Moonlight Lekku

Choli couldn't help the low snerk at his playful protest. "It saves us both time and breath if you just go for it." She added, chuckling.

Sobering a bit, choli gave a twist of her lips, pondering how this could be done. By all accounts she was on medical leave, but as soon as she was discharged, she'd be reassigned back into her Squadron and expected to check in.

"Well," her left knee gave a small side to side sway. "It really depends on where you want to go. Different times and distances. " tash Taral was completely different from going to the Sullust jedi academy caverns.

“It would be an adventure,” he proclaimed boldly. He pulled a mock grimace. “Just as long as we don't end up back in another hospital together. I think if that happened for a third time we could agree that perhaps there are gods and they're trying to send us a message.” His kept his eyes mostly on hers, but couldn't help notice how he knees drawn up accentuated her hips and thighs. She was at least entertaining the idea. Seriously, he hoped.

“But this is going to be important for me, I think,” he offered honestly once more. That might have been a touch of Choli brushing off on him already. At the very least he'd learned that if he edged around a subject she would notice and bludgeon her way in anyway.

“I need to be done with everything that came from that dark place. Not Sullust though. Where else is close?”

Now he was making her think. Thinking made her hungry; enter the munching of her half eaten sandwich again.

"There's a few worlds I know, some within Alliance space." Really just what Chloe had told her before and what she'd read.

"But that's like asking which planets have air." That prompted a half chuckle. "I can only have so much shore leave." Which is what she'd have to request if it would take them further out

"I could ask."

A pause. "Wouldn't your father-- um, Master Voidstalker know?"

He took his cue from Choli and turned to a tub with some snacks in it. They were heavy little bakes he didn't recognise. A little like flapjacks but with a bit more crunch and some spices he didn't recognise. He nodded in approval though as he cupped one hand under his chin to catch crumbs.

He nodded slowly.

"He would, yes. There are a few other Jedi around the place we could accost, but he would know. And it's alright to call him that," he added with a shrug. "I mean...He is." Trextan turned to one of those memories he'd buried down. A rich baritone voice singing him to sleep.

He shuffled his hips away from Choli a little so he could turn to face her better. "So you'll really think about it if we find a close enough place to go?" He asked enthusiastically.

"Well..." Choli began, drawing herself up after setting the earbud back down on her lap. Her finger rose, moving over to pause the holo series show. They'd already missed quite a few minutes of it anyways.

"Depends." she was just being silly, eyes sparkling with a bit of mischief. "Will you feed me?" a very important question.

"That and," on a more serious note, and a chuckle. "You'll need to find something for me to fly." Choli may be a Rogue, but the X-Wing wasn't hers alone. It wasn't like with Janes and his starfighter.

"I can sort the food," he laughed. He chewed thoughtfully on a sandwiches of slices meat and some kind of pickle dressing.

"I think I can arrange something," he replied. He'd seen a padawan leave with their master on a training exercise in one of the Order's shuttles. "I think there's a pool of unarmed shuttles. I'll sort something." For the first time in a while he was actually determined to go and speak to Jacen as soon as possible. He grabbed the little plastic tub of slices of cake and pastries and offered it over.

Choli would peer curiously at the offered tub of sweets. Growing up on Tatooine meant that there wasn't such a thing as dessert. There were fruits and dried jerky, but nothing as rich as this.

"Is that cake?" so when she finally did try the desserts the mess provided on the Carrier, Choli had become quite taken with it. There was a little roll of pistachio and honey soaked sweet. It appeared to be layered in thin slices of dough.

Sticky fingers were the least of her worries, opting for the roll instead of the cake. "A shuttle is fine." she added, before popping the sweet into her mouth.

A thought came to her then, "Do you--" chew, chew chew and then swallow. A lick of her lips made the pink tip of her tongue sweep over her lower lip.

"Always use the Force that much?" so she hadn't missed his constant use of it.

Trextan found something else to look at quite hurriedly as her tongue swept over her lips.

"Er no, not really," he replied. Oh dear, was she going to point out that she didn't appreciate him showing off? That was going to feel a little awkward. He felt slightly anxious and hoped she didn't think him a fool. "We were on a very important mission," he chuckled, though it was obvious he was slightly nervous beneath that.

"Not like I'm planning on going anywhere dangerous," he shrugged. "Sounds like you got a varied education if you know how to use a lightsaber. So i guess you know how to handle yourself if we do run into trouble anyway. You know I can..." He trailed off, eyes went down to the datapad. "Ah, i just keep digging myself holes."

"Know you can what?.." now she was confused, not quite sure where he was even going with what he was saying. Sometimes guys were weird. Janes, Owen , and every other guy in rogue made that clear.

At least until he seemed to pointedly look down at his datapad; wait was he suggesting...

"What? That you can handle yourself just fine? Figured as much considering you got a whole new arm that won't get tired -- at least I hope that it doesn't glitch mid holoflick."

Her straight face didn't last long. Yes, he had dug himself a hole. At that point she made to grab another piece of sweet to pop it into her mouth, smug satisfied expression ever lingering.

"Oh come on!" he laughed. "That one told itself. You didn't have to poke further."

The grin and shake of his head told her that he didn't mind the ribbing this time. Awkward as it was it was now just a topic for words more than an embarrassing memory.

"Laugh it up! But really, don't joke about the arm. Honestly I'm always a little nervous it could go wrong again," he said, his tone still lighthearted.

He rolled fully onto his side, leaning on his left shoulder to face her. "This has been fun," he declared without warning

It was distinctly difficult to not notice when Trextan shifted to his side. Oh, he might have been in a good mood and yes they were bantering quite a bit, but the obvious was there. The eyes couldn't help but pick up the motion at the edge of her peripheral. All Choli had to try and do is to not let her eyes flicker down while thinking to herself, just, no way....

Janes would have had the best commentary.

"Umm, well you made it pretty easy and I always thought it was the guy doing the poking." The comment was half made in mild embarrassment a well as due to where her mind was going. Her face turned ruddy again.

"Umm, yeah. " emergency stuff your face moment with more food and avoiding eye contact and any low glances.

"Anyways...."

"Erm, yes, right," he replied in quick succession. It seemed as if together they had found the point where the banter went a step too far. He was trying quite hard not to think about having a girl in nightwear in the same bed enough as it was. Perhaps it would have been less embarrassing if he'd actually gotten around to any 'poking' before.

"Shall we hide the er rest of the spoils for tomorrow. Well we can keep some out. Then go back to episode two?" Yes, episodes, he thought to himself. He was already het up from how she'd discovered him and at seventeen had a baseline of 'raging hormones'. He didn't need much encouragement to let his mind wander or to consider that it hadn't been so bad to accidentally end up with her pressed against him twice already. Or to try and turn the memory of her changing into scrubs into a clearer picture...

He slide off the bed fairly promptly and busied his mind with tidying the snacks away, but kept glancing at Choli.

"Yeah, that's fine." With Trextan already getting up to clean up the scattered tubs of left over food prompted the girl to do the same. Crumbs fell as she shifted on the bed from her sandwich, and she did her best to brush them off onto the floor.

"They will likely find it anyways." She added, mentioning the nurses. That amused her. Sliding her legs off the bed so that she could stand, the girl gave a little wince at the soreness on her right leg. It definitely was acting up from her earlier incursion.

Picking up his datapad, she wrapped the headphone cord around it and set it on top of the bedstand next to the monitors and medical holo screens.

"It's been fun." She admitted, helping him with the last bits. Truth be told, she should get back to her own cot. It wasnt a private one like Trextan's, but an open ward. He had it fancy.

"Oh. Okay." Trextan did an appalling job of hiding how disappointing this was to him. She didn't have to go already did she?

His eyes turned up to the clock. It was quite late. In truth he was also quite sore. He'd been sleeping a good Fourteen hours each day in naps as he'd been recovering and his body reminded him how exhausted it still was. But what to say now? He didn't want to sound needy or lonely. That would hardly do.

"Where do you want to break out to tomorrow then? I think there's a roof garden." He spread the food across several drawers in the hope that the nurses wouldn't find it all.

"Hmm?" The dark head of the Rogue rose at the inquiry. For a second, the girl studied Trextan with those exotic color changing eyes, watching him as they went shifting from the standard hazel, to the gold flecked piqued interest, to the jade green of mirth.

"Depends..." she bent down to pick up her trash, the shirt scalloping in front to reveal a brief flash of a shadow of olive curves for a few brief seconds.

"What incentive do I got?" She inquired, amused as she shot a look at him and straightened up.

Trextan's eyes shot up faster than she did. Then he looked away with an "umm." Hard to balance the various notions going through his head and find an appropriate response.

He looks back to Choli with a subtle smile. "I'll figure something out. I promise," he said with absolute conviction. He knew she was being silly, but right now the seventeen year old held the notion that he would make Choli glad to spend time with him as an absolute certainty.

"Even if I have to raid the Rear Admiral's own treatment room for food."

That prompted a quick laugh. "Hah, no, no need to go that far." She told him, padding over to the justicar in training. Her nose gave a slight twitch, a small itch prompting it to wiggle.

"It's fine. " a small hand added in emphasis. "Last thing I need is a court martial." She teased."

As he had been quick to avert his eyes, he was lucky Choli didn't catch his wandering gaze. For now, however, "Anyways, trolley's all yours." A thumb jerked back towards his bed.

"Datapad too." In a parting quip.

"At least I'll get a few hours before another one of those," he said with a shake of the head. Not that he needed the datapad right now. There was enough lodged in his imagination.

"I'll see you tomorrow," he called after her. No smile, no childish grin or chuckle. As she left the exhaustion started to set in. He called the nurse for another painkillers, admitting to himself that he had pushed himself too far. Having decided it would be best to wait until certain she wasn't going to burst in and interrupt him again, instead he ended up falling fast asleep. The noises of the hospital didn't even wake him through the night.

And lo, the evening passed without any more barging in and much to the nurses relief, no breaking out from their ward. In the end, choli slept through the night and replied to a few holo messages first thing in the morning after.

She was an early bird, able to get up at first light. Her leg was even more sore than yesterday and she had no one to blame but herself. A trip to the refresher to wash up was in the cards, so if anyone came looking for her, she would not be at her bed.

There was a nurse waiting for Choli when she came back. She had a repulsor chair waiting by the bed.

"Good morning," she said pleasantly. "Doctors have asked for another scan to check your progress. I'll take you down," she said waving at the chair.
