If I earn a restricted material on one character, am I allowed to use said material for making another character, that is not related to the first?

Specifically, I want to make a droid character with a lightsaber resisting material.
You may use it in any submission made by the character/writer account used to obtain the restricted material.

Example
  • [member="Bianca"] obtains Phrik in a mining thread.
  • [member="Bianca"] submits a droid with a phrik skeleton, it is approved.
  • New character is made with the droid submission as their model, including the restricted material.
Alternatively you may do another thread between the two characters (or your character and the manufacturer of the droid, I suppose, in which you can NPC the manufacturer if they are not a PC) and transfer the restricted material to that character, which would allow them to use it in a submission. Auctions and Storefront sales are also permitted.

Ok so i basically want to completely gut and remake my Tier 2 company and focus it on something other then what it is now, how do i go about that?

No. You will go to the company mods thread here: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/16318-company-modifications-v2/page-1

And follow the following directions and post it there.

Howdy, you magnificent capitalists.

This is where you go when you want to update your company submission for when you've grown in Tier or just feel like sprucing up your submissions. Simply fill out the template here and then someone will get to it.

TEMPLATE:

Company: (What company is being changed?) (Also, link the submission here.)
Modification Made: (What are you changing?)
Rationale: (Why are you doing this?)

Pertient Development Threads:
  • [Link] - [Description]

New Submission: [Please spoiler this]

[member="Cira"] By the Nine Divines of Asterose you are fast...

Thanks for the info, planning on specialising into alloys and composite materials with some armor application instead of being all around the board.

[member="Cira"]

Is a Canon company capable of selling canon items without Dev? Or should those items simply altered and dev'ed as new items?
Are you asking if they can sell canon items without submissions, or submit canon items without development? The answer to the former is yes (you are not required to submit anything to the factory or codex, they are both optional), the latter depends on how identical it is to canon. If they are similar and use the same basis, i.e; a beskar shield instead of a beskar sword (see: beskad), you will need development. If you are submitting, literally, an exact canon replica with no changes or additions, the answer is likely going to be yes (again, special circumstances may arise).

I have a stock version of a ship. If I aquire modifications IC to I need to do a new submission everytime? Say I have a ship with a class 2 hyperdrive, and IC, I buy a class 1, do I need to do a seperate submission each time I mod my ship?

I was looking up Cortosis on Wookiepedia and came across something I found interesting:
  • "The most valuable type of cortosis was the purified variation. It was know as Cortosis-Shield, used by Roan Fel's Imperial Knights on their gauntlets. It was effective, and could short out a lightsaber for a short period of time."
My question is: if I wanted to utilize Cortosis-Shield would I have to do complete a Dev Thread purifying the Cortosis, or would the Dev Thread for obtaining the Cortosis do?

Base cortosis, without adding any minerals to alter it, is automatically the very same as the description. It can be cut, but because its so brittle the chunks fly into the circuitry and disable it for a time. But this also makes it loose its durability found when adding it to another mineral!

Aka its nothing special. So no, a single is all that is required. However, its up to you if you want to do one!

(No I'm not admin/fj but I asked something very similar once and got this answer from Ashin Varanin)

Would it be possible, using Sith Sorcery and Alchemy is needed, to imbue an ability into clothing? My current plan is to imbue what would basically be an extremely strong Mind Trick into Xavka cloak, one that convinces people he's not there, allowing him to pass unnoticed through crowds and making it disorientating for people he'll fight (i.e they'll know he's there, but unless they're strong with mentalism, there'll always be a voice in the back of their heads saying that Xavka isn't there). Would this be possible?

Question about sizable project:

When Merr-Sonn reaches tier three, one of the requirements for elevation to 4 is a sizable project. Could this be something like opening its subsidiaries? As Merr-Sonn has 2, and I plan for a third non-cannon, I wonder if role playing through this would be acceptable?

Or would it need to be something like making a death star or something?
