Act III: Insurrection

The Hound

Guest
T
A twisted smirk made its way across his dirtied face. His blue eyes were cold with malice as his hand rose, concentrating his power around the body of his victim. He could have ended her with a single thought, sending her limbs in all different directions in what could have been a red explosion. Combustion was such a power he held under his belt, but that would be too easy. He wanted her to suffer, as he felt at the moment he had suffered. Though Akala clouded his mind, much of this was something that had been boiling down, deep within the young force user.

And so, with a tightening of his grip, he controlled the Force, grasping his ex-lover around her thin waist and around her throat. Tightly. He said not a word. Of course, he knew nothing of her training, and anything she could do to take away from his concentration would break him from this hold, even maybe prevent it from happening.

Rebels - Wherever the Kark Sophia and Turin Are

Like all of those who had found themselves on the world of Mandalore this day, the "how" and "why" plagued the mind of the Jedi Master. At last he remembered, he was on Chroma Zed with the love of his life, @[member="Sophia Walsh"], simply spending much needed quality time together. However, at the drop of a dime...things changed. Now, he was rising to his feet in the midst of a dark alleyway, wondering how he had gotten there. As typical, he was garbed in his MX-00 Templar Armor and wore his three lightsabers upon his utility belt. Once upon his feet, Josiah stumbled out of the alley and began to look around. Having never been to the Mandalorian capital, the world was entirely foreign...but the stench of the Dark Side was prevalent. Then, a pang of worry erupted in the rear of Josiah's mind.

"Sophia." he breathed.

She was the last person with him before waking up in the middle of the alley, and no she was nowhere in sight. Ever calm, however, Josiah strode out of the alleyway and centered his mind before beckoning the presence of the Force. He opened himself to its ebb and flow, then basked in its glorious touch upon its hearkening to his call. Through this contact, he began to seek out the signature that he knew and loved: the signature of his beloved...and upon finding her in the distance, he resolved to get to her as quickly as possible. Conventional means were too slow for the Jedi, so he simply lowered himself to one knee and centered the entirety of his mind to the task at hand. His focus, his drive, and his grasp upon the Force came to an apex and manifested in a feat of telekinetic mastery.

With but a single bound, he flew. (It's a Bird! It's a Planes! It's Josiah!!!!!!)

Known as Force Flight, the Jedi had mastered the ability quite some time in the past and utilized it for swift movement about various theatres of battle. Now it propelled him through the air faster than he could possibly sprint until he spotted the situation unfolding on the ground. A man had his hand outstretched and was beginning to utilize the Force against Sophia...Big Mistake. Josiah quickly dove into a quick descent and began to brake himself as he drew closer and closer to the ground. As he did, he reached for the first of his sabers and ignited its blade into existence. With a snap and a hiss, its stream of golden plasma erupted into place and Josiah raised the lightsaber over his head, then brought the blade down. His motion was tremendous, bearing the full momentum of his descent and was poised to rend the man in two where he stood.

The simple truth was: no one karked with his lady.

Rebels - Slaying the Dragon @[member="Antares Windu"] @[member="TiCira D'Arr Hawk"] @[member="Racket"]
Kara followed TiCira, knowing that her group would need help if they wanted to get through the day still breathing. Well, the same could be said of the other group, but she wasn't really in an infiltrating mood right now. Her blade was a blur of blue light as it whirled around to deflect blaster fire. Enemies seemed to be swarming the tunnels now which made her, somewhat begrudgingly, glad she'd decided against trying to reconnect with her fellow confederates with only one person to watch her back. That plan probably would have ended with her dying a lot.

The flash of the galdiators muzzle lit the crazed faces of the cursed as Ordo fired into the swarming zealots. The will and determination that filled him resonated with the echani womans presence and he knew it was just like degobah. Her battle meditation was already spuring them onward. Bodies of zealots lined the tunnel floor as the Mandalorian bastard son of Corellia marched forward one foot at a time. Bodies began to crunch as his armored boots planted themselves down regardless of whoor what was beneath them.

His eye were cold and focused behind the familiar T-shaped visor and the blood of the poor mercy kill was now being wetted by the life blood of their enemies. Ordo pressed and pressed onward. Ever closer to the beast Ordo knew only by name and and what his sistee had said.

Ordo didn't know or trust that this Mel and the Mandalore were not seeking their own accession. Perhaps they were simply eliminating competition. It made no difference. His hard mind and iron skin would today end either in victory or death, but, if it were to be death...then it would be such a death as those worthy of remembrance. Ordo scanned and kept moving not daring to waste a round or a breath with out making it count. The Witch and the others close behind him as he walked through the swarming death thats was the kursed. Sereval times he was hit and several time his was saved by others but he would not stop, could not stop, the price for failure was too great and the reward for success was a future, not for him, but for the galaxy itself.

"GAAAAAHHH" he Yelled as he smashed an armored boot down on a kursed ones chest and fired into its twisted visage before continuing.

Such was the battle as he walked to meet his fate and this was only the begining.

Rebel defending tunnels

"Come on kill me, I'm right here what are you waiting for?!! Kill me, kill me, kill me now!!" Canal yelled at the enemy as he fired a swarm of blaster bolts from his rifle at them. He didn't want to die right now, but he said this cause it just came out of his not to motivate the enemy which he did because the next thing you know they were all aiming at him. Enemy after enemy after enemy Canal was just killing and killing and dodging and dodging, and taking damage from the enemy.

"Enough with talking," Canal took out his shotgun and put away his rifle and just overwhelmed the enemy with his pellets. This is so much easier with killing people everywhere I'm mean come on you don't have to aim with a scattergun unlike a rifle which you want to make every blaster bolt count.

Then all of a sudden something brightened up Canal's day. A furball killing every enemy. I'm pretty sure that guy has way more kills than I do. He resumed back to killing hostiles with his shotgun and pushing forward so the little fur ball wouldn't take all the fun for himself.

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Rebels
10000 feet up (to be unique)

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!" yelled Jak as he woke up to see himself plummeting. "THhhheeeeee fraaaaaaaaaaaakkkk???" The wind rushing by his face distorted and lengthened his words to near-unintelligible-ness. Instead of looking behind him (you never look behind you in a horror film), he decided that he would attempt to land with grace. He could see - only just see - groups of... people? swarming on the ground. And he realized that the ground was coming up to meet him oh geez he had better move fast oh no no no use force blast oh god oh god oh go -

*CRUNCH*

With the sound of breaking celery, Jak made a somewhat less-than-graceful landing. Groaning, he coughed up a bit of sap and sat up. Where was he?

Looked like an attic of some sort. Yeah, there was the hole in the roof above his head. The one he had fallen through.

He coughed up a bit more, and sat up, assessing his wounds. Well, it wasn't too bad. He'd absorbed most of the shock on his chest, which was repairable. He got up, and felt over his pockets for his sabers. They were nowhere to be found.

Kark.

'They just keep coming,' Kallion thought 'how can they be so much of them?' he had to stop Firing since the barrel was heating up, almost burning his gloved hand "what's so important about this place to them," he thought as he felt the barrels heat 'what's the reason to be wasing so many troops on one area?we haven't even lost that much men ourselves.' the barrel was now a good tempeture to continue firing. Flash after flash hot plasma was sent at the enemy, searing through what armor they had on. It was becoming boring though, shoot until weapon starts overhearing, let it coll down, repeat "I hope this hurts! he yelled "you deserve it."

TUNNELS: KILL ALL DA REBELS!

With a screech Jhaega made himself known further down the tunnel. More and more of the Kursed were pooling into the tunnel: there had been so many who had buckled already, given in to the lure of Akala... They made the perfect fodder to stand in the way of the rebels, to block them off from going anywhere else. The real fun would begin once he drove them further upward, where he could spread his wings and allow terror to reign down upon them.

Opening his maw he spat fire out across the top of the Kursed, narrowly missing their bodies with carefully aimed precision. The fire itself was aimed at the likes of @[member="Ordo"] and his men, those who were trying to oppose the Kursed. But Jhaega could not permit it. Puny Beings, You Will Learn To Respect HER. You Will Fall For Your Rebellious And Traitorous Ways! Akala Will Reign Supreme! His voice was booming, it shook the tunnels causing stray debris to fall down.

Lights danced in the tunnels. Bodies were beginning to amass on top of each other as multitudes of brainwashed soldiers and commoners fell on top of each other. Zius' stance was now one foot on the back of some former guardsmen as he slashed another enemy across the chest, leaving a vibrant and scorching mark across his flesh, watching him slump to the floor in a humiliating fashion. Another mindless drone confronted the Dark Jedi with much more aggression, flailing around with a vibrosword that came near inches to his neck just before Zius himself countered the aggressor by weaving his lightsaber under his wrist, taking away both hands and hilt of the weapon, causing the fool to howl in pain and stumble back.

No mercy, advance. End it.

Footsteps clicked along the stone, accompanied by the white noise of a faint hum. A dissonant screech joins together with the brief cry of pain as the lightsaber is forced through the victim's abdomen and is yanked up through the sternum and into the chest, leaving a gaping hole as they were Force pushed down the end of the tunnel, slamming into a wall that received some spatter of blood.

Target destroyed. On to the next one.

REBELS- Tunnels With The DRAGON!!

Nyos finished off a few corrupt, then turning to see a mutha karkin DRAGON! Anger, frustration, and pure unadulterated vulgar hatred flowed through the cyborg. He hates dragons with a passion, having ran into the most cowardly of these beast in a major battle a while back.

Awe Man! Not another freaking dragon. I hate dragons. GIANT WOMP RATS WITH WINGS!!!!

Nyos shook his saber in the big lizards direction.

Tunnels nearing surface

OBJECTIVE: @[member="Jhaega"] ONLY YOU BBY

The Big Mando blasted his way through yet another Akala zealot as they grew thicker and the tunnel widened.

He would not cower, he would not bend, he would not fade. These mindless things had traded thier free will for power, and it was time they learned from their mistake!

Another fell as Ordo began swinging his empty weapon like a club and then the world shook. The screech of the dread beast echoed and reverberated in the tunnel and Ordos audio cut out briefly as his helmet's sysyems protected his ears.

He kept moving now with a zeal of his own but his movement was cut short. The great monster spat it's molten fire with the accuracy of a sniper and was aimed at Ordo and the team with him. He could do nothing to spare himself. He had pushed to far into the lead, but he could try and spare the rest.

The big Man shoved himself in direct line with the fire and leapt. The ball of flaming death struck the Mando and sent him flying back wards as the tunnel quickly began to reek of burned flesh. His body lay smoking as the armorweave jump suit overheated and fused with his flesh in areas. The smell of hot metal mixed with the stink of burned hair and meat as the Mandalorian man did the impossible, he took a breath. Struggling against the pain the force exlopded inside him as his body and mind grasped at anything for protection. He pushed his body up slowly as mucus ran from his mouth and nose. The fire had forced his big lungs and sinuses to react. A knee, then two followed by one foot the the other.

His feet beneath him he gripped his armored chest and roared. The calm cold killer from before was now a raging inferno of mind rattling pain and hate.

"JHAAAEEEEEEEGGAAAAAAAA!" he roared as he began putting one foot before the other. He pulled his Beskad and roared again for the beast. "JHHHAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEGGGAAAAAAAAAAA!" he began pumping his limbs as he slashed his way for ward and tried his jet pack.

The pack fire and he leapt at the ceiling and skimmed it as he streaked toward the great dragon.

Oryuken had been spared by HER and been given to the Dragon as one of his tools. The clones armor had been traded long ago for the mangled armors of killed Mandalorians. The hefted a huge beskad in his right and a Mandalorian Ripper in his left as he stalked forward batting weaker Krused away as the crossed his path.

'THEY ALL MUST DIE!' his mind screamed but his ability to speak was long sense lost. The silent hulk of a clone quickly stomped forward to bring death to all who dared oppose the Jhaega and HER!

The once senator of Iktotch and former pirate captain had long ago realized the futility of standing against HER. His goddess divine, Akala.

His twin blasters fired down the tunnel as his powers of precognition told him of dangers as well as where targets would move. The fools must learn to fear the GIRL! They MUST LEARN OR DIE!

Antares Windu continued forward with, @[member="Kara Avoyos"] and spun through Kursed, letting a few past him as he continued to plunge his lightsaber into them. None halted him long enough to harm him,and he decapitated what appeared to be a Mandalorian without his helmet. It was a clean strike, and his head flew across the tunnel and struck another Kursed, the sudden hit obviously unbalancing it, and Antares split the possessed person in half.

There, up ahead, he saw Jhaega, the dragon! Buti n between Antares were too many Kursed to count. He wouldn't be able to cut through all of them and then get to the dragon. No, he had to. It was the only way.

JHAEGA MUST DIE! His mind screamed at him and he continued forwards through the hordes, ignoring most of them so that he could continue forwards to @[member="Jhaega"]. He had always wanted a dragon, it was a fact, but instead of getting a dragon as a companion, he would kill one instead. If he had to. And when he leapt into the air, his lightsaber sheared a man in half.

GROUP A --- DRAGON SLAYING AND ATTACKING THE KURSED WHO ARE CHARGING AT THEM
( I'm sorry if I missed any posts directed towards the group in terms of environmental or situational attacks; it just got a bit confusing, so I'm going to set this up just so we move forward. I'm taking what Kara said about the dragon attacking and that of the most recent Kursed. At the bottom, on the spoiler tag, shows every member who is with the Dragon slayer team. Please tag accordingly and label your posts clearly.)

The tunnels shook all around, bringing bits of debris falling upon the Rebels. Blaster fire from the RacMeer and Ordo gave the resistance members a good amount of coverfire. At least until the Kursed puppets brought on by the Dragon became to come in waves to attack.

With swift hand motions, the elder witch drew forward, directing the small motley crew of heroes.

"Take down the Kursed," she said, glancing up overhead at the various vents within the warrens. "He wants to funnel us through a specific exit." came her grim realization.

However, they had experience on their side. After years of making these tunnels their home, they knew it like a Selonian knows the back of his hand. There were other ways, other exits --- and if they had collapsed... well...

Nothing a little Force couldn't help.

From memory, she recalled another method they could use to travel and exit to funnel around and perhaps surprise the Dragon from behind. "Three follow me!" she called out, moving off to the left. A small group will take care of the Kursed, while she and other three will attempt to pull the dragon from the warren's entrance.

Once they could be out in the open, the playing field would change.

So without further ado, the witch made her way towards the left, towards the direction of where the warren dug out tunnels met the reinforced tunnels of the cities underground railway systems. From there, they could take the emergency exits and stairways that would lead to the outside.

Antares's head snapped to the side. He heard the Dathomiri Witch call three people, his gaxe found @[member="Kara Avoyos"]'s and when he ran to her amidst the Kursed, he tried to grab her arm to drag her with him. The Witch needed three people, they ere two, one more was needed and Antares whether alone or with Kara continued into the side passage behind the Witch. "What is your name?" He called ahead to, @TiCira D'Aarr Hawk.

His lightsaber was still ignited in his hand and any Kursed that fired at them from ehind soon found blaster bolts being returned to them.

Rebels Dragon squad

When Sarah saw the horde of oncoming Kursed she decided it was no longer time for half measures, and took a moment to swap out her partially depleted Ecell on her light repeater, with it reloaded She swung it into line in her left hand, and started firing it 1 handed down the tunnel at maximum full auto rate. While still firing the repeater in her left hand she drew a heavy blaster pistol in her right and started shooting more accurately aimed shots with the pistol at anything that the repeater didn't take down.
Sarah was focusing on strafing shots back and forth across the width of the tunnel with the repeater, suppression on a large scale, and due to the way the Kursed were coming down the tunnel she barely needed to actually aim.
After a few moments of this and with the help of the others the Kursed should start slowing down due to the piles of bodies starting to accumulate in the tunnel.

REBELS--Defending Tunnels--Dragon slaying and stuff

Calico wasn't one to leave his boys--even if the objective demanded such. Not now, not at a time like this. That was unfair to his boys: that was abandoning his boys. The Commander stood his ground, slapping the anti-infantry attachment unto the muzzle of his DC-17. Ordnance was all the weapon was truly food for right now. "Zius, go with her. It's your game now." He called over the loudspeaker. Comms were rather shoddy at the moment.

He went down on one knee behind two mangled bodies, so abused and twisted that their allegiance couldn't be identified, and took aim. "Ga'ika, ner'vod, gebi laam!" He motioned with one hand, holding it up high, and forming it into a fist.

Three, two.....that di'kuit is flying at that osik'la--...Guts.

An unsettling heat came over the Katarn armor as over-wash from the dragon's--Jhagha-- flame. Calico made himself small under the bodies, just narrowly missing becoming a very crispy armor stick. He didn't wish to accidentally hit the man flying at the beast, so he did the only other thing he could think of. The commando stood up tall over the bodies--thump--thump--thump...

Cylindrical objects hurtled through the air toward the monster's supporting forces. Calico rapidly reloaded the 'Deece' like a machine each time it fired: pumping explosive shells in with a droid like precision. The shells crashed down into the attacking ranks, exploding in bouts of violent flame that shook the cavern almost as much as Jhaega's roar. Bits of armor and body parts flew up with dust and gravel in a grotesque aerial dance.

The fear was gone. Adrenaline was high greater than any kind of stim or spice. Calico's vision was in extreme detail, everything was so very..alive. He could barely fear the violent impacts of blaster fire burning through the energy disruption properties on his armor. It hurt, but it was a distant hurt, like it wasn't really his. He had missed this, its familiarity, its certainty. For a moment, the Commander's mind went away from his brothers, how they were going to escape, his own fear, even that disturbingly strong urge to try and comm Kira and see if she was alright. It all settled on a certain clarity, a sense that he was where he needed to be, doing what he needed to be doing.

The last shell was left cradled in the DC-17 and placed up against the corpse mound. Calico went back on one knee, firing a fallen rifle, whose origins he didn't know, and fired as more Kursed charged through the dust. Such was the way of war.

Rebels, dragon butcher squad

Oh, no. Who brought a dragon to a gun fight? Canal was in awe struck as he saw a creature he had never seen before. A karking dragon. Out of all the trouble of treasure diving, dealing with Bluejay, etc. Canal had to kill a dragon. Well more points for me when I kill this fething thing.

Canal rushed through the horde of Kursed and only killed the ones who were in his radius. Some of the gorged went on Canal's armor and helmet, thankfully the confederacy put this little attachment that can clean your visor from the blood that went on it, from the rounds of his shotgun that killed the Kursed that was in his way. From all the blaster bolts and the scorch marks on his armor Canal received, he didn't gave a single damn cause his batteries were fully charged as he was thinking of mounting the head of Jhaega on his wall back home. Almost to the finish line as he continued to push forward to reach Jhaega.

Galaar Tal'Verda

Just one more butchered soul.
Rebels - Dragonslaying in the Tunnels, booyah Homies!

Galaar was quick to act as soon as the order was give, he moved to cover right next to Calico and gave his brother a bump to his shoulder with his fist. The clone was out of ammo now, he needed another weapon, so he took the Verpine Sniper off his back and put the thing into use and place quickly.

He aimed down the sight; everything fell into focus. This was his environment behind the scope of a high-power killing machine. His breathe stalled and everything went by second by second. Even with Calico's explosions flaring around them he took shots. One down, thank Manda. Phink. Two down... A Kursed's head would explode from the silent, high powered needles fired from his sniper. His gaze fell upon a Kursed Mando diving away from the explosion; he took a shot and blood erupted from its shoulder. Three down, Calico owes me a drink. Another one running. Another shot. Another pool of blood across the ground. Four down, seven seconds. Need a tapcaf. Sev and Fi would be proud.

The he saw a red flash moving towards him, he instinctively knew what was happening. He saw Calico drop, he dropped the fire hit and he felt his unarmed face burn before it could rend flesh from his skin he hid his head against his brother's armored form. They braved these flames together, just as they braved Kamino, Geonosis, Mon Cal, Utupau, Cato, and Dantoonine.

Calico was up and he was up in exact sync. As the explosive slugs flew through the air, he lined up shots. A head bobbed in the sights. Whizz, another one down. Racking up the kills. The Commando then had to reload, such a precarious situation to do so as well. "Ca'ika! Cover me! Just like old times!"
