Lost Causes

Here was harmless she never forced herself on anyone but there were some things about being a zeltron that she could not deny. They shunned bad feelings promoting good feelings another reason being in the medical field would be difficult. She didn't understand all of Orick's reaction until it dawned on her that he may prefer men.

That was not uncommon she had not thought of it till then. It explained a lot she would not embarrass him by asking.

"If it is not dance it will be fine I miss music and would love to hear some and thank you about Naboo. Do you want to play cards until we reach there?" So many things they could do. Thoughts of home made her long for it.

"I hope it is peaceful enough for you to see my home." Bree swayed back and forth closing her eyes, ",why do you work for the republic?"

[member="Orick T'ane"]

He sighed as he got a bit of distance between them, she was definitely affecting him somehow and he needed to focus for a second. He finally found the music player and turned it on. The music that came out was a vibrant slow song, the words were in a language that he didn't speak, but the tone had promises of good times embedded in them that could be felt regardless of understanding. " Breanna, I have a standing rule about getting involved with clients. Right now you're a client, boy do I wish you weren't, but you are." She could easily tell that his eyes roamed her body, his code the only thing keeping him away.

"It's not much to dance to but I enjoy it. Don't ask he what they are singing out or who it's but. It's one of those songs that you happen across that just sticks with you." He nods as she thanks him. " No need for thanks. Naboo is an amazing place, I am a firm believer in sight seeing if there is time. Cards yes, that works."

He smiled and pulled out an old worn set of sabbac cards and heads back to the table. " It happened by accident. I was smuggling some supplies to a rebel group on Mannan and the Republic was there first. I acted quickly and offered to aid them, offering my supplies and my ship, that way then didn't impound my ship and arrest me for smuggling." He sits back down at the table and begins to shuffle the cards. " They paid well, which helps, and I got a chance to help those that needed it. One of their admirals offered to keep me on retainer in case similar situations came up." He shrugged. " You said you just wanted to help, well believe me when I say that the look on some of those faces as the Republic took back planets from the Sith, I'd do it again no hesitation. If I'm free and they ask for my help, I will go help." The explanation made perfect sense to him, but it wasn't a common trait for a smuggler to drop everything at the request of anyone, especially authority figures. He looked up at her as she swayed in place, eyes closed and just shuffled the cards, he was in no hurry to interrupt her. He just sat and hoped he didn't fumble through the cards. " I'd love to see your home."

Bree continued to sway to the music listening to Orick and then to the underlying hum of the music played. “So when I’m not a client you won’t be so tense?” She didn’t wait for an answer well that did answer that he was NOT into men.

Bree felt so silly at times but music, “Music touches everyone Orick something about the sound seems to touch into the center of our souls and fill our minds with images and emotions” She smiled she was seeing home Zeltros pink like some of her natives sons and daughters. Warm, welcoming, parties everywhere for every kind of species. Fun. Music. Lights. Dancing. Gaming. Pleasure for the mind and the body.

“A boxing match, with cold ales the sounds of the people cheering, oh gosh Orick there is so much fun to be had!” Every night on Zeltros was like a night when ships come in from a long time in space, the men are lusty and in need of a drink, the women wanting and looking for a bath.

She stopped swaying, and then sat across from Orick. She was finally warming enough to take off the outer layer of her clothing, placing it on another seat. The thick cover had been to keep out the cold of space and now she sat in what was considered traditional Zeltron clothing. A black halter style top that clung to her snugly while many of her kind wore neon colors, Bree preferred black she felt it made her look more appealing. She pushed back her hair curling it behind her ears. She still wore black pants with tiny black flats.

“Zeltrons are gamers Orick, so what shall we play for?” Keeping in mind her limited credits she would have to be careful what the wager was. “Is there something cold to drink?” She would have to stock his drinks back up for certain.

He nods, " Yes, once you are no longer a client, all things are fair game." He watched her as she describes the music, the way she talked about ti was so different that what he thought about when he heard the song. He wondered if it was something about her people that made the connection to music different.

She was a vibrant being, everything about her was filled with life, and the more she talked the more it seemed to fill him with that same sense of fun and enjoyment. She stopped dancing and it was all that he could do to not openly stare at her. She began to take her tight suit off and he couldn't help but notice. The black top she wore was a bold contrast to her skin. It drew the eye, his eye, to her body. if she was aware of what she was doing, of the effect it had on him while he sat there watching her, she didn't notice.

" I...drinks.... yeah I have something that should work," He stood and went to the small cold box on the wall and pulled out two bottles. " Alderaanian ale?" He holds up the bottles and smiles, trying to distract himself as much as her. " I have no idea what to play for, unless you have a stash of credits on you, that is. In case you haven't noticed, I'm not exactly living the high life. So we shall go with 'ladies choice' for what is wagered." He had a feeling he would regret the decision.

When she wasn't a client. She could accept that and besides he did seem to want to know her as a person not just a Zeltron. Everyone thought they knew Zeltrons. She smiled at him happy with all that she had assumed.

She had not acted in such a way to arouse his interest she was hot, and needed relief. She exhaled as she cooled, her eyes closed briefly as a smile of deep content spread across her face.

Orick seemed a bit flustered she wondered what she had done, was she still shedding pheromones like candy? She wasn't sure, but she did know this. The ship was small and it would not take long for it to become filled with pheromones it was not something that she was doing deliberately it was merely a matter of fact.

"Alderaanian ale is perfect. Shame what happen to them, they are in worse shape than Zeltros. Have you traveled there?" She was also a very curious person.

She took one of the bottles from him as she pondered what could they play for, "Noooo." She grinned, "nothing stashed you can search me if you like." She said it as a way to reply to him, not knowing that considering the way she looked right now searching her would require him to touch her, and...if they were going to be agent and client. His touching her, might break that rule.

"Ladies choice" she repeated oh, oh..she could do things with that. She sat back giving him the come hither look and then she broke it off leaning on the table, her arms resting crossed in front of her. Her upper body leaned on her arms showing how much woman she was at least in that respect.

"It will have to be something that is free. Should not be real dangerous" She was stalling a bit for time, everything she thought of dealt with touching. But it was innocent, and it would only go as far as he would allow himself to go. "For every hand I win, you give me a kiss. For every hand you win......what do you want?" She wanted to be fair, she could have said let's play strip.

[member="Orick T'ane"]

He watched her intently, her every move was pure seduction. She may not have been trying, but it didn't take much to focus his attention towards her. He shook his head, " I haven't been to Alderaan, I hear the Republic has a base they are setting up there. I think perhaps it's due for a resurgence." He smiled and laughed slightly at her suggestion of searching her. He was trying very hard to maintain his professional approach with her, but it was getting harder to want to do anything but sweep her up in his arms.

She seemed to realize it as well, because she seem to take great pleasure in making him aware of just how incredible she looked wearing the clothing she had on, and her suggestion was designed to incite a reaction of that there was no doubt. " I don't know if you have thought that one through or not, because with that reward for you, I have no reason to want to win." His voice was steady, but his eyes were focused on her, they dipped to her lips and to her body, pressed forward on the table, the gaze unmistakable. " I don't think I can mention that while you are my client. However I'll ask that for every game I win, you give me a good reason why you haven't become a medic yet. One valid reason other than the excuses you have given me. Deal" He smiles at her and knows that he would be throwing more than one game of cards today.

[member="Orick T'ane"]

She looked at him trying to decide if this was a good bet. It could go badly or it could be revealing. She reached over and stroked the back of his hand as she breathed slow and steady . She wiggled under his gaze she liked this flirty touch but don't touch game. She could play it. "Remember I am athletic and very flexible I can put my foot behind my head." She smiled again.

"You might want to lose but I think you're competitive and want to win." She leaned a little more forward her assets bulges against the table, "I want you to lose, I give kisses that will take your breath away. "

This was a fun game "Orick I will take that bet, want to give it to me?" She arched a brow, "you can slide it to me" her other hand held out for the cards.

Oh the fun she would have.

He shuffled the cards carefully, he knew that she was teasing him now. She wasn't trying to be coy about it, she was gauging his reactions to her movements and words carefully. She made sure that he was well awake of the risks of winning. Even if I win I lose. She's just making sure that I realize that I could have gotten more out of it if I wanted. His thoughts drifted to his own rules of involvement with clients and he cursed himself for having them.

Her touch causes him to fumble with the cards, his steady hands seemingly unable to complete the simple task, " You're right i hate to lose, even if losing is a breathtaking kiss from you." He began deal the cards out, alternation between them, sliding one her way and dropping one lightly in front of him until they each had a full hand. He put the deck down and picked up his cards. His eyes gazed across them as he inspected them, his body not betraying the frown that his mind got when he realized he would probably lose the first game regardless. With cards like these I don't need to throw games to lose.

[member="Breanna Volsh"]

Bree just sat there with the same little smile on her face as she looked over the cards he dealt to her. One moment tilting her head one way and then the other as she looked at the cards, this was a very interesting game they had set up for themselves to play.

But in some ways it would have them to learn about one another. Forgetting the different species aspect that was the most obvious difference but in their personalities, their desires of the day, and perhaps their sense of adventure.

She bit her lip as she though an unconscious habit. Perhaps they should have played twenty questions, but there was no risk in that, a game of chance provided risk. The right side of Bree's mouth curved upwards as she thought about that.

Then she figured she would tell him something else that was a truth, "Kisses with me are more than breath taking, I have a telepathic ability that allows me to share my emotions, and at times project images. So when I kiss you, you can see and feel what I do. So if I am full of lust and desire you can feel it and see what I'd like to do to you" She moved a card around, and then put one out. Drawing another card. She was a creature of pleasure but she was not a creature that slept around as much as other zeltrons. Why was that?

Was she playing his mind so he would lose?

[member="Orick T'ane"]

He sighed, holding his cards tightly in his hands. One finger was tapping at the tops of the cards as he tried not to look up at her. She was teasing him and there was nothing he could do to stop it. He flipped through his cards again, his mouth a small frown. " You could have not told me that, that's worse than cheating. You are making sure that I want to lose." He smiled slightly at her as he watched her draw a card.

He tried to gauge her reaction, seeing if there was a way to find her tell; the slight change in her that would allow him to gain insight into her hand. He dropped one card and replaced it, his eyes squinting slightly as he finally gained a card that could help.

[member="Breanna Volsh"]

She tried not to smile too much, she looked over the top of her cards at Orick. "it is true I could have said nothing, but it would be deceiving for me not to tell you too. But." She looked through the cards, playing with their order.

Puckering her lips, then biting the lower one, "I wouldn't want to be deceiving you." She looked at the card he tossed and then to the ones she needed. She took one from her hand and laying it down, taking another from the deck.

She still smiled at him. "I hear they have beaches on Naboo, I've never swam in a lake or the oceans. I would like to do that, if we can" She truly had never see the world of Naboo. She heard the stories though, endless grassy plains, water falls, cities so elegantly designed it left one breathless.

She leaned a little not thinking about what it was doing to her form, "Orick is it true what they say about the Gungans?"

[member="Orick T'ane"]

He nodded as she explained why she was honest with him. She was growing on him, not just because she was stunning but she had this appeal that was so hard to find in a galaxy filled with rogues. " I can appreciate you're honesty and I gsin nothing by proving I am no better than the rest of the Galaxy by deciding you."

" Our timetable on Naboo is as flexible as you want it to be. I'm sure we can find time to visit one of the many tourist spots that they have. There are several wonderful coastal cities that have ocean access." He focused on his cards again as he dropped another dud card and swapped it out for one off of the pile. His frown returned, the card he had picked up was worse than the one he discarded. He shrugged and dropped his cards on the table," Alright, how badly did you beat me?" His cards were an even spread of suits and numbers. Nothing looked remotely promising

He tilted his head" what about Gungans?" He was curious about what she had heard about them.

Oh now in what order to handle all of this she watched as his cards hit the table.

She felt a bit giddy like having won the lottery, "Since we are both nearly broke, I think we should go swimming on Naboo." She wished she could read minds instead of feel the emotions that rolled off people so easily. She could tell one thing, he liked her and having told him what her species could do seemed to have endeared her to him further. That made her feel good.

She laid her down, she had three black ones, and a few red ones, "I was trying to make them all match" She made a face she looked at him, "Are you wanting to have lost to me?" She inched across the table, tilting her head. "I think you should just kiss me and have it out of the way" She smiled and was very matter of fact.

"Gungans live under water all the time?" She wet her lips and puckered up, not knowing what to expect she also closed her eyes.

He chuckled slightly as she suggested going swimming, " If that is what you want to do, the I'm fine with it. Swimming is great for the body, and Naboo has some really nice places to swim." He watch as her cards hit the table, it was a pile of crap cards, just like his were, but hers were just a bit better of a pile of crap.

He watched her closely as she leaned forward, she was matching things alright. He couldn't deny that the idea of kissing her was overwhelmingly appealing, and he had tried to remain as professional as he could, which was longer than any other sane being would. He thought as she asked about the Gungans while closing her eyes. He sighed deeply and leaned forward a bit, he should have come up with a better idea for a bet instead of letting her choose. She was a Zeltron after all, they weren't crazy for intimate contact, but they enjoyed it as much for their pleasure as for the pleasure they gave. A pleasure he was soon going to find out first hand.

He leaned forward, his body meeting hers halfway across the tiny table as his lips gently brushed hers.

[member="Orick T'ane"]
She felt the warmth of his breath first, so he was going to kiss her. She still did not open her eyes she pressed her lips against his. The sensation of the contact radiated from the point of contact througout her being.

She did not press further. Pleasure is many things, taking many forms. And while she could have at the moment made a move to take this to more, she instead just kissed him softly enjoying it. She pulled back, "Thank you Orick" her blue eyes still half closed as the rush of pheromones filled her and drifted into the room. "Pleasure comes in many forms Orick, a simple kiss given emotes much pleasure between two of like mindedness. Intimacy while an ultimate pleasure can always, and should always be built up to." Her blue eyes now looked over directly at him ensuring that her image was all he saw.

She kissed him again this time using her telepathy relaying soft warmth like a warm bath that one enjoyed for long periods under candle light and long lingering touches. Then she pulled back again.

"I look forward to going swimming on Naboo, do you wish to play another hand"

Her lips were soft and warm, every breath was filled with her fragrant scent. She didn't press the first kiss for long at all. Her voice radiated throughout him, his pulse quickened as she leaned back, her face was angelic and he was stunned for a second by the sight of her. His mind raced faster than a ship traveling through hyperpace, her very presence was intoxicating, he knew rationally that her pheromones were affecting him and he was losing the fight to control himself around her.

Her second kiss was unexpected and it filled him with a warmth that he had never felt before. It was heavenly and intimate without being erotic. She was being gentle with him and for that he wad grateful, because he wouldn't have been able to stop himself if she pressed him further. He radiated happiness and an obvious lust for her. As she pulled back from him, he stumbled out of the seat and stood, his legs seemed unsteady underneath him. " That was... Incredible, and way too tempting. I'm thinking that we should stop with the cards now. I think maybe I need to check on the ship." He says as he takes a deep breath.

She nodded she could see a slight flush to his cheeks she looked down for only a moment to give him time to compose himself. She looked back up and blushed slightly herself when he said it was incredible.

You must do what you must Orick. We will arrive at Naboo soon I believe. She did not feel guilt or embarassed. She felt warm and alive. She could have pressed him for more but the truth is what she wanted. Was someone who wanted her, not because she could get them through the use of pheromones but because they wanted her because she was who she was. But she had needed the kiss the feelings of wonder of the unknown. The pleasure of the first contact that would fulfill her needs for a bit. She could relive the memory until she needed another dose.

By then they could be at Naboo and there were sure to be hundreds all in a good mood to feed her need for positive thoughts and emotions. She sat down again, picking up the cards.

I will give you some space Orick, time for your head to clear. I know the pheromones can be...overwhelming. She began to shuffle the cards, even with sabacc cards she still knew a few games of solitaire.

He stared at her as she sat at the table, she was an amazing creature in many ways, she was funny and clever and she had a depth to her that she hid well behind the exterior of her races stereotypes. He knew he was in trouble the longer he was with her, the type of trouble that would hurt forever. " I believe I need to make sure that the ship is still on it'c course heading and maybe freshen up a bit. A quick nap might do both of us some good, once we land on Naboo things will get a bit busy."

He smiled as she offered him the space he desperately needed to get his head on right, he just needed time to let it all soak in. the last couple of hours were a blur, she had been a welcome distraction to the normal routine of his trips. She was also responsible for him almost breaking his rule about professional space. He has never been as close to breaking his rules before, but she had stopped when she knew she didn't, that in itself intrigued him. There was much more to her than she let people see.

" Thanks for understanding, and for the company." He said with a genuine smile on his face before walking out and back to the cockpit.

[member="Orick T'ane"]
I will take a nap I could use one. He smiled, she smiled back. Thanks for offering to help me. Her eyes were filled with joy something perhaps in time he would understand. WE must not get off course Orick, straying from the path you set before you, or us might lead to a place neither of us are prepared to handle.

A nap once Orick had disappeared to go forward she did do just that head in to take a nap. How long had it been since she had slept without the concern of someone trying to break in the door. How long was it now since the Shadows? She knew they would not look for her, least she did not think they would. She knew very little about anything regarding their activities, thus making her a non threat.

She had left the cards on the table spread out from the low card to the high card. An indication again start off softly and work your way to the grand prize.

With the quarters allotted to her she removed her clothing and laid down. The cold of space was there cooling her off and settling her emotions. She could think of nothing but Orick at the moment. He was not like other men of his species. Most human males would have sweated and grunted taking payment from her as they desired. Orick had done none of those things, and when she kissed him he had not felt all lust and want. There was curiosity, wonder and she knew he did not see a pink zeltron.

Finally when she felt exhausted she fell into a deep sleep, a much needed sleep where her dreams were filled with the raspy sounding voice that seemed to be quite urgent about something she needed to do.

Finally alone in the cockpit, Orick chuckled to himself as he checked the nav-computer to make sure that nothing had changed. In reality there was almost no chance of that happening but he really needed an excuse to get away from her. He sat down and thought about what she had said about straying from the path. She's right on that, the path we set out on was dangerous enough. His thoughts wandered all over the place, the simple life he lived, the dangers of what he smuggled, the Sith. but they always drifted back to her.

Her mind was dangerously sharp, She's no fool. I wonder what she did before she ended up on that desert, armpit of a planet. He wanted to ask her about it but he didn't she seemed to not like tot talk about negative things. He wondered if he could find a way to work it into a casual conversation. Perhaps when we're on Naboo, she'll be in a much better mood then.

He sighed again as he sat in the pilots chair and propped his feet up on the console. His thoughts remained muddied and chaotic, even as he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
