Divided We Fall [Open to all but One Sith and their Allies]

Mrrew stayed quiet as he did before his suggestion, watching the presentation from the Lord Protector, and then observing the reactions of the other people present. Incom corporation was going to work on weaponized Baffor pollen. Good. Now they knew how to deal with the Vong easily, but the Sith still presented a threat. And they were right. They needed intel on the Sith. A spy... A spy could be useful. But he doubted that it would be practical. The Sith were powerful enough to surely reconize a spy virtually instantly. And it was certainly interesting to hear that they had a new Dark Lord- he had no idea before this meeting. So they weren't hiding their leader away in a closet anymore. Either they were getting stornger, and they knew it, or they were beginning to get cocky. Convinced that they couldn't be challenged, so they'd think it's safe to uncover some of their previous secrets. Or, prehaps he was thinking to much into it, and the Dark Lord just decided to step up.

Mrrew continued to stay silent, and observed the meeting carefully. Progress was being made. That was a good sign.

“Allow me to speak of the Sith fleet, for I was the one who defeated them at Alderaan,” Admiral Stahlmann said unexpectedly, coming further into the room where he had been watching matters.

“The Republic fleet, as Lady Kerrigan notes, is in stages of being remade and modernised. It was with this limited force that I was able to fight the Sith forces. Tactically the Sith did not put in all their ships, and in any case had a smaller fleet than I. They also made curious tactical blunders which allowed us to gain the day, though the defeat on the ground ensured I had to withdraw. From what I have seen the Sith possess both Vong and regular ships, but where they lack at the moment is heavy warships able to give and receive a pounding. The Republic fleet is more than capable of defeating them, ship for ship, especially when the modernisation program is complete. However, we must not be complacent, the enemy learned from their defeat and will return stronger than ever next time.”

Popo

I'm Sexy and I Know It
Popo scratched a cheek and thought silently for a moment. He debated on whether to speak up about the topic or not as it was sensitive information. Not in the sense that it was gathered by Republic assets, but because it was gathered by his old contacts. His old Cartel underlings. People who owed him favors from before or those who still tossed him information out of courtesy. His criminal past was gone, but not far behind him. He'd fallen into it, really. Not out of ineptness or accident, but out of necessity. Hutts were stereotyped as crime lords, even today. That stereotype meant that it was, literally, the only path he had for his position. Now, thankfully, he was beyond it, but he still had some tricks up his sleeve from his time there. Namely, the one he decided to play.

"I believe [member="HK-36"] touched on a subject: armor," the Hutt said after a moment. "Namely, heavy armor normally able to deflect, stop, or protect against... well, anything from blasters to rocks to lightsabers. My company makes a weapon that... well, it doesn't care. It penetrates beskar as easily as it penetrates durasteel or stone or butter. Disruptor weapons are, at this moment, highly illegal. Tenloss Corporation has made them since time immemorial. Since before the plague. Few are made now, even fewer sold, and never into areas where they're listed as illegal and never to those who have knowingly committed crimes."

Popo shrugged then. They probably knew that Tenloss made questionable items in the past and that the company had its roots in crime. The Hutt had done his best to transition away from that foundation and, he hoped, had been successful.

"As for the Republic's fleet, we may have an answer to that as well. Two, to be precise," he said calmly. "One is a ship design we're working on that I can't divulge much as it's highly classified. What I can tell you is that they'll revolutionize our naval and fleeting tactics entirely. The second is something we'll have to go get."

He hit the holoprojector he'd brought and set on the table as he spoke. A small section of space flickered to life, depicting a system between the Republic's northwestern borders and the Fringe's northeastern borders. It was colored red.

"This is Asahi. My resources say they've been recently rediscovered by an independent explorer. From what little information that has found its way to my ears," he said, not mentioning that the information in question had been from a former Cartel agent with ears to the One Sith or how much the man had risked to pass the information to the former Cartel Boss. "They have the beginnings of a fleet unseen in the galaxy as of yet. I know nothing more than that, other that the planet is currently occupied and that they may share origins with the Atresians at some point in their past. The possibility is there, though. If we can free that planet and their people, the can help us. I don't know why the fleet there is so valuable, but if it's valuable enough for that tidbit of information to get through, we can use it. At the very least, we can deny it to the One Sith."

Camellia had shown up somewhat late to the meeting and managed to enter and take her place some time around when the mention of the Baffor Pollen first came up. It had taken a while for the word of the meeting to reach the ears of the young Captain and coincidentally CEO of Rendili Stardrive, it then took her additional time to hear that her position as the the head of the still quite capable and renown shipyards meant she had an in into the proceedings. Most certainly this claim to a late entrance, from a post far later actually happening, was not due to the writer's lack of attention when this thread first appeared the other day and apprehensiveness of making a post in the area before asking if Camellia's presence was either welcome or alright.

So thusly as stated when Baffor Pollen was brought up much earlier, but still after the conversations began, Camellia Alexis Swift entered the conference and sidled to a spot near the majority of the members of the Republic. After all, Rendili itself was a Republic world, and many of Rendili Stardrive's new and/or remade designs were open to the Republic Military. Not to mention as well that Rendili's small planetary defense forces were also at the Republic's disposal. Certainly Rendili was a world the Republic need not worry about ever finding defenseless, in fact Alyeson Organa's comments reinforced the idea in the young Rendili woman's mind that the Republic perhaps needed to work on encouraging the idea of planetary defense forces to be rekindled. It would certainly save on the Republic itself having to dedicate the resources to maintain large standing sector fleets. Sure a Planetary Defense Force would be smaller than a endorsed fleet or army under the Republic military, but they wouldn't need to travel across systems to reach a world in time to defend it, though such forces would also likely be less directly under the Republic's command. Not to mention there could still be Republic Forces kept up, just with much less urgency and allowing them to maintain a wider net of control per block since a PDF could handle things until the Republic Cavalry arrived.

It didn't seem like something to maybe bring up at the moment though. She wasn't exactly a battle veteran like the majority of others here, nor was her company's standing as long held. Still, they were bringing their facilities up quickly and getting ships off the line along with a few other works for ground ops, if in fewer numbers since Rendili's strength lay in its shipyards. Which did prompt one remark out of the young Captain and CEO filled with planetary pride as the Chancellor mentioned apparently a few designs the Republic Engineering was likely working on. "Rendili Stardrive as well has a new warship designs its slowly pushing for approval. We're actually quite hopeful for its effectiveness, we haven't gotten much chance to show off the technical prowess of its key feature, just some technology we can't often deploy without the proper funding. We're hoping to have its construction approved and produce a few of these ships before the war efforts pick up again. Nonetheless, our shipyards have been operating at near max capacity and we're hoping to gain the necessary backing eventually to once more bring our full yards back online. Even if the design our docks are hoping to put together won't be ready there are many other units out of Rendili Stardrive ready to be launched against the Sith incursions."

HK-36

The droid would perk up at Popo's mention of armor and disruptor beams,

"Ah, yes, now if we could move on to my next point of presentation, personal armor of the One Sith, I will present methods against the Phrik plating which I have developed that are not as frowned upon in most territories."

HK quipped, referring to the disruptor beams,

"Most of the armor I have seen utilized in Sith personnel has not been too stellar, mostly Durasteel suits, and not of the greatest quality either, if they have not upgraded their armor after latest Battle of Coruscant, then we still have advantage over them in that regard, there are units clad in Vong Crab Armor, which I have discussed already, and then there is Phrik."

He would turn to his holo-projector pacing the room once more, hopefully Popo deactivate his projector for now to let the droid keep going. Either way, the projector showed a man clad in armor with a rifle in his hands among raging battle between the Protectorate and the Sith, Jedi Temple seen in background,

"The Fall of Coruscant, among the battle I have faced a soldier with armor different than that worn by Sith Knights or other Sith troops."

Seen from droid's perspective in quick movement of a gunslinger a pistol would appear in the corner of the vision and trigger pulled as the man suddenly jerked backwards as if pulled by invisible strings behind him,

"His chest-plate was able to stop a straight on shot from a Verpine Shattergun, the armor was damaged as you can see,"

The droid motioned to the projector as the image zoomed in on the man's chest, a bigger dent clearly seen in it,

"But the man survived the battle to keep fighting. Now, what was the solution I came up with to deal with that. One of them was a very simple one, next time bring a bigger gun to the battle,"

The projector would show now designs to what seemed like a rail gun meeting a shoulder-fired rocket launcher,

"Case in point, the MD-1, simply a personal Mass Driver, if any of you have seen a bolt gun Mark 1 and its ammunition up close, it is a rather big weapon, if any of you have wondered what would happen if one was to make a Shattergun Rifle that fired ammunition like that, well here is your solution."

One more the image displayed by the projector would change under droid's internal control as once more it would display image from Coruscant, this time the droid was watching somebody from a high vantage point, their image visible behind a cover of rocks via thermal sensing.

"Battle of Coruscant, just recently, while evacuating the building where me and my squad took cover in to provide sniper support I have noticed a being trying to sneak towards my position by masking her presence with the Force, when the Monroe Vail of the Dral was activated the Sith has decided it was better to wait it out in cover of rocks rather than retreat."

In slowed vision the Sith would be seen moving, as if talking to somebody or on a communications device as the vision changed to targeting mechanism, it was HK bringing up his MD-1 to take aim, slowly the Sith is shown lifting her head up, standing even, to look at the battlefield from her cover, the image pause, those who would know Darth Banshee, Mandalorians especially, would recognize her or her armor.

"The Sith decided to abandon her cover briefly, as I found out after the shot her armor was made from Phrik, I pull the trigger, and-"

The holo-projector would resume the presentation as suddenly there was flash at the Sith's chest, the impact of the explosive hyper-velocity bullet, and Sith Lady was seen flying back like a rag doll, the image paused to show her mid-flight from the shock-wave and impact of the projectile.

"As you can see, the armor she worn was battered, especially around the impact.. crater."

He motioned to her chest, which very much seemed cave-in, the plates around the area were glowing,

"And the speed of the projectile upon impact, as well as the super-heated shrapnel and explosives themselves caused her Phrik armor to heat, most likely causing severe burn damage to the wearer. Not to mention the blunt trauma her body would suffer."

The droid would look to others then,

"Whether she has survived the shot, I do not know, me and my partner, Kaida, were forced to move to neighboring building to pursue another target."

The holo-projector would switch to show designs to what seemed like force pikes as the droid kept going with his presentation,

"However, these guns are about as big as any heavy weapon, and just as heavy, my partner was temporarily stunned by the sound of the gunshot from it, and they are rather quick on revealing your position. I have developed something much more subtle-"

Ironically it was at that word that during his scan the droid did notice something in the room he has not noticed before, he would continue his pace around the room,

"-Subtle, hrm. I called it the Spears of Rae, it is a modified version of the Force Pikes utilized by the Old Empire, however, they are able to pierce Phrik, Beskar, and Vonduum Crab armor at melee combat, something no lightsaber would be able to do."

Stopping by one of the walls, he would lean back on it, slowly, carefully, his right arm would begin to move, utilizing the shape-shifting systems of his body, a mocking mimic of the Shi'ido biology, to change the position of his armor plates, his arm would start to stretch and elongate, a bit creepishly so as he continued to speak.

"I was not yet able to test it in combat, or against Beskar, as the material was not accessible to me, but the weapon is based around simple theory. What is the one metal that is able to pierce Phrik for sure? More Phrik, of course. The spear heads and blades of this weapon are forged from Phrik, a trading deal I have established with the Moross as part of my payment for Silken Asteroids."

As his arm finished shaping he would slowly creep it along the wall, until he almost reached the ceiling, slithering it as if it was a snake until with one swift movement it grabbed something, the droid would bring it down to have a closer look at it, sparks dancing between his fingers from the electro-pad of Electro-Cestus he worse to zap the little thing quickly and disable it. He would continue his pace, heading towards Rosa's seat as he continued to speak, taking out a datapad with his free hand.

The holoprojector would show the test footage of the weapon, a plate of metal would be securely bolted to two black poles of graphite as a droid in grey armor, vessel body, and cloak stood in front of it, the machine would light up the blue blade of his lightsaber as he took a few slashes and stabs at the plate of Phrik to demonstrate its quality as control group. The droid's efforts would not yield results on the footage as he tried to stab some more at it, finally two other droids showed in the hologram, seemingly speaking to it although the sound was still muted. The testing droid threw aside his saber as he begun to punch at the plate, the other two droids stepped in quickly, their grey cloaks violently moving as they dragged off the other droid, testing unit apparently extremely pissed that he could not harm a plate of metal.

A Gados in a lab coat would step in holding what looked like an elongated hilt of a lightsaber with a sharpened point, pressing a button a spear would shoot out from it, pressing it again it would elongate once more into a nice length, good for fighting and throwing. The Gados would stand in front of the Phrik plate then, taking the hilt of the spear in his fuzzy hands as he pulled it back slightly, and stabbed through it, the polearm lodging itself in the Phrik plate, with another good push it was pushed through completely the plate of Phrik.

Another droid would appear, this time holding a much longer version of the weapon, seemingly a pike, standing some distance from it he held it like a javelin, taking a few quick steps forward he would launch it in quick throw at the plate, piercing it clean through, the pole of the pike vibrating slightly as its momentum stopped. The hologram would zoom in on the plate of Phrik to show the holes the weapons created in it.

"As you can see, the Phrik is not the ultimate material in defense anymore, its reign is coming to an end, we now have weaponry to use against it. And as long as the Sith are not able to say the same, we have a great advantage in that regard. Before I will continue to speak about the cybernetic One Sith armor I have faced lately, are there any questions so far regarding the Phrik armor and ways to fight them?"

The droid would not look to audience just yet as he was finally by Rosa's side, he would throw down before her whatever he was able to catch. Tumbling on the table with quiet clink was a burned out micro-surveillance droid, curtsey of [member="Siara Kai"], the droid would put down the droid he held in his hands before Rosa, his arm shaped back to its normal length by then.

The datapad before her read "SOMEBODY IS LISTENING TO THIS"

HK reached down to tap the datapad as text changed to "I CAN CLEAR ELECTRONICS HERE WITH EMP IF YOU WANT."

He would watch Rosa for indication of what was her command to deal with the possible espionage presence.

Olivia sat quietly and watched the various displays and listened to each speaker in turn. When the droid asked as to the status of the Mandalorian fleet, she was surprised that Mand'alor Skirata had not redirected the question at herself. Perhaps old age or the effects of his condition? She was unsure if the fleet adviser he spoke of was her younger brother or not, he had served as liaison between the Clan and the Mand'alor for some time... But he was only a captain. Perhaps Gilamar had been eluding to another... Either way, she had not been called upon to answer as to the status of her clan's fleet and was most assuredly not going to volunteer that information to people who could easily divert to enemies over the coming months.

She found herself drawn to the actions and briefing of [member="HK-36"] in regard to the pike that could pierce Phrik armor. He... It. It proposed the possibility of piercing Beskar with the weapon, but being unable to test such a feature.

Olivia wanted to know the answer to that particular question. Not entirely for the purpose of combating the Sith, but more to the lines of knowing the limitations of her own soldiers. Briefly her eyes went to [member="Preliat Mantis"] and his suit of Beskar'gam before returning to the droid.

Lightly, Olivia tapped her sword's sheath on the floor. It was her way of asking to be heard. Once approved to speak using the antiquated formalities of the meeting, Olivia spoke directly to the droid. "Do you have one of these weapons here?" She asked, before glancing at the beskar encased hands the young Mandalorian were resting on the table.

Surely he didn't need both of those.

[OOC: So much to comment on, bear with me!]

Rosa’s stylus danced across her datapad making notes, lest she got lost in the technicalities of it all. There were fresh idea’s here, talk of weaponizing Baffor pollen. “Repopulation was successful,” Rosa piped up “Master Boolon,” she stumbled for a moment, blinked away whatever sorrow flashed in her face and continued “He used it, and from what I recall, the was a Horde attack on Myrkr in past months, I believe it was used to defeat them there.” She looked briefly towards the mandalorians for any indication that she was incorrect. When there was none she returned her attention back to her datapad and stylus, making more notes as people spoke.

Words like ‘adaptable’ and ‘fanatics’ stood out. Perhaps she could give an insight to the one sith and their devotion, but nothing that could really assist in the greater movement of a battle. She looked up as [member="Noah Corek"] began to display files of information, she opened her mouth to ask him about Isolda, when Alyesa spoke up and addressed her.

Rosa would bow her head to [member="Alyesa Praxon-Organa"] is acknowledgment of her thanks. She herself was pleasantly surprised that no one had tried to kill each other yet. It spoke volumes about their desire to rid the galaxy of the One Sith. It was incredible really, what a common cause could do to bring people together. She was not given an opportunity to comment, however. She listened intently as each gave their input, asking questions, making suggestions about new weapons, tactics.

There was an issue that HK had not yet touched upon, something no one had touched upon. Her eyes moved to settle, briefly on [member="Kiskla Grayson"]. Perhaps they could cover the issue of Isolda and the rest of those directly linked to this Dark Lord once discussion of arms was over. Her attention was redirected when HK placed a surveillance droid on the table in front of her. She blinked slowly, blowing a sigh out of her nose and shaking her head at his offer.

Scooping up the droid she turned to [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] and threw it for him to catch. She didn't need to say anything, he would be perceptive enough to understand that any others needed to be found. While an EMP was the faster way, it would short out everything, including the holoprojectors which Ayden Cater and the woman from Archangel were using to attend the meeting. Such a disturbance could not be afforded, not when the meeting was going so well. Besides which, Rosa knew well enough that if the One Sith wanted to hear what was going on, they wouldn't be so crude as to use surveillance droids. No, this was an information broker, and that didn't concern Rosa half as much as it did the One Sith.

Eyes widened at [member="Olivia Dem'adas"]. "No." she answered for HK, she didn't care if he had a the weapon with him or not, she was not allowing it in this room. She waved a hand at HK to halt on his presentation. "Hold, on Baron," she said. A hand moved to still and shrink his projection. She tugged the one Popo had set on the table forward, enlarging the image.

“If the Sith lose control of this planet, they lose their hold over everything north of Asahi. Thats a loss that may make them think twice. Just for a moment, humour me. If you were to combine your forces effectively,” she looked towards [member="Gilamar Skirata"], [member="Ayden Cater"] and [member="Popo"] . “Without the propositions of new weaponry, could you take it with what you have to hand?”

Olidiv Kenu

Behold, a Swordsman of Legend
Olidiv evaluated the present company warily. So far, there was little talk of intelligence, save for [member="Noah Corek"]. He nodded as if to signal to Corek. He held up a hand, waiting until after the leaders had answered Rosa's question to posit his own. He was no general or commander. He was, to put it mildly, a mercenary and slicer who felt he could lend a hand to to these folks. So far, none of them, not a single one, seemed to acknowledge the issues of occupation. Or intelligence gathering on the planet. He'd have to present his own findings. "I'm not the most miltary-oriented personnel here, but I'd like to present what information I've gathered on the current situation of the populace in Coruscant. I think it may be helpful to the discussion at hand, to know the situation within the Sith's own area, and what resources we can exploit in it."

[member="Jonathon Patches"] [member="HK-36"]

'Where is the blood?!" Came Siara’s rather aggravated cry to the many data screens before her, gesturing with her hand her frustration.

Come on! Give a girl something for quality entertainment!” would come her mewl, leaning back against the comfy chair she’d pilfered for this stakeout.

Ansion was not the most quality of planets for having a make-shift base of operations. Grasslands and low shrubs certainly didn’t provide much for cover. It was a backwater world after all.

But this was the city proper, and while there may not be the choice locations as that on Coruscant, she had a nice little area going in a shipping warehouse not too far yonder. One Blackwing would be nearby, allowing for a quick exit if needed.

Disgust would present itself by clucking of her tongue and a snort, her hand reaching over to get herself a glass of whiskey as she watched the proceedings. It was in that moment that she caught something within that stream of code, woven between the layers.

She set the glass down, leaning forward to prompt the holographic keyboard to life. A quick tapping of keys soon had a rather disturbing holographic video feed come up.

A Womprat dry humping a Bantha’s leg.

What in the -- Confusion would furrow her brow, as someone had managed to intricately slip this line of code in.

Her eyes would turn into thin slits, and that aggravation from before would fan, but no longer due to the lack of fisty cuff fights in the summit.

No, this was due to someone daring to play with her code.

Alright there, wanna play a game?” she went to work, “We’ll play a game.”

She half noticed one of her datascreens running static. Oh, one of the surveillance droids had been found out.

No matter.

She had more.

You can’t stop the signal.

"If we are to use each other's equipments in an effort to destroy the Sith.."The Commando's eyes flickered over to [member="Gilamar Skirata"], obviously not incredibly comfortable with the notion. He looked over to the Clan Leader, [member="Olivia Dem'adas"], showing them both his disapproval but his knowledge that they would all have to work together to defeat their common enemy. He gave off a hearty chuckle, his brown eyes glancing up to @Popo. A wolfish, awful smile creeped over his lips and pulled them back. He clearly needed to work on his smiling skills- but his dentist and his brushing habits were absolutely superb.

He smiled as [member="HK-36"] brought up the video of the Sith being hurt. Clearly, it made him happy to see the Sith dying and in pain.

"Funny how things change when there's a bigger bully in the school."

She offered a grunt. "The Wolf's hit the nail on the head, and if history's got one lesson, enemy of my enemy doesn't work in the long run. Tomorrow we'll still have all the differences, all the split interests we have today. Which means we get one shot at this before it falls apart."

"I did meant to bring up the long-terms of this alliance eventually. For now what I propose regarding our counter-attack."

The droid would turn to the projected star-map,

"Is a double or triple-prong attack. We launch strike led by our Mandalorian friends on Empress Teta in order to help them bring Ordo the Unbelievable to justice. This will be an attack the Sith will most likely suspect, we will let them gather there for defenses, the battle will be heavy no doubt."

He would motion from Empress Teta to Asahi then,

"Once Liberation of Empress Teta begins the Republic leads a strike on Asahi, siege of Empress Teta should create an opening there of sorts, should we get Asahi in our control that will cut the Sith Northern Territories as Madame Rosa mentioned."

The droid would point towards Alderaan then,

"If we decide on three-way attack, I propose for Protectorate to lead front on Alderaan, denying the Sith Phrik will be vital in this war, I believe, and if Liberation of Alderaan succeeds, Coruscant will be cut off from the Sith, if they do not surrender immediately, we would be able to launch siege of the planet immediately and liberate the Republic's capital."

At that he would look towards [member="Olidiv Kenu"],

"And our alien friend there does bring up good point, we need to discuss intelligence, I still have my own agent on Coruscant, I could attempt to contact him once more."

Finally he would look to others to hear their comments and opinions.

Buliwyf stood at the mention of the alliance falling apart, that was his fear as well.

"Does the alliance have to end?" Buliwyf said his voice breaking in after the droid spoke, "Are you all not strong enough to hold together after you win? To what purpose do you fight at all if all you plan to do is bicker like children when you're done? I see so many intelligent people here, each one wanting what is best for their people. and still you mean to tell me that when the threat is gone you'll all go back to hording territory and looking out of the corner of your eyes at one another, like greedy wayward infants screaming, "NO MINE!"?"

He shook his head as he walked around the table slowly toward the door.

"Are you any better than the sith?" He asked in disbelief, "are you here because they made you mad and you want payback or do you really give a damn about peace for your people? tell me quickly because I'm disgusted with the thought."

Buliwyf's sudden outburst left Siobhan thoroughly unimpressed. Far as she was concerned he seemed ignorant of the real world, but then she was a tremendously cynical, jaded woman with little time for idealism. "The Sith are a vile threat to all and that's why they must be destroyed. There can be no peace with them. But this alliance is nothing more than that...a necessity. To expect everyone to idealistically come together after the war is over is unrealistic. We deal in reality, not perfection. Tomorrow things will look differently and old rivalries will surface," Siobhan said with a shrug.

"In any case, I see a two-pronged attack as advised. Keeps us from spreading our forces thin. If the Dark Lord is at Teta the defences will be extremely heavy. Even if he falls, that won't mean the Sith go away."

"And in turn, billions of people have lost lives." She stood up from the table. "I pledge myself, to this Alliance on whatever front possible. Be it political or otherwise. However you will have me."
