Episode IV: No Hope

Location: Sith Temple, Coruscant

"Gone?" Valtryx asked, puzzled and slightly annoyed after one of the acolyte's in the Sith Temple had disturbed her meditation. However it was certainly news worth being disturbed for, as it seemed to be galaxy-wide. The acolyte had showed her a holonet news report, showing that all over people had disappeared without a trace. If that wasn't enough, worlds and societies had fallen to chaos, riots and rebellions everywhere taking advantage of the event. The Yodaling rubbed her temples, vexed by what had happened. Waving her hand slightly to dismiss the acolyte, Valtryx tried to focus on the force, maybe finding answers in it. Instead it gave her a pain, not exactly physical, as if the force had suddenly changed somehow. With a grave face Valtryx looked out her window into the sky, troubled. Her computer terminal was beside her, and with it she drew up the few contacts she could find and knew, sending them one simple message.

"Still here?"

If they didn't reply then she knew they were gone.
And for some of them she hoped they had gone.

Message transmitted to: [member="Krest"] [member="Darth Arcanix"] [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"]

Location: Rendili currently

Taeli was on the steps leading up to the next floor of a building that contained security forces from the Rendili home forces when her datapad pinged. Curious, she pulled it on and leaned against the wall as she read a message from one of her apprentices. At least Valtryx was still in the galaxy, and on Coruscant apparently.

"On Rendili assisting our forces," she mouthed as she typed a reply to [member="Darth Valtryx"] and encrypted the message. "Will be back on Coruscant soon."

Satisfied, she continued her climb and was glad at least one apprentice was still on the Sith capital.

Gherron tried Vulpesen's number for a few more times, to no avail. Maybe it was time to do something he never, ever did. Watch the news. Tuning his holo to the right coordinates, he sat back in his chair and waited patiently for something to come up, but nothing did. Strange... wasn't the news 24/7? Gherron stared at it oddly. Maybe Nef would pick up... He called his love two, three, four times, with no answer. "What the hell is going on here?" Neither his best fiend, nor his girlfriend would answer, and Rael was gone too. Was the entire galaxy playing tricks on him? Sighing, he called a man he had hoped never to see again. Maybe the red man had some idea as to why nobody seemed to be out there.

Location: Space

A frown formed over the red man's face as the messages began to pour in. So there were more who remained. People he knew at least. But, if he was going to continue, he was going to need them all in one place. Returning back to the head of his ship now dressed in his usual armor, he would send out his own message to any and all he could.

"Get to Coruscant."

And with that he would point his ship to the planet, knowing full well he may not be greeted with a smile. But that wasn't important. Turning his head to his droid, he would nod once.

"Get me a line to [member="Darth Arcanix"] ."

"Yes, what do you want?" Taeli asked, noticing the incoming comm from Krest. She was currently walking over a few more snipers that she had defeated on Rendili, although it would seem the planet was well on the way for taking by the Sith. She was very curious why he was contacting her now though, and was surprised he had remained in the galaxy.

Vulpesen whirled at the sound of a comlink and quickly flicked it on, sighing in relief as he saw the face of [member="Gherron Vael"]. "Thank the stars. Vael, we have a problem here on Veradune." His tone was unusually panicky. The reason being that for once in his life, Vupesen was discovering what it was to feel pure, unaltered, bone shaking fear.

Location: Coruscant, en route to Sith Temple Hangar Bay

The replies came, and Valtryx was quite pleased with the results. Nothing from Alexandra, which hopefully meant her problem had been dealt with by whatever had happened. For a moment she was almost pleased about this event, as so far it had done her no harm. Except in the force...

She put her thoughts aside and instead saw that Krest was coming to Coruscant and that her master was alive but off-planet. It wasn't the best case scenario, but nevertheless she formulated a plan. The Yodaling sent Krest the exact location of the Sith Temple's own Hangar Bay, as well as landing permission codes. Whether he would need them was a mystery; maybe the hangar operators had disappeared too?

Valtryx donned her dark brown robe and exited her personal quarters, making haste towards the Hangar Bay. As she passed the various parts of the Temple she realized just how many people had disappeared, and the ones that remained were either in despair or confusion.

This would be an interesting meeting indeed...

Though he didn't get a full reply from the zabrak, he'd been told to go to Coruscant. Finally, evidence of someone else out there. Turning his ship in the direction of the planet, he went into hyperdrive. Sighing at the quiet void that now filled his ship, he started up when his holoreceiver stared beeping. Vulps. "Vulps, finally! I thought you were gone too. I'm having trouble here, nobody's answering my calls, and my padawan, Rael is gone." Though the kaleesh wasn't his padawan anymore, his mind was going crazy as it was. "How's Alex and the kids? Are they safe?" He paused for a second, giving himself some time to calm down. "I'm going to Coruscant to meet with some of those that are left. I know, Sith planet, blah blah blah. But I highly doubt they're gonna give a kark with all that's going on. Meet me there, okay?"

[member="Vulpesen"]

Vulpesen's hands trembled. "I'd meet you there but I've got to keep my people from uprising." Already he could hear the shouts and he felt a large presence of lives gathering at the temple doors. "Listen, if Coruscant doesn't work out, contact me and I'll give you the coordinates." He kept his comlink in his hand, making his walk down from his quarters. He'd have a bit more time to talk to the jedi but once he reached the exit, he would have a mass of zorrens to calm down.

"The Galaxy is empty. I think it may be time to meet in person once again, and see what we can do about this disaster." Krest's ship was already on the way to [member="Darth Valtryx"] , thankfully he was close. It may be another ten or so minutes before he would drop out of hyperspace. "I'm going to meet with your apprentice. Get there when you can."

Nodding, Gherron understood his friend's predicament. He had to calm his people down. But Gherron had priorities too. And at the top of them were finding Nefertari and Rael. "Good luck, old friend. Hopefully this will all work out." Ending the call, he was left to wonder. Was he comforting Vulpesen or himself when he said that? Hard to tell. All he could do was meet with whoever was left. Krest's message sounded like it was for a large amount of people, so hopefully he had a plan. Dropping out of hyperspace, he looked down at Coruscant below him, and waited.

Location: Coruscant Sith Temple Hangar Bay

Valtryx eventually arrived in the hangar bay to find it empty. Not even a single worker was present who could let Krest in if he were to arrive. With that, the Yodaling herself leaped up to the hangar controls, scanning them for anything that might be a simple 'OPEN' lever. Luckily she managed to figure out the controls, and after a few button presses the hangar doors opened.

With another leap to the hangar ground, she began clearing aside cargo boxes with the force, making way for any ships that were coming. However when she tried to lift one box, it flew violently out of her control and into the wall. She looked down at her hand, bewildered as to what was happening. The clearing would have to do for now, hopefully Krest would be there soon...

Lord High Grand Commander Esq.
Immeria

And they were off in the opposite direction. Owain groaned as he felt his arm beginning to ache. Was she trying to yank it off. But then they were in the room and Felicity was using quite un-ladylike language. Still, this was an emergency. People going missing without rhyme or reason...

[member="Felicity Mason"]

Location: Imerria
objective: roll call.

She would have blushed at the language she'd just used, but this was an emergency. And Felicity was desperate, terrified. She didn't know what she would find when she went to the Courtyard. Maybe she would see Uncle B looking annoyed. Maybe she would see Celeste looking mortified at the language she used. Maybe she'd find Daddy standing with his arms crossed and his head cocked to one side.
...Maybe she'd find no one at all.

"I'm seriously scared [member="Owain"]," she admitted, "if anybody is missing, I don't know what I'll do..."

She wanted to cry. She always wanted to cry. Ugh. It was stupid. Here she was, this tough girl with this don't-mess-with-me attitude, famous for being cold and distant at the Academy. And in secret, by herself, all she wanted to do was cry...

Coruscant, Orbit.

Whisps had been in three different prisons since the invasion of Mannan, he had given up all hope trying to get out, however several of the guards just went poof. Curios he asked "What's happening?"

"Nothing that concerns you" was the reply he got, typical. He was lying on his durasteel bed, it had gotten comfy after a week. he kept reflecting on the battle that got him there. Khallesh, she was why he was there an not in he Jedi academy.

In Umbris Potestas Est
The messages from the datapad went to whoever was still alive in the galaxy. People as far apart as [member="Ven'Rain Sekairo"], [member="Ashin Varanin"], [member="Spencer Jacobs"], [member="Ayden Cater"], [member="Baroness Magrath"], [member="Silara"], [member="Coryth Elaris"], [member="Darth Vornskr"], [member="Ronin Xyhn"], [member="Vilox Pazela"], [member="Alicia Drey"] and more... If Circe had interacted with them at any given point, the message would reach their datapad. If they were close associates of someone Circe had known, such as [member="Vulpesen"], it was possible that they had received the message through said person's datapad. The more people who could be involved, the merrier.

Considering the tremendous amount of uncontrolled credit accounts, Jentara figured that now would be a perfect opportunity to accrue the necessary finances for her future plans. Because of that, she brought along [member="SARI"]'s datachip, with whatever else she felt could be packed on board Circe's pocket carrier. The droids would be staying here, but for now, they were transporting what they could to the ship. it was important that she rendezvoused with [member="Krest"] in order to ensure the success of this plan - without it, the galaxy could descend into chaos.

And after all, the last thing that Jentara needed was for the Vong or some other extragalactic species of alien to invade while the galaxy was in shambles.

LOCATION: Ship
STATE OF MIND: Oh Chit
OBJECTIVE: Call. Circe. Now.

She had woken up to find her apartment building half empty. No one was answering her messages.
When she got to the spaceport, she found a lone man trying to break into her ship, the only one left there.
After the poor fellow was knocked out she realized just how alone she felt.

So she did the only thing that came to mind: She called Circe. @Enigma. Whatever she went by these days. But that wasn't enough, she duplicated the message, sending it to associates of her former lover, hoping someone knew where the ex-plant was.
Someone had to.
And Circe... damn it... she had to know what was going on.

Dear Whom It May Concern,

I need to speak to Circe Savan. Tell her it's urgent. Really urgent. She'll know who I am.
Sincerely,
The Mad Merc

The only bad part of her disguise was that her voice remained the same. As such, she immediately responded to her - well, Circe's compatriot, audio only. "Ven... Listen. There's not much time. I currently have the droids packing up whatever I can load onto my drone carrier. I'm getting some people together so we can help stabilize the chaos and stop this galaxy from going to hell. Tell me where you are and I'll be there as soon as I can to get you and anyone else you can find."

Hopefully she would understand, and perhaps respond if need be.

LOCATION: Space, in Ship
STATE OF MIND: Nervous
OBJECTIVE: Send Circe Coordinates

Phew, she was alright. At least one person she knew was okay, despite all of this madness. None of her relatives, however, had responded. Not even Ire... This was bad. This was a crazy bad situation and she was very, very glad she at least had her oldest friend to help her.

"I'm sending you my coordinates now. Please, get here soon."
And then all she could do was wait.
