Invasion of Wayland OOC Discussion

Be honest I think there has been some tit for tat in our duel, Perla and Jem. As much as you see my partner Conner as "GMing" he is actually indeed trying to avoid being insta killed by huge trees and boulders. Now for the actual post in question, his defence against the Zombies is sound for both Strider and Conner are side by side and the force negating bubble would of been doubled rending said Force zombies from being effective. This would have happened no matter what, in his post or in mine.

Now, I honestly believe that you two are OPing your current force abilities to your ranks. I have no doubt that you can wipe out jungles, create sinkholes and reanimate the dead. That I am not doubting. What I have an issue is how easily two knight level FUs can perform such draining tasks that should take some effort at concentration. I will also have to admit, I am kinda a Force dummy. I have rped NFUs for like ever and no where near and expert at this topic. I am more the willing to be edjumacated on the subject. My only marker for this is Grandmaster Yoda who actually had to heavily concentrate on removing a X-wing stuck in a puddle.

I have talked to you both on Skype, I have respect for you two lovely ladies and I honestly think that things are getting heated because both sides are in it to win and sacrificing storytelling in the process. But I guess that is the nature of beast. Now that anyone that knows me, knows that I try to keep it as realistic as possible, hell I even roll the dice on most actions and defences I make in a post. It keeps me honest and outcomes random. And yes Taryc I have even rolled the dice to see if my Force Negating Lizard would survive. Actually rolled twice so far in this duel.

Can't speak for [member="Perla Pirjo"], but speaking for myself, you and [member="Conner Garon"] are going up against my character whose main strength is Telekinesis, with training threads to prove how good she is with it.

The problem with RP forums is that time within the frame of each post is highly interpretative. I imagine that my moves are taking some time and exertion within each post. You may be imagining time moving faster. But that's the inherent problem with doing this kind of thing through creative writing. How everything is happening in your head, may not be happening exactly the same way in mine.

TLDR:
Respectfully, it shouldn't take me 2 or 3 posts to move a few trees.

Also, and again just speaking for myself here, the only detail I contested was Connor's disintegration of animal bones because his writer decided they were "old"

And given that, I've only asked for edits to specify how he is controlling how HIS CHARACTER reacts and not the bones themselves.

Other than that, I have not contested any of his other moves nor asked for edits.

You could of respectfully sent this in a PM. But instead you decided to drag this out in front of everybody, that is bad form and I do not appreciate it.

Now let's talk about my post, I said the bones were old not fossils. If you've seen predator lizard rib cages they are very thin. (See Komodo Dragon)

Now I'm not a canon guru about how sensetive force lizards are and how big a nutrient frame is. I personally assumed it was the size of a backpack which the sky strike mini jump back goes on the small of the back.

Now as for your post. Your character threw 3 full sized trees at strider, bellow that was more trees from strider being trapped. So unless your charcter has played dig dug their entire life digging past those obstacles that you created generally doesn't happen. That's why I wrote Conner taking cover rather than just shooting your character. I won't comment about your characters force prowess but before you ask me to edit, please take a good look at what your character is doing in your posts.

Also please don't treat this as me being hostile, still <3 u boo

Fellow writers and dueling partners [member="Conner Garon"] [member="Strider Garon"] [member="Jemmila Kyrgen"]

The reason I brought this up in OOC was for transparency. I actually did engage in a PM with you [member="Conner Garon"] and it wasn't the most productive conversation. I don't think PMs would be constructive at this point.

The edits we are requesting are as followed:

- Move Perla back to the tree
- Edit the bones as Jem requested

The zombies I can live with. Don't worry about editing that. Getting on with the story is what we all care about here.

Also to address the concern of being overpowered by [member="Strider Garon"]. Perla has only used the following Force moves:

- Knocked over some "weakened" trees
- Created a sinkhole
- Animated the dead using a spell for which I have a thread. She knows this Nightsister spell.

I personally don't find that to be overpowered, but I realize it's subjective.

Be nice.

And it's not disrespectful to discuss these things in the OOC chat. This is exactly the sort of thing this chat is here for.

Also,

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Nutrient_frame

There is no mention of these things being fragile or not fragile, nor is there mention of a Ysalamiri being vulnerable to "jostling". But since they were canonically designed for use by Stormtroopers, I'd lean more towards them being fairly robust.

Well, no one here is a canon guru about everything, but the prudent thing would be to find out about your gear.

Ysalamir - These lizards can produce a Force-repelling bubble up to 10 meters in diameter (5 meters in every direction). They MUST live in nutrient tanks when not on their home planet of Myrkr. Nutrient tanks can be strapped to your back in place of Rocket Packs.
That is from within the Mandalorian forums, I can provide a destination for you in a PM if you would like.

Ysalamiri That is the link to the Wookiee about the repto-mammal. They are about half a meter long and need to be in a nutrient tube filled periodically with nutrient...stuff. Half a meter is about 1 foot 7 inches long, give or take. That would make any nutrient pack have to be about as big as a camping backpack in my opinion, if you're going to have the repto-mammal and enough food for a few days.

This is just for information, I've been seeing a great deal of Ysalamiri around in various skirmishes/invasions/what have you and I have been seeing peple do things with them attached as if it were just another device or some Vong tech. Essentially, you have a very large, immobile cat in a backpack full of food. In canon they were used by stormtroopers, who aren't very nimble and tend to die fairly easily.

Taryc : Its robust enough to go to war.

Perla: You have a couple threads under you belt detailing your usage of Telekinesis. And such it being your main focus gives you licence to OP the usage of such skills. Hey, maybe your right. But now lets flip this around and look at Strider Garon. He has over a decade worth of threads trailing over many sites portraying the saga of a man of war (combat being his main focus). In all honesty if there was a rank system here for NFUs, Strider would be Grandmando badass and I should have his avatar changed to the untouchable Steven Seagal but I don't and I refrain from OP writing cause it irks me. But then again that is me and my opinion and I guess what I would like to see is you two tone it down a bit. Now, if say a FA, RPJ or someone more knowledgeable in FU levels and usage tells me to pound sand then I will pound sand and carry on and cease my bellyaching.

also like to say my mention buttons don't work while I am on this certain computer. *Smashes govnt property*
