Conquest of Alderaan [One Sith vs Republic]

Darth Odium

Location: Palace Steps
Objective: Wounding the Dragon
Enemies: [member="Ryan Korr"], [member="Kiskla Grayson"]? Republic whoever.
Allies: [member="Quinn Vos"]

Odium slipped the dagger into his sleeve as he moved forward. The sudden explosion and feeling of his apprentice colliding with him did little to halt his mind from its desire to give a gift to the fire haired Jedi. Odium quickly escaped from beneath the Kiffar warrior and ensured she was alright briefly, then for Korr's benefit Odium kissed Quinn on the cheek, before he looked toward the man that had taken his foot on Korriban.

<<Come now Ryan.>> he said through the force as he ignited one end of his lightsaber staff.

He increased his speed as he moved and called on the force to unleash his hate on the boy who had once called him friend. Odium, a Shii-cho, practitioner was already visualizing the battle as he closed. Korr would soon have a gift for his work on the Sith tomb world.

Kezeroth's Giant armored body pivoted and turned quickly while he ran, Knocking over some people and troopers in his way. The Gen'Dai held his Light-Pike close to him having the Crimson Blade light his wake. The 8'5ft Monster Rampaged his way to catch up with [member="Darth Odium"] It seemed he was way faster then Kezeroth and would take little more time getting to him. Meanwhile he was killing as many people in his area, Citizens that were lost in chaos and Troopers. Cleaning the Area up. Letting out a mighty Roar the Gen'Dai increased his hustle to [member="Darth Odium"] He wanted to make sure he got some Jedi combat.

"Cease fire!" barked Popo into the commlink he carried.

Roaring sounds along with resounding cracks and loud 'ripping' noises came from within the structure. As the fire died down, Popo watched in dismay as portions of the palace began to crack and then topple. The noise was deafening and the dust cloud raised was massive enough to block off most of the palace from view.

The Hutt watched with a sinking heart as a tower fell from above the dust cloud and shattered on the ground below. The palace was destroyed. They'd failed to retake it before it was destroyed. Alderaan... was lost.

Or so it seemed. As the dust cloud began to settle, Popo's heart soared at what he could see revealed.

Sections had come down and a tower had fallen, but the Palace still stood. Broken, battered, and war-torn, but still standing. The explosions must have come from set charges, it was the only thing he could think of, but either the placement had been shoddy or the amount hadn't been sufficient. Luck was with them this day.

"Armored units, support the assault!" Popo shouted to the troops. "Men and Women of the Republic! Take! That! Palace!"

Hundreds of war cries tore from the throats of the brave men and women of the Grand Army of the Republic and, with them, Popo's own. The Republic was still fighting. The Republic was still kicking.

They would not go quietly into that good night.

Location: Near Medical Centre
Objective: Eliminate Straglers
Allies: One Sith
Enemies: Republic - [member="Kiyron"]

Lily and Venus Rose kept overwatch, even after the destruction of the medical facility. Thirteenth floor, residential block. Window sill occupied by the twin sisters, sniper and spotter. The few Republic troopers that arose from the ruins were gutted down by the Sith, troopers or in the crosshairs of Lily's rifle. Everything became eerily quiet this far from the fighting, three hundred meters. It was not the idealistic distance from the fighting, but it was far enough that none had noticed the sniper team. Lily trailed her scope along a member of Havoc Squad, drearily remembering her time with them. Lily kept her crosshairs on Kiyron, and when he struck out; she fired.

Objective: Escape Near Medical Center

Nodding to the Mon as she took off her armor full. "There, sir." , finding it a bit on the said of not liking being in her underwear. At less she could prove to this stupid sith that she was not armored or had any surprise up any of her sleeves. Finding herself only after a few more minutes. On the march to the make shift medical center. It wasn't bad enough, but she knew that there would be other of the doctors and nurses that didn't make it there. Why does the sith logic was back ass. Blow up the medical center and then throw a make shift make prefect since then just taking over the mecial center that was full of all kind of advance supplies including batca.

Looking over to the soldier that was carrying her own set of armor, and weapons. Knowing what her task would be to get out of this nightmare. Not knowing what kind of supplies they would have for her to work with it would be just field kits or some more advance equipment. Cut short was something what come to a surprise as she hit the ground hard from a shaking. Out of nowhere came something of a blur as she was a whirl wind. Coming at all the sith soldiers, making their fall one by one.

Hello, beauty

Kicking at the soldier that laid to her left. Finding her pieces of armor as she looked at them all around. Quicken herself to piece each together. " That is better." , looking at those around coming towards the other prisoners. Following herself to a bit of another way to start something else as she pick up some of their weapons.

"Sir," one of the officers aboard the Dragon's Breath said to get the Mon Cal's attention. "What is it," the amphibious Sith Master asked and walked over to the man, his large amber eyes staring at the officer before darting towards the console. "Sir, we have picked a large enemy force moving towards the palace on our radars." Glancing at the small monitor in front of the man, Veles looked at it himself. Republic reinforcements have finally arrived and it was time to deliver a final blow to the morale of the opposing force. Taking over the artillery would give the Sith a major advantage over the battlefield, letting them rain fire on the Republic forces.

Veles looked up, his empty gaze not focusing on anything in particular. The bridge went silent, awaiting his decision. As much as he wanted to destroy the artillery in the mountains, he believed the reinforcements to be more of a threat right now, as his brave brothers and sisters risked being surrounded. Taking over the artillery would take too much time, time they could spend by wreaking havoc upon the Republic tanks. On the other hand, not silencing the artillery provided the Republic with an option to cut the Sith forces off and have them between tanks and artillery fire. He had to act fact and immediately. The cybernetic eye glanced outside, looking at the mountain and taking several pictures of the area. "Continue the course towards the mountain," Veles finally said, breaking the silence. "Drop me off, then immediately turn the ship around and attack the Republic forces," the Mon Calamari ordered, his eyes sternly looking over the crew on the bridge. “Yes, sir!” the captain said in response and everyone returned to their duties, only Veles made his way towards the cargo bay, waiting for the ship to reach its destination. It could be felt and heard as the ship suddenly slowed down significantly and upon pressing the button next to him and opening the door, it could be seen as well. Despite knowing the risk of jumping out, the Mon Calamari Master did not watch the running image of trees for long. Sprinting, he tossed himself out of the ship, massing the Force inside his body and slowing down the fall that would have been fatal for many non-Force users.

Not only the Force, but the cybernetics in his body as well helped him to land relatively safe and unharmed. Immediately after his booted feet touched the ground, Veles found himself rolling rolling into the nearby bushes as he heard the incoming sound of many boots coming to check out the disturbance and shoot whatever the ship might have dropped behind their lines, followed by a chaotic fire into the sky. The cybernetic eye cast a brief glance at the ship, its shields not letting anything damage the plating. The pilots followed his command and the Dragon's Breath slowly turned around and headed the way it came from, flying towards the gathering of Republic forces. Knowing they were safe, the amphibious Sith manipulated the light and sound around his body to disappear to the naked eye and got up, leaving the bushes and swiftly moving straight towards the group of the Republic soldiers. They did not need to die and killing them meant risking the success of the plan, therefore he simply walked past them, letting them think that whatever dropped from the ship must have gone away from them, prompting the small group to venture away from the artillery.

Finding the commander was not easy. The Mon Cal resorted to using his cybernetic eye to let the pictures he had taken earlier guide him towards the command outpost by comparing them what he saw with his real eye. Passing several cannons ready to fire again, he completely ignored all enemies manning the artillery, as soon they would unknowingly serve the Sith, therefore their lives would remain intact for now. His mastery over bending sounds helped him greatly while sneaking past the Alderaanian forces, silencing the cracking of branches under his feet. The Mon Calamari Sith moved swiftly and with clear purpose. The terrain eventually changed, the ground now beaten by dozens of boots and often levelled to serve the military purpose. Enemy patrols became more regular and he had to be careful not to bump into anyone.

The uniform clearly revealed the commander, as well as his moving mouth speaking into the comlink. Veles' target. The amphibian knelt among the trees near the target's position, hiding in the shadows and no longer bending sounds to conserve the energy better. Closing his large amber eyes, the Sith meditated, drawing the Dark Side into his body to replenish some of his lost energy, feasting on the growing desperation of the nearby Alderaanian forces. He remained like this for a minute of so before reaching out through the Force and carefully connecting with the commander's mind. Remembering Darth Zarrah's lesson very well, he knew he had to be slow and careful, inserting throughts into the commander's head to make him believe those were his own before giving him any commands. This power known as Force corrupt would turn the commander into a puppet.

"I should take a look at the situation near the palace," was the first thought inserted into theman's head. It seemed logical, so the man took a look through the binos, staring at the situation for a while before putting the binos down by himself.

"It does not look good. If not for the reinforcements, we would have most likely lost already."

"The wind is quite chilly here."

"The palace is full of Sith forces."

"Everything seems so peaceful from up here, away from the fighting."

"What to do now? The Sith can simply escape the palace before the Republic forces surround them."

"Losing is not an option. We cannot let the Sith hydras have our beautiful home."

"If the palace is destroyed, we will eliminate the majority of the Sith inside."

"We can make this much easier for the Republic by destroying the Sith in the palace with artillery."

"Razing the palace to the ground will make it easy for us to eliminate the remaining Sith."

"The palace has to be destroyed!"

With each thought sent to the man, Veles' influence wrapped around the man's mind, the tendrils of the Dark Side in his head corrupting him. It was clear, the palace has to be destroyed!

A brief glance at the holoprojector and the commander spoke into his comlink. "Fire on Mike Bravo, 7-Niner-6, 6-Alpha-6.

The artillery cannons moved to aim at the palace and the sound of their fire thundered across the mountain.

Captain Markus' blue eyes scanned the field, noting the tanks and armored transporters. More importantly, he spotted a massive body of a Hutt dressed in all too familiar armor. The experienced Imperial and Banshee's faithful soldier immediately recognized the chancellor of the Republic. Since [member="Darth Banshee"]'s ship was equipped with weaponry primarily meant to disable enemy craft, which would be very handy against all the machines, they might even find some use against the beskar clad Hutt and possibly stun him.

Stepping closer to the window, the human smirked. "Shields on. Once in range, all cannons open fire on the enemy." The Dragon's Breath continued its flight, its crew ready for battle. Ten ion cannons accompanied by two turbolasers soon started barking, releasing their might upon the Republic's forces.

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
Location: Alderaan
Allies: [member="Niamh Raste"] [member="Fadeyka"] [member="Asmundr Varobalder"] [member="Kian Karr"]
Enemies: One Sith
Objective: Help Stragglers

Saki didn't spare a moment smelling herself she knew it was bad... she knew she needed a lot of things to get the smell of well everything from her while she stopped holding the hammer and looking at the one Havoc member, the jedi warden, the echani and her bodyguard. It was a small ragtag group here away from the main forces. "I am not letting our people get captured, the university is lost, the medical center from the looks destroyed and some early reports had the sith killing off several noble houses who wouldn't fall in line. There is an army of sithspawn marching on the palace that may or may not have defenses built. I remember it being open so anyone can come and ask questions which tactically makes it vulnerable."

She moved around a little watching for any movement in the area and shaking her head to get more of the goop out of her hair. "As for the smell you don't want to know where I have been, some places only us pretend jedi can go." Her face showing nothing while the hammer went over her shoulder and she went over to Fadeyka with a nod. "Are you alright?" The hammer impacting to the ground and the jedi master moving more without it to grab what she could. "You two." Pointing to Niamh Raste and her bodyguard. "Whatever we can get off these people and put in the speeder see that we can. We're going into the middle of a fight so make sure we have weapons and ammo, any medical supplies you can find and store see that they are stocked."

Now this was what she knew, how to fight and prepare. Maybe not be the leader but she had been fighting since Jor'si sent her to Togoria to fight Val'ryss, since Metalorn and she knew how to fight. Turning to the large man covered in gold armor while she held the hammer and took it over to the speeder setting it inside with her weight and one of the belts from the soldiers. "Remember to only take what we are going to need, a bunch of ration cubes aren't going to help us while extra ammo will." Now she was searching through the belt and adding it to her own, the numerous compartments appearing so that it can hold more then one knew. She'd have to fiddle to really find every compartment a feat in its own right .

"And to answer your next question Asmundr, yeah I am serious. We are at war, we are in serious danger of losing this planet and yes we are going after that large creature in the distance that is towering over everything. Once that worms attentions are drawn to the palace it can clear that distance quickly, it will come from below and wipe out nearly everything there and we can't stop it. I fought Val'ryss in that beasts jaw and she still destroyed the area around the university with little resistance. We need to keep moving before it takes notice of us and push to get there first to help where we can." She kept searching through the gear and taking the ammo that could be found, the comlinks were destroyed so no one could call for back up and warn the sith they were coming.

Saki turned to look at Niamh and Fadeyka while she moved. "You two think you'll be able to keep moving, keep fighting?" She had more of the geltabs, they were starting to be a wonderful thing while moving about and taking the few medical packs they had for minor wounds. Stuffing them together in packs and closing them up. Collection water for them to use in case of anything while she took a drink with a look around. She was more curious about the warden who she had never really seen outside of the only training ships they had left, that he was here only meant they had another person to fight. She chalked him into the same grouping as others when it came to opinions as the time ticked away and she had moved through searching and adding more of it to the speeder.

"Alright lets get moving, I don't want you out here when that worm returns cause I assure you getting out of its gullet is not a fun experience."

Those ten ion cannons and two turbolasers ran right smack dab into something that hadn't been there a second ago: The military-grade shields of the Gypsymoth, a YV-929 armed freighter just coming out of cloak and a hard burn. At the controls, Jorus Quentin Merrill and a hard-edged grin. The grin was big enough it nearly required its own shock couch.

He returned fire with a truly disproportionate amount of hell for a ship this small. Four light turbolasers, two concussion missile launchers, one capital-ship-cracking assault concussion missile launcher. An instant later, the autofire tripleblasters joined in the storm, and then the manned dual ion cannon turret, with Beyyr or Miktik at the controls. The Gypsymoth's fuselage was dotted with killmarks, every kind of Sith, Confederate, and Fringe starfighter in silhouette, more than a few corvettes and frigates, even a Star Destroyer.

"Let's go with no."

Miktik adjusted his goggles as he sat in the turret well of the Gypsy Moth. "I'm with you Boss!" he said to @Jorus Merill. Miktik didn't normally come along on Jorus's more violent runs preferring to stay home and babysit for the man. This was different though. Miktik has shown his bravery on that ghost ship, and he intended to be a more vital part of Jorus's life from now on. Besides, he was on the ship when Jorus rerouted to Alderaan and didn't really have an opportunity to jump ship...

But bravery! Yes he was a brave bunny coming in with Jorus. He gripped the controls on the Ion Cannon and fired mercilessly at the ship. Withering fire. "Jorus," he said after looking down at the display, "Deploying the Connor Net!"

Miktik pressed a simple button and watched as the device was deployed. The net flew at the Dragons Breath deploying in air ready to wrap and disable the vessel, which honestly a 110 meter vessel in atmosphere didn't stand much chance of dodging.

It's a bird, it's a plane... no wait it really is a bird!

He was a Rishi, a peaceful people. He didn't care for wars or aggression but fate had thrust him into this conflict soaring above a battlefield yet again.

Quorl flew through the air of the battlefield on wings of... well feathers. He saw the Republic Artillery cannons moving, felt the malevolent power of the dark side and immediately suspected the cause. Sith did love their little abuses. As the canons readied themselves to fire he launched himself into a dive propelled by the force and approached them as he got within proper distance he set of a piecing screech and beat his wings furiously sending pulses of air and telekinetic energy at the guns pushing their barrels away from the palace as they boomed. The shots went wide...

"You poor people," Quorl said, "Be free of this abusive spell, be free," Quorl repeated waiving his wings around in the air and lifting the invasion from their minds. "Now quickly to the palace's aid we must!" he squawked and propelled himself back up into the air, prepared to fly back down and calm any minds touched again by the Sith. He let out a little sigh as he surveyed the scene below. He already missed Boolon, his friend of many years. And Jorus the man who nurtured his force talents. He looked back sparing a fleeting glance at the Gypsy Moth. It would be a long day.

Objective: Follow Darth Junra where she goes until told otherwise.
Location: Palace and then transport.
Allies: One Sith boarding the same vessel as Darth Junra and Arturious
Enemy: Jedi and Galactic Republic

Arturious started to follow [member="Darth Junra"] into the Palace as she instructed when the sudden shelling begin all around them. Instinctively Arturious tried to duck for cover but was not quick enough as a golf ball sized chuck of shrapnel hit him square in the chest lodging into the borrowed Chest piece he had barrowed from one of the troopers knocking him down.

Arturious cursed to himself as one of the Troopers helped him to his feet. Arturious motioned towards Darth Junra.

"Take your squad and follow us."

Arturious paused as one of the Jedi attempted to prevent them from entering the palace smiling as it failed. Leaning on the Trooper for support Arturious followed through out the Palace until they reached the transport. Arturious took a ast look around before stepping onto the transport a minute after Darth Junra collapsing on the deck just past the ramp reaching up with a grimace to pull the chunk of shrapnel from the armor grown as he felt the blood flow from a quarter sized whole on his left chest muscle.

Cursing once again Arturious tossed the shrapnel aside.

"Guess that one had my name on it."

Arturious pulled the chest plate off dropping it on the deck beside him looking at the wound touching it gingerly.

"Well that is going to leave a mark."

Sardun ran past a parked M47http://starwarsrp.net/topic/16034-m47-illria-class-dropship/ dropship in the last known direction the GM and Councilor had been located, he didn’t even consider it strange the thing was parked inside the Republic Army Zone, probably Kiskla again with her bad parking the girl really needed to take flying lessons. Not that his own skills with flying birds were anymore better, but still.

Eventually he reached Kiskla’s side, she didn’t seem to be doing much at the moment. Staring into the distance, watching for signs of attack or something? Didn’t really know, was too busy running to get here on time.

An aura of peace surrounded the Battlemaster slash Jedi Master slash Councilor sla-- well you get the point, it would alert Kiskla to his presence without him having to say anything. Which wasn’t the same as him not saying anything.

She could here people evacuating the throne room, she sighed in relief. Then pounding happened, the palace was under direct attack. She realized come what may, if she still wanted to draw breath tomorrow. She would have to run for it. So she climbed out from under her bed, and ran into the throne room. She could see no one as she glanced around, so she looked for nearest exit and head for it. Then started to make it outside, of throne room. Then she said heard some one say, she not one of us, then another noise that she not heard before, then she felt dizzy and hit the ground. She just been shot in the back by sith trooper, fortunately he had set it to stun. That way they could capture any nobles, and use them later as a puppet government. She then was dragged on to some sort of transport. Then not for the first time, she been bond to a chair. Though she was not conscious to realize it yet.

Its Visage was Terrifying to look at, Many people ran from him as he ignited his Blue Lightsaber by his side. Nulgath chuckled in his Armor as he was slaughtering innocents nearby, their screams echoed through the area. I bet Kezeroth is having fun about now too he thought. Nulgath made some finishing touches to the large group of Civilians making their screams goto a dead silence. He was slightly higher up and could see a group of people moving looked like Jedi but he wasnt sure, Taking a Leap down he landed on a knee with his saber extended with his arm. The Landing caused some debris to fly around and make it hard to see. Only one visible notion was there. Two Red Eyes.

It just so happened on her way out, she encountered [member="Jorus Merrill"].

It just so happened that her ship and his ship docked. It just so happened, she got some sense knocked into her and was back in the game.

It just so happened that Jorus would drop her off prior to engaging the Dragon's Breath.

She intercepted the odd communications from the Commander of the Artillery brigade and directed them to the Executive Officer. She broke through the line of communications before the artillery could begin truly firing, as a brigade size element of over seventy-guns and four-thousand personnel would be alot to manipulate and even orders would take time to disseminate down in such a manner. "Colonel, I believe the CO has become incapacitated. Belay your orders and hold fire. The Supreme Chancellor has not given orders to fire upon the Palace. Relieve your Commander and assume duties as CO of the Brigade." On the other end would come an acknowledgement as she continued to hook herself up on the Gypsy Moth. She approached the secondary hatch and prepared the shield disruptor, adjusting the parameters to ensure that she would have a hole big enough for her and her alone to pass through. She adjusted the timer so she would be able to pass through and have a minute of delayed descent before the disruptor shut off and killed her cable line.

It would have to be enough.

She slammed her hand against the hatch and activated the shield disruptor, no doubt causing a small blip on [member="Jorus Merrill"]'s console and with that she lept. At this elevation and the gravity caused her to decend at a relatively quick pace. Her hands manipulated the cord attached to the interior of the ship, slowing her down as she approached fifty A.G.L and then the alarm rang in her googles and the disruptor shut off at thirty A.G.L. The cord snapped and she free-fell about three stories, but panic she did not.

The Force was there.

She manipulated it as best she could and sent a concussive wave downwards to slow her decent as best as she could, enough to allow her to hit the ground with a thud, tuck and roll up in a combat stance, M.A.W.S in hands aimed at the tree-lines within the Mountain. About fourty meters ahead was the command center for the Artillery Brigade, it was time to provide some protection for the men doing an outstanding job up here providing cover for those who were fighting the good fight down below. She reached behind her and dropped the remains of the dead cable line and then reached up to press the side of her goggle set, activating the secure communications line between the Gypsy Moth and the Republic Command.

With a flash of static lightning and a small airburst, she disappeared into thin-air, her presence within the Force concealed as she rushed towards the Command center.

As they took the steps and the tanks fired here and there in support to wipe out knots of Sith resistance outside the palace, Popo picked up a sitrep from the artillery commander in the rear echelons. It read:

"Sith have the palace. Firing on their positions to support the Republic assault."

Popo immediately commed the Artillery frequency, happy for once of the redundancy in the military, though livid at this level of foulup.

"The HELL you will! Republic forces are entering the palace! The Sith are in retreat! This is Supreme Chancellor Popo of the Galactic Republic! Authorization code Hotel-Omega-Lima-Yankee-Zero-Zero-Foxtrot-Uniform-Kilo-Niner! Cease fire immediately or I will personally come up there and rip you a new one!"

With that, Popo spun and jabbed with his electrostaff, killing a Sith warrior, before heading further up the steps.

A blast of energy slammed into Ryan and lifted him off the floor, sending him careening sideways. He grit his teeth, trying to slow his fall when a second shockwave hurled into his body, cast from the Traitor. Korr was flung from the Palace gates and he tumbled wildly through the air. Suddenly, all turned white and a terrible roar blasted in his ears, tearing sound from him as easily as one would snap a flower from its stem.

Blind and deaf, he fell without knowledge of up or down until the hard-edged Palace steps greeted him with a resounding smack for his temporary defiance of gravity. Korr gasped, wind expelling from his lungs in a rush. He tried to choke air back in, but only succeeded in sucking up dust. Hacking terribly, he groaned and tried to rise.

Hearing came back slowly along with his sight until at last he saw the vision of before him. The Palace still stood, but only barely. This looked like more like some desolate structure on Ziost than the Royal Palace of Alderaan. Ryan got to his feet and swayed, exhausted. Every inch of his body was covered in the dull-grey soot of pulverized rubble. Trickles of angry red ran from cuts on a face so thickly covered in dust that few would recognize him save for the traces of red hair which showed even through grey soot and the determined set to his jaw.

A voice sounded in his head, a familiar, dark presence. He turned to see a Nautolan Sith warrior charging straight for him. Ryan's blade came up, as clear a blue as though someone had reached up and captured a piece of the sky.

"Ket."

In a smooth motion, as though unfatigued by the day's events, Ryan delved into the reinvigorating flow of the Force and moved to attack. He stretched out a hand and a blinding flash of pure radiance erupted from his palm to blind the Nautolan, while with his right hand he hurled his lightsaber toward Odium's legs. He kept tight control of the blade, utilizing telekinesis to control its rapid spin and to ensure that Odium didn't just reach out and knock it away.

Myr looked onto the not so destroyed palace with a face of disappointment and slight annoyance. It seemed that for some strange reason the explosives did not have the intended effect. His lips turned down in a scowl.

Fine, he would simply have to put more of an effort into this endeavor.

The Sith Apprentice looked to his fellow within the transport, his sight within the force allowed him to gaze into the very heart of them. He smiled, perhaps they were worthy of sacrifice, perhaps they were worthy of his life. They were fighting to restore Order after all. Fighting to become the rulers of the galaxy and restore peace. Yes. He could do this.

Myr pulled out his comm-link, keying in a frequency and typing in a short message that would be sent on a military band before slowly turning on the shuttles ramp, and simply jumping out.

The Sith Apprentice landed on one of Alderaan's massive palaces. He hit the roof hard with a slam, rolling in a crouch and coming to a stand with a few cuts and scrapes, though the force thankfully saved him from any major damage. The scowl he wore on his face spoke of pain however, and quickly he reached the edge of the building where he found a ladder. Sliding down it, Myr began to make his way into the city, away from the palace and towards something more useful.
