Not normally one to watch for auctions, especially questionable ones, Camellia Swift was not the sort of girl to pass up on the word that quite rare artifacts were to be found at this one. Several enticing ones at that, though the head of Rendili Stardrive wasn't going to expend the company's capital on buying a load of antiques. There was a reason for the interest after all, and that was how much political capital artifacts were worth in their own right. Enough to drop a few credits on. At least within reason. Honestly she was surprised people were bidding as much as they were on the objects in question. If it was for their personal use they needed to have an incredible paycheck to recoup the expenditure. A galaxy spanning company that did business with worlds from the Core to the Outer Rim could do much with the sway the promise of an artifact could provide and easily makeup the loss of credits in a few sales considering how much starships sold for. People likely forgot the
Nebula B frigate in its hayday cost a whopping 8,500,000 credits. The Old Imperial Destroyers cost twenty times that!
If someone was looking to spend so much without a means of making up that revenue she envied their courage. Who knows what a group backing them would do if they couldn't be repaid. She was glad she didn't have to worry about that and only stood to gain within reason.
So with her evaluation of the situation complete, she signaled for her bid to begin.
Revan's Mask - 6.5 Million Credits
Down Payment of a set of Battlemaster Phrik Combat Armor, Replete with Armorweave Cloak and Electrostaff.
As well as the promise of a custom starship within reasonable construction.
Sitting back, the Rendili woman found it interesting to barter alongside a credit transaction. it meant bidding more credits wasn't always better, having the better offer could more than make it up. So in truth she was putting up the price of a starship along with a down payment of large sum of credits.
