Moonlight Lekku

Now that would sound to the Rogue as if it was a little bit crazy. What do he mean he could go somewhere else? For a moment, Choli was struck a bit dumb. However, after a second she would recall the sessions of meditation that would prompt a sort of... connection through the Force.

Granted, Choli always had trouble with anything mental. At least, like telepathy, or having anyone try to sway her mind. Mindtricks didn't stick. Nor did illusions. What she didn't know is that while she had believed it to be a natural knack, it was actually due to her being an Epicanthix. Something that the girl hadn't yet determined herself to be.

However, if it was sort of projecting herself out.... maybe... maybe that would work? She shut her eyes, concentrating. It was more difficult for her than for Trextan it seemed, but that was just due to biology.

...I am not sure if this is even working....

Her voice was a gentle whisper. Having to concentrate and focus to decipher was she was trying to convey seemed to anchor him where he was. The pull back to his body lessened.

It was odd. Here he could get a sense of at least emotion, if not thought from those around him. But not Choli. He has to tune out the background noise.

Yes, it is. Just. You're very quiet. Are you trying to close yourself off?

It wasn't that she was closing herself off, just that these sort of things were already difficult for her to grasp. She could feel the Force and she could manipulate it, but when it came to anyone projecting towards her in her mind, that was a big static feed. If she could meditate and maybe push past that and outward, she was able to sense more than really interact.

No...just, this stuff has always been hard for me it went to show that Trextan was better at this than she was.

are you meditating?

You could call it that I suppose. He felt a little flare of irrational panic that he was dead and disembodied. That was silly. There would have been medics rushing out. He took heart in the fact that she hadn't told him to go away yet.

Most of the waiting room faded away. His world was a narrow space centered on the pilot. He could still hear the faint whirring of the machine.

More sort of...Cowardice.

Mild humor coated concern. It was more emotions than thoughts that would pass through. I take it you don't like narrow places? He had said he didn't like the tight tunnel, but now it was beginning to feel as if he might be claustrophobic.

That he even admitted that much was a bit surprising, which also floated along over to the young Justicar. The Medical scanner continued on its little hum, the medics observing the results.

I'm alright he replied promptly. As he turned towards it, the door and all the warning signs came into focus.

"Won't be long now..." He heard faintly.

Well... No, I don't particularly enjoy it. Silly really I suppose. He added. Trextan decided his first statement was too obviously a cover, so a little honesty seemed prudent. You're not bothered being in there?

I fly in tiny, tight cockpits. more humor came bubbling through the connection. It was so weird. New, interesting, but strange. Meditation never really felt like this before. Then again, having anyone attempt to use telepathy fell flat with her. Was this different?

so what exactly are you doing to do... this.

That is a very good question. he replied. Trextan couldn't feel her emotions directly, but she could convey them to him it seemed. If he concentrated beyond her, to the way the Force moved around her, he could feel the way it shifted as she thought.

I managed to leave it behind briefly on Skor, when I was out cold. But I didn't move away from myself. I just sort of stayed in the same place but saw the Force and not the physical. Then of course he had snapped awake and punched his way through the canopy of her shuttle.

I have a feeling that if I think too much about it I'll end up losing it. I can still hear the machine. I'll go back when it's done.

so wait, you don't even know how you are doing this? her surprise, disbelief and amusement trickled through. The Force certainly worked in mysterious ways. More so if Trextan was able to without really knowing.

so you just decided to come float over here? now she was curious.

so how does it feel? for her, it was hard just doing .., well whatever she was doing.

He considered that question for a moment. It feels like being with the Force. I can feel it. Settled most of the time, but it moves around people. I sort of see it…

Trextan decided he didn't want to try and explain that it looked like a field of wheat. He was also aware that whenever he focused too hard on what was around him the tug back towards his body become more insistent.

But I can see the real world. Can you see you. Erm. But it's rather strange having all, like. Well you're not normally aware of things like breathing, but having all the normal stuff fade even further away. That's a bit strange. Peaceful. Compared to the tube anyway.

Hearing him -or was it just sensing him? - explain it was interesting. It was a bit of a strain to maintain whatever it was, but choli had never really been good at meditation. Maybe that's why she was really only able to do a few things with the Force. At the very least, it appeared that Trextan had a more structure set of training than she ever did. With Chloe and Jan it had been more exploring and learning about different cultures, worlds, and more practical application.

this is a bit hard for me to maintain she admitted as he had done the same with his own fear. i've never been really good with things like telepathy or mindtricks.

"We're just going to focus in on something Trextan, is that okay?"

"He's fast asleep I think, just carry on."

Sorry, he apologised. He felt guilt on two fronts. Firstly it still felt slightly voyeuristic to linger here where she couldn't see him and he was also pushing her concentration.

You don't mind carrying on? just a tremor of discomfort filtered through the connection. He considered offering to stay and talk whilst she had her scan, but given that she wasn't bothered by the prospect it would have seemed a weak repayment.

Choli felt a slight tug at that. Considering everything and how she had felt a bit alone and confused when she first woke up on Polis Massa, the least she could do was keep Trextan company. Besides, she did enjoy it.

Yeah, it's fine. she assured him. Just had to focus. His uneasiness went drifting through, and Choli wondered what else she could do to keep him distracted.

Umm.... so what else can you do?

Oh clarity would be nice. With the Force that is.

I mostly learned with the Sith, he admitted again. It was quite a narrow focus. Minor mind tricks, telekinesis, creating barriers. Also some darker things I hopefully won't ever do again. There was a heavy focus on personal combat. What about you? It was fascinating to feel you stretch out your senses at the helm of a ship

What could I do? Choli mulled over that. Well she began, and in reality, she bit her lower lip. Help with flying -- more like letting myself feel how everything is moving, I guess. Minor tweaks with electronics. Got a knack for fixing them. Chloe always did say that had something to do with it.

There were other things too. Can flash learn things pretty quickly. Also can work on less sleep and still be aware of my surroundings. Probably nothing as fancy as whatever Trextan had been taught.

Ah the arm, he recalled her fascination with it. She'd feel a touch of his humour as he remembered chastising her for tickling him. There were supposedly still some scanners that didn't work if you had implants in or prosthetics. The Force can help you learn things quickly? That sounds incredibly useful. How hard was that to learn?

Slower than everything else was after. This time, Choli did chuckle aloud, prompting another curious glance from one of the medics. The whir of the machine would increase in sound over Trextan, they were double checking the connections around his shoulder and his cybernetic now.

Umm, know some close quarter combat. Teras Kasi and such.

Well at least they didnt ask what was funny, Trextan relayed as he I watched the medic return to their forms.

You know I don't even know what I was taught in that respect. Some knife and staff work. There was a sense of Trextan becoming contemplative. They'd mostly shown them some basics and then let them go for each other whilst they shouted instruction. Oh. I think they're nearly done.

He snapped back to his body a little more suddenly than he'd expected. The rush of sensation was strong. His heart rate elevated slightly as he realised he was still encased.

"Ah you're back," he heard a doctor over a speaker. "Neat Jedi meditation trick. You didn't even hear us asking questions." Trextan didn't reply. He just wanted out.

"One second," Trextan asked the orderly as he was pushed out of the scanner. Choli was now being pushed in toward the room by another. His artificial hand gripped the arm of her chair. She seemed so calm, he wished he hadn't let on how much of a coward he was. Or what channel he sometimes watched on his datapad.

He leaned over and whispered in a conspiratorial tone: "When I left they hadn't found the food yet"
