Codex Q&A

Can I make an NPC sub for a pet non sentient that I want to be more indivisualized than the base species as long as I reference the original sub, obtain the permisson of the creator, and stay within the species's logical limits?

I created the Cadi System, it's primary planet in the submission was Alexandria. When creating the remaining submissions for the other planets in the system do I just give the same coordinates or tag the primary submission?

You can do both. You will not be able to get every single planet added to the map however as there is a limit of allowance per hex. I would simply reference the main system sub in each new planet sub and only add the system to the map.

For locations the place I am making is a structure now but for its history it was a military facility that when conquered was made into a palace to show the rulers might.

Is there a way to hybrid the temple or just do one and reference the other or fill out both?

You may submit it as a structure since that is its present use and purpose. If it has fortifications you will be expected to list those out within the template. I would also recommend referencing that it was a military facility within the history section.

There are several sentient plant species in canon. Offhand the Neti and Zelosians are sentient plants, though there are probably others. If you want to have your own player-made sentient plant species that will require a species submission.

Technically, no, nothing is stopping you. However due to how Dragons, Santa Claus, and Zillo Beasts were retroactively banned I'd say you'd have a couple days of fun, you'd get reported, and then it would be a rule. Furthermore I would never approve a sentient planet species, and Zenoma Sekot could be considered a canon character.

There is no official answer to this.

The Mara Corridor was created through extensive development spearheaded by [member="Jorus Merrill"]

You might talk to him to get more details on how he went about it as I wasn't part of the project. However, he did this when Chaos was new and the map was decently empty. With the crowding we see now, I make no promises that any efforts to create another hyperlane even with substantial dev will be catered to on the map.

You may also want to speak directly with the Map Admin, [member="Cira"]

PM me and let's talk turkey. I've spoken with basically every admin about this at one point or another, in all sorts of permutations and combinations. So I'm pretty sure I can give you an idea of whether a given project has a shot of ending up on the map, and what kind of development might be required. At the very least I can talk about how much work [member="Alna Merrill"] and I did for the Mara, and how much of that line was actually us.

Quick question.

I've been working on a planet that will have several subbed native species. One relevant point in this planet's history is the coming of a Sith Lord a few thousand years ago, in the time of the ole Sith Empire, who set up shop for awhile on the planet. I intended to make it so part of the reason this Sith Lord was so hated by the locals was the fact that he had the tendency to create monsters and experiments utilizing Sith Alchemy and Sorcery, then proceed to release them on the wild. Therefore, I intended to sub one or two non-sentient sithspawn creatures that inhabit the area that that Sith Lord used to live. However, then I began reading the codex development thread guide and saw that Sith spawn races require 50 posts of development. Does this also apply to non-sentient sithspawn creatures that were not created by a PC and are basically just being used for fluff?

Thanks in advance for your answer!
