"Tihaar? I'd be using it for marinating if, for some reason, I needed to cook sterile food. With fresh ingredients, you cannot guarantee their hygiene. As for mead, I'd be using it for recipes that call for honey. For the time being, anyway, I'll be drinking the tablespoon of tihaar"
Sometimes hygiene had priority over taste or even form in a survival situation, but since Mandos used it to degrease or disinfect (probably more for degreasing than disinfecting but tihaar definitely was used for disinfection), it wasn't much of a stretch to be using tihaar as some sort of ingredient for marinating, but it was by no means the only one. [member="Iturizu Yuvie"] watched carefully for intoxication signs as Varindar sipped the tihaar, expecting rapid intoxication or some such thing, although she expected only buccal inflammation; she only drank one glass of mead before that. And then... ouch. Her tongue was hurting but she wasn't drunk by any stretch: perhaps that's something she thought a round of some non-alcoholic beverage could fix. She thus didn't hesitate one second as to which drink she would like to drink: lime soda, which was a cocktail ingredient for the Mirialan Martini, a green cocktail that she saw being prepared for, and consumed, by the other Mirialan customer in attendance. Varindar would probably want a glass of the green ingredient for herself at this point...
"Can I have a lime soda please?"
