Knocking on Forbidden Doors

"That is something not at all true, Iturizu. We are human and have the same emotions any other race would. The thing is, we don't show them in public, so many assume they aren't there. My teenage years were filled with love, laughter and happiness. Hang around me more and you'll see more."

When Seo finished stretching, she stood up and looked on as her guest did that same. He asked how much longer they would be in flight and she tipped her head in the direction of the cockpit.

"Let's go look."

Pulling up the flight route they had, she pointed to the end destination and the arrival time.

"According to this, we have a little under a day left. We'll get there after breakfast and before lunch."

He silently nodded at Seo's words, through his mind wondering how such an adaptation came about, it was just a little hard to understand as for him laughing, smiling, frowning and so one were natural reactions depending on emotions. Half the time they were involuntary or needed quite the amount of training to suppress, for Linns race to not do such or have the ability to suppress outward emotions, it intrigued him on how such a thing came about. "It is certainly an note worthy thing, I will certainly have to spend some time learning about your people and culture, something you could help with in your spare time"?

They were both headed for the Silver Jedi and Seo worked with them, even if she was a little aloof, perhaps he'd go with her on such missions. Despite being one with the Light Yuive wasn't keen on giving up his Sith code. Certainly such ideals would clash with a few Jedi, even if the Silvers did allow more dark side characters to become apart of their ranks. His attention shifted to the route planned, still with a finger to his chin, "so late morning, alright, I best have a change of clothes ready then, I want to make a good first impression".

"Our history goes back a very long time. We have been slaves many times over. I grew up one even. Yet, I didn't allow it to scar me. My master did not abuse me physically enough to leave any outward scars."

Internally and mentally that was another story, but Seo did not mention that. If Iturizu was as intelligent as she felt he was, then he would be able to easily figure that out.

"Of course, I can help you. Lorrd is under the control of the Sith Empire, but they pretty much leave it alone. No more slavery and that surprises me a bit. I'm thankful for that though so don't get me wrong. That is a way of life that needs to be done with."

Since she was opening up around him, he would be able to hear the almost hate in her voice.

"That can be done. This ship has the facilities needed to live on. It might not be much, but it's my home for the most part when I'm not with my family or the Silvers."

Yuve gave a silent nod to Seo, knowing full well what life as a slave could do to someone on a mental level, he'd seen cases so bad where slaves even when they got freedom didn't know what to do with it and sometimes kill themselves."Slaves, seems to be a common theme for many near human races, though I've not been one I know for a fact my home planet is suffering from that", along with zombie plague that the Sith brought about and used as means to enact martial law and suppress everyone.

"Hmm I may have been a traitor to the Galatic Empire but I don't think the Sith would care that much, perhaps even my old master name could carrying some meaning", though at the time the Sith Empire was referred to as the Ascendancy and wasn't as brutal or powerful as it was now. "Technically speaking I am still a Sith, I just reject the darkness and have followed the path to the light side is all, as long as we don't run into any other Sith and I wear my old imperial outfit I don;'t think anyone would dare ask questions". Even in the empire troopers would think twice before even looking in the general direction of a Inquisitor.

He gave a small nod towards her explanation of the ship, "traveling on craft like these isn't anything new to me, can use this time to relax and train".

Some people considered those from Lorrd to be near human, but that wasn't the case at all. They were entirely human, but due to their long history of being slaves, others started classing them as near human. Seo couldn't help but agree with what he said though and nodded slowly. If he read her body language close enough, he would see there was some sorrow there.

"I understand, Iturizu. Perhaps, we are more similar than either of us realize. I might be Jedi, but I am no angel. I've killed and I don't expect that not happen again. While if it can be avoided, then I always try that route. Sometimes it can't be helped."

Remembering the times she did kill, there was a slightly distant look in her eyes. When he spoke again, it brought her back to the present. Listening, she looked at him from head to toe and just now realized how he was dressed.

"It doesn't bother me a bit."

She was pretty unconventional for a Jedi though and if he hadn't figured that by now, then he probably never would.

After he commented about spending the time relaxing or training, that's what each of them did. Whatever they wanted to do. At dinner time, she set food out for him and took hers to her room. Not that she was trying to ignore her guest or anything, she just felt like being alone.

Soon after that, she cleaned up their empty plates and took a shower. Hoping he had taken care of the cleaning he needed done on his clothes, she went to bed. Just before the alarm went off to announce their arrival in SIlver territory, she prepared breakfast for them.

"We're almost there. Should have just enough time to eat. Are you ready?"

Different yet the same, though race was never really a factor he felt made someone immediately close. Just because two people shared the same blood didn't mean much, it was a person ideology and actions that made them who they are. Being of the same ethnic group just meant a higher chance for two people to share the same views but that wasn't always the case.

With a small understanding nod Yuive retired for the night after eating dinner, sense that Seo needed time to herself, a feeling he once again understood himself getting comfortable without worrying about some sort of external threat for once in a while. Be it with the Galatic Empire or Alliance, in both cases the threat of some sort was always present, though with the latter it went through the roof, half due to general Sith nature and half due to being hunted as a traitor.

Come morning he was up and ready, the regimental ideals stuck in his mind making it an early rise as always, "I gotta learn how to sleep in one of theses days". Donning his uniform the Mirialan wandered to the ships cockpit, looking out into the streaking white lines of hyperspace, "ready when you are".

Placing their plates on the table, she took her seat and started eating. Her own clothes were pretty much the same as before. Desert tones, but with small gold strands of thread woven through them.

"For me, at least in space, I sleep when I'm tired and don't follow a specific schedule. I just listen to what my body wants and go with it. Alarm clocks do help though."

When the time came and she was just listening to the Force, those were turned off. It was only once she knew where she was going that she started to adjust her sleeping pattern to fit the local time of that world. In the few days they had been together, this was something she had done for both of them. Even if he hadn't noticed it.

His uniform was quite fetching and Seo allowed her gaze to linger on that for a little while. Not in a flirting manner, just an observational one, but he might notice this. That was fine with her and she took no effort to hide it.

"What are your plans now?"

Yuive tried on the clothes Seo gave him, a little tight around the shoulders but over all fitting well, certainly more comfortable then some uniforms and armor he had worn over the years. Once in a more settled environment a change of wardrobe would be high on the list of other priorities.

"Well that is quite the natural way of thinking, but being in the military for so long some things just become ingrained inside your mind even if they are no longer necessary". "Besides, it may come in quite useful, can never hurt lest you find yourself back in said military situation, I doubt the Sith Empire is going to be slowing down anytime soon".

As the ship reached its destination he once more donned a uniform, he was proud of his service over the years, even if some decisions were not the best. The lingering gaze of Seo wasn't hard to notice, but it didn't really bother him, after all he had been a women only 2 years ago, didn't mean he couldn't have a bit of fun, Yuive striking a slightly silly pose before answering.

"My plans, I don't know, perhaps I will let the force guide me, so far it hasn't steered me wrong, though i guess finding some sort of work would be good".

Her clothes were made for a woman, so that alone dictated they wouldn't fit a male in the same way. The clothes Seo had were like a uniform for her, even if they didn't look like one. What would stand out about them was their coloring. Everything was earth tone and would fit in well as camouflage in the desert.

"I am pretty logical and prefer to take things a step at a time usually. Considering I'm a Jedi, this might not make much sense. However, I don't think it really matters as long as I accomplish what needs to be done. It could be rescuing a person, helping people settle, freeing slaves, that kind of thing."

Letting out a small breath through her nose, she had a little smile on her face. Then he flaunted his uniform and she laughed at that.

"You look good in uniform. I'm glad we were able to get it cleaned. You listen as well? Perhaps we will meet up again in our travels."

Leaving him to land the ship, she expected to him gather up any additional items he might have with him and then rejoined him. Clipping her lightsaber to her belt, she opened the ramp and motioned for him to go first.

"I wish you the best of luck, Iturizu Yuvie and may the Force be with you. In whatever you do, my friend."
