Floyd Mayferria vs. OS (OS Dominion of Mayferria)

Objective 2: Seek knowledge from Waldstein Academy
Allies: One Sith
Enemies: Nil
[3/20]

As Greta followed the robed man through winding corridors and expansive hallways, she could do nothing but wonder at the possibility of such an elaborate interior that seemed to go on forever. From the outside, one never would have thought that such an interior existed within. It just goes to show how ingenious the architects were, and what a magnificent job they have done indeed.

The walking that seemed to go on forever would eventually come to an end, as the pair stopped behind an thick elaborate door carved in ornate patterns that stretched from floor to ceiling. This place would not cease to amaze her, it seemed as the giant doors would open slightly with a groan, and the robed man ordered her to wait here until he returned, before venturing behind the doors, swallowing the man as it closed shut with a roar, sending its aftershock throughout the surrounding walls.

Greta didn't had to wait for long. If she was to guess, she would put the time around ten minutes. The doors would open once more, as if to regurgitate the man from its interior. He announced "They will see you now. Please enter." The blonde would set a foot forwards before another, entering the enormous doors which led into a massive ornate chamber that resembled a gargantuan library. It was stocked full of tomes of flimsiplast books.

They lined the equally massive shelves that went on and on from the floor to the ceiling. As she wondered about how one would even retrieve items stored on the upper shelves, Greta noticed that that was turbolifts on each side of the walls that would lead to a standing platform just next to the shelves themselves. What a marvel indeed.

Ruby arrived at the LZ she'd been told about. It was honestly just a field of straw and stover, maybe two hundred meters from the command center. Not that she'd be expecting some Starport accommodations for this pick up. So it would have to do. "Well guess I wait then". Ruby stood lone in the waning, still hot sun. Few clouds were around to offer the luxury of shade. The black smoke from burning fires off in the distance blew the wrong direction to offer any either. Sweating wasn't something she needed to worry about; since the bigger picture was unfolding to find her master. It was still a major annoyance. Ditching the cloak would be a good idea, though it did offer to keep the sun's direct gaze away from her eyes, while keeping her age obscured too. When this transport came around she'd want to be wearing it. Thus the decision came to be and nothing changed except she took a sitting position.

A whir came over the other low rumblings near the command center. Higher pitched and coming from the left. Ruby took a peak with one eye around the edge of her hood. It was indeed a transport best she could tell with the knowledge of Sith vehicles. Coming right for her at last. Ruby pulled herself up; brushing clean enough the clinging ground clutter. Closer and closer the ship came, bigger and bigger its size came to be. Once it made a course change to circle around the LZ. For what purpose beyond the girls understanding. Its true size was revealed. "Whoa". Ruby gawked as she took back to her feet. It was like a flying house in size. Massive roaring engines drowned the wind out as it came in for a landing. Ruby was impressed she'd get to fly in this thing. Most would balk since it was the workhorse of the Sith military. Serving transportation needs across every world of the Empire. A fifteen year old girl Forcer traveling alone wasn't most though. Dust, straw and stover were blasted by the jetwash as it touched down on solid earth. Ruby had to shield her eyes from the debris. The noise and wind lessened as the jets cut back to idle. The troop door opened and it was all the sign she needed to board. The flight officer did come out to greet her though.

"TTI-24 to Echo we have arrived at LZ and have confirmed package ready for dust off. Over". The officer let go of his shoulder radio and gave a lazy salute. "Sorry we're late mam. Had to skirt a hotzone. Hop aboard and we'll have you where you need to go in no time". His cocky smile and less than by the book attitude made Ruby feel a whole lot better about everything. If he wasn't scared out of his wits flying around a warzone, she shouldn't be to worries either. Viably anyways.

"I was beginning to think I'd be waiting around until night for you guys. Guess I really wasn't waiting all too long. Lets gets going"! Ruby hopped aboard. Once she was seated and buckled in, which weren't hard to figure out. Also with a brain bucket fitted with comm gear given so they could talk over the noise. The transport launched off into the sky. Light as a feather it seemed. It would not be long she hoped to where Ferus was. In fact she needed to ask how long this trip was going to be. He could be on the other side of the planet for all she knew.

Darth Timoris

To err is human, to forgive divine. And I'm no god
[Post = 14/20]

Location: In the arena
Objective: 4. Maiden’s Blade
Allies: None
Enemies: Some Zabrak or another…(they can look similar you know)

Shouting with pain, the Dark Jedi leaned forward into the lightning – teeth bare, blades held before her – and staggered toward Melori. Despite her burns, she came onward. One step, another, another, but she was failing, wilting in the heat of the Lightning. Melori channelled more power and the Dark Jedi fell to her knees, screaming. The lightning spiralled around the Zabrak, blasting dark holes in her body.

The lightsabers fell from her hands and she writhed in agony, screaming her pain into the hushed arena.

Darth Timoris ended her attack. The Dark Jedi, ruined, fell to the ground and rolled over onto her back. Her breathing sounded worse than Melori's.

The Sith strode to her side and stood over her.

“I admire your strength of character. On any other day we could have been allies...just not today.” She plunged her saber into the Zabrak’s chest, cauterising a hole where her heart so recently was.

Melori looked up at the crowd. “Is that the best you’ve got,” she called – her arrogance resurfacing. But she didn’t care. She may be beaten and battered – but she was enjoying herself.

Having successfully sent the woman's head momentarily reeling, he released his hold on the lightsaber. Stupid move, he thought as he did so, because the lightsaber had damn near burned clear through his armor. A single blow on the under side of his arm or the correlating connection on his chest would damage him well.

Spinning his body around, he sought to bring a leg up into a roundhouse kick. Regardless of if the blow was successful, when it touched dirt he would use it as a focal point to switch to his other leg, allowing his momentum to bring it into a second kick. Both sought to cripple the head further, as the pain seemed high for her.

"Well done, Apprentice," praised Sage as he studied the splayed bodies left in Animus' wake. "You have just gotten a taste of the basics of Sith Illusions. I urge you to practice on your own at the Temple or else ware. In time, when you have mastered the mind forms, you will be able to make entire infantries flee in terror."

As the group descended into the mines, the droids first worked on looting the mining carts of freshly mined Netharanium. Sage gripped the hilt of his lightsaber and weighed it in his palm.

"Your Juyo was impressive against the guards, Animus. Let's see how you do with practicing some Ataru. It's a very aggressive form, but lacks a bit in defense. It's not the right form for every situation, so you'll have to use your judgement when you practice it."

As the droids continued their plundering, Sage stopped and faced his apprentice. He ignited his red blade with a snap hiss, and with fluid grace, took on the opening stance of Ataru. His right leg was straight and left leg bent in a lunge, saber held parallel to his outstretched arm, almost pointing at his opponent. With one brow arched, Sage gave Animus a wicked grin.

"You'll learn by fighting me. Now attack."

Animus nodded at the Master, Already he had the instinct of warfare but the power of another style to add.
He met [member="Sage Bane"] gaze with a smile of accordance bowing in the manner of duelists. " As you wish master" Quickly Animus shot up, a single hand slung long thrusts, then bending his knees and imposing his attack matching the stance of his new teacher. He enjoyed training with the Sage, he felt like they were two souls of the same kind in a way, both eager to meet the fray of battle Animus used the Masters eagerness to battle with his Juyo, feeding of his aggression and dark side and seeing the Opening. "I will not hold back!" And he ment it, as he Had with [member="Darth Ferus"] Animus tested his masters, if they would not best him, they were unworthy to teach him.

Animus worried about the fact that maybe the destruction of the clash of their blades would destroy the very fibre of this place, he worried not, death would come to all who Opposed them, and Power would come to Animus as he trained as best and with his full passion against The Lord of Thorns himself.

Ataru wasn't the best form for closed-in spaces, but luckily the interior of the Netharanium mine was fairly open, and let the warriors lots of room to move. Sage defended against the ferocious strikes with djem so, drawing Animus into a blade lock. As their lightsabers sparked against each other, he smiled wickedly.

"For defense I would supplement djem so as Ataru's biggest weakness is defense."

Sage cartwheeled away from Animus and spoke again.

"Call upon the Force to speed up your muscles. Use it to barrage your opponent with a flurry of strikes. That is the way of the Hawkbat."

Here, Sage demonstrated as he launched into a whirlwind of an assault, his red blade fluttering like bat wings, aiming for his opponent's thighs.

Animus was hard pressed to defend against this maneuver except by Copying it, using the move (a lot clumsier) but which each swing came a bit more precision and aggression. Ataru sounded alot like Juyo to Animus, the idea of it to revolve around aggression was something he could grasp. Another thing [member="Sage Bane"] had told him was to use the Force to augment his movements and this seemed a lot like force jump, but aimed towards his body arms, legs and very movement in Battle.

Animus eyes glared as if in an Epiphany and His grin turned to laughter once he realized that it all came together, The Force would help him fight. He used the force to Dash and concentrated it on his limbs and body, augmenting his speed to match the already naturally faster and more precise opponent. The attacks of the Sage were graceful, but powerful, each carrying momentum and strength behind them and Animus took this into perspective adding the Force to match the Strength of his blows. Rolling to duck one of the faster slices of the Sage he returned the same in kind this time adding to the speed of the movement and a cartwheel like he had seen the Sage do. "It's somewhat like Juyo Master Bane!" Animus said after finishing the rotation. "i fear so much aggression with no defense will leave me like a sitting duck" laughing as he again as he returned to the way of the Hawk bat.

Every Force philosophy had their own method of utilizing the Force to suppress it. The Force worked in mysterious ways. His time with the Keetael and the Witches proved that. Some did spells. Some wouldn't even speak words. Others would study tomes or even manipulate the very properties of matter through alchemy by crafting objects that would do the same thing. There was no doubting that to craft such an item would take great concentration and certainly a mastercraft skill.

But it would be a masterpiece that he could be proud of to have crafted with his own hands. He could make it an amulet. Or perhaps some form of talisman? No... perhaps Force cuffs? He did have a pair of AEL's terentaktek cuffs that he could take the concept of and use as binders that could give the illusion he had cut them off the Force. It was a lot to consider, but he was excited none the less.

The transport hauled through the sky like it was being chased. The pilot was clearly a hotshot maverick with a desperate need for speed. Ruby had no problem with that just so long as he didn't crash them into the side of a mountain. A fiery death wasn't something she had in mind today. More speed though meant she got to the village faster. "How much longer"? The officer she'd been talking to earlier looked over to her. Muttering something into his helmet comm she couldn't hear. Guess he switched channels or whatever. Given a few minutes she could figure out how to switch over to his but she wouldn't have such time. He raised a hand, five fingers splayed to indicate what was left in the trip. Ruby grinned. She was so close now. The look on his face as she strolls up in a place like this to see him again. It would be priceless.

The transport landed down a few miles from the village. They kept low behind a string of hills on the approach to avoid attracting attention or rousing any trouble. Ruby jumped down from the ship to the soil. Solid earth was a nice feeling after that experience. The ship took off in a cloud of dust. They wouldn't be back until she radioed in. They were nice enough to giver her one for such a purpose. Not questioning why someone who seemed so important were lacking in the necessary tool in a war zone. Another close shave to her cover but she didn't need it anymore. Krest was near, she knew it.

Lilin managed not to get hit with the first roundhouse kick, even though she couldn't quite step out of the way of the second one. The pain in her head made everything seem a little bit foggier and confusing, as well as making her a little bit dizzy. She was tired of the battle, even though at the same time something inside wanted to keep her going.

She had to fight.

She had to be strong.

And that's what she decided to do. She managed to move slightly so that the second kick wouldn't hit her in the most critical point and would instead land on her arm. The pain was greater than she had imagined it to be and that made her left arm feel slightly numb. So there was no use of that for a short while.

So she moved a little bit backwards and then burst into a run. She wouldn't run away from the battle - definitely not - but she tried to make the opponent a little bit confused.

It seemed to be one of her most used techniques...

Nerius could only stop, and stare. This was the first time a battle had ended like so. He heard stories of people running in fear, screaming at the top of their lungs as they panicked...but she didn't fit the description!

So then why was she fleeing? His mind could not comprehend it. He was simply to new to anything other than battle or training. That was the thing also, this was definitely no tactic he knew for combat as well...

WHAT IN THE BLASTED HELL WAS SHE DOING?!

The girl continued running away from the man for a few more metres before she would suddenly stop. Was she far enough? There was no way of telling as she did not want to turn around and look. She could only hope the man was far enough so that he wouldn't just jump into her back out of nowhere.

Sigh.

What would she do now? Had she even thought of what to do after stopping? Had she lost her mind when she had not thought anything through at all? Only then did she realize she was practically damned now -- she'd brought near her own death. She had to do something to fix that. She had to come up with a plan now.

Better late than never, right?

So she turned around and walked right at the man. The fight had to continue, no matter what. She had enough energy left in her, she only had to believe in herself.

"Huh, I thought you would try to catch me?"

With the ore safely in his ship, Micah went about going through ensuring it was secure. He tossed a few credits to the Browncoat Industrial miners, thanking them for their help. He was covered in grime, having had to help out with the mining himself, but there was a sense of accomplishment to it. Up the ramp of Kalee's Shadow he went, hitting the console that would start the hydraulics to raise it up behind him.

Lips would bow together, and a jaunty tune would whistle through the cargohold. He had much to do. Perhaps he could go back to the forge at the hideout; he had built one himself for use between him and his friends. There was much he could do, it was just a matter of sticking to one particular idea.

Force suppression... maybe it would be a good thing to study a Ysalamir too, to ensure he would give the same level of sensation of being cut off from the Force with the mindtrick.

A nod came next.

Yep. A trip to Myrkr was next.

Rylan was late. Extremely late. Unlike seemingly everybody else, the boy had arrived a whole lot after the dominion began. But that was, he would probably still be useful. Perhaps being late wasn't so bad after all? Y'know, maybe if he'd arrived with the first Sith, he'd been in too much hassle. Now that the initial surprise of the One Sith trying to take over the planet of Mayferria was gone, he could have some real adventures.

Yet the point was, he had no idea what to do.

Being a Sith was a new experience to the boy and he had no clue what others were doing. He had to guess that they were giving their best to make the people lose control over their planet so that the faction could annex it. But... what could he do? Would robbing a bank do the deal? Would they not like him for that?

He couldn't tell.

His breathing was too shallow, his steps too fast. But he had to come up with something to do. There was no time to just sit around and wait.

Animus not only parried his blows, but ducked and cartwheeled away from his strikes, benefiting from his training in Juyo. The apprentice was a devil with his blade, and pretty soon Sage stopped to catch his breath. Ataru was rigorous form, and while he enjoyed the practice, the Sith Lord did not have the lungs to continue for too much longer. Sorcery, illusions, and mentalism were his forte. Against a more experienced bladesman, Sage did not stand a chance.

Between great gasps of air, he continued to advise Animus on his tactics. "Ataru presumes that its practitioner does not need much of a defense. The idea is that you so greatly overwhelm the opponent with the form, that you bar your foe from even launching a counter-offensive."

He chuckled darkly. "That is a dangerous presumption to make. What I advise students to do is to supplement the form's defensive weakness with another form, perhaps Makashi or Djem So."

Taking the Ataru opening stance once again, his red blade pointing at his opponent, Sage beckoned with his hand.

"Again, Apprentice."

Animus listened intently to the words of Sage with more than just passing interest. To greatly overwhelm your opponent Animus thought.
He bowed in the manner of the Duelist to his master as he was eager to continue this lesson. "Yes master, as you wish"

This time Animus would summersault igniting his saber in the air, the move would do Two vertical slices, upon falling down he would swipe as the Way of the Hawkbat using a bit of Brute force to give his moves extra power and momentum. The aggression and mentality of Juyo was something near impossible to shake off, it was more than just a fighting style, it was a way of life.

Animus mixed some Juyo, But Ataru Took over his form once he began his Hawkbat swipes. Power, Force and Brutality took him over as Animus fought Sage to the extent of his abilities.

Ysalamiri had a natural method of force suppression. Or was it really Force Null? He had already begun to do his research, using the holo archives of his father, formally known as Neth the Keeper. He had collected a wealth of information during his travels, more so once he and his aunt and uncle created the Moross Crusade. As the God of Knowledge, there was a collection of data that normally wouldn't be available to the ordinary citizen.

In it, it would detail about the Ysalamiri, their biology and how they would affect Force Users. There were even excerpts that really made Micah want to experiment. Supposedly, Grandmaster Luke had done several tests where he would attempt to use the Force even in Ysalamiri fields. To what extent he was successful, Micah didn't know. He was no Luke Skywalker.

But he was Talith.

Vrag

The Second Seal, broken.
Vrag, having recently discovered the beauty of delegation, had decided not to attend this particular bloodshed in person, sending in one of her well-trained Twelve to take out the trash in her stead. They were, after all, highly capable individuals chosen explicitly because of their broad skillsets and the capability to operate both independently and in conjunction with others.

In a display of such beautiful teamwork, P-7 and P-8, arguably the smoothest slaying couple out there, were sent to pay a visit to the peoples of Mayferria.

Some good ole intimidation and fear tactics — could never go wrong with those — and the pair of [REDACTED] would surely brand themselves into the minds of the Sith subjects for all eternity. The city of Joto, not quite knowing what had hit it, was already under assault from all sides, its streets overflowing with troops and warmachines as the under-prepared Mayferrians bowed their heads one by one.

The Hands of the Dark Lord reached ever further across the expanse of the universe, adding new planets under his purview with each journey out into the darkness of space, and with each world brought to heel, the One Sith grew and prospered, drawing in new resources and people to support the perennial war-effort.

One had to wonder what would come to pass if the Dark Lord ever held the whole Galaxy in his grasp, but such musings were reserved for long nights with a tumbler of whiskey in one hand and a cigarra in the other.

Slayers, however? Oh, P-7 and P-8 entertained no such thoughts as they sowed fear into the hearts of men, working in beautiful, if horrifying tandem.
