In short, not feasible. The closest equivalent SW has to mechs is Walkers, the type of thing that got pulled down and taken over by ewoks on Endor.

If I wanted to make something that was ancient, would discovering the weird relic count as a dev thread, provided I'm shooting for unique production? Or would you also want me to reverse engineer the thingamawhatsit? I'm asking for future projects, I'm not working on anything right now.

@[member="Vorhi Alestrani"] - A dev thread simply has to involve the item in a wider plot. You can work on your thing the way you have in mind. Just reference the fact you'll make something out of it and you'd be good.
