Escape from Purgatory •[Thread Planning/OOC Discussion]•

At this rate, most everyone won't be able to get to their post until tomorrow. I always figured that post orders were created based on a first come, first serve basis. What I mean by that is "5 PCs show up and post within 30 minutes of the thread going up. Because they showed up first, they're first in the post order. They have gotten their post in and now they just have to wait for 10 other PCs to file in with their posts. Once everyone who plans to/does actually show up, the post order has been made."

It's been over 12 hours because it took Dax 8 hours to post in first, it took Nicair 2 hours to post in after Dax and then it took Jaster 3 and a half hours after that to post in. Establishing a post order before a thread gets tossed up is like an accident forcing the pace of a highway into a painful crawl.

Yeah sorry. Afternoons are bad for me. :/

Here is what I suppose. Everyone who replies by tomorrow at 8:00 am EST will go in that order. Anything before that will not count. So whoever posts at 8:05 goes first, the next person (say at 8:10) goes second and so on and so forth. Sound good?

That sounds good to me. I was available to post for the entire day, but wasn't able to due to the post order stuff.

That and I had to figure out the experiments they would be doing to my character, as well as potential draw backs and repercussions.

Yeah, I was thinking something along those lines as well or everyone could post/list here in the OOC thread their rough, usual availability for posting so that we can rearrange the posting order around if necessary.

I know what you mean haha. Today's one of my days off and I've just been hanging around the forum reading threads and watching videos.

[member="Singularity"] Same here. I'm back to work for the rest of the week starting early tomorrow morning. I'll try to keep updated on the thread while im at work, as I may have some down time here and there throughout the day.

Oh experiment ideas! I have one. We make an Achilles stim drug. You become super powerful, all your body functions are boosted. Speed, strength, agility, stamina, and reflexes. However, this draws heavily on your body so the duration you use the drug for you must make up for it in the immediate future by eating, sleeping, and recovering. For double the time the drug was consumed. So 24 hours of the drug would be 48 hours of recovery. If not recovering properly there will be sickness, headaches, blackouts, and other bad things. We could steal/recover a sample from Purgatory or one of their labs and make our own in the company.

Well, I already posted my submission to the thread. My character was implanted with an experimental Regenerator, which allows him to heal quickly from injuries. However, I made it to where his bodies pain receptors can't keep up with the speed of the regeneration, so even long after the wounds have healed, he'll still remain in severe pain, which may impact him heavily psychologically. He may also sign on to receive experimental painkillers due to the intensity of the pain he has to deal with due to 'past' injuries. He'd probably become addicted to the painkillers as well.

I tried something like that beforehand, though through the OOC thread here; we reworked it a few times around everyone's schedule but, thus far, the time taken between posts in the main thread has been mostly situational. It probably would've been best to do as you suggested, but now that everyone's following a predetermined post order, one that we've already taken the time to organize, it might only add to the confusion to rework it.

Okay. I'll just wait, then. However, how long should we wait for a person to post before PMing them, saying we need to move on to the next person, and then informing the next person in line to go?
