Legend of the Hidden Temple [SJO Dominion of Chalacta Hex AD-33]

Location: Krakana-class Tactical Command Ship Obi-Wan Kenobi, in orbit around Nar Bo Sholla
Objective: 2

"...and aside from Master Jyoti's party, I have received word that Master Sykes may also be involved in treating this...problem."

Gir merely nodded in acknowledgement as he intently watched the massive holo of Nar Bo Sholla rotate around on its Z-axis. Strange to think that something so tiny and typically overlooked like a bug can bring so much trouble with it. His blue eyes darted around the specks of light orbited around the world, identifying their various makes and models of starships. He watched a pair of starfighters buzz pass a drone barge before they sent out a single clearing the barge to depart from the world.

"This problem may keep us here for a while," decided Gir, "especially if traffic becomes any more backed up either entering or leaving the world."

"You aren't suggesting lessening the screening protocols?"

The blonde man grimaced, "That is not something that we can control. Despite our mission to support the government of Nar Bo Sholla in their efforts to prevent the spread of the stone mites, we have to keep the greater strategic picture in mind."

"We need to send all infested ships to the Sith Empire?"

A warm grin slowly spread itself on Gir's face, "If only. No, this could either be a distraction from something else or the precursor to an attack."

His executive officer stared at him silently for a few seconds, "You really think so?"

He shrugged, "Not really, maybe a 5-10% chance? There's no real external evidence to support it, but it would be an interesting gedanken experiment."

Captain Mroos looked at his datapad, "While, the survey crew and droids have only mapped about a quarter of the world for the infestation. We should have plenty of time to do more thinking about it, if that's something that you're seriously considering."

Gir nodded, "No, it would probably be more responsible of me to oversee the surveys and ensure that the screening processes for departing vessels are being run in an efficient order."

"I can take care of running the screening processes sir. I don't really think that we need another officer of the watch with Captain Reneko already on the bridge."

"I'll be in the planetary operations center then. Give me a ring if anything comes up."

"Will do."

Location: Vuxirm Residential District, Nar Bo Sholla Capital
Objective: Extermination

Todak had initially arrived on Nar Bo Sholla with Master Nooran, her apprentice Charlie, and fellow padawan Asaraa Vaashe. Due to the scale of the infestation, Todak decided to depart from the group, taking along his retro-fitted Viper probe ‘Iggy’ to the residential district in the hopes of getting detailed scans from the rooftops of the towering living quarters.

“Hurry up Iggy, we don’t have all day.” Todak taunted the droid that was having difficulty hovering up the confined stairwell.

Todak continued to leap from effortlessly between floors jumping across the small gap between each floor hanging precariously from the railings as he periodically checked back on Iggy’s progress. The Viper droid was just a bit too large to simply to slip up the center of the stairwell and Todak didn’t want to chance a scratch on the fresh black and silver paint job he put so much effort into. Nearing the last dozen flights the windows in the enclosed stairwell ended casting a pitch black shadow for the last leg of the journey. The lack of power was a announce and if it wasn’t for his natural infrared vision Todak might have had to wait for Iggy to catch up, but fortunately for him his vision transitioned and he now saw the world in vivid colors ranged from cool blue surfaces to bright orange of the ceiling above being bombarded by the rays of the local star.

Leaping the last few levels Todak found himself on the top floor suddenly surrounded by dozens of mites working their way from one hollowed out wall to another. His nerves a bit on edge as the sensation of bugs crawling up his skin suddenly washed over him. The creepy crawlers put off so much heat from their feasting that they looked like a white river made of dozens of individual blobs flowing around him and his osmotic field.

“I hope your field generators working as these little guess look hungry,” Todak told Iggy and his laughed thinking of the droid as a giant floating meal for the pest.

Iggy beeped and whistled back at Todak in great displeasure with the light he was taking in the droids struggles and tension. The feelings and attitude might be simulated but Todak spent weeks compiling an advanced mixed intelligence built from his favorite coding of other droid models. The final results of the amalgamation intellect created for some unusual side effects, for example, a lack of awareness of ones surroundings as the droid became distracted by the infestation and slammed into Todak pushing on the floor.

“Remind me to debug your priorities algorithms when we get back,” Todak said with a hint of injured pride in his voice as he stood back up dusting off his robes.

Iggy let out one long honk as it grabbed the back of Todaks collar lifting it up and down in an attempt to help him knock free the dust. “Enough I can take care of it myself.” He stated at the droid as he tapped at the manipulator arm with his one furry clawed hand.

As Iggy released its grip Todak walked over to the roof access door and with a tug on the handle gained access to the roof just beyond. Stepping out onto the rooftop his vision returned to normal, the surrounding towers looked ominous almost haunted he thought if he believed in that sort of thing. The spotty power supply keep buildings flickering erratically as they tried to hold on to every last watt of power futility. The empty houses and streets left what should have been a bustling and loud city empty other than the sound of Iggys’ thruster puttering along in the background and the occasional breeze wailing between the buildings. In hindsight, Todak wasn’t sure it was such a great idea to venture out in the desolate residential distract by himself.

“Alright get your scans done and let us get out of here, this place is creeping me out.” Todak order Iggy to begin as he felt an eerie shiver crawl up his spine.

Two beeps and a few clicks later Iggy lifted itself a few additional meters off the rooftop and began spinning. With each succeeding loop, Iggy scanned further out with its entire suite of sensors reaching well beyond a handheld scanner but with equal resolution. If the duo could make it back to the rondevu point without incident they would have a great deal of data on the area and the infestation to turn in and a good portion of the residential distract scanned.

C O R U S C A N T
Approximately 650 Years Ago

"Release me from this prison."

His beaten, charred husk of a body knelt on the floor, awaiting judgment. Lifeless bodies were strewn about the throne room; casualties of the fight, as well as reinforcements that came and found themselves overtaken by the tornado of battle, never to rise again. Smoke from the dying embers of pure Force lightning still rose from some of their bodies. Darth Immortus remained, as ever, alive. How he wished it were not so. There seemed no crueler fate than to remain shackled to his mortal coil when all those he had once loved had been stripped of theirs, as his life's dark work withered into a flayed husk much like his palace around him. Everything had been destroyed, all that remained was his beating heart. Beating on without purpose or precision, wandering like a lone pulse in space. Immortus wished for no more solitude in this decaying, decrepit galaxy. He waited to embrace the nothingness.

"Killing him is dangerous. We do not know what he is capable of."

Immortus looked up at his judges from parted locks of brown hair, feeling the heat of the green lightsaber radiating near his neck. If he could lean forward and sever his own neck upon it he would, but for the hand on the back of his skull that kept his head firmly in place. His powers were drained after the prolonged battle, he could summon no more Force energy to free himself from his captors.

"We must trap him in the void, a place from which he cannot return!"

The Sith Lord's eyes slowly shifted towards the voice of his foe, a lifeless sea of white above a breathless scowl. The face of the Jedi burned itself into his memory forever.

"I will see to it that your bloodline knows suffering." Speaking was difficult, the Sith Lord's voice came out in nothing but a sharp, venomous whisper.

"They will know."

C H A L A C T A
Present Day

Even in the void, the soul of Darth Immortus could sense an approaching presence. How long had it been since he had felt the radiating pulse of life in these stony, dead walls? How long since he had felt the warm call of a beating heart? The sensation of the approaching lifeforms caused an instinctive reaction, a guttural scream from within his ancient confines. His Force energy moved so powerfully that his holocron began to rumble and shake on its pedestal. And then, the wave of Force energy fell silent. He could sense that these lifeforms were bathed in the Light Side of the Force. Once he felt that, his massive torrent of Force energy shrunk back to almost nothing. The presence of the Dark Side suddenly dissipated. He would wait to be found.

But first, the party would find the skeletal corpses of the Sharukan Jedi that inhabited these walls before them, strewn haphazardly, dotting the hallways here and there. Dead apparently from some quarrel, either with outside forces or possibly themselves. They would be wearing rings and necklaces crafted by his Force energy.

Did the fleet hear her message? There was something there, through the whistle and static, but she couldn’t be sure.

”Say again? I can’t…hello Silver Tree, come in?”

With a shake, a tap and a frustrated grunt, Stephanie held the com up to her ear, but still made out nothing. This was no use. Others we coming in, and [member="Cassius Droma"] looked to be ready to move. She gave up, killing the signal, and turned back to the others.

She smiled and mouthed “Hi” to one [member="Elisea Korrado"] as she greeted them, and headed out with the expedition across to the caves and over-arching treetops. She saw the holoprojector illuminate from Cassius, and kept walking.

There was a tingle in the air. The tingle of slight fear, but excitement. Uncertainty, but expectation. What would they find?

They came to a bridge and Stephanie crossed over, heading to Cassius, but as she did there was a pressure in the back of her as head. Almost like when she was dehydrated – that dull ache inside her mind. She closed a blinked a few times to rid the sensation – maybe it was the height of the bridge they were on? Maybe it was some…some supernatural Force power under them?

She made it over, and the feeling eased. How strange.

”Did you feel that,” she said to Cassius as not to cause alarm, ”or was it just me?”

"Done!"

Once the slave clerk hands her the keys to the truck, Varindar starts driving the truck towards the nearest city, which the spaceport served, Qadesh, in search for a shop selling extermination supplies. Luckily she was able to drive it without complications, while the hardest part was parking the truck in a suitable parking slot. But, since she was covered in insect stings, it would not be a stretch for the local shop to actually recognize that she had a need for their products, and, in fact, the shop wasn't busy in the slightest. Not that the place was not doing well, just that the clientele usually came in the morning to get the work done. So that's where the legitimate business of the spaceport comes, she thought, while she entered the exterminator shop, with the clerk actually being straight to the point, in an attempt to guide her to the right product, not suspecting that the spaceport is run by the Ta'jar Blood Gang, nor did he suspect that Varindar was a Jedi using the Ta'jar Blood Gang as a cover to get to slaves so as to free them later down the road.

"State your request"

"The spaceport needs to get extermination work done, I just came through a shift at the spaceport and the spaceport is now acknowledging that something needs to be done to get the place rid of insects"

"Permethrine is what you need for stuff of that nature. You may also want to buy sprayers" the clerk pointed her to the 0.20% permethrine, needing four gallon-sized canisters of that stuff for her plan, as well as sprayers, wondering who or why the speeder rental shop didn't have a smaller vehicle to rent out.

Zora’s eyes grew wide, watching as the blue light of the holoprojector flickered to life. She gazed with great interest as Cassius’ hand was transformed by the holographic camouflage. Without having seen the ancient Sharu in person, she could only form the rest of the image in her mind. But before her thoughts could begin running riot, a rather loud clanging sound drew her attention.

A small gasp escaped as the bridge extended to allow them into the temple.

Her doe-eyes lingered on Cassius for a moment as he took the lead, walking carefully across. Reaching into her case once more, she pulled out a scanning device that would help her map the location. That way, it could be remembered in the archives in accurate detail. There was a flutter of excitement; this experience would not be forgotten anytime soon. The first taste of explorer life was already proving to be rather intoxicating.

Edging the toe of her boot forward, she began to close the gap between her current position and the other side of the bridge. Though Zora did not have the force like most of the others, there was an eerie sense that something was here. When she reached the other side, she stood just a tad closer to her Jedi companions.

“Golly,” She removed her glasses and rubbed her eyes before replacing them.

Overhearing Padawan Swail speaking to Cassius, Zora leaned towards her.

“Is there something wrong?” She asked, blinking.

Indeed the Jedi in her group were likely more experienced when it came to this sort of thing. But as her attention shifted towards the entrance, the concern began to melt away. They were so close. Stepping away slightly, she peered ahead into the temple. From her current position, there was quite little to see, but this small glimpse was enough to ignite her curiosity once more. Little did she know the scene that awaited them just inside.

“… Shall we?” Zora asked, fixing an eager glance on the group before her gaze settled on Cassius. It would be quite rude to go before the group leader, wouldn’t it?

OBJECTIVE 2: Extermination

- Visit Nar Bo Sholla to help rid the planet of a Stone Mite infestation.

It was then no sooner had he return to the temple after one his own personal sojourn trip that he came upon the call which at best struck his interest and soon enough ended up in him find himself here. Blasting off and was now hovering over the planet as be did his best to establish a communication link to the initial team sent who he just miss catching when he got back. Hope if nothing else that once he did establish communication with would help immensely in him meet up with them and avoid having to land his ship on the planet for too long. For if truth be told from what bit he knew and heard from the other spacer he knew. The planet along with the infamous Stone Mites was not something you mess with. As the mites could eat yah out of work and ship in a heartbeat and were damn hard be rid much less exterminated if you weren't in the know. Ast to how to watch out for them or deal with once you came into contact with...

It had been a while since Tana had to act seriously, but for at least the following 24 hours Tana's body would be under the control of his calm slightly cold and more militaristic persona, hopefully that would not be a bummer for the usual whimsical Charlie or the joking Pun master Jyoti. As per usual operations that involved killing things Tana was dressed in his old Nexus armor, tight, easy to move around int, sleek and more of all stealthy with only minor amount of metal to make up it's structure. Why? does he did not want his clothing to become the next meal of Stone Mite, sure the little buggers may not have a taste for Whitrum but the young Jin was not going to take that chance, besides pink was not this persona's colour.

While Master and Padawan talked thing over the former assassin went over the equipment that had been supplied upon arrival, most notably the osmotic field, did not want that failing anytime soon. Behold that, sensors where functional, saber was working and blades where as sharp as ever, all in all ready for a day of killing, but what Charlie said did raise a point, would they need to be all close and person or could the Jedi just use some sort of mass method to remove the critters from the stain. "I to am interested in what method we are using to remove the Stone Mite's from the vicinity, I am compliant with anything as long as it is quick, efficient"

"Mr. Fenn?"

Tarion had stood as the man approached. If he remembered right the man's official title was Assistant Undersecretary, and he worked for the Department of Infrastructure; essentially put, he wasn't the boss but his boss had the boss's ear. For a first meeting of planetary importance with no prior discussion other than the scheduling, this was about as good as it got.

"That's me. Pleasure to meet you, Mr.Kasra."

The two shook hands and headed into Kasra's office. The holoplate on the door confirmed his position as assistant undersecretary, and as they entered Tarion began to suspect that the other man might be a neat freak. There was not a speck of dust in the place, and there was an air of impeccable organization. Even the shelves that contained boxes of datacards were organized. If he wasn't a neat freak, whoever cared for the office was. But while that may come in useful, he needed to get his mind back on the conversation...the man had kept talking.

"So tell me, why is TransGalMeg interested here? I get that we have ships literally falling apart, but our spaceport is about the same. And how'd you even hear about this anyways? We didn't exactly put out a news bulletin."

Tarion smiled, but inwardly. Clearly the man had looked them up but only done a brief overview. TGM wasn't exactly a galactic name yet, and their shipyards were better known than their other divisions. It was a good thing he'd anticipated being asked how he'd learned about it, he had an answer ready.

"No, but you asked the Silver Jedi for help. We have a contact there who passed along the information. It was specifically thought that we could help rebuild. We not only have ships - which will be available - we have a mining division. We can supply the metals needed to rebuild the spaceport."

The other man clearly hadn't been expecting that. His mouth moved for a couple seconds before any words came out, and when they did it was obvious they were a stalling tactic.

"We kind of need the metalmites gone before we can start rebuilding. How are you planning on helping with that?"

"The Silver Jedi will take care of that angle. It's why you asked for their help, right?"

While not back to full mental capacity, the the assistant undersecretary had regained some of his wits. His next question was shrewd and showed that he'd dealt with corporations before.

"So you're just here to profit off our problems then."

"Not as much as you're expecting. We'd be supplying the metals directly, no middlemen. Less expensive that way. And our profit margin will be rather small. We're not profiteers."

As it happened, the small profit margin was a mandate from Audren. If he'd had a board or shareholders to answer to they wouldn't have been happy, but as sole owner he didn't need to worry about that. The profit margin would be far smaller than it could have been. Tarrion had argued against that, saying that since their production costs would be less than those of other companies, they could claim a percentage lower than those companies but higher than their own. It would give the image of taking a loss but they'd still make a significant profit. But the argument had been shut down hard: if they were found out, it would ruin the company's reputation. Besides, it was wrong.

Kasra had regained his equanimity and stood, holding out his hand for Tarion to shake again.

"Let me put together some numbers, estimates on how much we would need. I'll set up a meeting with the Undersecretary, bring your bid with you. We'll see what we can do."

Preliat's footsteps were light, betraying his size. The Epicanthix brute lingered behind the group, and he shared the sentiment of wonder. Mandalore had buildings and historical sites, but none quite this....temple-ish. Temples were a rare sight on Mandalore, shrines were more common than these places.

That, and Mandalorians weren't very fond of elaborate works that didn't serve a purpose.

He swung his camera around, snapping pictures of this and that, before he looked down at the only group in the party that he knew- [member="Zora Djo"]. He had no armor, no visible weapons. Just a sweater and some fatigues that he borrowed from the Rangers. An observant person, however, would notice a cloth-wrapped handle hanging off of his belt in the small of his back. Small beads clicked against the web belt that held his spelunking and camera gear.

"Are all Jedi temples so....intricate?"

No teacher on a field trip survived lunch time.

Three food fights and younglings going all over the place, and before the teacher knew what had happened, she was counting heads and coming up short one bear.

Which, that wasn't his fault, but something smelled really good!

Nose to the grindstone, or, the ground in any case, the small Beorni seemed to be working furiously at tracking just what it was that smelled delicious. Head down. Black, button nose wriggling vigorously. Butt in the air. Puffball tail wagging happily for all it was worth.

The bear's head came up like a pointer dog, complete with a three-point stance, one paw cocked in the air. His round ears seemed to twitch and move like radar warning antenna. And then he was off, scampering forward in leaps and bounds only to stop, put his head down, and repeat the same cycle of motions again.

The bear landed on all fours, pouncing at where his nose had indicated, only to find himself once more at an impasse. Except this time, the scent seemed to be gone. Turning his head this way and that, the Beorni realized that he now couldn't pick up the scent. Even in the direction he'd just come from.

The white fur stood on end.

A shiver traveled along his body as though a field of grass undulating in the wind.

He felt... something. What, he couldn't have said.

The boy turned his head. There was a room in the temple that lay open beside him. For some reason, he felt as though he was supposed to go in there.

Gianna smiled pleasantly at Cassius when he responded favorably to her teasing. Her expression was soft, full of light, and innocent of all things despite the fact that she’d been the one to initiate the impromptu fun and games. He threatened to run her through an A-Wing training unit until the gravitational forces rendered her unconscious and a breathy laugh escaped her. Her tone was touched with more humor and a particularly peculiar dash of faux-warning. “It is unbecoming for a Jedi to make promises he cannot keep. Shame, shame.”

The sing-song tone she finished with died quickly, considering, they were all eager to see what Chalacta had to offer. They were not disappointed, not in the slightest, and Gianna found herself easily mingling with the rest of the passengers of the Stardust. Everyone seemed to hold the appropriate amount of awe and inquisitiveness. Knight, padawan, researcher, doctor…It didn’t matter. Everyone, save perhaps, T-4D4 had come here for a reason. They were all victims of curiosity.

A few people seemed to respond to her mention of rather large arachnids, though, aside from [member="Zora Djo"] and [member="Cassius Droma"] she hadn’t really been aware anyone else was paying attention. [member="Sky'ito Yumi"] was the only one to really speak to her directly, however, and Gianna gifted the dark-haired woman a beautiful smile. “Not all planets are so well gifted. If it could hide a temple for so long, perhaps, further exploration is in order. Who knows what else there might be to discover?”

The cinnamon haired woman lingered behind while the others crowded ahead. She was just as interested in the rest but she didn’t feel the need to rush. The temple would still be there in five minutes, or ten, just long enough for her to absorb the breathtaking skyline. It would a long moment after they entered the caves, in which they would be blessed enough to see it again. [member="Elisea Korrado"] cheerfully introduced herself to the group when she made her approach and Gianna whole-heartedly returned it. She noted a lack of force sensitivity around the caramel-skinned woman, however, it did not make a difference to the Naboo native. “I’m Gianna Aegis. Gia, if you like. It’s nice to meet you.”

Elisea held an atypical accent that made her want to listen a little closer, but otherwise, she seemed every bit as well-intentioned as the rest of them. It was a relief to have an actual doctor among them. Not that she was at all downplaying the wonderful programming of T-4D4. No, that she would never do.

Momentarily, she was distracted by the sight of [member="Stephanie Swail"] seeming to have trouble with her comms. Gianna noted it, but, there seemed to be no cause for alarm as she quickly made her way to the front. The pale-skinned Knight watched the group move ahead, half-wondering, if she was actually the eldest of them until she noticed an older man with a very strong nose. ([member="Preliat Mantis"]) Jade eyes followed him for a moment. What thin air had he slid from, so softly, that she had not noticed his existence until this very moment?

Her inquiries were lost when Zora passed something she couldn’t see to Cassius and a bridge extended as if by magic. She hadn’t seen his hand change with the hologram or it might have garnered a raised brow. Much like the others, Gianna noticed the change in pressure, and it actually stopped her from immediately crossing the bridge. It was not fear that bound her but a healthy dose of learned caution.

Suddenly, there was a sensation deep in the pit of her stomach that urged her to turn back. The typically talkative and animated woman said not a word. Instead, she watched and listened. Green eyes, the color of an ocean churning during a storm lingered on the fairly gilded temple that lay before them. There was darkness, even still, that hid the corners of the area from view. She couldn’t see into those shadows. Yet, she nearly had to struggle, not to try.

The younger Jedi present seemed only to see the overarching promise of adventure. Gianna was glad for it, as their joy in discovery soothed her heart, but there was a twisting feeling along her spine that she could not ignore. The feeling of darkness faded after a point…But Gianna would not say that it was gone. If she focused, reaching through the ambient black, and looked further than she ought to…

…It was still there. It had only become very, very small. She could feel it, weaving through remnants of the dead and forgotten. Pretty pink lips pressed together in a thin line as she temporarily kept her own counsel. She was merely a guest here, invited by Cassius, and would, therefore, mind her own unless real danger presented itself. She did not know entirely what lay ahead, but her vision flickered when she came to a stop behind the grouped padawans. It was a mere flash…But she saw it all the same.

Bones.

Objective: Cloak-and-dagger

That's the most I'd ever spend for that sort of cloak-and-dagger mission. Next morning, they will find themselves with a spaceport full of dead bugs, she thought, while she was, in fact, buying that extermination equipment with Silvers' money, rather than Ta'jar money. No financing, cash purchase, and she later returned to the spaceport for the night, waiting patiently until the end of the regular flight hours to start filling the permethrine inside the stun gas canisters, so that she could kill two birds with one stone. First getting the spaceport rid of those insects and secondly, getting the spaceport's staff stunned so that her crew could later capture the slaves and the gangsters. But they couldn't handle those things without wearing the Mk8 Katarn armor first. Oh boy: wearing heavy armor like Katarn Mk8 is uncomfortable as hell, she thought, while she was grateful for the grappling hook. And perhaps for telekinesis since she would likely grab those canisters using the Force, before releasing their contents into key points of the spaceport's HVAC systems.

"Now, drop the stun gas into the HVAC systems: the buggers may as well have entered the spaceport through it, the mesh of the HVAC system is rather wide. Oh and do have those filters replaced if it works" she whispered into encrypted comms to the rest of the team, which dropped stun gas mixed with insecticides.

"Well met, Gia." Elisea acknowledged, having not noticed Stephanie's comms trouble but instead thought to grab a small holorecorder so she could review the journey later and analyze their findings. Would certainly make a for a great addition to the library there on Monastery. Her attention then turned to the older man of the group who asked about Jedi Temples, and Elisea answered him. "Some, not all - others are far more simplistic." She then backed away a little, fearing she'd perhaps overstepped her bounds the counselor slunk to the back of the group and like Gia she missed the holoprojector the Avalonian followed the group as they began their trek in.

A bridge was presented before them and Elisea was vaulted with the memories of FIMS training. Every Imperial Medic had to endure their share of physical training and for the moment it seemed some of that training would pay off. Caution learned during Kaeshana and Mustafar showed themselves as she was careful to cross and when she had reached the other end the Avalonian didn't seem to feel anything. She would later attribute this to training and the conditioning she had gone through with the First Order. First Imperial Medics weren't simply allowed to have 'bad feelings' you investigated, and searched there was always a logical reason for it. Any talk of the Force or silliness such as that was dismissed, or you were tagged to be questioned later.

Unfortunately what training she did have, would not provide for her lack of perception or noticing when the Researcher stood a little closer to their Jedi companions. No, Elisea had been oblivious to it instead she was drawn to the Temple that laid before them. "Oh Balance be, what a marvelous sight..." She remarked with a hushed but awed tone.

Straight on no base camp, well whatever suited the others, being a vampire Sukai would not wear for stamina through out the day, even if they had to keep on the move, carrying their equipment. Besides they could always make a small rest once they arrived at the temple, though it really depended on how the place still held up, the insides may be all ruined and unsuitable, or the structure could have stood the test of time. "Well not complains form me, lead the way [member="Cassius Droma"]-san, seeing as you are our expedition leader", she replied, making a small hand gesture to proceed.

Before she could take a single step though a shiver ran through her spin, the very emanate presence of the dark side, one she knew all to well, [member="Stephanie Swail"] voicing her own concern, a frown appearing across Sukai's face. "No you are not along", she replied quietly to the Padwan "I feel that something here is off", a feeling that Sukai now took very seriously, more so considering the fact the Jedi knight constantly expected the worse to happen.

"Best remain on alert, but would not want to make the others feel uncomfortable or second guess coming here", it seemed though that Sukai and Swail where not the only ones. The new woman [member="Gianna Aegis"] seemed to be a little disturbed by something and it was not just the age of the structure, now Sukai could tell when someone sensed a dark presence and this place despite having rarely been visited. What finally tipped her off was the reveal of a skeletal remains along the path way, but these where not your average corpses. Bending down she examined the bones, the way they skeletons where strewn about, similar in fashion to the aftermath of a battle, defensive like positions, the body positions, damage to certain areas, body, head arms.

"Something happened her long ago, the question is when where and why"? had they died long ago? where the bodies more recent? it was unclear, the problem with secluded places like this, when something did happen very few knew about it. 'I have to keep my guard up, I have a bad feeling about this place'.

THE PLANET CHALACTA

A short, white muzzle punctuated by a black, button nose edged inside of the doorway.

A pair of sparkling eyes peered around the contours of the vaulted room that lay on the other side of the threshold. Slowly, the bear's short, round body came into full view as the cub eased inside. The round head turned this way and that, as the bear seemed to be trying to gather his bearings.

It was strange to try and describe. He felt as though he wasn't supposed to be in here. And yet, he felt as though he was.

Star charts seemed to dominate the decor, the ceiling depicted as constellations. Tapestries to either side were embroidered as though star charts. Shelves lined the room, aglow with the warm ambient light of datacrons, like a library.

Wandering through the maze of shelves, the young Beorni was perplexed at when and where he was. Somewhere he didn't belong, yet felt as though he did. A place he had never been before, so why did he feel as though he knew where he was going?

As the bear meandered from around one shelf, he saw a chest pushed up against the wall. Light and shadow played a delicate dance, as the tapestry above it flirted with a breeze that occasionally entered the room.

Creeping up to the chest, the young bear shifted so that he was standing on his hind legs. Soft paws touched against the top of the chest. A compulsion to open the top at once overwhelming the cub, as he set to the task of raising the lid.

As Cassius Droma’s worn boot touched the other side of the chasm, the feeling of negative weight became stronger and stronger. He took a few more steps forward, but he froze and his eyes became wide as the bloodcurdling scream of an ancient presence met him full force. It wasn’t with his ears that he heard the shout, but his mind. The presence reached out to them, like outstretched hands, but then suddenly retreated. When Cassius reached out, he couldn’t feel the presence as strongly as he had before, but the emotions of fear and anger still lingered.

Stephanie had asked him if he felt it too, and he gave her a curt nod, a hardened determination in his eyes to mask the worry he felt. It was too strong to not be felt by the other Force-users of the group, and maybe even by those who couldn’t wield it like they could. Although, it didn’t seem that Zora felt anything was wrong, hence her question. “We’ll be fine,” Cassius muttered, although at the moment, he wasn’t sure how true that statement was.

Whatever this was, it had a consciousness. It had felt them, and reacted like an organism would. This bothered the explorer and archaeologist. He’d been to countless sites like this, many of them with a lingering darkness swirling about them.

He’d never felt anything like this before.

His apprehension was so severe that he felt the need to have his lightsaber in his hand, but he didn’t want to alarm any of the others, especially the non-Force users. Instead, he decided to address the newcomer that had asked a question, in order to keep his mind off of what they were getting into. “Not all of them,” Cassius spoke, stealing a glance over his shoulder. “Some are more simple – depends on the era.”

Obliging his fellow explorer, Cassius nodded to Zora as he stepped towards the full entrance to the temple, caution laced with his gait. Retrieving his fist-sized beam light, he flicked it on and pointed it inside. The very first thing the light fell upon was the skeleton of what he could only assume was a Sharukan Jedi. Not an uncommon sight for him, but it did nothing to assuage his growing apprehension. Stepping near it, he took care to not touch it – he didn’t need to be assailed with visions at this time.

There seemed to be a diagonal cut through the rib cage… possibly from a lightsaber. Sighing, he pointed his light further down the hallway, and illuminated even more bones, some of them so mixed up it was hard to tell how many separate organisms had died in that particular spot.

It had been a slaughter.

His light seemed to glint in a few places… bits of jewelry, it seemed. Necklaces, rings, that sort of thing. He’d have to collect one for study later. As for now, they needed to continue further.

The long hallway they had entered eventually led to a large chamber, which seemed to be the center of the complex. Large staircases came down from three other hallways into the room so large that their footsteps would echo around it. Cassius had to crane his neck just to see the top of the dome. Reaching to his belt, he unclipped his datapad and held it in his hand. If they needed to activate anything else, they’d probably need the holographic camouflage again.

After a moment’s consideration, he handed the device to Zora. “Want to give it a try?” he asked. Unlike the intrepid explorer, Zora seemed to be cooped up inside all day doing analysis instead of field work. Just seeing her look at this place in wide-eyed wonder, Cassius wanted to make this experience the best one for her as possible. He got to do this stuff all the time – maybe someone else could do it for a change.

Iturizu Yuvie

Be carfule what you wish for
Objective: What ever [member="Varindar Asyt"] is doing
Post: 1

Why had Yuvie some here? who knew, but regardless of the causes, some wild Jakku adventure the Sith had wound up helping miss hotel owner with extermination, not very exciting, but at least there would be no duplicating dark saber knock off or large scale battles. Still it did feel a little nice to get back into the covert ops sort of business even it it was Jedi, though to be honest that was not really a problem anymore. The only thing that made Yuvie a Sith was his adherence to the code, but beyond that the Mirialan was very un-sith like, probably more akin to the light sith of the old republic then anything else. Though this dd not mean it was all sunshine and rainbows, when needed he would take up the stereotypical role that his 'kind' would use, but for the most part Yuvie was more a grey then anything else, even if he did not like being called that.

Though now the Mirialan was waiting for a signal to drop some gas canisters, the small whisper coming over the encrypted comm on que, 'shells away hostel, putting them to sleep', if Yuvie did not know any better he would assume this Asyt woman was in special forces. The main thing that tipped things off being the woman's wide birth of combat and lack of military call signs, but behind that quite the stealthy cloak and dagger person, something he quite liked.

The stealth destroyer came out of hyperspace.. they had been following the padawan from Jakku. Her vision led them here and she had managed to get the information about the Silver Jedi operations while she sat there. "Alright, we are here, padawan I would make sure you are healed. We will be dropping out of stealth mode soon." She couldn't reach out and tel others she was here with the force, the ship was force dead on the exterior. She sat there in the command chair as the high back encased her almost and the holograms moved around showing other ships and connected with their internal and external BAC's. FOr protecting the ship and for working against enemy formations.

She was sitting there in her uniform and looked professional enough but well she couldn't deny how... unprofessional Jakku had been... it was supposed to be quiet and stealthy and suddenly became a massive firefight. THankfully she had the transports loaded to the brim with slaves that had been rescued and they were now fed, clothed and scanned for tracking devices. Specifically when she was moving around the admiral clasped her fingers in front of herself seeing the displays for the interior of the ship itself. The one slave they had managed to rescue she had gotten a room and some equipment. She was force sensitive, she was a former imperial pilot.

THat made something for her... she wanted to try and help her. That the girl seemed to be lost a little with the death of her emperor well it only meant that there was a chance she was looking for something to follow and believe in maybe. Or some place out fo the cold that is being ronin. So Sala'dine was looking to offer that or at the least she could have some new clothing.. a better Jedi Ace Flightsuit, Jedi Ace Helmet and Jedi Ace Emergency Unit to go with her equipment. THe admiral had gotten her a small selection and sent it to her a Ranger's Field Pistol, Ranger's Combat Knife and Sasori Cracken that would give her a number of pieces of equipment for herself.

"Disengaging stealth mode Admiral." The chiss officer on her bridge spoke and the patrol destroyer appeared, sleek black design with Tengu coming from the hanger. It didn't have much but she had been working to upgrade it little by little with more features. "Tengu squadron head out and provide support, any ships unauthorized I want tagged and tracked before engagement." She got nods from the crew as they relayed the orders with speed and accuracy. She knew there was something in the belly of the ship. Under escort and monitoring because they claimed to be sith but undercover for the Galactic Alliance. She wasn't taking chance but also not going to outright be hostile to them.
