Divided We Fall [Open to all but One Sith and their Allies]

Olivia paused mid-sip of her tea as she thought about [member="Olidiv Kenu"]'s words. "Not always." She said at last, still looking forward. "Everyone here comes from a different planet, and most are from entirely different sectors of the galaxy. Not only do we each have different concerns for the people we are sworn to protect, but each of us comes from a widely different culture." She said as she returned her cup to its matching saucer. she turned and looked the man in the eyes before continuing. "Conflict is to be expected. All any of us can do is exercise tolerance and remember that when all is said and done, each of us will do what we think is best to protect the people and culture we cherish. All you and I can do is make sure that as many people as possible leave this room thinking that we are their best bet at achieving that goal."

More talking, he thought to himself, his ear bud playing audio from the proceedings. Sounded more like a heated circle jerk than anything else. Heated discussion, raised voices, some light name calling... and at the end of it, nothing would materialize, and they would all go home feeling neglected and unappreciated.

He shook his head and let out a sigh... politicians... the less they meet, the better for everyone else, he mused to himself, as he pulled out his datapad, trying to track the signal. Sithspit, he cursed to himself, as he had several blips on his radar. They covered their tracks well. The signal was re-routed through several servers, a dozen or so buildings, three satellites and sith knows what else.

As much as it was a lovely evening for a stroll, Patches didn't feel like walking to all those locations. So, if you can't track the signal... have the signal come to you, he mused to himself, a sinister grin forming on his lips.

Flicking a few screens on his datapad, another holovideo was embedded into the code - this one of a Gammorrean's failed attempt to try and say the words "I wov you" - in an attempt to create a "hot spot" and narrow his search window down. He placed the datapad in his pocket, and waited for it's chime. He had no doubt this code would be discovered quicker than the other one.

The Republic Star Destroyer, after powering up its systems and bringing the ship to a more active level would detect multiple non-combat systems on a Keldabe-class Battleship power up as well. The shields and weapon systems would remain fully disabled, however. After a few moments, an encrypted Hyperspace transmission would be detected from the ship, directed at Adumar.

Siobhan chuckled slightly. Tegaea tended to make the decisions for interior decoration at their home, but then she was a redhead so it was no surprise she wore the pants in their relationship! "Thanks. Getting spaced was...unpleasant. Not something I'm eager to repeat." she said with considerable understatement.

She leaned strongly on her cane, as much as she was trying to stand tall and straight. Maybe she should use the damn thing to cane Sithies at some point. Force Weaponise the cane. From what she had heard [member="Ashin Varanin"] had been big on that pre-Severing. Maybe she should ask her for pointers! "Well, I was planning on retiring but...history repeats itself. But it's good to see you back in command for this war, Admiral. You did good work at Roche and Gehenna." That was said with genuine respect.

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]
“Indeed, it is always the plan to stay inside one’s ship rather than outside. If you are outside your ship, I’ve found, something rather bad has happened!”

The old Admiral chuckled. “Oh indeed. I had thought after the Sith Empire collapsed that my job was done and I could retire. Sadly there’s a new and more vigorous one taking their place. I suppose we’ll have to defeat them too before we can rest in peace.”

[member="Friedrich Stahlmann"]

"Well, now we know why I suck at fleeting!" Siobhan chuckled. Well, that and her writer is not good at it and might succumb to the tempation of using a Star Destroyer to ram ships as if it were a trireme!

But then she turned more serious. "Once these 'One Sith' are gone, once Shadow is finally dead. Doubt there'll peace for long after that though. This 'coalition of the willing' will splinter like the one that beat the Empire and begin a scramble for planets again," she blew out a stream of smoke into the air as she exhaled. While often surprisingly superficial in interpersonal reactions, particularly when there was a pretty face, she was a cynical woman. "Fortunately I'm out of the change the galaxy business. Got a great wifey and a life beyond battle to return to."

Before Ordo's declaration Siobhan had been convinced that the One Sith's dark lord was just a fraud and even somewhat inclined to think that Shadow might be playing puppeteer as a Voice. In the light of recent revelation she had discarded that theory because she simply could not see him hanging with them. He'd probably mock them for not being 'true Sith' since he was far more ancient!

Aurelio Murtix

The Ambitious Noble
"Finally that's over." Aurelio muttered to himself once the break began, "Another second of that drama and I would have left just to save my brain cells."

The young baron had simply sat and listened the whole time so far, losing concentration as the topics varied and never stayed too closely on point, and tuning out all together for a bit when it culminated in the angry departure of one of the attendees. So far out of a group that was meant to represent both the major powers of the galaxy and the smaller interests of voices that wished to be heard some of them turned out to be a bit...less than what he was expecting. Now the meeting itself was on break, leaving Aurelio to get comfortable in his chair while attending to his nails and looking around for anything to occupy his time.

Nothing of real importance had been done here so far, but he was determined to see that change whether it be him or someone else of actual worth among these representatives. At the very least the one who had been dragging the meeting through the idealistic mud had shown himself out, albeit violently, so now an actual discussion could be had without them worrying too much about the future of their alliance. The way Aurelio saw it this was a simple arrangement to help each other before going separate ways once the Sith were dealt with, so hopefully he could make sure that after everything was said and done himself and his people would come out ahead.

The question of course was how to do so, but the baron had something in mind for when the meeting re-organized himself, hopefully with some actual decor this time.

Thurion watched the debate-turned-verbal abuse and all he could do was shake his head. These people gathered here today were the leaders of the known galaxy, and suddenly he realised how easy it must've been for the Sith to swoop down upon Coruscant as they did. Politicians do nothing but argue and bicker amongst themselves. History has taught them nothing. He clenched his jaw while making sure everyone had exited the room before approaching Rosa with worry in his eyes.

"Rosa, are you alright? I hate to see you stand up there alone." He reached out to touch her arm in hopes of offering some small amount of comfort. "These people are in charge of maintaining order in the galaxy?" he then said with disbelief in his voice. "The next time this gets out of hand, I'm putting a stop to it." He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "What happens now?"

Gilamar Skirata

The most important step is always the next one
His lower lip trembled, the sudden shift in speech and the words the white haired man caused something in his mind to click. How had he not seen it before? Or heard it? He thought he knew his brother, but it seemed many things could change in a short time. His hand tightened into a fist and his jaw clenched tight. There was no capturing him today, that was for another time, another battle.

What was Ordo trying to accomplish joining the Sith? All they did was bring pain and suffering.

"Well that went better than I expected."

The droid quipped as he came from the meeting to join Kerrigan and Stahlmann's discussion, Stahlmann he knew briefly from the time the admiral was on Protectorate paycheck,

"Siobhan, nice exit back there, Admiral."

He would not to each of them, looking back at the meeting room which was emptying now,

"But no doubt the people will focus on the negatives rather than positives, a brief squabble that escalated quickly will be what they remembered."

The droid would look back to the two,

"The fact that we were able to exchange information on the Vong presence and equipment, the numbers and size of their fleets, tactics and weapons we can all use in our advantage, or the same with the Phrik armor as well as start to discuss possible counter-attacks. That will surely all be forgotten, few minutes of shouting that is what is important to young politicians these days, exchange of information and resources matters not."

He would look to other representatives gathered there,

"We need to discuss terms of this alliance before communications break down again, I had more weapons and tactics to show as well."

Coric had ignored the comments from the blonde Mandalorian. The delegates would not see reason, and it was obvious the Republic had a terminal problem. He let them report either trivial information or bicker among themselves without saying anything. There were a few times he wanted he wanted to speak, but decided against such action. Finally when the princess of Alderaan spoke, he finally took note and found himself nodding in agreement. He feigned disinterest as she left, but after few more delegates spoke Coric excused himself to get a drink.

He stepped outside and glanced around, spotting [member="Alyesa Praxon-Organa"]. He approached, walking straight to her. "My lady." He said with a bow. "I'm Coric Adromak, a PMC from Ession. It is honor to have your acquaintance. I heard the news of Alderaan and hope your time in exile is but short." He was formal but not overly so. Coric had not come to discuss alliances but to find new clients, and the Exiled Princess was a perfect opportunity.

She stumbled with her datapad and quickly set it down and jumped off the box, doing a quick but formal curtsy to [member="Coric Adromak"]. "My apologies. I'm still a bit flustered..." She offered a weak smile and extended her hand. "My name is Alyesa." She was a bit flustered with things, confused with the overall process and well Alderaan she had taken the blame for. It was her duty to protect the planet and she failed.

Olidiv Kenu

Behold, a Swordsman of Legend
Olidiv nodded. "I have intelligence, and a tactical recommendation. I believe it is possible to stage an operation on Coruscant. There are those on the planet eager to break their chains, I'm just here to see if I can get a hammer and chisel," he said matter-of-factly. "Still, at least the man gave us information on the fleet before he began to rave an rail about our perceived vendettas. I've no scores to settle with anyone here, myself," he said calmly.

He looked at the blonde Mandalorian. "Still, I sympathize with his anger. Sometimes, we all suffer the urge lash out at those who have wronged us. It's natural to fight power that has been used against you prior, be it in your own life, or the history of your kindred," he said calmly. "But, it's also possible that the very fact we're all talking here, despite our many differences, shows the need of common goals. And the usefulness of even limited unity. Not every coupling is a marriage, after all," he said with slight snicker.

He smiled slightly at HK-36 under his mask, gesturing to the Iron Knight of legend. "Bad or good, I'd like to discuss Coruscant when we reconvene, if that's alright. I believe, with the right resources, a third attack might be staged, and the pay-off would be a severe disruption to the One Sith's powerbase, provided I'm allowed a small group of men, and some assistance from crack pilots."

It took a bit. Signals were being re-routed and she had to type a new stream of Forb Basic to get through the pyrowalls. Finally she nabbed it --

Right as another holographic image of a Gammorean attempting to say "I wov you." went blooming over her main holographic screen. Who ever it was was toying with her...

Siara held a measure of pride with her work. She was good -- fething good. But this little game held a level of flavour distinctly familiar. Especially now that the origin of it went blooming in her sights in a bright red hot spot.

"Well... well well.." she would murmur, giving a glance every now and then to what was happening in the meeting. Fingers would drift over the holographic keys to slip in a new video file, one of very large piggy being roasted over an open fire -- along with a nasty trojan programme designed to take a peek at just what she was dealing with. If this had any kind of cybernetic ocular visual, she was about to get inside.

And get a good look at who was on the otherside.

Rosa fixed [member="Kalizka"] with a look one might get from an apex predator. She held her tongue though, unhelpful as the comment was, she needed to be the centre of calm for this. As people began to drift away from the conference room, or fall into their own conversations, Rosa closed her eyes for a moment and let her anger go. clear heads made better calls.

She opened them as [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] touched her arm. "I'm alright," she reassured him with a small smile "and unfortunately, yes. Honestly though, this is a good day. I expected a lot worse.."

She extended her mind to her fellow Levantine. Not only did we just have the Dark Lord in attendance himself but someone else is trying to listen.

"See what you can do to find the rest of those surveillance droids and put our security on high alert. I very much doubt that is the last of our dramatics today. Kal, I want to know everything you can find about Buliwyf Jarhulda. Where he came from, what ship he came on, how he got an invite if at all. Everything."

[member="Aurelia Saelari"]

"Plan your attack," he said over his shoulder as he opened the door, "But remember that what comes after me will only be worse."

[member="Rosa Gunn"] was being genre-savvy and so was the terminatrix on the site. Likewise she had noted the interaction between HK and Rosa before the great speechifying started, though she had not been able to read what he had written, but it sufficed.

The holographic projection of Moira Skaldi/Nalia Alderana had dissipated due to the break, but instructions were clear. Presumably her employer had left outside with the others and Callisto was not far from behind. An assassin droid was good at being silent and suddenly showing up at your side without a sound. So that was what she did. "I do not believe this location is safe, ma'am. I believe it has been compromised," she said softly.

Matt had been standing in the very back of the room, His job was very simple, run security for this place and watch everyone for anything. Of course he had already kind of failed at his job, but what was he do to against certain overwhelming forces? Nothing, he was only an old man after all, someone to feel bad for.

So instead, Matt had simply watched and listened.

Truthfully he had not really understood half of what had been said. Oh sure he had watched with interest when the Droid had showed all the fancy weapons and guns he'd used, and he had been impressed when the Lord Protector showed the analysis on the fleet of the One Sith, but the more subtle transferring lines of the conversation had completely flown over the old soldiers head. Perhaps that was just as well, he had never been a strategist or a leader, he simply knew things that others did not.

Having been a member of the Coruscant Security Force for nearly half a decade, having patrolled every sector of the planet at one point or another, Matt knew quite a bit about Coruscant.

The Old Soldier knew that others probably knew the same, heck they probably had maps that outdid him in a heartbeat. It was just as well that he was a part of the security team, and not a participant in this whole conversation. He supposed that when they all came back the arguments would begin again, the yelling had bothered him somewhat. When faced with such a potential threat people shouldn't be fighting, they should be agreeing.

Plus, the screaming had hurt his ears.

He frowned slightly as he waited for all of them to file back into the room, his head was spinning.

Not Ordo

Just under the upper hand.
[member="Rosa Gunn"]

"I already have, miss Gunn." Kal said leaning forward, "I lived with the Mandalorians for close to 50 years."

"I can't say what ship he came in but I can say what one he had when on Etii Vi." he continued as he reached into his satchel for a datapad, "Now or later?"

He took the princess's hand. "Unfortunately.... They can't protect you." he said, Coric's tone unchanging. "You were right back there. It will take all of them side by side, Levantines, Silver Jedi, Protectorate, one grand alliance is need to conduct the joint operation necessary turn and stay the tide. But already the Silver Jedi do not show. While I have no doubt the Chancellor and the Grand Master will do everything to liberate Alderaan, the upcoming offensive will have as much success as the one on Empress Teta did. At best as a consultant I give them a twenty five percent chance to win the planet back. A more conservative estimate would be at little less then twenty. " He continued to speak to [member="Alyesa Praxon-Organa"]

"I know you don't want to hear this." He let go of her hand and looked her straight in the eyes. "But if the operation fails, House Thul will sink its claws into the planet. And you will need start preparing more long term plans for your exiled house, the refugees of Alderaan, and those who plan to fight this new Empire. As one exile to another, I might be able to help." He said. "If your interested."

Preliat sat, tapping his crushgaunt adorned fingers on the table. Tap. Tap. Tap. He clutched his helmet, staring at his reflection in the visor.

He twirled his Ori'ramikade knife, that was tucked on the left side of his right boot.

"An endless cycle of war, which I just witnessed the roots of. How pleasant."
