Conquest of Alderaan [One Sith vs Republic]

Time was growing shorter by the second, this was accentuated by the steady beating sound in the distance and the ground shaking irregularly, as if something huge was walking around the place. Didn’t really sound all too well, and Sardun wasn’t planning to stick around and find out what was coming. He watched as the twi’lek woke up, and moved away from him, as if she was afraid.

Which wasn’t all that strange, waking up exhausted and sapped from your powers in the midst of ruins and destruction, in close proximity to some guy you never met before? Ain’t that strange to be a bit scared, still… this wasn’t the time to dally.

‘I don’t mean you harm, lass. Merely here to help, will you allow that?’

Clock was ticking.

Location: Medcenter ruins still
Objective: Help [member="Kiyron "]not get killed by [member="Darth Acarus"]

After recollecting himself and making sure he had no injuries, Shuk Swii returned to the general area where the Medcenter once sat. A red skinned Sith was pretty much obliterating what appeared to be a friendly. For some reason, he hadn't ran when Sith showed up with fifty foot supermonsters. The Gand' smultifaceted eyes moved between the red skinned Sith and the man in front of him, who seemed to be int he process of being crushed by a... something or other. The Gand nodded, before swiping another small rock off the ground. Because that worked so great the first time. The Gand stayed behind his minor cover of a good size d piel of rubble, and flung the rock in the direction of Acarus, hoping to distract him.

She became more aware of her surrounding and of the noise of the battle. Eyes flicked about her, then settled back on her would be rescuer. Every instinct screamed at her to deny his help but she fought against the less intelligent part of her personality. She nodded, though there was still fear on her face. She was taking steps into dangerous territory, but it had to be done. Her survival depended on it.

She reached out a hand, so he could help her to her feet.

Location: Out side the library
Enemy: a uncontrolled star fight heading her way
Allies: speed

She could see the course of the ship, she had manged to turn it away from the library. Though know it was heading towards her, straight at her. It was time to remember the better part part of valour, RUN AWAY. So she got started sprinting away, as fast as she could. She began to infuse her muscles with the force, to try again a bit more a distance. Then she heard a loud noise BOOM, she then felt a shock wave hit her. It sent her flying, into a building wall, she could feel her body crunch against it.

She then fell down to ground, and slumped over. She began try meditate, through the pain. To activate her healing artifact. Then she realized her leg was facing the wrong way. She reached out with her arms then put it straight, as she did she screamed in pain. She lent back what was left the wall, meditated activating her sith healing amulet.

Myr watched as the Hand of the Dark Lord conjured weapons from seeming nothingness. To Myr it seemed as though the darkside of the force itself was twisted and changed before his very eyes.

Through his Force Sight he saw the blade come from the power of the darkside, he watched it pulse and surge with the Darkside of the Force. He felt himself called to the blade somehow, interested in how this was possible. With slow deliberate movements he began to try and gather strength within his palm just as Helios had. He watched it, the strength of the Darkside flowing into his palm until something began to appear within his hand.

Though no ordinary person could see it, to Myr a small spear had formed within his hand.

It pulsed slightly, a blade made entirely of the Darkside of the Force. He smiled, his lips cracking and breaking, drips of blood falling into his mouth. He had learned something, destroyed a palace, and taken a world today.

How exciting.

Objective: Get the girl to safety
[member="Eleena Miho"]

The Force rolled through the environment and with it the omen of defeat, Alderaan… seemed to steadily become a lost cause. It didn’t mean that fighting was hopeless, it just meant that priorities had to be met right now. This girl had proved herself to be a hero, even if she didn’t realize it herself right now, she needed to be brought into a safe location. After that… Sardun would try to come back and save more people.

He carefully reached out towards the twi’lek and his strong hand wrapped around her petite one. ‘All will be well, the Force is with us.’ Sardun said without a shred of irony or sarcasm, they would get out alive, it was known.

With ease Sardun pulled her to her feet and gave her a nod, she was stronger than she appeared that much was for sure. Still a bit scared, but appreciative of the situation and the fact that it ain’t time to play around trust issues right now, suggested intelligence.

‘Name’s Sardun, got one yourself, miss?’ While speaking, he started to walk towards the exit, paying good attention to his surroundings. Wouldn’t due to get ambushed right now.

Music: Warsong theme - World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor soundtrack

Kaine's gaze would swivel from Isolda over to the smoldering city in the distance, plumes of thick smoke rising up from its depths like blood gushing from a wound. His smile would widen as he witness the destruction of the Republic forces down below, but he was better than that to assume that victory was all but assured yet. The Republic could be tenacious if they wanted to, and the fight was far from over. However; that didn't mean he couldn't sit on the edge of the battle and enjoy the spectacle for a few moments with his favorite prophetess. "It is a beautiful sight, my dearest Isolda, one worthy of a poem. I think I shall have my most talented poets work on one once our victory is total and complete. Do you not think that would be grand?" He let loose a hearty, guttural chuckle accompanied by the music of a far-off explosion, and perhaps the Sith Lord's voice was so potent that his laughter might even carry across the fields of battle nearby.

Suddenly his attention would quickly be diverted back to Isolda, and for a small moment he was confused by what Isolda meant by the queen, but comprehension quickly dawned upon him. He could sense it too now, and he laughed even harder than he did in reference to the poem about Alderaan's downfall. "Then let her come, and I will show her the power of a true monarch. To be quite honest, my dear, I have been hungering for a chance to fight Jacobs for quite some time. I think it will be good for me to unleash some of these pent up emotions... Ehehehe."

Eleena followed close to Sardun her own eyes scanning their surrounding. Eyes swung round to settle on his face, so warm and kind. She was loathed to trust him. People were never as kind nor gentle as they first seemed. She lost her footing, snatching out for his arm and steadying herself.

Trust was all she had now. Trust was everything she had to gain.

"Miho." she replied letting go of his arm "Eleena Miho."

They picked their way carefully but quickly from the ruins. By the time the reached the edge, Eleena's legs gave way and she sank to the floor. "I can't." she breathed closing her eyes, unable to find the willpower to get up.

Kymaero had the Dark Blades form a defensive perimeter as a swarm of locusts, the sizeable carrier squadrons, were deployed in a bubble surrounding the Dark Blades. The fleet resumed it's spherical arrangement with the four Dark Blades maintaining a line facing the approaching Republic fleet.

The Fleet Commander's peg leg tapped the deck, and smoke puffed out from his hooka. Clearly a fire hazard.

"Prep the Dark Blades for launching sequence. Target: their command ship."

"Launch initiated, Admiral."

"Scramble all fighter squadrons."

"Most of them are already scrambled, Admiral."

C.I.C. stood silent. Awkwardly silent. The peg leg tapped on the deck, echoing throughout the vibrations of durasteel.

"Belay my last, Admiral. All Fighter Squadrons scrambled."

"Progress report on the transports."

"Closing in on the planet's orbit. Under fire from planetary anti-vessel weaponry. Casualties estimated at 5% and climbing rapidly.

"An acceptable loss."

"Get me a back channel to their Commander."

"Channel secured. They're listening."

Kymaero approached the bright blue screen before him, his peg leg tapping the deck and a trail of smoke following his approach.

"Esteemed Commander of the Allied Forces of the Galactic Republic," he began. "I entreat you to surrender. There is no need for this bloodshed. We've come for the Jedi Order, and seek an end to their criminal elements. Freedom, Commander. Freedom from tyrants like your Grandmaster Halcyon, who destroyed half a galaxy in her reckless pursuit of war. Freedom from Grandmaster Carn Dista, from Grandmaster Dragonsflame. Liberation from the clutches of these... war criminals. Why do you fight for these men? Why do you cling to this... celebration, no... this worship of these traitors to your Republic? Your Supreme Chancellor is controlled, men and women of the Republic. Puppeteered.

Turn over these criminals and we will lay down our arms."

Kymaero stood silently watching the blue screen for if there would be a response.

As the two troopers pulled them down into the building, they were unsuspecting of the incoming projectile fire. One of the shells landed nearby, sending a hail of shrapnel through the air. Both guards dropped their charges and instinctively turned to look at what had just blown up. When they did, they were blown back and filled with bits of shrapnel and debris. The two Echani women were largely saved by the fact that they were both on the ground, but something slammed into Teria and caused her to grown.

A stun blast on a normal, healthy individual could last anywhere from ten minutes to an hour. For Teria, who'd been wearing armor, it lasted closer to the ten minutes. She was wounded thanks to the lightning, burn marks pocking her body, but she was alive, and she slowly woke from her forced slumber.

When she lifted her head to look around, and saw where they were, everything flooded back to her. The first thing she did was look for Niamh, but she was lying unconscious a few feet away. The two guards were down for the count, so she crawled over and grabbed their weapons before returning to Niamh. She checked the womans vitals, which were strong though the woman wouldn't stir, and then pushed herself to her feet. For a moment she was shaky, but she could move. In the chaos of the shelling, she had a moment of respite.

It didn't last long, though, as she reached down to grab Niamh, holding her with one arm and one of the blaster rifles with the other. She started to make her way through the halls and away from the fighting outside. It was time they made their getaway.

The offer came over the holocom. If Stahlmann was not so angry he’d have found it amusing.
“I have a counter offer for you, Sith. Cease your attack on our world, leave and never return. Do so, and you will live. Fail to do so, and we will exterminate you like the filth you are. You speak of warmongering, then what is this? We will fight you in space and in orbit, we will fight you in our cities and our fields and we will never surrender.”
He cut the link. There would be no peace with the invaders. Not ever until they left.

“Order the cruisers to open fire! Target those dreadnoughts at the front. Bring up the other ships. Launch all fighters. Captain Tamil, take the Ossus, Tython and Illum to the right flank with some supporting escorts. Get onto their flank and enfilade them. All ships, launch fighters and interceptors, bombers ready to launch. All ships, prepare to open fire.”

OBJECTIVE: Are Chistori like turtles?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Another voice came into the fray, this time from the outside realms. Let me help you. Sarcasm? Genuine? A touch of dry wit? Some smack talk? It was difficlt to tell. The Chistori looked up to find himself confronted with a...blonde woman...? Well, that's hardly the most frightening prospect for large dinosaur men, is it? Although, books and covers, that nonsense. I'm a blunt force reptile, deep thought is not my forte, sir.

He found himself harmlessly flipped, as if he were a toddler. A grave insult to a proud Chistori flirting with the edges of survival.

Mantorok opened his mouth to roar vicious threats at the woman who manhandled him with the Force but found that no sound came out. The amphistaff still remained draped around his shoulders, coiled just once around his considerable neck. However he remained seated upon the ground, a slow trickle of bloody leaving the holes punched in his vonduun crab armour.

“Aaaaaand whhhhyyyyyy woooould yoooou heeeeelp meeeeeee?”

Oh, that tricksy worm.

Vulpesen growled and dashed after [member="Alexandra Cinthra"]. "Always getting herself into trouble. Every karking time!" His saber lit in his hands and his arms and body whirled to defend her. Debris and blaster fire ceased their effect on her as Vulpesen defended his friend as best as he could. "STOP BLOWING HOLES IN MY FRIEND!" He growled and hurled one dagger deep into the side of a particularly feisty soldier who dropped tot he ground, crying in pain.

The dino flipped and Spencer couldn't help but chuckle lightly. This creature was part of the great Sith Army that attacked Alderaan? It was hard to believe but there had been odder things in this world than a helpless creature such as this. Feeling bad about being cruel to it, she didn't continue to harass it too much. Looking around at the rubble, she quickly used the force once more to hurl stones at it at least to keep it from moving too far. It would hopefully lock down the beast so that Alderaan police could snag it up or the Jedi could capture him.

Stepping back, she surveyed the damage. They had taken out a hospital, a place that wounded and sick were healed. Frowning, Spencer looked away from the crushed building watching as what it seemed retreat orders were probably handed out to one of the sides. By the way the air felt, she figured the Republic was getting out with whatever dignity they had left. Pondering if she should leave, Spencer felt the small charmed necklace around her neck and thought of her family – she should leave and keep herself safe, but right now she was something of a Jedi. She had an objective and she was going to complete it.

Taking in a deep breath she searched the force for the plagued tendrils of the woman's influence and through the force she made herself known rather brightly to her. Spencer needed something, either for the woman to rise from her cushioned seat or for a route for Spencer to take herself. Either way, Spencer will come face to face with this Temptress of the Dark.

Where are you, are you hiding behind the high walls of your devoted slaves? Coward – just like all the others

[SIZE=12pt]What could she offer? They wanted into the throne room but there was nothing there now except an empty room. When she had been in there just last week listening to the Nobles plead cases before the Queen she noted how open, cold, and so unlike Alderaan that room felt.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Only the Queen could tell them to leave, and perhaps be laughed at. Or tell the Republic to leave. But that would put them under control of the Sith. They were a Republic world. She felt chills run down her arms.[/SIZE]

Michael nodded, more to himself than to her, when she told him her name. It wasn’t particularly clear to him if it was her real name, or just one she used until she would trust him more. Not that it really mattered right now, instinctively he steadied her, his eyes still scanning the environment.

‘Careful.’ which was the only word he spoke, until they arrived at the outskirts of the ruins, until she reached the last portions of her energy and fell down. More ground had to be scaled though, and she wouldn’t be able to do it while crawling.

Again he nodded towards her and said: ‘Alright, I will carry you then.’ Sardun didn’t wait for her reply, instead scooping her up. Strong arms, hardened from days, weeks, years of practice with the sabre, held her relaxed; making sure she would stay comfortable.

Then he started walking again, carefully picking his way up and outside the ruins.

Allies: [member="Darth Banshee"]'s soldiers and ship

The amphibian left [member="Fadeyka"] to his soldiers and marched in the direction of the field hospital, his armored boots thudding against the rubble on the ground. As expected, the wounded of both sides poured in the hospital without stopping, their large number not giving the doctors enough time to save everyone. Those soldiers with light wounds had to wait until the treatment of those with much more serious wounds had finished, and so far it seemed like that was not going to happen anytime soon. All Veles could do was to offer one of the doctors his medpac, as he did not need it right now. The man accepted it with a silent thanks and left to tend to his patient, leaving the Mon Calamari alone, or as alone as one could be among hundreds of beings.

That was exactly what prompted Veles to swiftly turn on his heels and stride into Lady Banshee's ship. Hundreds of soldiers presented an excellent target for the Republic artillery and armor. Knowing the Republic, they never took any prisoners, so Veles had no doubt they would not hesistate to shower their own wounded soldiers in deadly fire if it meant killing just one enemy.

Walking up the ramp, the Sith Master made his way to the Lady Banshee's companion, an Imperial who was currently in charge of the ship and stood in the cargo bay, giving orders to a dozen of soldiers. "Captain," Veles spoke and watched the man turn to him, giving him a salute, "Immediately take the ship off. We have to look for the enemy reinforcements and artillery positions. Once we find anything, we use this ship's ion cannons to eliminate the threat." Veles ordered and moved through the ship to the cockpit to watch as they slowly parted with the land, moving up to the sky. Several blaster bolts hit the window and he calmly gazed at the shots bouncing off the ship's shields. On enough height has been reached, the ship's engines roared and the Dragon's Breath moved forward, ripping through the air while Veles' cybernetic eye watched the environment as the ship circled around.

When the cannons fired again, the artificial replacement for the Mon Cal's eye picked the flashes coming from the mountains. "Head to the mountains. Ready the weapons." He said his commands and clasped his hands behind his back. It was time to put an end to the hiding opponents.

At the outskirts of the palace, a large figure sat gazing through a pair of binoculars. It was a huge, armored thing that looked less like a creature and more like an odd shaped vehicle. If it weren't for the Hutt head poking out the top of the armor, it would have looked more like a machine than anything living.

Popo dropped the binoculars down and looked at the palace once more. It had fallen to the One Sith troops with minimal resistance, but it would not stay that way. He picked up a commlink and activated it for a secure, Republic channel.

"All Republic and Jedi forces around the palace and on the steps," he called into the mouthpiece. "Hit the dirt!"

With that, he lifted a single arm and dropped it.

Behind him, a battalion of Reliant-class tanks opened fire on the grounds and steps of the Alderaan palace.

The Supreme Chancellor turned and looked at the Grand Master of the Jedi Order next to him.

"Shall we go and reclaim what isn't theirs, Miss Grayson?"
