I'd say for the most part you wouldn't. If you wanted something specific beyond basics, you'd need a tech sub. I'd sub the custom ammo anyway to be on the safe side as you don't see SW mentions of explosive arrows - list everything you've got in a single tech entry. Even if it's mentioned in the arrow article (linked here), you may do things differently, and since the article is so vague, you'd probably need to anyway.

If you want a sword then why not just augment a normal vibrosword or something?

So I was looking through Wook and noticed that a few of the pages had a section cut off saying that it may not be considered cannon because it was from a game or considered "alternate story" and I was wondering if the site considers these sections cannon?

I'm no RPJ, but when the wookiee has a section like that it's usually referring to the history of the game in question, not the technology. We can assume the tech, or possibility of tech, still exists it just wasn't used/made. However it should be noted that staff usually treats game-tech as secondary to everything else.
