Test successful. Well, the creature was apparently still alive. Ah, well. Now she had to deal with an angry Jedi girl. Kaida had long concluded that most Jedi were whimps. Oh, wait, wasn't this latest waif and stray Kerrigan had decided to adopt? Kaida could only conclude that the girl was either still very much in the dark about what sort of person her mother was, or the Butcher of Roche was good at hiding it. The latter she dismissed.

"Yes. I was testing a weapon. Best done on a living target, and I'm obviously not going to test it on a person," Kaida said bluntly, indifferently. The absurdly brutal shatterboltgun had recharged. Terribly low firing rate. That was an annoying drawback. If the gentle reader was getting the impression that Kaida was a bit of a queen, then they'd be absolutely correct.

A low scoff was given. The woman, the shooter... her presence seemed off. Not light, but not quite the same dark as the Sith he'd encountered in the past. Regardless, he had two Knights requesting he return to aid the giant spider. One of the greatest giftings in the Force he had, was the arts of Healing as trained by his Master. Stern, and strict, as she was, her lessons were not lost on her padawan.

Seeming to vanish into the canopy, his movements masked by both his natural grace and agility, and the branches and foliage, it seems almost as if he were never there to begin with. Moment later, he would descend from the tree-tops, near the writhing arachnid. He'd reach out, feeling with the Force, giving calming sensations towards the spider. He made sure to close himself off, allowing the transfer to be only one way, preventing the creatures fear and pain from being projected into his own mind. After getting the beast to no longer recoil from his approach, Ryn'Dhal cautiously maneuver to where he could place his hands against the creature, near the impact-site.

He knew nothing of arachnid anatomy, so he began reaching through the Force, sensing the various organs that were still in-tact, and mentally mapping the creature. He then exerted his will even harder, reaching further out, seeking any other arachnid life-forms, so as to examine a 'whole' specimen. The Force was on his side this day, as a significantly smaller variant lurked in it's webbing in a tree far over-head, presently enjoying a juicy flying insect as a meal. A quick scan helped Ryn to be able to try to fill the blanks in the giant spider.

It wasn't a perfect knowledge, but it was enough to bring it close enough to complete, to where the Force could then take it and push it the rest of the way to completion. The hard part was done, now came the tenacious part. Thankfully for the giant spider, there were few that would ever be able to match the sheer stubborn will and endurance of Ryn'Dhal. Then again, there were few that have endured the years of torturous abuse and unceasing labor-camps that the felinoid endured in his time as a slave.

The Force welled up within him, and broke forth from his being, like a dam being burst, the Lightside flowing freely into the massive arachnid. Miracles did happen, when a practitioner of the Healing Arts was able to weave the Force uninhibited, as a conduit, especially on a Lightside world such as this one. Tissue began stitching together, arteries and veins, and other such squishy bits. The carapace began to seal, growing back into place. Over the source of many, many, minutes the wound would be well on the way to healing. The great arachnid was stabilized, and no longer in danger of death. In fact it was ready to get up and move. The Force would continue it's work for a while, even after the furry-padawan broke physical contact, to finish the healing.

Rather than wait to see if the spider would attempt to discern whether or not it's savior was tasty, Ryn'Dhal would dart away, seeking refuge in the heights of the tree, his natural agility providing swift escape from potential harm. From his perch, invisible to all those below, and with his Force Presence restricted to the best of his meager ability, he'd likely be hard to spot at the moment by the uninitiated. From there, he'd watch, observing the spider. Perhaps this trip was going to be worthwhile after all.....

Mission 1: Eocho Mountains

Valae was still quite shaken as she moved through the next tunnel, the hand that held her flashlight was shaking. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her frayed nerves. The sound of her beating heart was ringing relentlessly in her head, and she couldn’t help but feel a bit anxious. A sound in the darkness made her jump, but she blew out a sigh of relief when she realized that she had just kicked a stone… nothing more. The image of her father kept flashing before her, and each time she attempted to shake the thought away. The tears were still there, but the flow had finally begun to ebb.

She felt as though there were an invisible string tied around her wrist, and something in the distance was slowly pulling her along. Valae felt a chill run down her spine, and she looked around to see a fog rolling into the tunnel. It was thick and eerie as it rolled past her, obscuring her way ahead. She felt the air catch in her throat as a large shadow appeared in the fog behind her. It was soon followed by more; their numbers grew with each second that passed. In an instant the army of shadows began to advance on her, and Valae had no choice but to run. She held her arms out in front of her, and struggled on, moving as fast as she could.

Valae soon burst out of the fog and into a small cavern. The shadows were still in pursuit and soon began to fill the chamber, closing in on Valae from all sides. She let the light of her flashlight shine on the dark figures, but these ones did not vanish beneath its light. White warmth began to fill the area, and it created a dome of protection from the darkness. Her eyes turned towards the ground, and she saw a crystal glowing at her feet. Valae reached down and picked up the crystal, and instantly felt the force surge forth. Suddenly the crystal began to hum with energy, and its illumination filled the cave, causing each shadow to disintegrate into nothing.

She looked down at the palm of her hand in wonder; the crystal was still vibrating slightly. Valae closed her eyes and deepened her connection with the crystal; it was the most amazing feeling. A smile broke into her face, now she only needed to navigate her way out… but she had a feeling it would be much easier now.

Mullarus slammed his palms into the earth beneath him in frustration, cursing out loud. "Get out of my fething HEAD!" He spent a few minutes in silence, controlling his breathing and pushing out his anger. The cave is a test, Mullarus. It knows about Setzi. Don't give in to your anger. Just look for that crystal. You can feel it, can't you?

Indeed, when Krux stood back up and looked outward with the Force, he felt something. Faint, but it was there. He glanced back at the ground where the illusion of Darth Azures just was. Her face, devoid of corruption as she stared back into his eyes, would be burned into his mind forever, possibly. Her eyes looked so...beautiful green. Another image to haunt his dreams.

He followed the trail that seemed to be left by the Crystal that called faintly to him. It was like a hutt following a trail of candy. He hooked his lightsaber back onto his belt, taking a deep breath.

No...NO he thought as he turned the corner.

Where the Crystal was supposed to be, be saw two figures now. One was an elderly man with a bushy white beard, staring with dissapointment at Krux with dark, indigo eyes. The second was a togruta dressed in black robes, similar to Darth Azurea's he saw moments ago. His arms were crossed over his chest, glaring at Mullarus with cold hatred.

Krux stood there in horror. Of course they were illusions, but they looked so real...what is this cave? How does it seem to know everything about him?!

"There he is...the fallen angel." said Lord Jekyll, Krux Mullarus' grandfather. Now that he got a better look, with the room faintly lit by the bright white crystal behind the two illusions, he could see Jekyll's robes were torn through the middle, where below was a mangled, torn torso where Krux had literally torn the old man in half with the Force when he slew him.

"Angel? Hmph." scoffed the illusion of Pyrrhus.

"That is my grandson, Dark Lord. I know him. He was always soft. I didn't think he'd fall so easily...It was all for that woman, wasn't it, boy?"

"MY woman..."

Krux stood in silence, starting to walk toward them.

"Don't try to act stubborn. I won't let you live down this deception. Deception...yes, that word you hate. I decieved you, boy. If not for me, your best accomplishment in life would've been learning to use a hydrospanner to clean starships. I opened the door for you to become Sith...now, after how much you cried about how I decieved you, you go and decieve us..."

"Deception is the Dark Side. You aren't completely turned. You just want Setzi." the illusion of Pyrrhus growled, standing between Krux and the crystal behind him.

"You want her? Come get her. You have to get through me, first." he snarled, igniting his lightsaber, filling the room with a shining crimson.

Krux shook his head, knowing he spoke to an illusion now, but speaking nonetheless. "No, I don't." he said, extending a hand. The white crystal behind Pyrrhus then flew into his hand, straight through the illusion's chest.

"I only have to make her come to me willingly, and she can. I know it." Krux answered as the illusion of Pyrrhus faded.

The final illusion shook his head before Krux turned his eyes to him, "Grandpa...rest. You spent your entire life in agony and regret. Let your heart rest."

"I wanted so much from you...and...you know what, boy? You...proved yourself to me on Rakata Prime. You're a veteran warrior of the Force. That's all I care about...

"I won't forget your defection, but...for what it's worth...i'm proud of you."
was all the illusion said before it, too, faded.

Krux looked at the crystal in his hand, which felt so powerful and so alive in his hand. "...You better have been worth it" he whispered, a tear rolling down his cheek as he started making his way back to the entrance.

As he walked, the illusions of Ferren Jekyll, Darth Pyrrhus, and Setzi Lunelle watched. Every step. Every tear.

When it raines... it pours.

Mission 2: Ossus Jungle

Judah was slightly surprised to have the daughter of the Silver Jedi founder speak up to affirm his caution. He was not used to having his position affirmed as the Jedi had been more a wanderer as of late. The Jedi had seen many changes since he'd been a padawan, and he could not say it had been for the better. There were so many different versions of the Jedi now, and Judah did not know which was right anymore. The Silver Sanctum seemed to do the most good, so Judah had aligned with them. They'd always welcomed him.

"Seeing them change can be interesting. However, it is pretty astral," Judah said trying to use the lingo he'd heard the kids using. Maybe he should leave it to the younger.

The pair was approached by [member="Abaigeal E'ron"], and Judah returned the bow, hopefully Samara knew to do the same. While Judah was not a formal Jedi, he was also considerate of the others traditions. Samara would learn from Judah to be a social chameleon of sorts. His role as a shadow made him one who liked to blend in.

"You would not remember meeting me. I knew your mother a long time ago. I've been absent from the Silver Jedi for a while. It is good to meet you again. This is my Padawan Samara Raine. We've recently begun working together, and are hoping for good teaching moments. If we break off from the group, it is because an opportunity presented itself."

At least they would not have to worry. Judah felt as though it was fair to let her know they may not remain with group. As they approached the ruins Judah pondered the site. It was curious, though here was a sense of caution as well. A hand motioned to the ruins. They were covered in moss and ivy, but the presence of the force could still be felt.

"I wonder what could be found in there, Samara. What interests you more, the ruins or the Neti?"

Samara's late master had taught her proper etiquette so when [member="Abaigeal E'ron"] approach them, she was quick to bow respectfully to the leader of the jungle mission as [member="Judah Lesan"] introduced his new padawan learner. "It is nice to meet you, Knight E'ron. I look forward to learning much on this mission," the young blonde nodded with a friendly smile.

The young padawn watched from afar as some of the other Jedi tried help the wounded arachnid. The distraction kept her from deciding what interested her more to learn about today, but soon enough Samara's mind was made up for her. The sticky frogs began to rain down from the tree canopy above.

"I vote for the ruins!" Sam shouted to her master after seeing one land on top of Abaigeal's head, then she ran towards the mossy stone entrance that wasn't too far away.

Judah sighed at the apparent disagreement over what to do with the spider. He had no opinion either way. Giant arachnids always caused problems in the stories, and usually in life too. Judah would not have hesitated to kill the beast if he had to, and now that was not an issue. The biggest issue was Samara running into the ruins as the frogs started falling from the treetops. He followed after her and when they reached the inside of the ruins, Judah waited for his eyes to adjust.

"Hold up Samara. Reach out with the force and feel your environment. What can you sense? Is it safe to proceed? Answer the questions as you move forward with caution."

The corridor had moss on the wallis as well. A dank smell hit Nudahs nose as the moisture which were in walls seeped through. The mildew was strong but he would adjust. There didn't seem to be a way to light the hall, so once again Judah pushed his aura outward and lit the path ahead of them. The construction was ancient, different. Walls were marked with the ware of time and age. Each stone was a piece of history, marked with a unique story which was hidden somewhere in the ruins they were in.

"I wonder what we will find," Judah asked moving further in. "Always an adventure!"

Taking the corridor which led off to the left, Judah started looking for a room which might contain some old artifacts, something for Samara to retrieve as a token of her trip. Judah liked taking little things to remind him of the places he set foot on. His collection was interesting, but not extensive. It was then Judah heard scratching on the walls. His attention perked up, and increased the light.

"We are not alone in here."

Judah hoped it was not another spider.

The Coci appeared to be conducting a physical interchange with one of the other stalk-walkers.

The other giants had ventured inside of the cave. An interesting structure, with any number of shapes which the polydroxol would have been curious about replicating. However, the ripples across the anterior of the silvery form betrayed a kind of 'yawn.' It had already expended a significant amount of energy in order to shapeshift. Particularly in the ascent up the cliff.

It was a young polydroxol, and those electrogoblins were going to have to be regenerated.

In order words, it was denantium nap time. Circling on the ground three times, the rodent-like metal object seemed prepared to lie down when instead it just let go of its form, like a water balloon that had popped. Settling on the ground as a puddle of molten lead, the polydroxol shifted a few times as it drifted off to sleep.

Matsu continued to breathed in and out while she was focusing the force energies into the glove to keep it going and thought about the wellspring she had visited with Rianna and its force sensitive waters that were infused. All that energy and power as she closed her eyes and continued to focus her portions of energy deeper and deeper into it. Coming away while she moved and touched for a moment with a small cup gathering it up as she felt a pop in the force and continued to work on the glove as other things were happenign on the work and the jedi master felt something pouring the water on it as she was slowly pushing the force energy into the bands of metal.

As George sat up and began meditating he could hear a voice. It was Anna, Padawan Song. George opened his eyes looking for the source, after not seeing her at all she spoke again, it was more apparent this time that it was through the force. "Yes Padawan Song, I can hear you. What is it you've found?" He asked curiously, as this sort of message was different to the force messages he had given and received in the past.

"Also where exactly are you? I didn't see you reach the top of the cliff? Are you alright?" The Jedi Knights voice turned to panic as he had her stim pack. "Do you need me to come get you?" The panic in his voice was clear now as he felt terrible for abandoning the Padawan. Although in his mind at first thought it would be a small detour, like walking around to get to a ramp. But this seemed different. George waited for a response, but no matter how fast she was, it was too long in George's eyes. He was ready to head back down and get her. But he needed to wait to hear from Padawan Song, for all he knew she could be somewhere completely else.

Thurion took a moment to lose himself in Coci; the way she spoke and the way she moved, how she looked upon him with those dark eyes of hers. When she finished he said nothing further on the subject, instead he pulled her close for an embrace. "You are so beautiful," was all he could say just before his lips found hers. Holding her close, Thurion then leaned back until he lay upon the rock, she on top of him. Uncomfortable though it was, he didn't care in the slightest and simply remained there, a bright smile upon his lips as he closed eyes while basking in the warming sun.

The moment wasn't to last, however, as he could sense the emotional hardships his padawan was going through inside the cave. His smile started to fade as his head turned towards the entrance, as if looking for her with worrisome gaze. He soon realised Valae had yet to return, and resumed the loving moment between husband and wife, kissing her forehead. "She's strong in the Force, Coci. There are many sorrows in her past, but there is also an innocent curiosity despite all she's been through." Looking up into the blue sky, he again beamed a smile with eyes closed. "I love you," he whispered, tightening his hold of her.

Mission 1: Eocho Mountains

Valae clutched the crystal close to her, determined not to drop it or lose it on her return trek. She moved to walk back out the tunnel, but now saw that there were four tunnels that ran into the chamber. Which one had she originally come through? The misty fog was still wafting about the area, and it was making the choice all the more difficult. She drew in a breath and attempted to let her mind go silent. Valae reached out with the force, using the strength of the crystal to aid her efforts. She felt a sudden pull towards the right, and she walked through the nearest tunnel in that direction.

The padawan’s steps were sure and her strides were filled with a new confidence. The darkness of the tunnels was no longer frightening, and she made her way with a fair amount of ease. She realized that this was not the way she had come in, but she had the feeling that it would still lead her back towards the mouth of the cave. Movement to her side made her pause, and she stood still once more to face whatever waited for her. A figure was coming towards her in the mist, at first it was but a shadow, and then it was revealed to be her father. This time he did not appear as a walking corpse, but standing tall and looking well.

In all her life, she had never known her father to look so healthy. Even in his best times, there had always been a fair amount of grit in his appearance. Just then, a second figure moved swiftly forward and came to stand next to Atticus. It was Valae’s mother. Instantly she burst into tears, but this time was different, she was happy. The last time she had seen her mother was almost 14 years ago now, and the sight of her standing there made the young woman crumble. She felt as though she was a small child again, there was no better thing in the world than a mother’s smile.

“We are proud of you.” Came their voices in unison, and then they were gone.

A simple message, one that Valae would carry with her through all the rest of her days. Even if it had just been an illusion, a trick of her mind, it served its purposed well. She followed the tunnel until she could see a pinpoint of light up ahead. Valae finally emerged from the cave, her cheeks were still quite tear stained, but there was a smile on her face.

Anna could hear the feelings through his voice and through their connection. So rather than reply, she simply did what her mother used to do. Send waves of comfort through the Force. Not words of reassurance. But the faith and understanding itself. George would know that Anna was alright. As if could see her and feel her breathing himself. It wasn't just her way of saying "I'm okay." It was Anna's way of sharing of herself.

Then, when the moment had past. She opened her eyes and focused again.

~ "It's fine. I'll see you soon." ~

She broke the connection and smiled. The blue crystal reflection in front of her smiled too.

"I think I found my Pontite crystal, after all."

...

Mountain Top

Ten minutes later, Anna arrived at the summit with the others. Her backpack full of assorted new items and trinkets. This was her first mission away from her Master and she was happy to make the most of it.

"Hey there?" She walked up to George with a wave, "Sorry about the wait. I tried not to rush myself. The air, ya know."

She smiled and sat down next to him.

"So? What did I miss?"

The warm touch of his lips to hers, never fails to make her forget everything in the world. Coci simply allowed him to take her away in his arms to a place where only the two of them live, in love. As he pulled her down to the rock, she smiled loving one of the most endearing things about Thurion .. his ability to show the galaxy his love for her where others would shy away from such displays of affection and love. And those big bright blue eyes... pools of life she will always dive into.

"I sense it too!", she suddenly said head snapping toward the cave entrance. "They are all fighting a past, we all do and always will". Yet all in the cave are in no physical danger, what they pass through the test will be their's and their's alone. Coci and Thurion will always remain ready to offer guidance when they ask for it.

"I love you too, so very much", she whispered back. The moment ended all to soon, as the Jedi began to make their way from the cave. Now was the time, to be there and see what they had achieved. As Valae emerged from the cave, beaming .. Coci returned the smile and sat up to allow her master to be with her in this moment of joy.

The force energies continued to pour out of Matsu while she was looking over some of the things there. She let the force hum down her arm into her hands and slowly work more and more on it touching the tips and bands of the glove to augment them. The tips of the finger pieces each slowly glowing with the force and then to the small bands and flexible rods connecting them to the crystal in the palm. She could switch those out with different crystals as needed but the purposes mostly remained the same. Redirecting them with the force energies until her attention went to the section holding the crystal in the center of the palm.

Mission: Ossus Jungle

"Naturally you would not test it on a person, however I doubt the spider would agree with you. It has no say in the matter according to your theory, which makes your action even more thoughtless". Abaigeal turned to walk to speak to Ryn. "Will it be alright Ryn?'. With one Force persuasion the spider might consider not killing them now and go to it's lair. She turned to give Kaida one last angry glare with her eyes.

Walking back to the main clearing, Abaigeal noticed that Master Lesan and his Padawan had decided to move off and explore the ruins, her father seemed to be in conversation with a young man and so she decided it was time to get on with her mission. The estimated location of the tree is not far off from this point, and it was time to get moving once more. She had totally forgot about the 'hitchhiker' as the frog seemed to have settled in on her head very comfortably. It was not until she reached down to pick up her bag once more she noticed the sticky ooze sliding down her cheek.

"Father would you mind helping me with this frog?", she knew that if she tried to remove it by hand that would only make the situation far worse.

Kaida looked impassive. It seemed like there was a big clash of worldviews, so she plain and simply did not understand Aba's point. Well, to her it seemed like Jedi squeamishness. "You're such a bleeding heart. I wonder how you can be the Butcher of Roche's kid," she spoke frostily, though again indifferently.

Was Kaida ever nice to someone? Well, she was very sweet [member="Coryth Elaris"]. Sometimes @Tempest. That was it. Anyhow, the other Jedi was seeing to the spider, which soon arose once more after almost getting its skull blown off. Kaida secured the shalterbolter over her shoulder and calmly walked away.

As people started reappearing out of the very same entrance they'd all ventured into earlier, Thurion rose from the rock he and Coci lay on to greet each one as they emerged. When finally Valae showed up, her eyes a bit more swollen than before with traces of tears clearly visible and her spirit noticably healed, a very proud Thurion offered her a wide smile and a respectful bow from one Jedi to another, only to seconds later pull the girl into a firm embrace. "As am I," he told her. "Whatever happened in there, I know it couldn't have been easy. It never is." The embrace ended, yet his hands remained upon her shoulders. "But you faced your fears and emerged a true Jedi. I am honoured to be your teacher, Valae."

As George waited for a response he suddenly had a flow of the force run through him, not of his own, but of someone else. It was Padawan Song. She had let her self flow through the crystal, letting her energy flow into George, allowing him to feel as she is feeling. This calmed the Jedi Knight down considerably. His angst and worry disappeared with the thought of the Padawan being fine.

With a quick message saying that she was on her way back George breathed easy once more.

In a mere 10 minutes she had made it to the summit. "Hello again Padawan Song, glad you made it up here. I though you were rather quick to be honest." The Jedi Knight smiled as she walked over. He looked over at the cave entrance as he could hear footsteps leaving the cave. The first of the Padawans returned, it was Padawan Kitra, esteemed Padawan of the Grandmaster, a special one for sure. "You haven't missed much, the other Padawans are just returning from the cave. Grandmaster Thurion, Master Coci and myself have just been waiting out here for them to return." George said watching as Thurion and Kitra reunited after the cave. The relationship between them was a shining example of Padawan and Master, the respect and excitement they had for each achieving created a warm place in George's heart.

Mission 2: Jungle

"Hey at less you didn't end up in the water this time."

It was then seem before he noted her answer that Ronin couldn't help notice a bit of laughter come from her. Which compared to the fall seem hurt more as it struck somewhat close to his pride that got bruised. At any rate ones he'd straiten himself that with hand behind his neck Ronin replied.

"Yeah i know.....then i probably wouldn't hear the end of it from you ..or your little pup."

It was then as he notion up towards the canopy and spoke seem hope to deviate the topic away from his. Somewhat precarious fall from the tree line all because he got bit distracted and unfocused. As she then in turn seem with a smile replied back to him.

"To bad I didn't bring Fido with me that been real fun."

At which time seem reminded of his first meet with the seem rambunctious pup back in the temple. All but made Ronin smile as well and slightly scoff . As he turn gaze back her briefly and in light hearted tone replied.

"Oh yeah Fido....too bad indeed who'd forget Fido... but anyway shall we then?

In which time no sooner had he tried shift the topic back to the situation at hand. Hope if anything that their absence had not been noted yet and for once they not have a repeat of the last time. But then seem on cue as his mind seem been distracted for moment she spoke.

"So you want to climb, careful you might just regret this. "

And he in turn shake his head slightly take her words as sort challenge Ronin then replied.

" Oh really now well...if i were a betting man i would...."

He then cut his words short as if anything else the thought that play in his mind was well. At any rate his words was soon challenged by her no less as she boldly replied back.

"So what I get out of it if I win, if you win."

And he in turn seem embolden by her challenge cross his arms before him in show of bravado. Raise then left hand to his chin stroke it as he spoke.

"Well if your up for it then....i wager if i win ....want maybe a favor.....from you....one that you can't say no to....when i do come cash it it and well if you win then....if you win you get same thing from me....a favor i can't refuse that you can cash in later when you want it...but it gonna be one time deal...no ifs or buts deal?"

He then eye her with silent gaze, size her up in jest to see if she was will commit to his little plan. Which he seem didn't need long wait as she in turn came reply back.

"Well, what you waiting for count us down "

And he with sly coy smirk turn her and took his position by one side of the tree. Prepare to leap and make his attempt to climb.

"Well alright guess deal been struck and seem no back out now so....in one.....two.....three..."

By then before he barely got three out Ronin had made his move to climb to nearby branch and made sure to avoid. The one he was in earlier as he didn't want repeat of earlier fall....not with her hear and know what was at stake....at any rate soon enough the climb began and once on the treetops. The two could make better sense of where they were along with where the other were heading.
Finding herself enjoy this little race between the two of them. What would the others say about this? As fast as this thought came into her mind it went out. Even so it seem that reaching for the next branch was all that was on her mind. Even so her slender fingers going around each grip as if she knew before she even reach for the next one. Even now she felt the breeze in her hair as she rushed the force with in her. "Hows it going over there."

As she quickly made for the next branch, as if she was more then just young jedi she was part of the tree. As her own self not watch below. "Its lovely up here." as she got lost more and more not hearing that he had called out.

It was the shrieking call of something deep with in the tree. Looking over now as she got to the top, looking over at [member="Ronin Wendigo"] with a grin from ear to ear.

At that time no sooner had he'd made the first hand hold onto the tree just above his head. That by some unknown reason other than perhaps a boost thru the force that he recon. That he had taken note see her form pass him by in what seem been leaps and bounds. Such that for whatever reason seeing her appear be free floating in mid air in between hand holds as she move between branches. All but made him slightly smirk and almost cost him a hand hold onto the next branch. As up ahead he hear her voice call back towards him.

"Hows it going over there."

And he in turn with sly smirk on his face came reply.

"Pretty good.....thought pretty slick move there and yeah .....race ain't over so..."

He then with bit more bravado in him began to amp the game by try harder to concentrate. Make each move or swing count as best he could. Thought it seem bit hard at time knowing who he was race against. As part him just wanted let her win if only out curiosity what if any she'd use her favor for. Which at any rate could be anything and he figured he'd owed her one anyway?

But then there was part him that could take loosing ..... part him that well felt all the bravado to just win. In which time with the conflict brewing his pace became a bit more unsteady that he'd missed one or few hand holds. Cause him to almost drop down yet again but with few quick thinking he was able pull it off. Somehow....somewhere....when for some reason he sort lost sight of her.

"Its lovely up here."

At which time he was about reply with some coy remark as he could see the ruin just up ahead. And thru his somewhat fair grasp of the force sense the other ahead in a way. But then with his next hand hold something big drop out to pass by him Yet before he knew it or was able call out. A creature ....some sort of giant bug....spider was head right for him. At which time the creature gave a frightful shrill ...a seem shreaking call. To which made him loose his hand hold and would have drop for a second time. Much to seem her delight as she just happen turn gaze at him as he fell. But due his quick thinking as thought cross his mind '.not again.' That his eye spots a nearby loose vine which with the force he tried unknowingly reach out to. And in no time come grip between his hands pushing ahead he is able swing just barely close enough for him catch close to her. Make it a seem even race as the temple they were need be in in order catch up with the other in their group.
