Dreidi shook Faith's hand and introduced herself.

"Oh! Oh my. Padawan and, Witch Initiate? Fascinating. Love it!"

Faith wasn't quite sure what that meant but? ...Probably cool? Sounded cool? Right. Sure.

Voshal quickly glossed over the fact that Xeraic totally missed the connection between Cameron's wink and her own very blushing cheeks. This wasn't entirely uncommon amongst mingled-species workplaces. Lots of aliens miss the dating ques and romantic gestures of other species. Surprisingly normal really. If, a bit strange that Dreidi also seemed... Mostly human. Shouldn't she have at least suspected? Something? Hm. Erm. Nevermind.

Faith chose to ignore it to her own benefit. After all. Why be embarrassed if theirs nothing to be embarrassed about? Right.

She continued unabated, "Wonderful to meet you! Are you not going down to the city for the party? Everybody's going."

Well.

Mostly everybody.

Probably. :p

Such is Life Day...
CLOSED WITH Samuel Exel

“If you’re that unexposed to a friendly offer, then it’ll be a long day. Unless your opinion of me is simply that low.”

Dominik was turned away but he grimaced at that. "Been a while since I've told a joke. Wasn't very good at them even before. Sorry." He was able to apologize, but he wasn't the type to go into lengthy detail about what he had meant. He finished putting the blaster away. He would put it back where he had found it, in the 'secure' storage locker the range had.

“...Your woman? Does that mean,” Samuel would glance over his shoulder as he exited the range, “You two are finally official, now?” . “If that’s the case, that’s another stroke of luck; it’s part of the reason I asked you to accompany me.”
Dominik followed him, making sure he was bundled up in his coat, hat and gloves. "We're... close enough to tell people about it." He nodded. "She's with her parents right now. Didn't want to tell them just yet, I guess." And as Sam lead him along Dominik knew exactly what Sam was talking about. "You want to go shopping. For our women." Dominik had never been a shopper. Did he know how to shop for guns or explosives or intel? Sure. But stuff his lady would like? He scratched his head.

Well she wasn't opposed to dangerous things, she made dangerous things in her factory all the time. But she wasn't the type to use them much. And anything she wanted of that kind she could just make. However, she did like to dress up. Dresses, heels, lipstick... all stuff she could also make. But maybe he could get her something that he liked? Was that selfish? Or would she appreciate it even though she could easily order it up? And what kind of stuff did this mall even have? He glanced at Sam. "I don't know what this place has but..." He looked towards the shops. "Time to gather intel."

"Yea... I hear that too" Silas replied, his eyes darting to the roof to see a padawan jumping down onto the snowy bank below. Silas narrowed his eyes and walked over, looking up at the kids with an unamused expression

"Get down from there, you don't want to end the holiday in tears do you?" Silas said sternly with a fold of his arms. The silence he offered told the story of his warning, one showed that he wasn't messing around by any means.

"We don't want you to be sucking soup from a straw for the rest of your training do we?"

Lyrrin squinted as he felt the impact of Valery's age-related aggression to the back of his head, although his smirked was still present "Touchy!" he had been looking forward to meeting this Vera character for quite sometime and when he looked passed her mother to the spawn itself his smirk turned into an ear-to-ear smile as Valery's daughter attempted to assassinate the Chancellor "Ha! Hahaha!" Lyrrin began to laugh hysterically while motioning towards Auteme and her entourage. The Farghul cupped his hands around his mouth and called to Vera "Runnn!" this was the best possible introduction Lyrrin had ever been apart of. Now the Chancellor herself would have the pleasure of meeting Vera.

How could he, Lyrrin, aid in Vera's escape or capture? That was the question in the agent's mind. These were pivotal descions! Would Valery's blood pressure be higher if Lyrrin helped capture Vera or would attempting to conceal the fugitives be the play?

After a moment Lyrrin had noticed some other people starting to approach, namely Starlin Rand Starlin Rand ,

"Lyrrin!" Valery yelled as he began to laugh his ass off, rather than help her go after Vera, who had just thrown a huge snowball at the chancellor. It wasn't the end of the world and kids often were up to these kinds of things, but she had also used the Force to do it, and she still had to be told that a line was crossed.

But her focus on Lyrrin also meant that the little Noble had already disappeared into the crowd with BB-610 BB-610 , so she quickly spun on her feet and began to rush after them... only to slide to a very quick halt when she noticed Aldric Laurent standing not too far away. Had he seen what just happened? Her cheeks turns bright red and she shot him an embarrassed smile.

Oh no, not now-

Splash.

Valery's head bounced forward as a snowball hit the back of her head, and for just a second, she believed it to be Vera sniping her as well. But when she turned around, she noticed that Starlin Rand Starlin Rand had been the one throwing it at her. She shot him a death glare but rather than doing something about it, she let out a defeated sigh. <Bee,> Valery said as she raised her comm unit up to her lips. <Please stay with Vera and bring her back. It's fine, I'm not angry,> she said, too exhausted to chase after her little star.

Instead, she drew in a deep breath and decided to confront something she had put off for too long now.

"Heyyy..." she said with a slightly awkward smile, as she walked over to Aldric. Her coat was still covered in snow and her neck was getting awfully cold, but she ignored it and looked up at him. "It's uh, been a while. You doing alright?" she asked carefully, but without the awful tension, she had in her when they decided to spend time apart. There was something much softer to hear features again.

Please tell me you didn't see what just happened.

Meanwhile, Vera had managed to get pretty far together with BB-610 BB-610 and when she realized her mother was no longer chasing after her, she stopped and turned around. She fully expected others to try and catch her too, but she wasn't a Noble if she'd be easily caught for being a menace.

"Hey Bee, I don't see mom anymore," she began as she looked around. "Where do we go?"

At the sight of the jumpers, Thelma pressed her hands to her cheeks. "Oh no! You shouldn't do that, you could get hurt!"

"We don't want you to be sucking soup from a straw for the rest of your training do we?"

Silas' warning was much sterner, but Thelma remained worried. "If they do jump, we'll have to catch them," she said.

"Heyyy..."

So much for getting away unseen. Aldric spun around slowly to face her, and offered a similar, slightly awkward smile, "…Heyyy," Despite some of the weirdness, it was good to see her again. And her apparent lack go tension made it a little easier for him to ease up as well. Better to see her than Vera, he figured. Aldric had no idea what explanation Val offered her daughter for his disappearance, but he could only assume running into her would make for an uncomfortable encounter no matter what.

"I'm… alright. Yeah," Aldric affirmed, even managing a single, stifled chuckle, "I uh, figured I'd avoid doing the whole recluse shtick a second time," Not while there was still a reason to be sticking around on Coruscant, at least. There weren't a lot of places here to be alone without going stir-crazy. He looked her up and down, then nodded in the direction of the little event that had just unfolded "How about uh- How are you? Other than cold, I'm guessing." Given the snowball she just took to the head.

She was already relieved that he didn't just turn around and walk away.

So when he looked at her and met her with a smile in return, no matter how awkward it was, Valery felt a tremor go through her body. She let out a soft breath that condensed into a mist in front of her lips, and she began to warm up to standing here with him, rather than feeling nervous about it.

"I'm glad you're getting out and... it's good to see you again," she said, her smile growing a little brighter again. But now that she was over the anxiety of approaching him, she began to really feel the lingering effects of Starlin's snowball, as the ice-cold water soaked the shirt she was wearing underneath her coat. "Honestly? I'm... feeling really cold right now," she answered with a soft chuckle of her own and a little bit of a shuffling of her feet.

Luckily nobody saw her being awkward and blushy. Right?

"But I'm doing alright. Much better than when... you know." She smiled sheepishly and pulled on her coat a little. "So uh, I was wondering...." she trailed off, hoping to find her usual courage again. "Do you maybe want to grab dinner sometime? Or lunch or something? Just us two." She looked hopeful and felt it was important they had a chance to talk again. Hopefully, he felt the same way.

<We'll figure it out,> is the last thing he said regarding the names because he was too anxious to find out what she'd think about the gift he had prepared. It had taken a lot of effort to get the crystal, especially without her knowing that he was after one, but that didn't mean she'd have to like it. So as he opened the box, he leaned forward, studied her expression intently, and... she loved it.

Kyell began to smile and leaned into the kiss against his cheek before he placed a hand on her knee and waited for her to put it around her neck. It was undoubtedly going to take her a moment to get adjusted to enhanced senses, so he remained quiet and gave her the time she needed for it. This was important to her and he wanted her to enjoy the moment so she could cherish it forever.

She'd be able to feel their first child.

So with her eyes closed, Miri focused on the feeling of the Force presence inside of her — the one Kyell could only faintly feel himself because his senses weren't exactly too refined either. His head tilted out of curiosity and very abruptly, he watched Miri's eyes open, which startled him just a little.

<Wait—there's two of them?!>

For just a few seconds, he stared at her like a fool, as he tried to process what she just said. But when it clicked, his eyes slowly widened and he stared down at her stomach. <We're... having twins?> he asked with a widening grin. <Oh chit, we're having twins!> he confirmed to himself before shifting forward to pull Miri into a tight embrace.

<This is amazing... except now we gotta come up with two names,> he joked with a smirk when he pulled back from the hug again.

The sprint to the crowd was a perilous one, trailing hastily behind Vera. A snowball fight seemed to have broken out, with children and adults alike participating in all out turf war. Why anybody would find pleasure in pelting people with snow, BB-610 had no idea, and it was likely an organic custom with an acquired taste. Weaving and dodging, ball after ball splattered across the ground, spilling nearby as the droid halted his movements to narrowly avoid getting plastered by one, swiftly rolling around it with a series of alarms blaring, detecting far too much danger for the skittish astromech's liking.

Thankfully, their escape had been a success, disappearing into a crowd with relative ease as a result of their short sizes. Breathing a
metallic sigh of relief, it's of course only BB-610's luck that his comms are opened, antennae instinctively rising and lowering as to strengthen their signal, and the rather exhausted sound of Valery Noble Valery Noble 's voice made his servos freeze. The droid, feeling crushed under a sudden blanket of guilt and shame for not having steered Vera away from trouble, slowly peered his gaze over to the young girl in question. A few seconds of silence, and BB-610 finally gained the courage to reply back to the Jedi with an affirmative string of beeps over their comms, before inching closer to Vera.

Darting his head back and forth between Vera and the spot they'd just run from, the droid trembled. He couldn't risk disappointing Valery, but returning her daughter meant travelling back the way they came and, more importantly, exposing him to the dangers of those terrifying snowballs once more. Weighing his options, and running them through his systems for a probability diagnosis one too many times (because, honestly, he was absolutely stalling at this point), BB-610 finally opted to bite the bullet and reply to Vera's question with some panicky tweeps and chirps, frantically telling her that her mom needed her back and that it was his duty to return her.

Circling her a few times and gesturing to follow him with the pointing of his head, BB-610's utility arm very briefly grabbed a gentle hold of Vera's wrist to guide her forward, before retracting it and insisting she stay behind him. With a deep, robotic breath, BB-610 backtracked, rolling forth and periodically checking to see if Vera was still following him. Unsurprisingly, a myriad of snowballs were thrown their way, with the droid either pulling or pushing Vera out of their trajectory in the nick of time, swerving as best he could. There were several times he was thankful that he wasn't created an R-series astromech, but with how quickly the BB-unit can turn and drive at a moment's notice, today meant he was especially thankful.

Working on overtime, rolling hurriedly through the battlefield, the pair of them successfully managed it back to the main plaza, and without a single snowball hitting them to boot. Chassis utterly glazed in frost, BB-610 slumped his head against Vera's shoulder, servos warm despite the cold of his shell, as the astromech basked in the relief of having completed his main directive.

Of course, that now meant the duo were in plain view of not only Valery, but Auteme Auteme and everybody else as well, and awfully exposed. It's not like BB-610 took notice, though, as if he had a heart, it would currently be racing like that of rodent being cornered by its predator.

Kyell quickly swept Miri into a hug, taking the news in stride. She was still trying to recover from the shock of it all. Twins. Twins? Seriously?!

Kyell she understood, but why hadn't anybody else sensed... Starlin. Starlin must've known, but he hadn't said anything to them about it. Oho, well, now he was going to get an earful from her...

<This is amazing... except now we gotta come up with two names.>

Miri sighed. <Boys, Zayne and Kyell Jr. Girls, Kyla and Lyra. Or Lara. Or Lana. Or Lyssa.> Clearly she really liked L names.

"Honestly? I'm... feeling really cold right now,"

Aldric chuckled again, "Yeah. You've got a little…" He gestured to the snow still clinging to her, "Something there." So far so good. They were both mature adults, no need to act like anything going on was awkward. Even if the events that led to this point were a bit awkward. But time had given things a chance to simmer down and let cooler heads prevail. It was hard to say whether it was the right call or not, but clearly it hadn't broken everything to pieces. Pretty good sign.

"But I'm doing alright. Much better than when... you know."

"I know," He said, rubbing the nape of his neck. What surprised him more was her follow-up. Aldric blinked, and exhaled, "…Sure. Yeah…. I'd like that." A fresh start, perhaps. He broke into a faint smile at the thought. After a few moments passed, his expression faltered slightly, "How's uh… How's Vera?"

That marine must be really drunk if she's mistaking a Torguta for a Twi'lek.

"Can't wait for this Twi'lek to show up. They're always good for a party."

A blush crept up Teshi's neck, a bit of the cockiness fading away. How many deep was she? Time flew when you were having fun. Graditude welled for Osarla taking the mistkae in good fun, but if she remembered it come tomorrow...

"Alright, fly boy, you're havin' what I'm havin'."

The moment away from the table allowed her to collect herself. The bartender gave her a once over upon her arrival, but clearly decided her innebreation was clearly at acceptable levels. He went about collecting the order, and Teshi took a deep breath. The joke had an ounce of truth in it - she had thought herself destined to spend lifeday with a pack of instant noodles and the bottle for company, rather than the crowd she was with. Nevertheless, mild endearment was beginning to form. On her return with full arms, the major adminstered the spirits, always the bad influence.

"Alright, enough of the nicities, let's get into the meat of it then."
A long pull from the frosty mug allowed suspense. "Worst holiday spent at arms. I'll go first. Unity Day, three years back. We were holed up in a little hunk of junk that could barely be called a ship. Some rookie engineer had a thing for demolition - naturally he was distraught about missing the blaze over Galactic City. The boy thought he could rig 'is own setup... but he knew the CO would shut it down if he caught wind, so he decided the toilets were a good place to hide his handiwork. Sure knew a lot about blowing things up, but the drink failed his senses. Didn't think much about the repercussions of combustion in that particular area. When I say he blew the roof off that toilet... Whole thing smelled like a hutts arse."

The first kid to have jump lost his spine at the sight of Silas. Nervous stammering fumbled from his mouth as he suddenly appeared a kid with his hand stuck in the cookie jar. His co-conspirators, however, were still on top of the world - or the temple, at least.

"Hey, don't talk to me like I'm a baby!" The clear leader of the group barked. "I'm like, twelve, plus a padawan now! I can make my own decisions!"

Mutters of agreeance surrounded him, emboldening the youth further.

"Plus, weren't you big kids told to go look for the saint? Supposed to save life day or something?" A cocky grin took to his lips. "I know where he is, so you better be a lot nicer if you're trying to find him."

OPEN!

Alicio was about to respond to Desric, something no doubt acidic towards Denon's state of affairs, when a series of guerilla snowball attacks happened all at once. Vera's throw had only been the first, a snowball heard around the world.

His shocked expression quickly turned into a knowing grin, watching Vera disappear into the crowd, a circular droid in tow. Knowing the little fireball's disposition to watery violence, Alicio wasn't surprised in the slightest.

“Does that… count as an attempt on the Chancellor's life?”

"That would make Vera the most adorable war criminal in the history of the Alliance," he returned, chuckling a little, before returning his attention to Desric. Just in time to see an over-zealous security officer bravely take a snowball for their charge. Alicio blinked once, surprised, before laughing out loud, and tracing the disturbance back to a group of three; One he knew well, one he vaguely recognized, and one was new to him.

"Not... sure." The Count returned to his fellow senator, watching as the man identified as Starlin picked up another snowball... And threw it at his love. "Amani!" he shouted out heroically, unhelpfully.

Whether the snowball connected or not, Alicio waited a beat, then looked between Desric and Amani, a mischeivous glint in his eye, as he was already packing a snowball.

"I know revenge isn't the Jedi way. Buuuut..."

"Hey, don't talk to me like I'm a baby! I'm like, twelve, plus a padawan now! I can make my own decisions!"

"Padawans..." muttered one of the younglings behind Thelma and Silas, shaking their head in disgust.

"Is that Maran Maran up there?" Thelma asked, squinting at the rooftop. It sure sounded like the notoriously prideful Padawan...

The mysterious Paddy claimed to know where Saint Varobalder was. Immediately Thelma perked up. "But we are being nice!" she said. "We're telling you to get down from there so you won't get hurt!"

But they probably weren't listening. Thelma decided to try a different approach. "If you jump, we'll make sure you don't get hurt, okay? Just make it quick."

Valery Noble Valery Noble BB-610 BB-610 Dominique Vexx Dominique Vexx @all you other goobers who APPARENTLY care about my reaction (ily)

Auteme sensed the intent -- not lethal, but nonetheless towards her. Then she saw it -- large snowball, small child. Then she stood up -- an understandable reaction, to avoid an attack.

Then, she thought, no, that's not very funny, and sat back down.

The snowball was certainly too large for a child to throw, and might even be a touch dangerous. Auteme guided it telekinetically to make sure it landed exactly where she wanted it -- right on top of her head. Instead of exploding on impact, however, it stayed together, falling onto her head with a satisfying plunk. Now that she had the head of a snowman, it was only right that she played the part properly.

A Senator -- Vexx -- appeared nearby, and Auteme turned her snowy head to face her. She gave a thumbs up and gestured "you too" before gesturing that she needed to go.

She quickly signalled with her hands to her guards that she was fine. Next, she made a flourish with her hands; strands of ethereal Force sprung out, wrapping her up in a massive white ball. From her front popped an orange carrot nose and a toothy stone smile, button eyes over her own, and a top hat to round the look out. Then, with all the grace a giant bowling ball could muster, she rolled forwards after the fleeing child.

Her path tore chaos through the growing snowball fight, blocking and forcing people out of the way, but swerving harmlessly away from those who didn't move in time. In time, the girl and her accompanying droid began to return, only for the giant ball to leap up over them.

Auteme clapped her hands inside the ball, which burst into a new flurry of snow. She dropped right next to the girl, cackling with glee, and in one swift motion scooped her up and onto her shoulders.

"You've got excellent aim," she said, grinning. "What's your name? And you, too, little friend." She looked down at the BB unit and smiled.

Valery blinked and began to shake out her coat a little to get some of the snow out, but the damage had already been done. She was shivering and shuffling on her feet in an attempt to stay warm, but despite that physical cold, she still looked at Aldric with a smile much warmer than any she had shown since Dantooine. Him accepting the offer to go out together again only brightened her mood up even more.

"Really?" She asked, her tone revealing her surprise a little too much, so she looked a tad embarrassed for a few seconds before pushing through. "I look forward to it. I was thinking about going out but...maybe a life day dinner at my place is better? I'm going to be cooking a lot, I have everything decorated and Vera will be there too." She hoped he didn't think it would be too soon, but inviting him over to be together on life day felt like a step that could really make a difference to her. Spending life day alone was something she hoped to avoid for both of them.

The offer she made was also a good transition into discussing Vera, who he asked about rather quickly, "She's doing great. I...didn't tell her anything to upset her. She believes it was just a temporary thing so she'd be really happy to see you again." She knew it had been a risk because if things didn't turn out alright, Vera would get very upset with her. But perhaps it just showed that Valery wasn't willing to give up on it at all.

"She has been asking about you, so maybe she can come say hi soon as well." If she was done terrorizing the senate plaze, of course.

"Okay, I'll stay close," Vera told Bee after he made the decision to start heading back towards Valery. As fun as it was to cause some trouble and run away, Vera actually didn't like losing sight of her mother in public places like this, especially not when so many people were around her.

Ever since the assassination attempts, she felt afraid without the protection of someone she really knows well and trusts. Bee was definitely someone she trusted, but she didn't want to put her little buddy up against a group of armed mercenaries either.

So as they headed back, she stayed focused on remaining close, and only moved whenever Bee nudged her out of the way of an incoming snowball. She wanted to throw some back to show them so badly, but this time she listened...until a snowman jumped over her and exploded in the air to shower her in snow.

"Look Bee!" She exclaimed while her multi-colored eyes widened. Woah.

The woman who appeared, however, looked awfully familiar and when she realized it had been her earlier target, the idea of running sparked in her mind again. But before she could move at all, Auteme scooped her up and put her on her shoulders. "I'm Vera!" She called out. "Uhm, Vera...Noble," she added with a big nod before she glanced down at Bee and waves at her little friend.

"I saw you on the holo," she then told Auteme, who looked even more familiar up-close.

Nodding her head, Dreidi smiled warmly, "yeah. Force wasn't enough. Had to go ahead and learn how to conjure Magick as well." Chuckling softly as she enjoyed talking about her path, goals and all things Force and combat related. It was the nerdy stuff that she really gravitated towards and the knowledge helpful stuck in her mind and allowed her to improvise and learn quickly. She was already mastering techniques that few her age or rank could develop to the same level. There were also consequences, a lot of overconfidence and a lot of failures before she would be truly excellent in her field.

Faith mentioned that there was a party going on and wondering if Dreidi was going to it. "I'm not super into the festive stuff. I just enjoy looking from afar before getting back into my studies." She shrugged as she thought nothing more on the Cameron/Faith situation since Faith decided not to answer her questions.

"But I am sure that you will have a great time if you are going. Heard plenty about it from friends and such." Dreidi mentioned with a smile.
