Exploring

Looking at it and once they had all of their things, here in the tunnels they could keep traveling and the sounds below as there were small sections with the icean visible. Lagoon style rooms they had set up with the dark waters there on display. Junko was leading the way through the tunnel to discover all of it as the inner chamber become something large and massive. The tunnel giving way to a massive statue that was standing there looking down at them. Carved into the stone and holding it up with a distinctive lightsaber on its belt. "That is not something that I expected to see."

The Bounty Hunter gazed up at the massive statue in complete awe...and horror...this was exactly why she didn't like statues..."That dude is most definitely a Sith..." the red head muttered as she circled around the statue. She had her doubts of it being a Jedi...for one they didn't really like effigies being built of them...especially by unrelated...anythings. And then another thought struck the woman, "Hold on, how the feth did this giant bosh'tet get down here? I thought these tunnels were ancient!"

Junko was walking around with her and she spoke. "They are and so is the stone." she said it holding a glow rod up and directing the light to show where its feet and head with the arms were carved into it. The arms holding up the massive ceiling of the room where she could check out some more of it. "It rock here can be carved still much like the walls." She kept moving and there was a lot on the statue as well as showing plenty of other places. "Though the jedi have built things on this world and on the moons. We found older temple, same as the sith with some temples and palaces."

The bounty hunter shivered, the giant statue reminding her far too much of her home world. "Lets get going..." she said quietly. The red head quickly moved around the statue, not willing to look at the hewn stone.

Jedi, Sith, the statue had no distinguishing features. Kat had learned long ago that when someone made a giant statue of themselves, it was built on the backs of the poor. Even if it were a statue of some Jedi, she wasn't quite sure she trusted even them at times.

Junko had to agree with that, traveling like this down here well she knew they might be able to lose track of time and orientation in some cases. There was no sun, no real way to know what direction they were going on. Junko was eating and drinking some of the food while checking to make sure they were still doing the path here until she could feel something else in here. There was a sensation of the world and everything around them before she spoke. "Hmm the path is still a lot more clean then I thought it would be. This far out into the ocean there shouldn't be much to see."

Kat nodded as they walked, taking a long drink from the cask of wine, letting the warmth of the alcohol wash over her, "Its like these people just stopped in the middle of whatever they were doing and walked into oblivion." Kat pointed out, closing the cask as she did so.

"I wonder, that giant statue, regardless of it being Jedi or Sith, there must be a temple down here right?" It didn't seem to make much sense that a gargantuan statue of some Forcer would exist down here and not have some other evidence of a temple or some other artifact of their existence.

"Possibly." she was thinking about it and the tunnels went throughout the world and went down really deep in some places, with natural cavers that were strong and some places that were huge when she looked. "The underground network is vast and there are tens of thousands of natural caverns they could find as well as just normal construction putting it into the tunnels and room themselves."

"Not much of this has been explored before huh?" the bounty hunter asked as their footsteps echoed off the stone labrinyth's walls. How had the beings who lived here just disappeared? Why didn't they try to expand to the rest of the galaxy just like every other civilization had? Those were just a few of the questions that ran through her mind.

She was looking at her and gave a nod of her head to that. With a small look. "yeah I am not certain of how much exploration there has been. In general the creatures could have possibly been down here but they dind't map it and the locals don't use all of the tunnels." She stayed there for a moment longer with a small look when the sounds changed. She could hear it on the edge of her senses. The sound of waves and tere was the smell of moisture and trees down below. She could see the glow fo the As-Aki that were fluttering around far up ahead.

The carbine clicked as Kat lifted the weapon and aimed at the glowing...things..."Uh....those aren't dangerous right?" the Bounty Hunter asked her eyes attempting to track as many of the flying things ahead of them. As they drew closer, Kat began to realize how small the things actually were. She began to doubt she'd be able to hit too many of them, or at all. Regardless, her carbine remained at the ready, not quite sure of how harmless the things might be.

"No As-Aki are small creatures who are only dangerous if you aren't careful or somehow destroy their homes. Plus they can converse and talk with you." Sentient four inch tall flying beings who came in different colors like twi'lek and used small weapons or had their different wings. It was adorable and she knew a few that had become jedi and even a mandalorian. Junko was leading the way through so they could go up towards pathway and the first hints of moonlight were out there. Three moons made for a very nice bright area.

"Yeah, well lemme know where not to step...I don't wanna accidentally crush they're homes." she said, now looking down, suddenly much more attentive to wear she placed her feet. Her gaze returned back to what was before her as the first rays of moonlight shone on the ground before her, "Outside already?"

A few of the As-Aki flew before the bounty hunter, the moons' light drowning out their own glows. The light reflected off the woman's red hair and shone off it like fire, every move sending ripples through the apparition, giving it an even more lifelike appearance.

Junko noted it and she pointed for Kat as they had a tree growing out of the massive area, the tunnel and the stone had a tree wrapping around and twisting with stone. The glow from more were in there and you could see where they had been constructing small areas for all fo them to be. Here in the moonlight there was not a lot of other things visible. The massive mountains around them leading up through thick trees where she could go. "yeah, hard to tell where on the planet we are... bad thing about this system is the massive nebula that blocks all fo the stars."

The woman gazed up at the twisting knots of tree and stone, all glowing vibrantly with the light of the As-Aki. She almost missed the Princess's comment on how they could never really know where they were, "Yeah, but its always beautiful at night." she murmured as she admired the view before her. The small creatures flitted back and forth in their home, streaks of light that occupied space for only the briefest moment in time.

Well she couldn't deny that as a thing. She was looking at what they had here and what they might be abel to do. With a few more looks though... hmm Junko was looking at what there was and the firtst signs of something on this island were there... Her hand coming up as they could see the massive head of the statue and arms looking outwards. "Well those are some signs we could find." She was wondering about it while walking along the small path of trees. A smaller area that was covered with small red orbs. She picked one up and was looking at it. "Hmm apples."

Kat bent down and picked up one of the apples and held it up to the moonlight to examine it. That was when she noticed the statue..."Feth! What is up with all these blasted statues?!" she cried out in frustration. "Those little flying people definitely make that bosh'tet." she said glaring at the apple. Finally she bit into the sweet fruit, still pouting.

Looking at her as Junko was waiting to see about the apple. She wasn't completely certain if it would be safe and sometimes letting another person try and test it was important. She wasn't going to let harm come, they had medical equipment in her belt she could use for it. "I am not sure, the statues are generally for big things. Junko waited a moment longer and then took a bite with a smile on her face before she was moving to see it with her there. Junko was looking at more as there were small crystal lanterns al around she could take in the sights with. Illuminating the path into more of the island.

Kat shrugged and began to look around, light once again catching her eye, a pathway leading deeper into the island. "This place is something straight out of a holofilm, you know that?" she said to [member="Junko Ike"]. "Should we camp for the night?" she asked. The night was upon them after all...but then again, Kat had no clue how long the days were on this planet.

That was a good idea for what they might be able to do and what they would need to do. She was in agreement though for what she might eb able to do. She wasn't at risk just yet in some cases but she was seeing some of he dangerous prospects of rushing ahead in the dark when she moved into the orchard. "I think that would be best, we should be able to use the mountain and the trees for cover in case of anything on the island."

Kat nodded and approached on of the nearby trees, took her backpack off, set it on the ground, and then sat against the tree, leaning into it, hands still holding her carbine. "I can take the first watch." she said, grabbing another apple, of which many littered the ground around the tree. Underneath the light of the lanterns and moon, it was quite peaceful. One could forget the rest of the galaxy here.
