It's the way it's constructed that makes it worthy of the most watched trailer EVER -
Each shot, underlined by a stunning 88 seconds of music by John Williams, is bigger and bolder than the previous, and appeals to the Star Wars child in all of us bit by bit.
Tatooine - New droid - Stormtroopers - New speeder - X-Wings - New lightsaber...and then when you think he's teased enough JJ just says "screw this, you've earnt it!" and gives us the theme blast AND the Falcon.
The emotional pull gets bigger and bigger each second until it just explodes. Such a perfectly crafted teaser. One of the greatest I've ever seen, and not just because it's Star Wars.
