Kiber stood in front of the console and then tried again; the screen flashed red. He thumped it with his fist in a fit of rage.

"Come on!" he exclaimed, as he tried once more.

All of a sudden, his motion sensors picked something up moving around inside the vessel, and it was coming his way. And as he looked around, the bounty hunter saw a ship approaching.

It can't be!

Kiber got onto his comlink and immediately contacted La La, about his possession of the star-map.

"La La, can you hear me? It's Kiber. And I have the star-map with me," he said into the link.

Harlis eyes widened some as they came out of hyperspace. The number of ships, or what was left of them, drifted amongst the asteroid belt. Her gaze barely left the biggest ship in the field as she acknowledged the newest member. Appeared they were crawling out of the woodwork now.
"So captain. What's the plan?"

La La spoke into the comlink as the transmission came through. "Who the heck is La La?" If the bounty hunter remembered anything, it should have been the name she gave him. "Anyways, now that you have the map, do you know how to get inside?"

"If I knew that, I would already be inside," he said sarcastically over the comlink. "It's sealed tight, unless you know how to work this console. I forgot how many times I've tried to get this damned pattern right," Kiber was starting to get pissed off.

Shaking his head gently, still holding the spike to the receptor as La left. He looked back at Harli and smiled. "Hopefully, we go through the front door." The harmonic sound from the spike seemed to slowly amplify to others, but Olan was none the wiser. Probably bad hearing.

"If not, there is always...alternatives. But that puts us all in even greater danger." He stops and waits a few moments before he says softly. "More than I already am putting you through..." Worry laced his words, be it about himself and played off for them or was it for them alone? That was yet to be seen.

Or heard, rather.

The door which Kiber had been working on would lock him out another time, making him wait some more as he contacted La. But there was also the other two options from before. Blow or hack your way in.

La though might see something different. With her flying about the ship she would see that towards the front of the ship, below the bridge, where a gunnery and communications room most likely was-there was a big rend in the armor of the ship. It looked like a larger asteroid must have collided with the ship there at one point, leaving a few gaping openings to what looked like the internals of the ship.

From Kibers position, he could get there quite quickly by traversing the underbelly of the ship and coming out on the other side if that was their plan of action.

She huffed gently once over the comlink, flying her ship steadily a little closer to the bounty hunter. Even though the security on the ancient ship looked threatening, she didn't get all too close and personal. "You have the map, that's good. If we can find a steady asteroid we can trade for the credits. You do want that, right?"

Kiber thought for a few seconds and then reached his decision. "Alright, let's find us an asteroid and make the exchange..." he replied. And then hopefully the exchange would be said and done, so he could return to shadow them inside the ship and see what was in there.

"I want you to understand something. Some of my employers are watching, so I have to make it look like I'm giving you a firm beating. You want to fight, bounty hunter?" She readied her ship, flying around to land on an asteroid. There she saw it, the hole in the ship. Right after she was done beating the snot out of her hunter, she could take a fly-by to see what was inside, just really fast at least.

Kiber grinned behind his helmet at the suggestion. "Let's do it," he propelled himself away from the ship and found a rather large and stable asteroid to land on and waited for La'kuus to arrive. Even though it was a mock fight, he would give all he could to make it believable to her employers and would also play up an injury or two to make it credible.

La'kuus didn't go into pilot training for nothing. She did a few flips and side-ways turns to avoid asteroids, doing a somewhat job of making it look like her ship was damaged. She landed on the rock in question and pulled on her actual suit that was stuffed behind her. Just a purple and black pressure suit that was used to keep her from dying a few minutes in space. She pulled open the hatch and half floated out, hand on her blaster, and comlink turned off for good until the battle was finished.

Kiber turned off his comlink in kind and approached La'kuus, the star-map safely in his belt pouch. Removing his jet pack, he limbered up and prepared for the ensuing combat, his hand resting lightly on his leg-holstered blaster rifle.

I hope you're ready for this...

The girl stood out, staring at the hunter from the small distance where they have landed from each other. She hoped someone was watching this majestic moment of heroic battle. It would be a great time to mention to the bounty hunter that she used to fight and murder in pit fights, do excessive training almost every day, and ate almost two cows worth every day. She pulsed her fingertips, then raised both her pistols at once and went on a firing rage in the hunter's direction.

Each shot left her waiting for a cool-down, in which time she used her next blaster. Around two shots per four seconds were being fired, and distance was closing as she ran closer.

After another minute, the harmonic sound grew even louder in pitch-and something finally happened. The doors to the main hanger were beginning to open slowly. Leaving enough space for the ship they were in to go through. The inside was pitch black though, it looked like liquid almost.

"Woo! We're in!" Taking the spike and putting it back under his clothes, he turned on the outboard lights on the ship and fly forward into the black maw of the ships hanger. No sooner than the tail end of the ship got through, the doors closed.

Thanks to the ships outboard lights, they could see...mostly. The hanger was vast-and not empty. At least a dozen old luxury cruisers were parked in the hanger. Like monuments of the past, long entombed, they seemed to have collected an immense amount of dust. Bay doors open on all sides as if waiting patiently for their old owners. Otherwise the floodlights on the Avalon couldn't reach much further into the inky blackness of the ship.

The hanger looked...like nothing was unusual. Other than the ships appeared to have been waiting for passengers that never came.

As they were in a oxygenated environment, they could hear what was going on outside now, they could hear the thrusters and little pings off the giant ships hull as asteroids collided with the outside.

Bringing the ship down was an easy process now, and Olan with the help of Reno, landed the big bird of a ship and set the engines to cool.

"Step one, complete."

Unbuckling his belt he looked back at Harli and then to Reno. "Get ready to explore, pals. We got a lot of ground to cover." At that moment, Olan got up and went to his room. They could hear a lot of rustling going on in his room .

Peering through the scope on his rifle, Kiber let off a full clip of eight rounds; they bounced off La'kuus' armour and he broke into a run. Firing as he ran, the gap closed considerably. He affixed the bayonet to his rifle, since he might need it once they got into close quarters. He loaded another eight-round clip into the breech and used the iron sights to aim, getting off several more rounds in her general direction. The rifle went into its cool down phase and he felt a round from La'kuus' pistol carve a path over his right shoulder guard.

La La did her best to try avoiding the bullets, but that wasn't as easy as it sounded. Luckily her armor, was something, though it was starting to break up a bit. "Just give me the map, no one's watching." She said once the distance broke. She saw the ship leave, and... Well, it didn't look like Olan saw her.

[member="Kiber Thaxton"] @La'kuus Quelin

Olan totally did not see either of them. Probably doesnt help he was so focused on getting inside, and now there was thousands of pounds of durasteel between him and them. But he would have remarked that was a karking good beginning to a fight.

Olan would though pop out of his room with a large duffel strapped to his back, and now fully wrapped in his armor. Still he was sporting the blue captains jacket and the red sash of all things. Also a single Vibroblade hung off his hip. In his hands were his trusty blaster rifle and the medical kit. "Before we go, we gotta get those wounds of yours taken care of." He said as he opened up the slowly depleting medical kit. Preparing to work on Reno. "Harli, make use of anything over there-" He pointed to near the doors which lead to the cargo bay, there was a weapon rack there. Blasters, slug throwers, some aged, some new layered it. And below was also Vibroblades like Olans, and what looked like traditional swords of all things. Atop of that, there was a couple black packs on there that looked like they were packed with survival goods on closer inspection. "-that you made need. Same for you Reno after I patch you up." And he pulled out a bacta-bandage like the one he used before, thankfully these were burns from blaster shots, he didn't have any more wound sealent in this kit.

Kiber reached into his belt pouch and pulled out the disk that contained the star-map. "Is this what you're looking for La'kuus?" he flicked it up and down like his lucky coin he always carried with him. He approached her and held it in the palm of his hand. "It's all yours," he said.

"I will. It was a pleasure doing business with you La'kuus. If you ever need any more help, just give me a call," Kiber said, as he walked back over to his jet-pack and returned to the Galactic Ranger. Now it was time to head for home and count up this month's overall total of Credits.
