Okay guys, in the interest of transparency I will now tell you all that happened with the invasion of Carida.
Basically, its quite simple. We PM'd the launch of the invasion to Republic head admins, all we wanted was a simple, no holds fight like Coruscant. One that had no big additional rules and went off without a hitch. The Republic Admins did not want a repeat of this, feeling that The Republic has an inherent disadvantage in this type of thread, which we of course thought was silly. Neither side then proceeded to budge at all on the topic of Objectives. We both gave on fleeting, ultimately decided upon a limit for fleet sizes and the like(Though i'm not sure if there will be fleeting anymore).
Unfortunately despite these small give and takes neither we nor the Republic admins were willing to give on the biggest factor which was a PVP invasion VS an Objective based one. Eventually it all sort of degraded and turned into a debate on the merits of who has the right to dictate terms in an invasion.
After no agreement could be reached Staff stepped in and doled out a decision, asking us to finalize objectives for this invasion on the terms that the next invasion(Which will likely be a counter-attack on Coruscant by the Republic) will be PVP. I then asked The Republic Admins to state a list of objectives they would be comfortable with before we posted another argument as to
why we thought the ruling was inherently unfair towards not only the One Sith but any future invasion starters.
The Republic admins then decided it would simply be best for the RPJ's to hand us terms, not wanting to argue further of course we agreed and are now waiting on the RPJ's to decide objectives for the invasion of Carida.
I am sure they will be as fair as they can possibly be in this situation and the RP will be at least somewhat fun
