Basically what I am saying is everyone should get to play with dinos
I can't do anything about folks computers not being up to spec, but the game itself, that I can fix ;p
Also! Just to be clear, you do not have to play with the Northern tribe or even on the Chaos server if you don't wanna, don't feel obligated! Do whatcha want!

It is less hard than the official servers. I am told taming some dinos can take like.. 7 hours plus officially, versus like, 5 minutes with Tef's settings. Plus I think we get more resources per gather, I know we get more points so we can learn all the skills and blueprints.
Dinosaurs will still eat you, but otherwise much quicker
For someone with a job or school to spend 13 hours standing guard over a dinosaur in order to tame them.. Kinda difficult
The majority of folks are in the Southern region, I am told it's easier to start there. Me, Draco, Norrin and Ult are up in the North. Because we didn't know any better and we're not moving now ;p

It was a mistake... I spawned near the base that had been on the other server, only to explore there and find a raptor that quickly ate me...
I wasn't going to move south, after all I had spawned up here and had been working hard to make a base. Just glad I haven't been killing by another player yet... yet... :lol:

Fortunately, I was not playing ARK when the computer blew, I believe that I am in the little house that you made me. (Thanks again! It took quite a beating from a Sarco but didn't break and kept me safe until I led the croc to Bruce, who finished it off. Yay Bruce!)

I am glad that you put houses everywhere, though it makes respawning in the right place a little interesting.
I appreciate it. I don't know why there are so many critters coming my way. I guess they want to head south for the winter and they just happen to come via the beach.

True thing which I just figured out a few days ago; you can name beds, so you know you're spawning at the right place.

I'm going to be gone this weekend, starting tomorrow until Monday night. Would you keep an eye on Paraples, Paracella and Deimos? The first is a parasaur, the second a stego, the last a pteranadon. All will be at the main base.

Will do! Though unless you've been on today the Pteradon may or may not be gone. Of the like.. 6 that were in the base we have one left after the Splatterpusses most recent visit... And Dracos raptor is gone.
But whatever is there I will keep an eye on!

I dropped off the baby Rexes at your houses, we killed a Rex on the way there, and just as I was turning off the follow to leave them there a level 98 Carno crashed in and started trying to eat your stuff. He did not last long

This is why you need your own Rex! Then you look at Alpha Raptors and Carnos and go 'Mmmmm, experience' that's like, 10 levels per kill!
But yes, less great until you have a Rex of your own ;p

Tell me, is it wiser to stay inland or on the beach at the beginning? Or does it matter?
