Light, Overshadowed (Nickolas)

Aerin smiled genuinely. She shrugged. "Why not? I've got nowhere to go anyway. And besides, I'm getting kind of attached to the ship," She said, winking back at Nick. then, she carefully placed the egg back into the chest, patting it gently. "We'll see you soon."

I smiled as she said that she would help me. Placin the egg in the chest. I smiled at her. Something told me that there was somethin else. But since I kind of knew all about her life. It was a little difficult. "Thanks for that."

I could only look at her questioning about what she was asking when I realized that she was asking about something else as well. I shook my head, "why do you think I would be thanking you? I can tell you now that it was defiantly not about the arguing match back outside." I said with a chuckle. Sitting up so then I could look at her directly. "What do you mean by that?"

Aerin thought for a moment, confused by her own question. What did she mean by that? Was there something that she felt, but didn't know about? She shrugged, a little embarrassed. "I honestly don't know. It just came out of me. Sorry..."

I smiled as she the. Questioned herself. "Don't worry I forgive you for forgetting." looking at her I raised my head, "Is there anything you want to do now that you are alone for a while?"

While yes she could do just about anything, she now had the time to simply do whatever she wanted without Jen getting in the way. And well, that might be alittle scary for going out of the norm for her.

Aerin's thoughts raced at this question. There were so many things! She could look n the mirror without any snarky comments, she could eat without anyone complaining, she could think without having anyone to judge her. She could even sleep! Of everything she thought of, however, one distinct activity came to mind. She hadn't meditated since Jen had entered her body. It had been too long ago for her to remember how it felt. She looked down at the floor. "If it's alright with you, I'd like to meditate. It's been so long since I've gotten to," She said nervously.

I nodded my head as she said that she wanted to meditate. I understood the feeling of wanting to be alone, and how she had spent many years with another person stuck in her mind, I stood up and as I handed my right hand to her, helping her get up should she need it, and leading her out of the room and into the hall. I then pointed with my left hand to the closest door on the left, "That room there is a training room of mine. it will be a better place to be in then just a bedroom."

Aerin took his hand and let him lead her to the training room. She smiled. "Thanks. It shouldn't be very long, since I'm more than a little rusty," She said. Then she stepped into the room, letting the door slide shut behind her. She took her position in the center of the room. Closing her eyes, she let her mind drift into the Force for the first time in many years. The dead spoke to her again. They sounded happy to see her once more. She was as well. Because of Jen, she couldn't talk to other spirits for fear of losing control of her body. She greeted familiar faces, and faces that were new to her. For a few hours, Aerin immersed herself in the Force, letting the spirits guide and counsel her. Finally she opened her eyes. She felt rejuvenated like she' just awakened from a long sleep. She stood up, and headed back to the cockpit.

I let her walk in. I had decided that while she would be doing that, I might as well get some sleep here in hyperspace. Movng to my cabin, I closed the door with a press of the button on the wall. Sliding shut I moved to the bed and slimpped down. Letting myself fall asleep.

Aerin let Nick sleep, not wanting to be rude. She picked up a datapad near the pilot's controls and decide to search the holonet for a while. With Jen gone, she could finally read with out her constant backtalk. She relaxed into the pilot's chair and started reading about planets found beyond the outer rim. Maybe she'd end up going there. She didn't know. Anything was possible with her.

Not really sleeping. You ever have that feeling when you feel exhausted, and then when you go to lay down, you are suddenly wide awake? well thats how I felt. Just sitting there. Hearing the door open for Aerin to leave the room a few hours later to head towards the cockpit. But even then, I did not get up. I only messed around with a casing for a slugthrower. Flipping it around my finger. Only wondering how she was doing without the second voice in her head.
