hand.
The mercenary made sure he did all this at the same time.

The Pale was tossed back like a sack of Corellian potatoes. His armor trailed sparks as it slid across the ground. A few rolls were in the mix to spice things up as well. This red clad bastard had some weight behind him, but there was no intention to meter him now. Rising quickly to his feet with sword still in hand, The Pale raised his other. "I need to find the root of this... invasion. And I need haste, so I must end this abruptly. Farewell". Fingers flared out, slowly returning to a closed fist, like a vise. Asar would feel as if his neck was in a press. Constricting to cut off the intake and output of air. Slowly axphixiating him.

"AKALA WILL REIGN SUPREME"

A booming voice rang from behind. The words threatening as its intent direct. This Akala was the one he must find to end this. The realization and surprise from this loud but unknown voice distracted from his death grip. The boy was lucky he now had bigger fish to fly. "Your spared for now". Pale ran off as fast as he could in the opposite direction; towards this yet unknown voice.

Body after body tried to consume him. Swift and effective movements moved Racket through the tunnel into positions for his blaster fire to erase faces. A child, human and his height, rushed towards him with a knife. Right arm moved up casually aimed at the kids forhead. Doom. Seared flesh replaced skin as the lifeless body tripped and fell in front of him. "You Fracking Little Douche! LiKE thAt??!!!!!"
Strides kicked hard on the kids chest p[ushing him into the fight behind Ti'Cira. The way he was looking at was blocked. Fighting through it seemed dumb. Following the group into a side tunnel brought them into darkness. Heat, screams, burnt flesh, and the roar of the huge beast filled the tunnel behind him. Yeah.... running at a dragon was never his option and he would be damn sure to get that one on the record. The guy with a glow stick asked Ti what her name was but continued to ignore him so he saw no need to pay him any mind either.
Racket's feet rapidly hit the ground which resulted in him having to speed up and slow down to allow for the fleshies to keep up. Dark tunnels turned into rail tracks upon reaching a new section of tunnels. The surface would be there's in no time.

Deciding, as the attack occured, to take each form was dangerous. But Damien was sure of his ability to keep conscious, as well as the Beskar in his torso which would cease the damage by the blaster - though he would now have to be far more careful, for the integrity against most of the torso was now destroyed. But taking such dangerous attempts, was for a reason.

The enemy he faced was swift, faster then himself by far. But that didn't mean he was going to win. The Force sang about the shift towards the darkside, as Daemos flared his power to life. Drawing swift knee kicks aimed for the man's stomach, he began applying all of the gathered energies towards forming 2 Spears of Midnight black that would fly from over his shoulders simultaneously. With such little energy applied they were hardly deadly, but that's what he wanted.

For at that moment, Daemos launched forward with his mind in an attempt to grip the others, where he applied half of the energy within his body to Torture by Chagrin. Physically Anderes was better, now they would see if learning from a reigning Darkside Master could best him.

Rebels--Tunnels, yep.

He's funneling us for something. A trap, outside maybe? This is how all the dead end stories go....

The myriad of laser fire, dust coating the air, and gravel falling from the cave's ceiling was disorienting enough, but...the Dragon was retreating. He had no reason to do that, none at all, other than a lure outside. Yet, what could they possibly do? If the rebel continued to hold here, they would be overwhelmed. There was only one real choice.

"Nice of you to join us ad'ika." He shot a look over his shoulder at Daral. "Hostiles everywhere. Put them down, they're no longer sentient." The Commando paused to pop off a small burst from his newly procured rifle. "Same with the Dragon. Keep it tight, don't venture past the tunnel mouth. We're open to artillery fire there."

A bolt stuck Calico dead center in the small of his back. That didn't just sting, that hurt. The Commander grunted and spun on his knee. A Nikto of all things had taken a potshot at him. It roared something incomprehensible, only to be silenced by the business end of Calico's new rifle. Suddenly, things made much more sense.

"The Kursed are circling!" He roared over the blaster fire--courtesy of the loudspeakers built into Katarn Kit. "They're trying to push us into the open: don't let them sneak past you!"

Despite his words, it seemed the forces of Jhaega had already started to constrict. It occurred to Calico that this dragon was much smarter than he had first though. "Understood Zius. Move on up, hold them at the tunnel mouth!" The Commander slapped Galaar on the shoulder as he snatched up his DC-17 in the other hand. A small rocky outcropping jutted out from the floor at the eastern end of the tunnel, perfect for firing out of the tunnel mouth.

Calico charged like a mad man, firing wildly with his procured weapon as a form of suppression. He hit the rock face hard and set the 'Deece' up against it. Standing at full height he could aim just over the rock face at the cursed outside. His left hand went up and balled into a fist, indicating for all Dreadguard to join him.

"Templars, pick off the stragglers trying to break our ranks. Dreadguard, make sure no others enter the tunnel." Calico snapped into the CIS channel. They needed to stay organized if victory was the goal. The Commander stared at Jhaega as the monster broke into open sky. It was such a terrifying, memorizing sight, that he didn't notice the human female sneaking around behind him. Her small figure pounced on his back, trying to drive a makeshift shiv into his shoulder.

Armed children were just as dangerous as adults. The shiv did nothing to penetrate Calico's armor, but her body weight did send him stumbling into the rock. The Commando reached back and hurled the female over his shoulder down into the rocks. It wasn't enough force to break bones, but it hurt. She screamed. Calico set a boot on her forehead. "Shab'la murderer." His finger went to pull the trigger, but it wouldn't respond.

Armed or not, crazed or not, it was a child. The Commander took a precious minute to spin the girl on her back, and slap a pair of standard issue hand cuffs on her slender wrists. She continued to scream and spout unintelligible dribble about Akala, but the thin trip rope tied around her legs kept her from standing. She was only a minor annoyance.

The soldier went back to firing over the outcropping; taking a deep breath as he noted even more Kursed beginning to break through their line. They were insane, but Jhaega was cunning. This would be a game of wits, it seemed.

"@[member="Jhaega"]!" He roared, hoping the Dragon could hear. If not, this would at least bolster the fighting spirit of his men. "You flee like a coward into the skies, yet you call us puny and weak! WHY WOULD WE EVER SERVE A MASTER WHO EMPLOYS SUCH COWARDLY CREATURES AS HE CHAMPIONS?!"

His opponent burst forward with a sudden surge of energy. Based on his muscle movement, Andreas saw a knee kick coming that would have been manageable had it not been for the force echoing exhortatories in his mind. Strange, this never happened before with any of the other hand to hand strikes coming at him. Whatever was truly coming his way, Andreas wanted no part of. With immaculate footwork, the mercenary quickly sidestepped the incoming knee and consequently the concurrent invisible spears narrowly, the closest one actually grazing his shoulderguard. Taking the sidestep in stride, Andreas lashed out a side kick to connect with Daemos's waist once his knee missed.

Concerning the mind attack, Andreas shrugged it off as Teras Kasi training granted him immunity to mind-based attacks.
"You thought that would work?"
Andreas commented tauntingly to the man trying to get to his head. The mercenary was right, this little warmup did turn out to be entertaining, but this is as far as this will go. Rolling back suddenly, he holstered his blaster and drew his disruptor rifle, aiming it and shooting a red beam of extremely destructive energy at the unarmed sith knight, threatening to turn him into a pile of ashes soon as it hits.

He provided the shield while she shot taking out their attackers as they ran, walked and kneeled. They were moving closer, but to what. Arla could pick up the sounds, of a great and terrible battle. Was that where they were headed. Was her clansmen really there? How many others were there? How many were they to fight to find a victory.

Then she heard this great and terrible roar, stopping, "Talon, what's that?" Was that what they were facing ultimately.

Rebels, killing and defending in the tunnels

"They're everywhere!!!" Canal yelled in his loudspeaker as he saw the Kursed pressing forward without hesitation, even if it brought death to them. But Canal was still filled with hope, strength, courage, etc. Right now he didn't care who he killed of the Kursed unless if it was someone part of the Dread Guard then hell have to do something else than killing. The whole group was being overwhelmed and sooner or later they would all be out of ammo and without ammo then you get defeat unless a miracle thing happened like a air strike or something better than that.

Still defeat never was taught to Canal and he would never accept defeat. The only thing he considered defeat was getting killed or someone breaking his winning streak in hand to hand combat but anything either than that was a no no to Canal. He then saw Calico rushing in and taking cover behind a rock and gave the signal for all Dread Guard personnel to regroup with him.

"Come one, Kallion we're going with Calico." Before he rushed to Calico's position he picked up two dual pistols and a blaster rifle that he couldn't identified but as long they were usable then there would be no problem. He grabbed as much ammo for his new weapons, slung the new rifle on his shoulders, and rushed to Calico and began to kill all hostiles with his new dual pistols.

When he was with Calico he heard his orders to kill all Kursed personnel that were entering the tunnel and saw a girl that was handcuffed who to Canal seemed crazy and out of place. No time to ask questions Canal thought to himself and began firing any Kursed that were entering the tunnels. No need to aim with accuracy since they were coming in at the same time. "Commander, would it be a good idea if I throw a detonator at the entrance point?" He didn't want to do something that was regrettable and stupid that could risk everyone's lives.
