An interesting detour

Eshan, the planet of the warrior people. Gherron stepped out of his ship, admiring the landscape. He'd honestly always wanted to come to the planet, to discover just what it had in store for him. He'd been to so many others, but this one had a certain flavor that he just had to get a taste of. On his way out of the space port, he looked at the surrounding area. The city around him was an amazing sight. Perhaps he could grab one of those collapsible staves he'd seen his friend Alexandra wielding.

Alexander yawned as he looked around the city, smiling at people as they passed him with his hood up and his cloak pulled tight around him. He even had his collar pulled up around his mouth and nose to try and hide who he is though it was quite a pain when the guard following him did not know what relax and act normal meant. "You know, you need a vacation, you can start it now if you want?" He looked behind him, getting not so much as a acknowledgement that he had suggested the guard stop following him.

With another sigh he nearly walked right into Gherron who had he himself been looking up and around at the area, bumping right into the Jedi peacekeeper. "Ouf... sorry, i wasn't looking." He hadn't fallen over, nor ran into Gherron hard enough too, but he did dust off his cloak and then pulled it back around him again before pulling down the collar from his mouth. "Like i said, sorry about that."

Rael followed his master through the city. He too was rather in awe of all the sights and sounds. The young padawan watched in curiosity as Gherron was bumped into. He tilted his head, staring at the new comer with his unwavering yellow eyes from beneath a bone mask. "Who are you?" Rael asked. He looked to Gherron then back to the person. They don't seem like a threat. The Kaleesh's warrior instincts were kicking in, and he quickly realized he now had a better tool than instinct. Although it was practically the same thing. The Force. He gently tapped into it, as his master had taught him. While he was certainly only a novice, he didn't feel anything negative.

Gherron stumbled back a bit as a man around his own age bumped into him. Brushing himself off, he made sure te other was okay before smiling at him. "No problem, friend. Me and my padawan here are visitors. Thought I'd show him something different than temple walls for a change. Say, what's your name? I'm Gherron. This here is Rael." He gestured to the kaleesh, then proceeded to offer his hand to the new face.

He immediately felt the probe and had been around more than enough people to know that when he felt that it was either him touching someone with his empathy, but he had a good feeling that that wasn't it, or someone was touching him with their force thing. With a quick glance the only thought in his head at the moment was to get out, if the man was inside his head he would see it and hopefully do so. Meanwhile his eyes remained focused on the Jedi knight as he smiled behind his collar, the grin obscured beyond sight. "Alexander, good to meet you, as for your kaleesh apprentice it is my pleasure to meet one of your people. I have a pretty high respect for your people as well as the mandalorians, mostly an academic respect into your cultures." He returned his eyes after giving the Kaleesh a nod and looked back at Gherron. "Perhaps I can give you a tour, and ignore the man tailing me, hes a guard that i have stay about four yards behind me so that i have some sense of freedom."

Rael nodded at Alexander. He looked between him and Gherron as they talked. He looked back towards the bodyguard Alexander had mentioned, then kept looking around the city, admiring it somewhat. Very different from his homeland. Very different indeed.

Gherron eyed the man that was mentioned, having just now noticed him. Interesting... He was left to wonder what would require a bodyguard. Perhaps someone of a royal house? Or possibly even a rich family able to hire one. Either way, he paid it no mind. Nodding at the young man, he gave another smile. "Sure, we'd love that. Mind if I call you Alex?" He thought to himself then, how awkward it would be if this man and his friend Alexandra, who he also called Alex, were in the same room. Imagine the confusion.

Alexander smiled and secured the collar of his shirt over his mouth and nose and then the jacket's hood before starting off and speaking while he led them through the streets. "Well, this of course is our wonderful capital, a bit of a interesting place i know, but i rather like the stuff ive come to know." He waved his hands to the buildings around them. It was by no right the same as a city world like Taris or Coruscant, but it was still a large area for one person, his eyes scanning over the streets as he led them through it. "Sorry if im not a great tour guide, i spend a bit more time at home than i do out on the streets."

Rael followed them with interest. He was rather excited to get to see this new place. He looked to Alexander. "What are the more interesting places around here?" He intently listened for a response, as he looked around at all of the interesting creatures on this planet. Some of them he had never even seen. Let alone heard of. He looked to Gherron to see if he was as enthralled as the Kaleesh.

Gherron smiled at his padawan's interest. He had to admit, he was just as eager to learn more about this planet. Unconsciously, he had pulled out his sketchbook, and had begun jotting down little notes with illustrations of th buildings around them. However, seeing the expanse of city only made him wonder what the nature looked like. He could go for a nice view of whatever forestry they had. At the comment about being a bad tour guide, he simply smiled and shook his head. "That's alright. You're doing a pretty good job so far."

Sad part was, he didn't really know what they considered interesting because that was obviously something of an opinion and to him the most interesting places about Eshan weren't its cities but the wide open areas outside them. While Eshan's population was only in the billions, that allowed for a large population. But as they walked he pointed out building after building, a corporate office for the Eshan Drive Yards, a Military academy, all the greats that normal people care about.

Rael listened intently. Honestly, it was starting to get a little boring, but he didn't want to offend Alexander at all. Instead, he looked at Gherron every so often, giving him a little look from underneath his tribal bone mask. He thought his master knew him well enough to understand it. The Kaleesh was trying to ask questions, but couldn't come up with any good ones. So, he settle for rather simple ones. Like: "What is that building's purpose?" Or, "How old is that?"

Gherron eventually decided to ask about the nature around Eshan. After all, he could see the look of desperation in his padawan's eyes, and he himself also wanted to see something new. "Hey, Alex, are there any forests around? Maybe even lakes, waterfalls?" The last idea was more spur of the moment. He didn't know what calmed him so much about waterfalls. The sound of the rushing water just soothed him.

Alexander's eyes brightened instantly as he looked at his guard who sighed and waved his hand knowing what the young man was thinking. "Why, yes and i know the best place to find it. I do hope you don't mind sneaking around a noble's estate though?" The young man already figured they told the truth about being Jedi so he had no quarrel with bringing them to his home but none the less it was still a small worry of his parent's because of his constant need to help others with the food stores. Thankfully most of the guards were on his side after all that but also liked to make sure people weren't taking advantage of Alexander. "I mean, you wont get killed for trespassing, but id rather the owners of the estate not see us."

Rael nodded, giving a creepy kaleesh smile. "That sounds fine with me!" Gherron had introduced his padawan to the loveliness of grass, and trees, and lakes and waterfalls. Things that were a rare sight on his planet. Rael and his master had even ha their first lesson at a lake. That was where he had first learned exactly what the Force could do. Rael seemed rather lost in his thoughts as they walked.

Gherron couldn't help but smile at the enthusiasm of the kaleesh. Ever since he'd shown him the joy of all things nature, the guy went nuts over it. Though, he really couldn't blame him. Gherron was somewhat of a nature freak as well. He loved anything that had to do with being in forests and such. At the mention of sneaking around, he grinned to himself. He'd had plenty of fun times sneaking where he wasn't supposed to go.

"You Jedi are weird... I would think you guys would have some morals." He yawned and rubbed his eyes as he grinned and looked at them. "Do keep up, don't want to get lost in the crowd and we got to get back to the estate before the family that lives there returns from their outing." In truth he wanted to get them in and out before his family returned, which meant sprinting for it. Luckily, he had to do alot of running in his life.

Rael kept following Alexander until they got to the estate. The kaleesh ignored the comment about Jedi not having morals. In his time he had spent with them, he had quickly learned they had more morals than most other groups or species around the galaxy. He looked over to Gherron, then back to where they were walking, making sure not to get too far behind Alexander.

Gherron felt a small grin appear on his face at the comment on morality. "Oh, we have plenty of morals. Doesn't mean we can't have a little fun every now and then. It's doing stuff like this that prepares us for the real situations." He shrugged a little, picking up the pace when the Echani started his sprint. Keeping up after him with a brisk jog, he never fell back more than a few feet. "That's the way I see it, anyway."

He grinned and looked back at the Jedi with a knowing smile. "You guys sure to like to twist words now, don't you." He was joking, the fact obvious, but he stilll liked to touch at others like Jedi or Sith... preferably the first as long as it meant he got to keep his head from rolling. In a few minutes though, and after passing a few guards who looked once at Alexander before he waved them off. They were soon in sight of the water and trees that were on the estate that belonged to his family. "Ok, we got about two hours before the owners arrive."
